We called Peach State after noticing discoloration of our new hardwood floors under our area rugs. We spoke with James on a Friday, and he came by Monday morning to take a look and give us a quote to fix the staining. He was punctual, communicative, and respectful of us and our home. As new homeowners, we had a lot of questions and he was patient and thorough in explaining everything we needed to know. He ultimately recommended that we wait to refinish the floors a few years down the line, which highlights how ethically he runs his business - at no point did he try to encourage a sale that he didnt genuinely believe we needed. We just moved into a new home and there are a lot of projects we had to get done, the floors being a huge one. I spoke with a lot of contractors and in all honestly they were all pretty similarly priced BUT Peach State Hardwood took the cake as far as responsiveness, quality, professionalism, etc. James and his crew were a breath of fresh air when it came to working with a quality team. James talked me through the whole process, even recommended the stain I ended up choosing when I was on the fence with which one I should choose. We are SO SO happy with the outcome. As a new homeowner, I was so excited to refinish my beat up hardwood floors. I had James out to do an estimate and he immediately broke the news to me that my floors are engineered hardwood and would not be so easy to redo. That being said, James was able to explain alternative options to me and we decided it would be most cost effective to install luxury vinyl plank over the existing floor. James understood that I had a particular look in mind and was very flexible with showing me flooring samples. After I finally found the perfect plank, the install process was extremely quick, taking one day to do my entire townhouse. The guys were very polite, showed up on time, and did a great job installing and cleaning up at the end of the day. They even made an extra trip out the next week to install the special transition pieces I had ordered. Its rare to have zero complaints after getting any work done on your house, but I can definitely say that is how I feel about my experience with James and Peach State Hardwood!

Such an easy process. From the quote with James to the completion of work with AG, this crew went above and beyond. They even repaired the place in the floor where previous owners had cut through and it looks amazing. There were a few spots/stains that they were concerned about not being able to get out but as these are the original hardwoods from a 65 year old house we think it adds character and we are thrilled to see them restored to their original potential while keeping some of the history of an old home. We are very pleased with the before/after and would recommend them to anyone.

We recently had our hardwood floors refinished by Peach State Hardwood Floors and they did a great job. They were able to schedule us right away and worked on a holiday so the floors could be completed before we moved into our new home. When we did the walk-through we noticed dark stain drops on the landing of the stairs and Nathan addressed it right away. Later that day we also noticed one of the vent covers was broken and Nathan came the next day to replace the cover. Despite a few details that were initially overlooked, they were immediately addressed without issue. We will definitely used Peach State Hardwood Floors in the future.

W. O. W... I’m a fashion designer, just moved from LA, bought a home with hardwoods on first floor and carpet everywhere else. Terrace levels with concrete. After multiple quotes, I went with James at Peach State Hardwood. He gave me the best price, but more importantly, he was super personable and I felt like he really listened to me and worked with me to design the options of the floors. We had to refinish first floor, install and match/finish 2nd and 3rd floors, and find a vinyl engineered flooring to match for terrace levels. due to concrete.]I was dealing with a beast of red oak, and wanting washed out light wood floors. It was a real task trying to figure out how to eliminate red and pink hues and not use bleach. After sanding down, the floors were gorgeous in their natural state. I just loved the way they looked and felt naturally with nothing on them. I wanted a real rustic/modern European country house feel and I wanted to know how to capture that raw essence. James then told me about a product he doesn’t use often unless you understand what it does, because it seals the floors but captures them in their natural state. That’s exactly what I wanted. No glossy shine, no stain. Just sealed so protected. WORKED LIKE A CHARM.I’m soooooooo picky and always find things wrong [it’s the designer in me] and I can honestly say I’ve never experienced a project where every time I came, I was in love with what was happening, and everything worked out just how I wanted it. Did I mention we only had one week to do 4000 square feet and this project stayed on time! WhaaaaaaT? That’s unheard of!Sidenote shout outs to Danubio and Nathan. Poor Danubio... I wanted a herringbone foyer and he sat there with these teeny tiny pieces of wood and laid all of the geometry for days. It was well worth it though, it’s everything! I love love love it. Looks perfect.And Nathan handled the LOBA finishes and buffing and did a great job with even the texture of the floors. They feel simultaneously smooth and raw/rustic at the same time.I am so thrilled. The one friend we’ve brought to the house to date already wants to hire them to re-do their floors.Can’t recommend enough. AMAZING. So initially I hired another company to refinish hardwood floors in our new to us house. We waited 6 weeks for this company and arranged our move around the floors so that we would have an empty house and no furniture while they were refinished. The day of the appointment the crew of this other company was a no show and I couldn’t even get them to answer their phone or texts. I panicked and searched online sites for another company and up popped Peachstate Hardwood floors. They had excellent reviews and for good reason. I called and James answered, the owner of the company, and I explained my predicament. He was reassuring and let me know he could be out in a couple of hours to give me a solid quote. At this point I just figured I’d have to have the movers come deliver my furniture and then move everything to redo the floors. But James had a plan in place. He gave me a fantastic quote, explained the whole process to me, showed me pictures of other jobs, and was all around impressive. The most amazing part was that he could squeeze me in and get everything done before the movers showed up!! How amazing is that! The job they did was incredible!! We now have the most beautiful floors imaginable! And then he gave me ideas for other areas of the house that I am planning on doing things to. I look forward to hiring James and his crew for my other flooring needs, which will probably be a lot, lol! James and his team did an amazing job on refinishing my hardwood floors. They also installed new floors in all the bedrooms that look beautiful and you can’t even tell that they are new additions as they seamlessly flow into the rest of the house. Everything about the experience of working with Peach State Hardwood was excellent, from the first meeting with James to get an estimate, to working with Nathan and his crew, to the final product. James was incredibly helpful in going through options with us during the initial meeting. The main floor of the house has white oak floors that were being refinished and existing pine baseboards from the 1960s. So, finding a stain for the toe molding that got close to the color of the baseboards - which had aged and patinated to a very unique color - was challenging to say the least. James and Nathan rose to the challenge and found a great solution to make sure we were satisfied with the final result. They do amazing work and offer great service to their clients. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to refinish their hardwood floors.

James Santos and his crew are great to work with. They are very attentive to details and making sure the job is just what you want. They were able to remove 90% of the creaks in our floors, put new flooring down and finish them beautify.

I spent over 3 months deciding which flooring company would do the best job and not over charge me. I interviewed over 6 companies as I had never had hardwood floors installed and carpet removed. James went above and beyond to make sure we got exacting what we wanted. We wanted to install Brazilian cherry hardwood in our house to match the floors that already existed. He literally brought the flooring we were going to buy, stained a sample in front of us over existing flooring, to determine if it would meet our needs. James always recommended what was best for us not what was the best for his company or the bottom line.The extremely customer friendly experience extends to his installation and sand/finish teams as well. They were receptive to any feedback or adjustments that I wanted. They got all phases of the project done in the time committed. Actually because of my kids James moved the schedule around to get the job done earlier so to provide more time for the oil finish to subside in the smell that comes along with the product. Based on your floors oil is the way to go but most companies wont tell you that. James will tell you what is best. Oil is more costly to install and James was almost the only person to recommend it. Most companies wanted to get in and out.I even had an issue with the kitchen floors that he came back and resolved without issues or a fuss to meet our independent kitchen-reno schedule.

I am very picky about things. However, James (owner) and Murilo (crew foreman) exceeded my expectations. James was personable but professional. He was on time when we met for an estimate. He provided a quote at that time. He explained everything to me and provided options for what needed to be done. Above all, he didn’t pressure me to sign but asked me to review the estimate and contact him when ready. I had received a few other quotes that were similarly priced. However, his professional approach and his level of organization were enough to sign with him. He and I were able to coordinate a date that worked well for both of us. He called me a few days prior to confirm the start date and to review the stain colors. On the start date, Murilo and his crew were on time. They were very friendly and explained their plans for completing the job. They texted me with updates each day and were very trustworthy. I had many hundreds of dollars worth of tools in an adjacent room. I didn’t expect any issues but everything was exactly where I left it - just nice to know that you can trust the people in your home. Each day, Murilo and his counterpart showed up on time and were ready to work. At the completion of the job (completed on time and as promised), Murilo texted me that they were finished. I was completely impressed with the final product. The floors were beautiful - consistent stain and finish from corner to corner. Also, everything was very clean - no scuffs on the walls and no noticeable dust anywhere. James then followed up with me a few days later to ensure that I was satisfied. He answered any questions and provided some tips for keeping the floors beautiful for many years. I’m cautious about online reviews but I understand why Peach State Hardwood Floors gets such great reviews. They are truly worth 5 Stars.

James team is incredibly professional and talented. He had Murilo refinish our hardwoods - sand and stain. Our floors were in really rough shape - house was built in 1948 and there were burn marks around the fire place, chips and damaged pieces. The pieces too damaged to be repaired were replaced and the other areas youd never know were damaged after Murilo was done. He was always on time, worked hard and was very detailed with his work. My girlfriend said the floors look so nice that she doesnt want to put the rugs down anymore. Id highly recommend James/Murilo!

We knew we wanted a hardwood floor throughout our newly bought house, replacing the pet abused carpet from the previous owner. There was hard wood in portions of the downstairs. James and his crew matched the wood and integrated that new wood by meshing it into the existing floor. One cannot tell where the old starts and the new begins.It was accomplished according to his promises. We would recommend him highly. We decided to pull it all up and place down new hardwoods throughout the downstairs. We also had carpet on the stairs and redid those as hardwood. Everything looks great. He made sure we were happy throughout the entire process and worked with us on color choices, which was harder than we thought but he kept giving up options on different stains we could use. The floors are awesome. The team was polite and really did a great job of installing and staining the floors. They cleaned up after the job better than any contractor I have ever had in my house. Peach State Hardwoods did a great job for me. They replaced tile in my kitchen with a hardwood floor, refinished the hardwood floors on the main level and a landing on the second floor as well as the stairs leading to the landing. They also brought in another person to sand and restain the banister. I talked with 4 contractors. James was the only one to correctly address a squeaky floor in the foyer; the only one to blend in the new kitchen floor boards with existing hardwoods in a hall and family room; and the only one willing to deal with the banister. He was very responsive to my needs and went above and beyond to get things right. I was concerned about our 75lb. dog scratching the new finish but James recommended a product and applied it throughout. Two months later I’ve yet to see a scratch. Lastly we left on a trip while his crew did the work and we returned to find everything in order and accounted for. When the job was done James returned to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and quickly addressed one concern. I highly recommend James and Peach State Hardwoods.

Recent whole home floor refinish by Peach State done before we moved in earlier this month. Job took a week to complete - no one home during install and refinish so no rush to complete. First floor refinished oak, second floor refinish and oak hardwood install. Hardwood installation was excellent, but final finish quality with Bona Mega/Bona HD product is sub par. Two coats of Bona Mega and one coat of Bona HD and floor has rough spots all over, with grain rise everywhere. Peach State owner says this is normal finish quality with the Bona water-based product and what I was to expect. I have experience with two previous homes done with 2-3 coats of oil-based poly, and the water-based stuff doesnt even compare. Floors feel and look like they barely have any finish. (I watched the final coat go on, and it looks like water and drys in a couple hours.) Final result has rough feel, even in socks. Wife commented tonight that the satin finish looks matte and shed hate to see what the matte finish looks like. Im sure the roughness is part of the reason for the dullness. Parts of floor always looks dull and dirty. And dont believe the fast curing claims of the water-based poly. Bona takes 7 days to fully cure (read product literature) and the smell took almost two weeks to dissipate. The guys are great at flooring installation, but my advice is to stay away from the water-based Bona products - they will disappoint you.

We really couldnt be happier. James gave us the estimate and explained his detailed process to install additional oak flooring, and refinish the existing oak floors and stairs. Then his excellent crew led by Nathan completed the process exactly as explained. Our furniture was moved professionally, plastic was used to cover cabinets, doorways, large artwork, and some light fixtures. The job was completed to exceed our expectations, and then our home was professionally cleaned before the furniture was replaced. They also were able to eliminate many squeaks in our old floors, something that multiple other companies had not been able to do. From the initial quote through completing the job, it was a pleasant experience with professional people and quality.
