Submitted 2 cameras and was promised to have them fully repaired in 7-10 days. It took 25 days and only 1 camera was partially repaired. When I called I and asked on why it was taking so long, I was told that they had no way to reach the technician who worked on his own schedule and at home. There was no accountability. When I came to pick up my cameras I wasnt told that one wasnt fixed. Absolutely terrible service and a poor job. Receptionist was really nice and understanding but of little help.EDIT.My other camera that I assumed was fixed, wasnt fully fixed. I did go back and asked for a full refund which I did get. I was also asked to remove this review.

Took two lens there Aug 24. Given an estimate and told 7-10 days to repair. Then told neither lens would be ready by Sept. 11 when I needed them. One lens needed a part. They called Sept. 1 and told me one lens was repaired but the other needed to be sent to Sony and Sony would give another estimate. Went to pick up the lens and the one that I was told was repaired was not repaired. This was an issue because I had already set up service with another repair shop who sent a work order and shipping label. I had planned to leave Camera Service and go directly to FedEx to ship the other lens but could not because I now needed a new work order, shipping label and different box. Complete waste of my time going here. Will never do business with them again. Given misinformation several times.

I DID NOT not have a good experience with this company and would not recommend it to anyone else. Scammed out of $674. I would give them 0 stars if I could.I took my Mamiya RZ67 to be repaired there and they quoted me about $295 to which I agreed and paid for. Then, they called back a few days later and said they needed to charge me more because the repairman needed to order a part, which was an additional $379. I never wouldve agreed to the original price had I known that I would be charged an additional $379. However, since I already paid the original $295, I went ahead and did it, even though I thought it was very unprofessional. (They gave me a $20 discount, which is borderline laughable). So with labor, tax, and everything, the grand total was $674.LONG STORY SHORTAfter a month of waiting to get the camera back, I got the camera a couple of days before I went to LA. The shutter seemed to be repaired, and I specifically asked if it had been tested because I wasnt going to have time to test shoot with it since I got it back so late. They said that it had.I get to my shoot in LA and the camera DID NOT WORK. The battery kept getting overheated and the shutter got stuck.I had to go to a local repair store in LA and spend an additional $400. Now Camera Service Co wont refund me any money because of their warranty policy. Not that I wouldve returned to them anyway because they clearly couldnt repair it the first time. I went to LA solely to shoot with my Mamiya, and I had to panic find someone to fix it. I am now out $1000. Camera Service Co was unprofessional through and through. The ladies who answer the phones are the only redeeming quality about this company. Dont make the same mistake I did by using this company, I will be telling everyone in my photography community to stay far away from them.

Screw this place. I dropped my lens off early December of 2020, and they quoted me $50 for the repair total. That made me excited. After several times of having to call and check on the lens , just before Christmas they tell me they needed to order another part and it will cost another $100 dollars to fix.I was looking to get the lens back be before Christmas so I could service my clients. So now my total is $150 and no lens for Christmas. Now, before the new year they tell me they have to send it to the manufacturer and will cost me $80 dollars more to fix. Thats $230. They couldve said that in the beginning. They seem like a scam company who is taking my money in phases with nothing to show for. It stops here. I will give you no more money. Run me my equipment back and dont mess it up more. I know what was wrong with it before this happened. I wont recommend any body to this scam company. I can buy a new lens from Amazon for that cost.

Customer beware. Took a relatively popular film camera to this location is hopes for professional and timely repair service but was left greatly disappointed about the operations of this repair shop. Once dropped off, I was assured by staff to receive an update within 2-3 business days, which is a good turn around time for an update or quote, however a complete week passed by with no communication of the status of the camera. I had to call the shop to receive news that there was nothing wrong with the camera. Great, but it was not great, because I had to ask if they referred to an email I sent the day after the drop off of a scan of a film that can suggest the cameras core issue. I was assured once again I will receive a call back for further updates. Another week went by with no communications. Once again, I had to call the shop to ask for the cameras update, only to receive news that the repair needed was the shutter and the quote was for $300. Which was obviously the laziest excuse of providing an issue that needed repair. Case in point, took it to another shop to find out the pull claw needed tightening not the shutter. This shop will NOT notify you on your properties updates, you will find yourself being the one to tug the shop to receive any communication, your emails will be ignored, then you might be misdiagnosed of the true issue of the camera and be quoted at a mark way above the average. Let me know if youd like to know what film camera shop helped my issue, will advise my photographers to avoid this location for any repairs. At your own risk.

Great camera repair service! I had an issue with my Sony A7RIII shutter curtain and they fixed the issue quickly just in time before I had a wedding to photograph. Several months in, my camera is still performing beautifully and felt like new when I got it back from them.I’d say many of you should try to disregard the negative reviews from other people complaining about the price of repairs. If you’re a photographer, high prices for camera equipment should not be a surprise, and that includes the price of repairs. They may give you an initial quote for the repair, but when diagnosing the issue down the line after disassembly, they may tell you additional parts are needed and you’ll have to pony up the cost if you want it fixed. This is standard for a lot of the consumer electronics repair industry. They’re not scamming. They just simply can’t continue the repair without having the necessary parts first. And people always forget about labor costs. If you want a high quality repair, labor costs are necessary. You get what you pay for. If you can’t afford it, well that sucks for you dude. Welcome to the reality of the photography and repair industry.Altogether the price of repair for parts and labor totaled nearly $500 for my particular issue. To an amateur hobbyist, this’ll be hard to swallow. But if you’re an actual professional and you see yourself as such, this is a very fair price. I’d rather pay $500 for a repair than $2300 for a brand new camera. I did my due diligence before getting my camera fixed at this location and researched what the price of a new shutter part is for my Sony A7RIII and the general cost of labor as quoted by the official manufacturer (Sony). What Camera Service Co quoted me was very similar to what Sony quoted me, so I knew I was getting an honest genuine price. I decided to get my camera fixed at this shop instead of Sony because that would’ve required me to ship my camera off to a Sony repair center which meant longer wait times. And if there was an issue with the repair, then I’d have to ship it back again. To save myself from the potential hassle and headache, I chose to go with a local camera repair shop that I can quickly drive to and Camera Service Co did the job! I had a great experience with them, and should I need another repair, I’m glad to have a repair shop close by that I can trust.

I have had a couple jobs done by the shop prior to my most recent visit. I have never been dissatisfied with the work, though I feel that the cost to repair a defective flash unit on my Nikon D7100 was a little high. I was also disappointed that they required an advance credit card payment for my most recent job even though I had previously paid upon picking up my unit. I was informed that some customers had challenged the cost when picking up their equipment even though they had been told the amount over the phone prior to the work being done. I like to have a special relationship with merchants with whom I do business and would prefer that I be treated based upon my experience with them and not the experience with other customers. However, I can appreciate the difficulty of deciding to whom they can extend credit and to whom they cannot. There are not a lot of places in the Metro Atlanta area where one can get the kind of reliable service one needs, especially for high-end camera equipment, so there isnt much competition. Service reps are friendly and courteous and, again, I have no complaints about the quality of workmanship.

After having my camera for two and a half days I decided to call them just to check on things, they then told me after checking into the camera they were not able to fix it because they don’t work on cameras of this body style. Needed my Nikon D5300 repaired. Problem was power supply and swivel glass repair. Glue on swivel glass came didnt hold. Turned it to the inside and used for a year with viewfinder only while researching to try to decide where to get repaired and then it wouldnt power on so I had to find a shop. Made several phone calls prior to mailing off to make sure I chose the shop well. So I mailed it off Aug 11. The next week they called with initial estimate of $263 to which I agreed. Repairs were made and still wouldnt power on so they called to ask for additional $90 for another part. I commented when they called that I guess I had no choice because otherwise I spent $263 to get back a camera that still wouldnt power on and the guy on the phone agreed. I called back a week later to ask status and they said they thought they had the part in stock but was wrong and had to order. Part still hadnt arrived. I had another conversation about being unhappy to spend so much on a used camera that I could have spent a little more and got a new body. The girl told me I did have a choice and could refuse. They would have put camera back in original condition and refunded my original payment. She said that was their policy. I asked to do that and then was told she was wrong and that after they ordered that last part it was nonrefundable. I told her I didnt understand because she initially told me she thought they had one in stock. If they stocked the part, why was it nonrefundable just because they had to order it? She didnt have a clear answer. Finally, last Thursday 8/31, I called again to check status. Was told it would be repaired and put in mail that day. Called again 9/7 to check on status and was told it was mailed 9/6. I asked for and was given a tracking number and it should finally be delivered on 9/8. I did receive a $30 discount on the last repair for my trouble for which I am grateful, but I am still a very unhappy customer.

I dropped of a camera here to be repaired October 9th, 2015 after a long wait, I finally had my camera returned to me November 3rd, 2015. I called or emailed for an update 3 times. Each instance , I was told that the camera part had not been delivered yet, but it should be delivered today and we will have your camera by ( a deadline they didnt meet.) When my camera part finally arrived, I was told they had received the wrong part and had to send the piece back, and for the correct piece to be shipped. Meanwhile, I was still waiting.... It was not until I threatened to refund, when magically my camera was ready, after I was told it should have been ready days ago.To be fair, my camera was fixed and is now working properly. The reps who I talked to were kind and were apologetic. I understand, if there was a mailing issue, but come on guys almost a month! I wish , the issue was communicated to me better, instead of me having to constantly bother them, about when my camera would be fixed.. I did asked and they agreed to provide a complimentary sensor cleaning, I have not taken my camera out yet to test , but I do hope they really did.My advice to anyone coming here. Make sure they provide an exact date, and demand they stick to it.

I visited Camera Service Co Inc. after dropping my camera and jamming the lens on a Nikon Coolpix L330. The camera would turn on, but the lens was stuck. This was an older model and I have had it for at least 5 years. The reviews on Yelp and Google made me decide to request a quote instead of ordering a used replacement online. Last Monday, I called in to inquire and the service from the employee that answered was pleasant, even for a phone call. He explained that they would take the camera and have a technician examine it and then phone me the next day with the quote, before performing the service. They did not charge a diagnostic fee or require a deposit for providing the quote (even if I decided not to have the camera fixed there). I decided to bring the camera around lunch time the same day, and the customer service was on par with the friendly service that I received on the phone. I received a copy of the receipt, which indicated the camera model number, date, my information and the things that were included with my camera at the time when I dropped it off (i.e. the camera strap, double a batteries). I kept the SD card. I received a call on Tuesday from the female technician with the quote. It was a bit pricier than I expected at $110, but I decided to proceed because I was not ready to upgrade my camera to a DSLR yet, and I did not want to purchase a used camera online (for a higher price with the risk of defects). I was advised of a 7-10 business day turnaround, and expected to receive the call for pickup around 1/22/20. I received the call this past Saturday 1/11/20, and picked it up right before closing at 1 PM. Also, the repair comes with a 3 month warranty as well, which is awesome and gives me more peace of mind. I was impressed with the condition of the lens. It looked clean and shiny and worked good as new! I would highly recommend Camera Service Co Inc. on the customer service alone! I can confidently say that I made the right decision. My experience was great. They have awesome service and you can tell that they know their stuff by looking at their certifications and cameras of all ages on site.

First of all, I have to say that the customer service here is well beyond anything Ive gotten anywhere else!I dropped my camera off for a simple repair, but it ended up being sent Nikon because it was a manufacturer issue. When I called to check on the return time I was informed that it would take longer than they anticipated.I was a bit upset and a little panicked because I was being deployed and really wanted to have a camera for the Tiger Cruise beforehand. When I told the manager this, he immediately told me not to worry and that he would take care of me. He couldnt get the camera back from Nikon any sooner, so he sent me a loaner to use in the mean time!No corporate business that I know of would have done that! Not only did he go above and beyond what most people would, he took it into his own hands and solved the problem on the spot! This is exactly what makes small businesses in this country great!Im not a professional photographer or anything, but from now on, any time I or any of my family or friends need camera service, this is the place Ill call first!A HUGE thanks to Camera Service Co for everything!!

I had an old Sony handycam camcorder that had trouble with playback , I brought the camera in and they guy told me roughly around $200 to fix, I agreed and he stated that it would take roughly 5 business days to a week to fix and they would give me a call once it’s done . I agreed and after 3 weeks of no response from the company I called back and a lady told me it would be done in 3 days and she would call me, 3 days later I didn’t recieve a call so I called back and she told me she forgot to call and they it would be an additional 2 extra days longer. After the 2 days I went to the store to pick my camera up and as I walk in she states that the “technician “ had been working on my camera up until the minute I got in and that they could not fix it because it’s a older camera, so they worked on my camera for 3 weeks just to tell me it’s too old to fix. Then here’s the real eye catcher, she goes to give me my refund and accidentally charges me for another purchase, So after I got refunded for a SECOND TIME I take my camera get on the road and look down at it, only to realize they didn’t put my battery back into the camera, I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

I love little shops like this, seemed very professional and honest. Helped me with my problem and didnt try to sell services I didnt need. Will definitely be using them for my camera repair needs in the future!

The customer service must be better. I used this company to many times and 100% satisfied with repair service. But customer service must be better.

I contacted Camera Service Company after speaking with another authorized Canon repair company who told me my wifes Power Shot G7 camera could not be repaired. They told me the parts were not available and suggested I buy a G9 they had which was reconditioned. I spoke with Allison at C.S.R. I explained the problem and she told me that she thought they could repair the camera. Allison called me after they received the camera on 1/13 and told me the cost to repair it including shipping! Allison told me it would be between 5 and 7 days to repair the camera. We received our repaired camera on 1/18. I will not use another camera repair company for any future repairs. Allison is an excellent representative for this company. What a pleasure to have a company like this to go to in this day and age.

Recently sent in my camera for cleaning. It was sent back dirtier than when I sent it. They would not pay for return shipping. With all the shipping charges, Im out $100 for cleaning so far and will now have to incur additional costs to send it to a reliable camera company for actual service.

Recently, I dropped in at Camera Services in Atlanta to see if they could repair my Nissan flash. I was delighted that they took the time right then to have a tech look at my flash. It only took a few minutes and when the young lady in the office brought my flash back, she said, youre ready to go. The problem had been minor and they fixed it on the spot. When I asked how much I owed them, she said, nothing-have a great day! From the 1st phone call to the last goodbye, they were pleasant and professional. I will go back if and when I have a problem with my equipment. Thanks again, Camera Service!

Read Before Coming Here: Dont gamble your camera repairs here. You may come out with allot less than what you brought in. My Story: They fixed a lens adapter for my Sony a7ii 100%. Small amount of water also got into camera to cause the shutter button to stop working. Everything else was fully functional for 3 MONTHS, so I just took it in for a quote. The lady handling the front desk was super rude the whole time and outright offensive during the whole process. I declined the 700$ quote (bad choice even though I didnt have that kind of money at the time) so they returned it and offered me 100$ for it. Still planning to use the handheld remote via tripod, I said no and they said it wouldnt last very long (as if they had done something to it while taking it apart). Sure enough it was non-functional after 3 days of photos. I had to leave for work soon after that and when I took it back today the owner basically told me to forget about the camera and be happy for the holidays no longer offering any work on the camera. Wow! If I would have kept my functioning a7ii out of this technicians hands it would still be working with a wireless remote or sold as is for someone else to repair. It no longer shoots at all. Im out $1700 now. If they screw something up, it will most likely be your fault and they will wipe their hands clean of the matter...not a safe place for professional grade modern cameras. Friendly guy but unprofessional/crooked business practices. Just be aware!

Staffs were friendly, location is a little hard to find, I had to call them and ask for directions. Turnaround was also very good, i dropped the camera yesterday and I got it back already. The only thing I am not happy is the price, it took $180 to fix the flash on my D90 even though no parts needed to be replaced and it was just some loose wire.

I came in with a 1980-ish polaroid camera that I found at a thrift store and was looking to get some service. I was prepared to pay a few bucks since I got the camera for almost nothing. But after looking at my camera they said it looks like its in good condition and should work just fine....now they could of charged me and I wouldnt known the difference since I know nothing about camera...but they did not.....not only that they give me the name of a competitor in Dunwoody where I could pick up film....wow...no wonder these guys have been in business since FDR was president.....outstanding service! highly recommend them! thanks guys...

Ive been a commercial photographer for 50 years and used quite a few excellent repair companies. I sent a Rolleiflex 3.5F to them that needed a total cleaning, lube and adjusting. It had been stuck away unused for nearly forty five years. The shutter was frozen, focus stiff, winding and counter not working properly, lens had minor fungus, haze in the lens, and a number of other problems.I sent the camera to them and they quoted $400 for a total CLA. I will say they were reasonably fast but when I received the camera back it appeared all they had done was CLA the shutter and lube the counter. They didnt do the other services they quoted and charged for. In addition they didnt even completely reassemble the camera. Parts were left floating around in the mirror box and the front surface mirror was covered with 45 years of dirt. The lens was still dirty too and the fungus was still there.I called them and said I wanted a partial refund and they didnt want to do that. They insisted I give them another chance and finally did, unfortunately. I told them I wanted the camera back in a week and they agreed. At the end of the week, nothing. I called and they said their tech was sick and would need another week. Another week, more excuses. Anther week, more excuses. Another week, I received it back and still not everything was done. This is the worst repair service Ive ever seen in fifty years. Im now sending the camera to a trusted repair service that the owner retired from but agreed to fix my camera. Im having the fungus cleaned out of the lens and the aperture calibrated. The camera apparently wast reassembled correctly the second time.Stay away from these guys!

They have repaired two old, rare and expensive Leica lenses for me and I could not be happier with the results! Both lenses were hazy, one was also very stiff when focusing. Both lenses are now crystal clear and as smooth as silk in operation. They have also repaired other cameras and replaced light seals for me. And I have another recently acquired gem that will be on its way to them soon.

I sent my Nikon camera that was dead to CSC in late December and they got back to me with an estimate that I okd and put on my credit card. I called to check on it in early January 2018 and was told they were waiting for parts and would notify me. called again on 14 Feb and after a lengthy wait was told that the board that was needed was not available and it was put aside. Plus they couldnt get a lens cap I need and they want to charge me to ship my still dead camera back. No, deal with the New York Nikon Shop.

Dropped a 24-70 2.8 a few years back..still worked ok, but over time, the zoom barrel became sticky. Got the lens back before a big trip and I swear, it works better than it did when new. Costly repair, but thats what happens when you drop expensive glass. Id trust these guys to deliver babies.
