Cool place with high end makeup, costumes, wigs, shoes and more. No air conditioning, so be prepared to be warm. They let you try stuff on, and ask the staff was super nice. Id come back for the makeup and shoes alone.

The service was exceptional!! Staff was friendly and helpful but Scott went above and beyond. I was looking for a cop costume and the one I rented from them was authentic lol even on set some of the crew thought I was really law enforcement they even let me ship the items back long as I had my card on file because our movie was shot in Atlanta and Jacksonville. I’m looking forward to getting more acting gigs in Atl and I will be visiting them again soon. If I could I would give more stars!! Thank you Costumes Etc

This place is seriously amazing. I’m in con crunch before dragon con, and needed setting spray for my body paint. A SUPER helpful person (I didn’t get a name but short blonde hair, hat, gauges and blue eyeliner on their lower lash line) stood with me at the makeup counter and walked me through the process of applying my body paint and helpful sprays to help it stay as well as things I should do before I start the painting process. They answered all of my stupid questions and patiently waited as I pulled up an email for prescription info for some contacts I needed to buy as well. They also gave me tons of tips regarding those. Just a super helpful and friendly staff that made my heart full. I’ll be going back for anything costume moving forward! They are amazing!!

Best costume store in Atlanta. You can get some really good quality theatrical makeup, beautiful masks, Steam Punk clothing, huge wig selection, and you can rent costumes. Most costumes are exceptional quality. The staff is beyond incredible. They are extremely helpful and never pushy. We do a charity scavenger hunt every year where we have to do challenges to raise money. There are always costume/cosplay ones. They are always willing to not only let you stage your challenge (with proof of what you ate doing it for), but will participate in it. They are such good sports. Gish thanks you.

I have heard about (and even sent people to) Costumes Etc. before, but had never gone before today. I was MISSING OUT! They have ALL sorts of different costumes from medieval to superheroes to plague doctors. Being the off-Halloween season (and a pandemic), the foot traffic was light, which is great to take your time and piece together some great cosplay stuff!

Jay was very nice and gave me all the information about the stuff that I need. He helped me understand more about what I was buying. Great people amazing costumes and makeup.

Why are you open but the door is locked, but not allowing customers to browse? Define what opens mean? In the rain i came out to shop, not browse all to see a sign. Then you ask what am i looking for? All to be able to not to buy anything.

I purchased a mask from Costumes, etc. for myself during this crazy time. My customized order was taken and then shipped within 24 hours. I checked my mailbox and there it was! Perfect! Excellent quality with a stylish outer layer and soft flannel on the inside which felt so good against my face. It has a metal strip over my nose and the elastic was adjustable to provide a good fit. I am the envy of all the other shoppers at my local supermarket. Stylish and safe! The purchase also helps with providing masks to people on the frontline helping with the homeless situation in Atlanta. Be safe, be stylish, and help our frontline workers during this critical time with a mask from Costumes, etc....

Pointing out that “all sales are final” only after value has exchanged hands is legally unenforceable but definitely one way of letting all your patrons know they are assumed to be cons regardless.2. From a consumer point of view I have been robbed. All the goods purchased remain unused and still in their original packaging. No one gets this type of treatment in any store in 2019. The very friendly associate, Amy, immediately knew the perfect costume and helped me completely accessorize it!! It looks absolutely amazing!! I shop here all of the time. Love that theyre open year round, and they have any and everything you could possibly want when it comes to costumes, wardrobe choices, makeup, masks and even special effects. They also have costume rental for anyone looking for a good costume but not wanting to pay a whole lot of money to buy one. Great selection, gargantuan actually. So much to see and buy for costuming. The only downside was the staff following my wife, kids, and I like we were up to no good. That was a touch off-putting. Nice people, but please let me look around for a few minutes before jumping out and constantly asking what we need.

I absolutely LOVE Costumes Etc! They have everything you could ever need for putting together a costume, and if they dont have it, theyll try and get it for you. The thing that most impresses me about them is their impeccable customer service. Not only are they always there to assist you in finding what you need, but theyll help you figure out what it is youre looking for if youre not even sure how to pull off a costume. Numerous times in the past I have received excellent advice for which makeup to use for a costume, and even how to apply it. And the wig wall is to die for! They have just about any wig you could possibly need. The selection is expansive, the prices are reasonable, and the people are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We are truly fortunate to have such a wondrous place in Atlanta.

I really am uncomfortable with the purse hostage situation in this store. Ive only been here one other time, right before Dragon Con, and at the time I was looking for something very specific, so I really didnt browse. They asked me to leave my purse, which I was uncomfortable with, so I opted to lock it in my trunk instead since I knew I wouldnt be in long. That was annoying, but understandable considering they are much busier around that time of year, Im sure.However, I went today with the intention of taking my time and really browsing their store. Its wasnt particularly busy, and I was really caught off guard when they wanted to take my purse anyway. Why? I dont understand this policy. The front sign says no bags but I assumed that pertains to back packs/larger bags that you can fill. If I wanted to steal, I could just as easily fit the items in my pocket as my purse.I was so distracted for my short stay (I wonder what happens if I lose this key? Was I targeted? Did I forget anything in my purse? My shoulder is so light... This is really weird!), I couldnt even browse like I wanted to. After about 5 minutes, I just gave up and left, disappointed. What a wasted trip.I dont like being forced to give up my personal items, its a very strange policy.

I have relied on Costumes, etc. to support a variety of events with my church, childrens school, business, community activities and my family for several years. They have supported me with rental and purchased costumes and a host of related products. It is great to work with people who enjoy their work, take it seriously and approach it with pride. The staff is always friendly and courteous and I find them to be extremely helpful. They often fill in the blanks to help round out my ideas and frequently offer a better solution or strategy. I cannot think of a single time when they did not come up with the answer or option I needed. Simply put, the team at Costumes, etc. are consummate professionals who follow a craftsmans like approach. I cannot imagine there is a better option for meeting your costume needs in Atlanta than this fine store.

This place was great, huge selection, with an acceptable selection of stuff for larger people, 65 315lbs, and I had choices, staff was helpful and knowledgeable about what they had. Good selection of nice corsets, Victorian, and 20s, as well sa the rest of the genres. We visited a couple of other place afterCostumes etc. And returned to buy our costumes, and accessories.

This place is amazing! You can find any costume or parts & pieces to put a themed outfit together. I needed a chef costume for a school project/ presentation for my 10 year old daughter, which I found some online but wanted her to try it on. I called ahead to ask if they had it, they confirmed that they did and they had it ready and waiting when we arrived. The in store price was comparable to the prices online.

Everyone in the store was friendly and offered helpful service and advice! They dont regularly carry childrens costumes in store, which I was partially looking for, but I was told that they carry plenty online. I did find some childrens accessories, though. Ill be visiting again in the future.

As part of the Cricket Wireless video team, we need a lot of costumes and props. For the nearly 4 years weve gone to Costumes, etc. with crazy requests, they have never let us down!! Oh wait, they were out of an oversized brain one time.😁

Ive been here many times for several years and have spent hundreds of dollars on their over-priced materials. I was extremely appalled that one of the customer service wouldnt sell me a pair of contact lenses because the lenses didnt fit my eye not because I didnt have my prescription. He made the unanimous decision upon himself to refuse to sell them to me.If thats the case then why are you even selling them? I couldve saved my time, and gas, and went to my doctor for all of that.Needless to say they have lost a very loyal customer that is passionate about Halloween due to their poor customer service.

Had the best costumer service here. Everyone was super friendly and very helpful as well as knowledgeable about all the pieces and costumes in the shop. I was helped into a steampunk corset, instantly fell in love with the piece. They were so helpful in getting me into the corset as well as tips and what to look for when I bought it home. Even recommended different styles and other pieces of clothing that would go great with it outside of a costume context. Overall the corset was sturdy and very well made. Ill definitely be back here in the future.

I was refereed there by another local costume shop that did not have what I was looking for. The most helpful staff, knowledgeable, and friendly. If they dont have it they will give advice on where to get it or how to make it. Big pieces, small pieces, or something different. I recommend this place to everyone I know. Whether youre going full cosplay, or a simple Halloween party, stop here first!!

They have A LOT of options as far as costumes go. Which is great. There was one nice guy helping people find things but, the other workers were rude and short. I won’t be going back or recommending and some prices are pretty high

The staff was very pleasant and knowlegeble of their inventory. The gentleman gave me a better suggestion for my theme Party The Princess and Prince Charming costumes . The party was for my 5 year old granddaughter, and it was AWESOME!!!!!

I went in to find some foundation to help even out my complexion in photos. Jay helped me out immediately and offered SO much good advice, helped me find just the right shade to achieve what I needed and was just wonderful the whole time. Better than any help Ive been given at Sephora or Ulta! He even let me know to call ahead when Im running low and theyll make sure they have my shade in stock since I bought the last one today.

Had a nice selection considering it’s two days before Halloween the staff was helpful but rude with sarcastic remarks. What I mean by “helpful but rude” They answered our questions but In such a manner that they cane off as belittling. Next time we will just order our costumes elsewhere.

Hey so I was unsure about my costume idea and I did receive help from Todd. I do feel like your own desires are somewhat masked by the stylists own personal wishes and the obvious intent to make sales. I do wish i was informed of the return policy at the check out, to ensure that I would have store credit If I was not confident in my costume.

Fantastic place. They both rent and sell costumes and go far beyond the cheap packaged stuff from the internet, although they have that too. You can mix and match, although admittedly it can get expensive. My partner and I probably average about $125 each per year over the two years weve been going here. The best part of the visit is the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Possibly the best customer service weve found in Atlanta. One piece of advice. Plan ahead and Avoid the weekend before Halloween unless you like crowds

It was super efficient, and the guy working at the stand was so polite and genuinely interested in helping us get what we needed.
