We were hesitant about spending so much $$ with Applerouth. We had already employed another tutoring service in our area & didnt get much success in moving the ACT & SAT scores up. You get what you pay for. Natalie at the Holcomb Bridge location is absolutely amazing!I cant recommend her enough. Shes passionate about what she does, shes relational, shes bubbly and she cares so much about each student with whom she works. Our students score went up a total of 4 points! The most amazing detail is that she had only a few weeks with which to tutor our senior and this was the last ACT test that could be counted toward additional scholarship. The money was well spent and Im a stickler for saving. Natalie would be great for both academics or ACT/SAT tutoring. She packs so much into the sessions you really feel you are getting your moneys worth while the student doesnt feel overwhelmed with information...not quite sure how she accomplishes this but its a GIFT!

When my son took his practice SAT and ACT tests, I was concerned about how low his scores were and that he was on an uphill battle to get the scores he needed.We were fortunate to be placed with Michael Heveran. Michael is a true professional. He, along with my son, established that the SAT would be a better fit and suggested registering for specific test dates to maximize the tutoring sessions. Michael used the time wisely and strategically to prepare my son for his tests. He identified his learning strengths and gave him tips and assignments that catered to his natural abilities. Michael also connected with my son, was patient and helped him feel confident about the process. The best part is that my son had a 640 POINT improvement in his scores! Hard to believe, but true. The key to the success was Michaels skill and the one on one tutoring. A class room prep program would have been a waste of time and money. Im so thankful for Michael and Applerouth. Michael should win an award for that score jump!

I am sorry to say we have not had a good experience. Their sales pitch is better than the actual product. I feel as if I have wasted thousands of dollars. My suggestion to,parents looking for tutoring services is to network and find an individual that come highly recommended. You will spend about half as much money. Individual tutors are much more adaptable to the needs of the student than a large company with a one size fits all approach.

My son worked with Jenna Henderson and she was amazing. He enjoyed all the sessions and we can see a great improvement. I will highly recommend Jenna and Applerouth.

Our tutor was great, but my son didnt increase his ACT score as guaranteed. When I asked about the guarantee, they told me that since my son had used some of his tutoring hours on the SAT and had not used all of his hours to focus on the ACT, that they would not stand by the guarantee. They told me that I would have to spend over $1,000 more to make up those hours (so that he had a total of 20 hours spent focused solely on the ACT) if I wanted to hold them to the guarantee. Im sure that this is explained somewhere in the fine print on their website, but I feel like it should have been explained to us up front and that they should have pointed it out during the course of the tutoring so that we didnt end up in this situation. Had I known the way this rule works, then I would definitely have had my son focus only on the one test. I feel like they denied their guarantee based on a technicality. After spending $3,300 on tutoring, I expected to get the results they promised and we didnt. I was very disappointed.

Michael Heveran tutored our son, Hank for the ACT test. Hank took the test two times. Hank felt like Michael could easily see where his weak points on the test would be so he would concentrate on those areas tutoring him. Hank felt confident and well prepared going into each of the ACT tests. The second time he raised his score by three points!To see my son walk into the room doing a fist pump in the air after finding out his ACT test results was terrific!I would highly recommend Michael Heveran and Applerouth Tutoring Services.

We had a terrific experience with Appelrouth. Our son worked with Phil Silverman, a very savvy instructor who always made the sessions interesting. Our son was pleasantly surprised by the experience, and it led to very measurable increases in his SAT score, which we his parents very much appreciate. Parents who are looking for ways to help their college-bound children would do very well to make this reasonable investment.

Ask for Kayla Edgett! She helped both my kids with the ACT and the SSAT (applying to private high school). She was very patient, very detailed and had Excellent follow up! Really The Best!!

Jennifer Gaulding did an amazing job of helping my daughter increase her SAT scores dramatically over the course of about 12 weeks, lending invaluable assitance in both critical reading and math skills. Now, my daughter is heading to Tulane University, her first college choice. The expense for the private sessions was one of the best investments weve made for her, academically.

Kayla Edgett is a fabulous tutor! She was a perfect match for my son because her calm and encouraging demeanor clicked with him. Kayla set high expectations with regular assignments, but that motivated my son to practice the problem sets. The follow-up review of the practice problems along with Kaylas tips and strategies made all the difference in a strong first-time performance on the SAT. Another key component to Applerouths tutoring success is its regular offering of full-length mock exams. My son took a baseline mock exam in June and then two other mock exams prior to the November SAT. Kayla reviewed each of the mock tests results with my son and targeted specific strategies for him. He felt so familiar with the test by the time he took his first SAT that he scored 290 points above his baseline mock exam. I highly recommend Kayla Edgett as a personal SAT tutor. She is very thorough and efficient as well as calm, understanding and encouraging. She relates well to teenagers and is willing to assist as much as a student wants to work.

I feel out of place doing this review as a student rather than a parent, but nevertheless:We purchased 10 hours of premium tutoring for the SAT. I was tutored by Tal Kitron, who was pretty much always accessible and who was a great tutor overall. Though my first mock test was slightly higher in score than my final SAT score, it was a bit of an outlier the average of my mock tests and PSAT was closer to the low 2000s. Using this average, with a final score of 2200 on the SAT, the tutoring helped boost my test grades significantly. As previously stated, the tutor himself was also great and the overall experience was very positive.

We have 3 daughters each have had tutoring sessions with different companies, so when we considered your service we were cautious. With each experience we had little motivation from our daughters to complete their homework, or to retake the test. When Tal the tutor from Applerouth came to us he was warm, personable and knowledgeable, in fact he is is an attorney. He has given my daughter so many new skills and suggestions she is actually looking forward to retaking the ACT test. Every time he came to our home she was able to stay focused and motivated to reach her goals of improved scores. I can not say enough about him and the tutor services you offer.
