This is one of the best places to go to get you vehicle worked on (this might just be a bias) but my father works there and hes one of the best mechanics in auburn and I promise you wont be disappointed.

Dustin and Crew went the extra mile for me. These guys are not your typical mechanics! They give more than they take and make sure that their customers are happy and cared for. G&L has rebuilt my transmission and closed a sunroof that jumped the track. They have done wonderful work every time I have used them. Sometimes, mechanics have a reputation for overcharging for things you may not need. Conversely, I have left G&L completely happy and in awe because Dustin didnt charge me. Dont get too excited! The job performed, that time, only took about 10min. But, you get my point, right?! I am so happy that I have found them and will use them for as long as they are in business and no matter what kind of car I drive.

Did a few repairs on my wifes truck and it was quick and not too expensive

Excellent customer service!I always enjoy taking my car to G & L for regular service checks. I know the car will be taken care of and so will I! Garry is so kind and thoughtful. Dustin is a great mechanic and explains things clearly. Linda at front desk helps the time go by with funny stories. I always leave with an even better running car and a big smile on my face!

Actually they have alot of positive reviews because theyre extremely good at what they do! Been a customer for years and have followed them from their move and mine all the way from Tacoma. Wont take my car anywhere else. They are knowledgeable and friendly. They work with you and work hard to produce quality work.

They got my car in right away for repairs. Found out I had a vacuum leak out of the valve cover. They replaced it quickly. I pulled the car out from my garage the next morning and saw a puddle of oil. I called and they got me in that afternoon. Found out they had received a defective part. They not only replaced it that afternoon, they took the extra time to clean the engine and compartment. They went the extra mile with my car and I really appreciated that. I will always recommend this company. Their honesty and integrity goes a long way. Thank you!!

I agree with all the bad reviews, it looks like this placed moved? not out of business as someone else suggested. They are a rip off and dont really know anything about vehicles. It looks like they have a lot of friends posting good reviews, theres no way the positive ones are real.

They worked really hard to figure out the problem with my truck and didnt stop till it was fixed. All done in a timely manner and great customer service!! Ill never take my vehicles to anyone but Garry.

We use to go to this shop all the time. For years we went here. I took my car in for a water pump. While it was at the shop it dropped a cylinder. We spent a couple thousand to fix the engine. They took apart the engine and told us that it would be as good as new. Did an oil change and the whole thing. The engine lasted less than 400 miles before it threw a rod. We talked to multiple mechanics and they all said with the work that was done it was no way that it wasnt caused by this shop. We asked for a refund or for them to fix it free if charge. We were told no so we talked to our credit card company about the charges and told them that it should have been under some sort of warranty seeing as how short a time it was. G&L LIED to the credit card company so that they could keep the money. I hope they can sleep at night after taking 2 grand and totalling our car. I will never use this shop again. I now actively tell everyone I know about this situation so they dont suffer the same fate. If you like your vehicle, dont take it to these scam artists.

Ive been reading all these negative reviews and not sure where they come from. I was referred to G & L from my great friend Michael the Preacher. My van engine light came on and took it to two other shops and they said they didnt have the testing equipment to see the issue with a 1995 Dodge Ram Van. So I took it to G & L and they determined with their testing equipment that the alternator was bad. Props to them for being able to determine the issue so fast. I needed to get back on the road fast for my Heating & AC business. The fixed it within a day and their price was great. I also have thousands of dollars of tools in their and not one was missing after. I read these comments that people think they did an inside job of taking ones wheels and tires. These people arent like that and are very honest. Dustin was really nice and great to deal with the whole time. Hes very patient and thorough. Gary I believe is the owner. Only met him once but he was real nice. He also made my van a priority because he knew how important I needed to get back on the road for my business. Awesome place and recommend to anyone.My friend Michael is a very religious God loving person and he steered me to this place. I highly recommended them and i went with it and had a great experience. Im believe these other positive comments are from real people and not done by friends or family like some suggest. Im thankful I found a great shop that is close and competent. Most other shops arent as knowledgeable and are too slow on getting my van fixed.Thanks guys at G & L

If i could apply a negative star rating.....i would. This shop refused to take accountability for an issue they undoubtebly created.....they tried and tried to deny or take any responsibility for the issue despite clearly causing it. They left parts loose and leaking, claiming they did test drives but clearly did not as the noise was evident and would have been clear within the first mile of the test drive. Not once, but twice. I have no idea how these guys are in business or can even claim to provide competent auto service because they cannot. Unless you want to be lied to and cheated and have your car in worse condition than when you brought it in, choose another shop. This is the kind of place that gives real techs a bad name. Prove me wrong.

I have been coming here for over 12 years. As well my grandfather had also, whom told me about them..My first experience was re: failing a emissions test. They spent over a hour, hooked it up to a device that costs o st $50.00 alone, test drove it, had me buy a new gas cap elsewhere and charged me nothing. I had been scammed elsewhere in past. They are always very busy, but work you in. Will give you a ride locally. Also the price is fair, and upfront. If ever a issue ask for Gary the owner he will take care of you. Lmao, I just read the angry persons comment that all or any positive reviews are fake? Far from it, what a miserable unhappy person.

These guys are great! I was out and about when my car started to misfire, wasnt sure what was wrong (this is a 2016 Jeep Cherokee) so I found the nearest repair shop and ended up here. When I got there I spoke to one of the employees and the owner, they were short staffed and let me know they wouldnt be able to get to my car right away. However, the owner offered to take a quick look after I described the issue because he suspected he knew what the problem was. And just like that he found the problem, I had a bad coil pack...These guys took the time to quickly go under the hood and find the bad coil pack, which looked like was caused by oil spillage around the coil packs from my last oil change. They cleaned it all up for me and DIDNT CHARGE ME A DIME! So grateful for these guys! I went and bought a new coil pack for $50 and my car is back to new. I will definitely refer these guys. Thanks!

Terrible. Couldnt trust them - had to take the car back to them five times (Im not exaggerating, it was literally five times) after original repair in order to get it running right again. Will never go back here again and I recommend you stay away too.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Do NOT take your car to this place!I broke down in Auburn and was able to barely make it to the nearest shop, which was this lousy dump. They charged me an exorbitant amount for work & didnt even use the stupid diagnostic computer that they charged me for.They gave me a price over the phone that was reasonable, then told me a price twice that amount once I came back to pick up the car. They knew they had me over a barrel - what a bunch of con artists. Seriously, going to the dealer would have been cheaper!

First dont take your to a shop that has a lot of the same cars that have been parked there for weeks maybe months.Secondly state law requires repair shops to give a written estimate if repairs take place. G&L didnt do this for me.They replaced several parts that didnt fix the problem.A starting developed while they had the truck and Gary tried to sell me new batteries but the batteries were new. Their fix was to put a metal screw between the battery post and the clamp. Half ass repair.Several d ays after I took the truck home they notified me that they had forgot to bill four hundred dollars and me being stupid I paid it. So Gary I am going to slam you again because you need it.Dont take your car there for transmission repairs, they. dont know what they are doing Elam Anderson Auburn

Well, our car was in the lot to get fixed, and all 4 tires were stolen, rims included. Now they want to charge us $6000 for the engine we need replaced, and refuse to replace the tires that were stolen. My personal opinion, inside job. Do not go here!
