I have been going to this barber for over a year and half. I made an appointment recently for 5:30 P and was all of 6 minutes late. When I arrived the doors were locked and no one was there although Google shows them to be open until 6 PM. I was charged $20 for being a no call no show. I called to dispute the charge and emailed the confirmation link asking to speak with the owner to discuss and at the very least be able to be explained why after being a loyal customer that I would be treated this way. I was assured when I called and spoke to a team member yesterday that I would hear back by end of day. That didnt happen. Thanks for ripping me off.

Been getting my haircut here faithfully for almost 3 years. They just implemented making you put your credit card info in to book and appointment. I totally spaced and booked the wrong day and was considered a no show and was charged $20 for not showing. Called and they said sorry not sorry. Welp that was my last time I will ever schedule an appointment here. I would have gladly tipped to compensate for me making a mistake and booking the wrong day. Instead of doing this to loyal customers how about taking a walk in when your appointment is late. Instead you charge your loyal customers $20 and you haven’t done anything. Hate having to find a new barber but is what it is.

Zacs the man, Ive gone almost exclusively to him for 2-3 years for my usual fade and its the best Ive gotten anywhere. Prices have moved up a bit recently for the skin fade but the high quality is still there every time.

Really relaxed place for a quick and quality haircut. I booked with Jonathan the first time I went and liked the results so have continued going back to him. Great location on the beltline and still has pretty good prices.

Freedom Barber Co. is a great barbershop. Their staff is very friendly and they do a great job of listening to how you like your hair to be cut. I am new to the area so I was unsure exactly as to where they were located, when I called the shop they were extremely friendly and helpful. Their prices are great for what you get and I would recommend everybody to go here.

Great location and great value! I was late to my appointment and Michael still fit me in. I offered to remove the beard trim from my service, so I wouldnt take time from the next client. Michael agreed and then was able to offer the beard trim after the haircut since the next client hadnt arrived yet. Im not saying its okay to be late, but I thought Michael handled a situational issue in my favor. I was grateful for that. I highly recommend this barber shop.

I tried half a dozen barbershops in Atlanta before finding Freedom and don’t have to search any more. Michael gave me the best but I’ve had in three years. Shop is cool and the guys who work there are solid. Good chatter and environment. You won’t like it if you’re a wet noodle.

My guy Zac gives the best haircuts that Ive ever gotten. Ive been going here for over a year and he kills it every time. These barbers have zero filter in their conversations and its hilarious.

I went into the shop with high expectations and wanted to get specific style of a fade. I showed the barber a picture of what I wanted and he went and cut something else completely. To top it off the backside of the fade does not look good. Will not come back. I give them 2 stars only because the environment was nice.

Very good men’s barber shop. I have been a customer since it opened. They have done a great job of bringing in quality barbers to grow the business, while at the same time keeping they laid back vibe. Highly recommend if you are in need of a cut, trim or shave.

First I was unacknowledged upon entering, only stares. Then I was ignored.Edit: I understand your attempt at damage control. Answer this though: why did no one greet me? Why was a woman who walked in just before me, spoken to and made an appointment on the spot? If you are using Covid as an excuse, why was a man dressed in medical scrubs, who was maskless, greeted with, hey brother!, and taken care of? If you can make any of that make sense ill send the cost of a haircut to your business.

Have been bringing my husband here for past four years. The best haircut you can get in Atlanta little pricey, and you must have an appointment and be on time.

Terribly rude to my boyfriend when he was running late to his appointment. Told him to “not bother showing up”. I get it if that creates scheduling conflicts for their day, but y’all just can’t treat your existing, repeat customers like that.

I’ve been here 4 times now and every time the staff has been awesome, the space is very clean for a barber shop, and the quality of the haircut is solid. Prices are a bit steep but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a new barbershop that’s not overcrowded. Make sure to book an appointment online ahead of time!

Ive been getting my hair cut at Freedom by Dan for the past year and a half and have nothing but good things to say about the place. Theyve got a room full of talented barbers, great smelling hair products, and sweet music. Im happy I found this place and am very gracious for their help in keeping my hair looking fresh.

Ive gone here 6 times and have had great experiences each time. The internet booking makes things a breeze and minimizes wait times. Prices are reasonable. Would recommend Ricky and JR, but rest of staff seems great as well. Ill keep going back as long as Im living in the area.

These guys are not only top notch skilled barbers, but theyre some great people as well .Ive been getting haircuts with Cam for some 4+ tears and if youre looking for the freshest fade in the city, you need to see Cam. Ive seen several different barbers because Im awful and always wait until I cant stand it to go and get my hair cut and book things last minute (thanks for the online appointments, with the ability to either select a specific guy or just the next available person) but I saw Jonathan Armistead the last two times, and hes not only amazing but also super fast.

Love stopping by the shop. Super laid back and great location. I love that it is inside Paris on Ponce making it like a hidden gem. I always see Cam he is excellent. He is the only person who has cut my hair for the past 2 years and knows how to really get your hair as you wish to see it. Everyone at the shop is friendly and always tries to make sure you feel comfortable while there. Cool guys doing what they enjoy. I always leave very happy and continue to recommend this place.

Retired military. I’ve literally haven’t had anything but a shaved head since 2003. After seeing the work Michael did on one of my buddies, I decided to give him a shot. Great place. Top shelf talent. Very reasonable prices. Definitely worth the trip. Give ‘em a try. 5 stars!

The consistency of their work is impressive every time. Michael and his team are always welcoming, the shop is always pristine, and the level of skill is outstanding. I am not one to write a review, but when credit needs to be provided when necessary. I used to visit the shop where the owner and some of the staff came from. I left that particular shop, not because of the staff but because of the management. You could really see how it was affecting the creativity and the service the staff could provide. Today I visited Michaels shop, though I have been following it since it opened a year and half ago due to its location, history, and his craft ( he is a master at what he does). It was the best choice I made today, it true pleasure. From the shop design, lighting, to the best customer service. I been going to barber shops since I could remember, and its a place to feel open chat, get a haircut, and feel great after. This is what I experienced today, all in a. true city setting that is not trying to be more that what it is. Thank you, this kind of experience should exist more in this city, as being cool or trendy can be confused with being a complete waste of time to a consumer. Once again, I highly recommend this shop, and their barbers. Also, go with a little time and walk around Paris on Ponce or stroll the BL. Cheers

This is one of my favorite barber shops. It doesnt matter who cuts your hair, because all of their talent is phenomenal. They have a warm, home like vibe, and I am always offered a beer when I walk in. They are in an awesome location right on the belt line, unfortunately for me I live in Kennesaw so it is a bit of a drive. But I always go here anytime I need a cut and am in the area, Freedom is the shop I trusted to cut my hair before my wedding, and it turned out great.

My experience at Freedom was probably one of the most uncomfortable haircuts Ive suffered through. Upon sitting down with Chuck I was promptly instructed on my mistake of booking two haircuts followed by how grateful I should be, he caught that mistake because then the barber shop would have to charge me double the original price. After which Chuck proceeded to look at a coworker and say Hey, remember that guy I told about about while gesturing towards me. The customer service I experienced upon my visit was second to none the worst I have ever had. For almost 40 dollars per haircut I would expect to not sit and listen to profanity laden speech amongst the other barbers in the shop along with judgements on how hood barbering colleges are within Atlanta. It would have been much appreciated to be treated as an actual customer and not a burden. I will sadly not be coming back to your establishment.

Love this new barber shop. For almost a year now, I have been a client of a well known shop just around the corner but honestly I have never enjoyed the attitude or atmosphere of the place. Once I found out my old barber switched locations, it was an easy decision. Freedom is hands down a solid choice. My haircut needs only consist of a good beard trim and they do an amazing job. Their prices are great and I trust any of the guys on staff. Always have a great experience while Im there. A plus is that they are located in a shopping area that my wife loves.

Right on the beltline! Their barbers definitely have a high level of skill and experience. Id say they contend for one of my top 3 haircuts of my entire life. If you wanna talk to your barber, theyre gonna talk to you. If youre not gonna talk to em, theyll just do a heck of a job. They shampoo if you want. Theyll use a straight razor on your neck if youre getting a fade, WAY better to keep the skin from breaking out as opposed to a BIC. Theyve also got a pretty good selection of hair products to take home.

The guys here are experts in their craft who offer competitive prices. All in all, the barbers at freedom are just stand up dudes. They’ve officially ruined other barbershops for me. Ask for Dan.

Admittedly I was late because I thought the salon was in the market not nearby on the beltline. Having said that I could tell it made my barber upset and cut my hair without say a word to me and I left looking worse than when I came in. Its messed up that he was willing to compromise his services for whatever reason. I did go back and have it fixed which saved it from a 1 star. But still upset that he was willing to let me leave looking like a messEdit:I did not get a thorough consultation I tell the same thing that I always do. Keep some of the length but thin out the volume. Not nothing off the top I didnt have time to protest because he kicked me out of the chair. Sorry I took so long to post about my bad experience. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Theyll give you a terrible haircut, then slander you then blame you for getting a bad haircut.

This was one of the worst haircuts I have gotten in my life. I told the barber exactly what I wanted done and he apparently did not listen whatsoever. He proceeded to turn me facing away from the mirror and completely disregard everything I had asked of him. I sincerely regret walking into this shop.

Plus they clean up your ears and sideburns between cuts for free...definitely a plus. A relaxed, simple, and authentic experience provided by good people.

Pros: The guys at this place are talent and know how to cut a hair and trim beards. The price is acceptable for the location and the accessibility for open schedule time. Facility extremely clean and confortable.Negative: There is a lack of professionalism when comes to behavior around clients. Sometimes the music is loud and the guys play among themselves in a distracting way and sometimes offensive to costumers ears.Also I notice that there isnt often a cordiality with the client, which often will be ignored there professional will not talk to them during hair cut process and they will be talking among themselves. I often dont mind the silence, but there is a difference between respecting the clienta choice of silence and ignoring a client.

Been coming to Freedom Barber for several years. Best barbers in ATL and a very laid back atmosphere at the shop.

Never got to the haircut part but everything before was subpar. I was the first on the walk-in wait sheet and was told to stick around the area, something would open up in an hour. Im summoned an hour later reach the front door within 2 minutes, and they literally skipped me and put a name above mine on the list. So I wait for 20 more minutes watching a later walk in get a haircut instead. Why have a walk in wait list? Thats just bad business,folks.

5-star haircuts. I was worried I wasnt going to find a barber I liked when I moved to Atlanta. Thankfully I ran into Freedom Barber when I was walking on the beltline. Ive had already had three haircuts at Freedom and Im planning on getting more.

I wouldn’t recommend this barber shop because they were really rushed which is never a good feeling when you care about what your hair looks like. I had never been to the shop before and had trouble figuring out how to get in (especially because I went in the morning and the main entrance had a closed sign on it). When I finally got in a 10:08 they informed me they have a “7 minute late policy” and they tried to cancel my haircut... then he was like “it’s fine but we need to do it fast.” So anyway, the guy was nice and it was a rough start but honestly when I got home I found several spots I thought looked uneven and choppy, so I ended up having to trim it up at home which is never what you want when you spend $40.

Freedom Barber Co. is the best barber shop in Atlanta and I have been to several over the past few years trying to find the right shop. One measure of a great barber is the ability to trim a beard without butchering it. Cam Lukes is my regular barber there and he does a fantastic job. Their new location is on the Beltline across from Bell Street Burritos and that makes it super convenient for anybody that lives anywhere near Inman Park, Krog, Highlands, or Cabbagetown. 5 stars. Second time, I made an appointment online, showed up 8min late because I had trouble finding the new place only to find the place locked and closed. Well within business hours. Unfortunately will not be returning here again. First visit was fantastic -- though it was challenging to find their new location for people not native to the area. On our appointment today, after struggling through traffic from OTP, we found they werent in the same location.All of this wouldve been solved with clearer communication. This is a complaint of an earlier reviewer too. Updated google maps or even the directory being updated would have been nice.I called, received instructions and it wasnt clear to me that they indicated they were in a SEPARATE part of Studioplex. So were walking around, really trying to find this place (Im 10m passed my appointment time at this point, which Im not happy about.). Whoever picked up the phone did note that this is a common issue for them right now.I get a call from Dan after we cant find the place, who cancels my appointment -- as were literally standing in the parking lot. He does mention a missed appointment and how hell upcharge for that, which is absolutely fine. Its a business, I understand that portion of it. But we literally drove an hour to come back here. Only to not have any clear indication where things were changed and that their new location was literally separate from the Studioplex location. We even asked the valet who was in attendance and he had no earthly idea.Oh, I had to pay the $4 for leaving the area too. It was a nice way to end that adventure.It was fairly upsetting since I really enjoyed my haircut and the place. But this really tanked my afternoon.I wont be coming back. This isnt a reflection on the quality of their haircuts, but on a really unpleasant and unfortunate interaction. Please update your directions.
