Ive done a couple of jobs for them. Ms. Sharon always tries her best to make sure everyone is employed with the job of their choice. Only downside is if you wear long nails/lashes and go to certain jobs they require you to take it off! So that was a personal issue for me. But overall...this company is great if youre looking for guaranteed employment!! Good luck!

Sharon, was super rude when I got my information wrong and called her to ask questions, she then terminated me because “she can do that”. I went from 13 dollars an hour to 10 in one week when I questioned their ability to supervise. They neither knew or cared about what I was paid and was threatened with my job. I dont know about the rest of the offices around the country but the Nashville office is without a doubt the least professional outfit Ive ever dealt with. The ladies I have talked with in Atlanta are at least trying to solve my issues. Id advise anyone in Nashville to look anywhere but there.

They put me work and have provided me with transportation to and from the job. I walk to there transportation ogfice to go to work and they drop me off at 5 points marta station after work.

My job coach name is Sasha I feel like she’s working there for more than a paycheck she literally wanna help people she had a talk with me an now I have added goals to my life and are Achieving them. Sirens also is a great job coach she also have went above an beyond when it comes to helping clients I hear nothing but good news.Mr.Mike and Eric are also great I see the Passion that they have for their jobs and helping others.I believe that First Step understated that every job is not for Everybody If u do not like a job or are uncomfortable for any reason they will assign you to another job easily. My job coach Sasha went on vacation my 3rd week there and the other staff there assign me to jobs without any attitude like I’m another person on there case load or having them do more or extra work it was at that moment I realize that they all have a strong Sense of Urgency an they all wanna help people. I stay telling people how great an professional First Step is an recommend them there if they wanna change there life around for the better. As a kid I stay telling myself if a place is not for me to Grow and Develop then it’s not the place for Mean with First Step I see an witness nothing but opportunity. My experience at First Staffing @ Suzannas Kitchen 1 the Duluth, Ga location was awesome. If you ever have a supervisor name Patricia Meraz, you would love her as much as I did. She was very well organized, she was patient with me and etc. You will grow beyond your goals and plus she will work with you. She understands the meaning of life outside of work. But please dont take her for guaranteed. I wish I can follow her to ever company she goes.

Majority of the employment counselor have a genuine interest in their employees but I’ve encountered subversive actions from others management which I prefer not to elaborate on. Awful! First shift is from 6 am to 6pm or 7pm. Very dishonest people. STAY AWAY.@Response How would he know what I was qualified to do? He never asked for my resume. He never asked about my experience. He assumed because I was Black or an immigrant I was low skilled. It is not okay to exploit people. It is not okay to lie to people. First shift is typically 9 hours, mandatory overtime is fine, but be honest with people, so that they can make informed decisions.

This is a very unprofessionally run organization. I applied for a position as Payroll Coordinator. I was not initially selected, but they contacted me about 6 weeks later, saying the position was still available. I came in, had another interview, did a drug screen and a background check. I called about a week later to get a status update, and they still have not returned my call. They have a great mission, but the office is not professional.

Referred a church member to there and she has a criminal background thats 15 years old and Anne treated like her a 2nd class citizen. She told her once a convict, always a convict. What? You treat people like that? Wow! My friend was told by the case manager Renonne, that she was just an educated convict. Its a miracle that one of these convicts dont react violently towards such belittling and rudeness. This place is government funded...guess Ill have to reach out to the Attorney General as to why...

They dont EVER pick up the phone when you call, they are all unprofessional with what they do, after awhile they dont pay you, Im still missing two paychecks. The only thing theyve told me was to wait a few hours then check back, but, I checked it every 3 - 4 hours and the balance NEVER changed, the same happened to a friend of mines and he got fired for cussing the job site out for them not paying him and he worked a solid 6 - days and didnt receive a paycheck . Im writing this review so whoever reads this doesnt miss a check because these people made me get evicted for not paying rent, now I had to down - grade places. dont waste your time and not get paid by this staffing agency.

They steal your money, worked there before and made like 300$ something for the whole month,The XPO logistics is the worst warehouse ever!! That I have to been in my life, it is straight up slave work, and they dont pay you for everyday that you go to work, Also they are unorganized...I would only use this place as a last resort, it deserves 1000000- and whoever is in charge of everything and stealing peoples money and slaving poor and homeless people deserve to burn in hell for an eternity.

So many things....first, they NEVER answer the phone, but randomly reach out to you via text messages. Very unprofessional and unorganized office. Second, they randomly pull you out of long term assignments and send you to another one. Thirdly, they supposedly put me down for an assignment and I went the very next morning and they said they didnt need me!! Wasted time and money. Do not recommend.

I was in need to a job had a great resume but, was getting it into the right hands for the consideration needed. I was living at the salvation army and wanted help getting to a better place. I went to first step and they offered me a job the same day.The Job Developer at that time Theron Allen Jr. seen the need and approved me for work. They even allowed me to work as a staff member of First Step as a( temp Admin Assistant). They have had me working every since I have NEVER been out of work.they will help you get out of your homelessness if you REALLY want to.I really would like to thank all of them for all they do to keep the homeless women and men in ATL that are wanting to get to a better place.And The founder Mr GREG BLOCK is also there so if you want to ask him question hes onsite you dont have to wonder who he is or what hes like to get you meet that man who started the plan.

They are lowballing on the pay rate 1st of all, while other companies are paying $10 & better, First Step is trying to hit you with the $8.75 an hour & thats working overnight!!! They are taking advantage of peoples situations & making a profit out of it!!! If youre looking for a job, try Shiftgig, Go2 Perimeter Staffing or LGC. These people helped me stay working when I 1st came to Atlanta & Im still working with them!!!

This place is horrible, the staff is unprofessional and irresponsible. I am truly sorry for those in need of the services they are supposed to provide. Its almost impossible to reach anyone during normal business hours and when you finally do they only give you the runaround. They lost my application, didnt process my first paycheck, and had either a complete lack of concern or no clue how to rectify the situation. I came to them desperate and simply wanting to work; consequently they did nothing but waste my time and lose important paperwork. First Step staffing completely misrepresented themselves at The Veterans Affairs Benefits Seminar. They claimed to be an employment agency that helps veterans however my experience with them was much more stressful than helpful.

I was just here a few hours ago & wasted my time someone suggested that I go here to find me a 2nd job quick. I get there first off it’s downtown no parking I paid $2 for parking. I get there & I see so many people rough looking people homeless, poor, ratchet, felony type looking people even the staff wasn’t that great. I walked in nobody greets you it’s like you’re invisible. I didn’t know orientation started at certain times so the guy said I had to wait another hour so I left because my parking cost was gonna go up. This is not a place for a professional if you don’t wanna work around felons & ratchet people do not come here. I don’t even know why the lady would even recommend me go here I’m not that desperate for a 2nd job even though the place she works at seems ok but still. You want to be hired at a place that does background checks & pays you. I was listening and a couple of people were up there because they didn’t get paid smh what a waste. Too many red flags I should have turned back around when I was about to pay for parking but didn’t wanna give up. Too many ratchet people & no time to wait when you’re paying for parking.

Literally.... how many Fridays do I have to text u guys to ask where my paychecks are???... why is it so hard for u guys to process the payroll every Friday? Also why is it that some paychecks come randomly during the week? So like sometimes I get paid on wednesdays, sometimes I actually get paid properly on Fridays. Other times I get it through the mail with no heads up? I set up a direct deposit with u guys so everything should be going through automatically, but I dont know whos in charge of organizing the payroll. Bunch of slackers I swear to god.... this is for the etiboke location in Ontario
