My first time experience was great until the end of my beard trim when I realized that my barber, Ellis Richardson had left me with two bald spots on the neck of my beard. It looked as if the guard came off when he was trimming. When I asked him about it he said that those were the natural bald spots that I had, which is a complete lie because I didn’t walk into the shop with those bald spots. Ellis cared nothing about owning up to his mistake and took no ownership of his screw up. Eclectic Barbershop also makes you pay upfront so good luck to anyone who tries to get their money back because they already got paid. This was my first and last time here

I have been coming to this barbershop for the last few years and there is a reason I have not gone anywhere else. The owner Kevin is exceptional and also makes my experience a personalized one every time I walk in the door. I am always offered complimentary refreshments and treated like royalty. I personally have had my haircut by multiple barbers such as Kevin, Mike, Jasmine, Kayla and Eric. The experience with each barber has been 5 star and what I appreciate the most is the consistency across the board. I receive fresh towels, conditioning, razor finishes and great cut every single time. As a manager of a local apartment community I understand the difficulty in maintaining the standard of excellence with all employees so it means a lot. This one of the big reasons I have no issue paying for the service at the value it is because I am getting my money worth and then some. Earlier today I had a wedding to go to and forgot to book ahead time and the owner Kevin made adjustments he did not have to and cut my hair personally. If you are looking for your new barbershop home, look no further.

$150 SCAM. Avoid this place unless you want to be ripped off, lied to and treated like s**t.I arrived at this place at 11:50. 40 minutes early for a 12:30 reservation with ANY barber. I was doing the most expensive service they had, facial shampoo, and haircut. The service is listed as taking 1 hour and 1/2 to complete. I know this because it’s listed right next to the price alongside all the ‘steps’ to $150 perfection. Great, I think, I should be out by 2.When I walk in I was told that there was someone ahead of me and to wait. I didn’t have an issue with that, I was the one early. However, the lady at the front wasn’t pleasant, she seemed annoyed someone would dare to be early. Also: WHAT DOES RESERVATION mean!? Surely it means I paid for service at a certain time.I come back at the right time and am still left waiting. No one tells me why. Several people come and go, including walk-ins. While they get served, I wait for an ADDITIONAL 30 minutes. With 10;minutes to transition with his customer, I’m not sat until 2:40. 40 minutes late when I was 40;minutes early!!!!!!I’m not in the barber’s chair until 1pm, pushing back the expected completion time to 2:30. The barber rushes through a haircut in like 15 minutes and tells me he’ll finish up after the shampoo and facial.Make sense, I think. Boy was I wrong. The rude lady from the front desk comes over and precedes to ‘play’ with my face. It doesn’t feel good, and it’s clear she’s overwhelmed. First she says she can’t use the steam machine because it’s broken. Then she spends 15 minutes looking for supplies. She asks other people, slams cabinets, answers the phone or runs to the front to do other stuff. Meanwhile I’m laying there with an half finished, sub-par facial. She realizes she just left me and asks another hair lady to finish my shampoo. The new lady tries but can’t really shampoo me as she has 6” talon finger nails (aka pterodactyl talons). The first lady spends another 10 minutes running around asking for basic supplies that she never finds - which means she’s not using the right stuff on me. Finally, she comes over and continues to ‘play’. The facial lasts maybe 10-15 minutes but on no country on this planet is it worth $150 dollarsWhen she’s done splash splashing around she sends me back to barber but at the same time tells him it’s already 2:01 and his next appointment is here. I guess they think I can’t hear them. The barber then proceeds to rush through a straight razor shave (his razor never touched my face) and shape up.How on earth did they get me out of his chair at 2:15? The only explanation is that they don’t sell the time, attention, or attention to comfort and detail that they advertise and charge for. They scam well paying customers to get in their friends and walkins. No one apologized or ever acknowledged their mistakes.Screw this place. Do not come here.Maybe its better for $30 cuts, but they don’t have the customer service, attention to detail, or hospitality experience to charge $150 for anything

Here visiting Atlanta with Hamilton, was hoping for at a minimum punctuality considering you have to make appointments and hospitality and sadly for none.Whoever works the register doesnt wanna work there. She barely looked at me in the face, mumbled, and had an overall energy that she wouldve rather been somewhere else.And then sadly, I waited 30 minutes past my appt for my cut - no one came to say hey we are behind, etc etc instead the opposite. Shop talk as if there isnt someone waiting.I normally wouldnt post a review like this, but Im doing it because Im a visitor to the city, this couldve been a word of mouth rec for my cast and crew.

It may seem a little pricey ($45 for a haircut and beard shape up), but it’s totally worth it. They spend almost an hour on my fade and beard. The barbers are respectful and will also perform extra services like cleaning up your eyebrows, and your bottom neck. Every person I’ve seen in this place leaves with a fire cut- regardless of the barber. The owner is super friendly too

I needed a haircut for an important meeting and was in search of a good barbershop. I ran across eclectic on google and after reading the reviews decided to give them a try. Bren was very professional and courteous and gave great conversation as well. He had no problem touching any minor details I may have had and really took his time. I was very pleased with the overall result and will definitely be returning again.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would.Here’s some back ground: I was told to go to this shop by a friend who gets cut by Randy King. I went to Randy’s Instagram page and clicked the link in the description to book with him. It said the cost was $50. When I arrived to my appointment, there was someone already in the chair. Randy asked me how I found their shop, and I said I found it online. Randy said that his personal prices were higher than the $50 I paid, and if I wanted to get a cut by him, I’d have to pay $75, or alternatively, get cut by one of the lower level barbers, for $50.One barber who was available said he could cut me, “so I didn’t have to wait on Randy”, and I figured I’d give him a shot considering I already paid $50 because I was told I HAD to pay beforehand by the lady at the front desk. The haircut was the WORST haircut I’ve ever received in my 21 years of life.In addition to the horrific haircut, the customer service was equally terrible. Randy said that it was a mistake on the site and that they needed to change the website so that wouldn’t happen, but if that was truly the case, why would I, as a first time customer, have to suffer the consequences from your businesses indecency, inadequacy, and lack of organization?If you are presumed to be a “nobody”, or just a regular person without clout or connections, expect to be treated like a 5 day old McDonalds sandwich left out on somebody’s kitchen counter. I will not be returning, ever again, I promise that.

Barber at least 25 minutes with no prior appointments: Had an appointment for 8am this morning, with a confirmed texted reminder. I got there at 7:55 and waited until 8:25 but the doors were still locked and the lights were off.

I get skin fades with Mike, I must say coming from you New York he is by far the best barber in Atlanta. Anyone who comes here and needs a haircut I highly recommend him, he takes his time and is precise, never has my haircut been less than perfect.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this experience irked me. I had a 6:00 pm appointment and showed up on time (a second person showed up at the same time, was greeted and went back into the room). There is a hallway right outside of the room where the barbers are located.I proceeded to wait the next 20 minutes in the hallway/doorway waiting for the two customers without masks to be finished. I was wearing one, as were the barbers, but the room is small (from what I could tell) for five people not all wearing masks socially distant.One customer finished about 10 minutes in, instead of the barber asking me if he could assist he proceeded to sit in his chair and stare at his phone. My mistake here was not just barging in and interrupting the situation (one of the barbers had headphones on) I gave him the benefit of the doubt making eye contact for the next ten minutes without acknowledgement. At that point, I walked out after 20 minutes of waiting and I was annoyed.Fast forward to around 7:00 pm and I receive a phone call from a Sarasota, FL number asking why I did not show for my appointment. :::put yourself in my shoes and imagine how you would feel:::I explained what happened and the response was “well, if you would have just come into the room, we were there.” I asked them to look towards a strategy other than blaming the customer for their lack of attentiveness, while attempting to remain polite and professional. The gentleman on the phone was argumentative but eventually let up.Never once did I receive an apology, even though I apologized for misunderstanding. I was after all a first time customer so was unfamiliar with the place and that was a contributing factor. This also would have been my first “non-self” Covid haircut.I hope the owner reads this, takes it seriously, and makes changes (even minor ones) to the process. It sounds like a good company with good reviews, but even good companies can disappoint customers.

Uneven haircutCame here after lots of reviews. The experience was nice, the owner was kind, so im giving it 2 stars for kindness. But over all hair cut fade for left and right did not match, and are uneven. When i was done, i went to use restroom and my face had Lots of hair pieces on my face still. And cant believe they let me leave, or spoke to me while i had little hair pieces all over my face.

I just moved to ATL about 4 months ago, and have been searching for a good barber since then. You can’t just have anybody cuttin’ your hair! I was stopped on the street by the owner who was very friendly, gave me a cute discount (we LOVE that), a nice cold beverage, and was taken care of by Eric. I learned so much about him and his journey to becoming a barber & it’s not everyday you get to communicate with someone like that, especially if you don’t know them. I 10/10 recommend checking this place out**BROWNIE POINTS IF YOU GET A CUT BY ERIC**but honestly, I’m sure everyone is phenomenal :)

I had a really disappointing hair cut here. Stray hairs sticking out all over the place, really unclean sides, any style that was there was all cut out. Three stars for nice service and a nice clean studio, but for $45 it was one of the worst hair cuts I’ve had in a long time.

It was okay at best, the place was crammed and definitely not 6ft between chairs. I’ve been to barbers that have that system in place and it feels safe. They did offer me a beer so that was good. The quality of beard trim was okay at best. Lines are slightly uneven, neck hair weren’t trimmed completely. My eyes and lungs are burning cause the guy sprayed after shave in my face. The barber ought to be more gentle with the blade man. He was swinging it too casually. Overall okayish place, I won’t repeat.

Since Ive moved Ive struggled to find a barber that can actually do a proper fade. This is the cleanest fade Ive ever gotten. Marco was on time, professional, offered a beverage, played the music I wanted and took his time to give me the best cut Ive gotten. Highly recommend!

I went to Eclectic based off of the positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience was not the same. I asked the barber, Zola, for a scissor cut with the sideburns halfway up the ear. She gave the entire haircut with my back to the mirror, so no way to see how things were progressing.30 minutes later when she showed me the finished product, my sideburns we cut all the way to the top of my ear. The sides were also not even. She completely disregarded the one preference I was asked about.When it was done she said it would be $5 more than the listed price because it was a scissor cut. I dont mind paying $35 for a haircut, but for that price I expect it to be a decent one.On a side note, it seems a little suspicious that the most reviewed barber shop in Atlanta was completely empty at their peak time (according to google). I had called 3 other barber shops who were booked for the rest of the day, but was able to get right in here. I guess that was a sign. At least hair grows...

Unbelievable barbers here. Everyone on staff can cut your hair no matter the type of hair you got. The owner is incredibly respectful and a good dude.I also feel very safe during the COVID pandemic

Update. I went to my second barber appointment on 7/13/17 with Zola and I received a complete hatchet job. My cousin says it almost looks as though it were done on purpose which is confusing because I thought Zola & I were bonding and getting along, I even shared podcasts I enjoyed with her.Anyway my hair line was cut way too high and I wasnt even upset about that part because my hair grows fast.However on Saturday 7/15/17 a random barber on the street saw the back of my head and offered to help me out. Needless to say I was embarrassed and self conscious so as soon as I got home I took pictures of the back of my head and was mortified. I realized my hair was not faded up well and very uneven. I even have has spots in head where she balded it instead of fading.I now have to wear my hair slicked down with gel and have to let my hair grow out a few months before I can contact another barber to fix this. This is completely upsetting especially since I had finally gotten my hair to the length I wanted it to be.Anyway, another one of my cousins has successfully gotten his hair cut for the past 5 years with Marvin at Eclectic so this review is nothing against him.

She was great at communicating with what type of hair style the bride wanted and she felt so special on her wedding day! My son needed a whole new look from his Wisconsin hockey flow to a fade for Florida and JAY knocked it out of the park! To make a long story short, my barber back home had no appointment, and I was in need of a haircut. Thank god we’re wearing masks everywhere because this barber shop has ruined my beard. I came here after a friend recommended it and when I arrived I showed a photo of myself of what I wanted my beard and hair to look like. They did a decent job on the haircut (though they took more of the front than I asked for) but with the beard i went from a full normal beard to having it sculpted down into a chin strap and now I look like I belong on the jersey shore. I will not be returning and do not recommend. Very disappointed and upset.

I go out of my way to get my haircut here. They have always given me a haircut that looks great. Both times their shop has been clean and accomidating and I would recommend that my friends go here.

Been getting my haircut here for 6-8 months consistently. This was the 4th time my barber cancelled within 24 hours. Had I not been proactive and emailed (couldn’t call as phone # is disconnected) I would have shown up and wasted my time. If you have a 24 hour cancellation rule for customers you need to reinforce this with your team. Our time is important. Marco cut well but I waited on average 35-45 minutes before every cut. Perhaps you need to adjust your appointment settings and dedicate someone to informing customers when their barbers no show.

Excellent experience. I have had the pleasure of receiving a haircut from four different barbers; Mike, Marco, Kevin, and Jasmine. Every time I come in I am greeted with a choice of a refreshing beverage and a friendly smile. Most importantly the barbers are all talented. My go to barber is Jasmine she has my cut memorized perfectly. If you’re in the midtown area this is the go to spot! Prices are great and it’s easy to book online. A little late with the review, but I got a haircut from Marco and he did a really great job! My hair is thin and most barbers I have been to haven’t been able to take care of me as I would have liked. Marco have some recommendations and opinions on what he thinks would work for me and I ended up very happy with the end results. This is the only barbershop I will be coming to for now on. I was recently in Atlanta on a layover, and I desperately needed a haircut before a transcontinental flight. Eclectic Barbershop was relatively close to our midtown hotel, and I am so pleased I chose to go here! I easily scheduled an appointment online with little notice, and they were great. The cut was great, and I was more than satisfied with it! I cannot recommend this place enough!!

This barbershop literally hooked me up! The way you set an appointment online is convenient instead of calling and wondering if there is any available spots to get a haircut. When I got there they offered me a drink. When I was getting my hair cut Marco Ortiz (Barber) did a great job in detail asking me how I wanted my haircut and he did exactly how I wanted it and it came out great! So great that I got good comments as soon as I got out of the barbershop! Left happy and satisfied!

I needed a haircut pretty bad a for a wedding I was going to but didnt have an appointment. They were able to get me in right away and couldnt have been nicer about it. The lady that cut my hair did an excellent job and was very thorough. Probably the best haircut Ive ever had. I dont live in the area but if I did, this would be my regular haircut place.

Overall good experience, the haircut was good and the barber was professional. However, the reason I didnt give 5 stars was the place was little bit unkempt and I had to wait 15 minutes even after I arrived on time for my appointment. I had my messenger bag by the chair and when I picked it up it was dirty and hair was all over it.

When I told Kevin I didnt really know what to go with, he took over and started cutting. The result is excellent and Ill definitely be back.

I got a cut by the master barber charged me $45 and did a completely horrible job and was really disrespectful kept on walking away and taking to other people ignored what I told him about my hair and my haircut was uneven and I was done in 15 minutes with an embarrassing haircut.I would never ever recommend anyone.

The space is modern and in a very good part of midtown. When I walked in the owner Kevin welcomed me and immediately directed me to a fridge with refreshments! This place was amazing! I never like when my boyfriend gets his hair cut bc it’s always too short and they never listen to what he asks but here they did exactly what he asked. Definitely coming back.

Good cut and nice people that work here. I travel in from Charlotte, stay at the Marriott and come here periodically. Come here mas they’ll take care of you. I’ve seen a good mix of hair styles - long and short - coming out of here. Probably make an appointment. I’ve been able to walk in though.

Just moved to Atlanta and was looking for a good barber. Everyone here went above and beyond for me. Mike is the man! This guy takes his time. If you’re looking for a good shop, THIS is the place to be. Great price, amazing quality.

Ive gone to Eclectic Barbershop since I moved to Atlanta a few years ago. Jae is a cool guy: easy to reach and gives great quality haircuts/lineups. The price and location is also great for the area. Definitely worth a visit.

Marco never disappoints. I have been coming back for quite a few months, my hair is thick and normally doesn’t come out as I expect it from other barbers but Marco does a great job every time.

This barbershop has such a professional staff and great atmosphere. I highly recommend this shop to anybody in the Atlanta area. They have the best barbers I’ve seen in the Atlanta area and worth the price.

This is the BEST! place to get a nice haircut. They can accommodate males and females. I always get exactly what i need done.... They treat you like family. Nice atmosphere.

My beard is always on point because of the magic these guys perform. NO ONE ELSE IS ALLOWED TO SHAPE & TRIM MY BEARD from now on. Seriously, they do great work and have brought back quality work and personal relationship to the barbers chair.This is not a quick drop in / out situation. They really take great care and time making sure you have exactly what you want and look great in the end.

I went from hair past my shoulders to a clean fade, not to mention shaving a whole beard off. Kevin is THE man to see if you want the cleanest haircut in Atlanta. Normally, I fret over getting my hair cut, but after reading other reviews, I was excited to give Eclectic Barbershop a try. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed and put at ease. Even though I hadnt had a haircut in several months and had very little information to give my barber some direction, Zola took a quick look and immediately got to work. 30 minutes later, I had a great haircut that captured my style perfectly. Im now looking forward to my next haircut.

These guys are about as good as they get. Your internet research has probably led you to this review. They have the amount of stars for a reason. I came in with very long hair, and they turned me back into a gentlemen. I would fly back in just to get a haircut. Place is legit.
