I moved to midtown and tried numerous places trying to find a good barber at a decent price. These guys to a great job, they’re pleasant and it’s not a bad price at all. Highly recommended.

Came in (7th time for a cut) this evening 30 minutes before they closed and SAM made time for me - TOP MAN - and provided the best cut I have had! Great service all around!

I live pretty close so decided to give it a try. Robert cut my hair just like I wanted. We also talked music, he liked my Elvis impression, and then put some Elvis music on! Elvis Lives and will be back in the building for another haircut!

My experience here has always been absolutely phenomenal. Most stylist take 45 min - 1 hr to get my hair right. Mack takes 15 min and does it better than anyone else has! How he does it amazes me. You won’t be disappointed if you go with Mack!!

All of the barbers in the shop were vaccinated. This was important to me, and I had to call many shops before I found one where all of the staff were vaccinated. Service was great.

I dont usually write reviews but I had to speak up on this. Robert gave me the best cut and conversation I could have had in Midtown. If you are going to go anywhere, hit up this spot for sure. Robert knew what to do with my hair without me even needing to mention specific details. It was also great connecting over life stories. Price is great too.

Fantastic Barber Shop and excellent Haircut with the hot towel and a neck shave at the end.I have been looking for a good Barber Shop around here. American Barber Shop is the one and even more! Not only the service was beyond expected, but also very professional and very clean. The way the shop is designed is very comfortable, welcoming, classy with a great atmosphere. Took my 14 year old son for a much needed haircut. We’re relatively new to Atlanta. They were first to pop up on google with a high rating. My son is mixed and has big curls. I’m always hesitant to take him to general haircut places cause they usually just mutilate his beautiful bouncy curls. I usually just let his hair grow out, just to keep anyone from destroying his hair. Seeing that it was a specialty barbershop, I looked into it. The location closest to us just opened up and was doing some specials and wanted to check them out. Great location! Clean, and I loved how my son’s barber Robert had gold tools, he was very detailed and friendly. My son’s hair turned out exactly as we hoped! My son said he’s ever had his hair feel like a “cloud” before hahahahaha Robert took his time in a timely manner. Efficient, yet meticulous. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! I’ll be referring this place to pretty much anyone I meet! Thanks again!

I’ve had very good experiences at this barber shop. I’ve been a couple times. I’ve had both Robert and Clipper Man cut my hair and both did a great job. I don’t usually leave reviews, but want people to know about how nice this Barber shop is.

Clipperman at American Barber Shop Midtown Atlanta did a great job on my hair. I was a walk in and took a chance and I’m glad I did. I hadn’t had a haircut or a beard trim during the bull of this pandemic and it was great to get the treatment. Clipperman has a lot of experience and pays close attention to detail. The banter and conversation was also good, which is a part of the barbershop experience, no?

The experience with Robert was excellent, he took very good care of me, his work was impeccable and well-complimented. I received a low temp fade and beard trim with hot towel treatment I will be back!

This is very fine establishment with great customer support. They immediately serviced me for a cut after helping me find the restrooms. We had nice conversation and the barber was extremely experienced. He knew what I wanted immediately upon being told, which was a drop fade. The cut itself wasnt normal nor average. In fact it was the most premium cut I have ever had!P.S. For anyone confused due to the mapping of Google maps, the barber shop is located at the back around the mid section of the plaza: not the front like what Google will show you. The front looks like its boarded up and isnt actually part of the barber shop nor is it located by any of the fine eateries but rather the literal back of the shown directory

Walked in for a neck shave, learned the intimate details of the business, was immensely unsatisfied. Great barbers, but make sure you keep Clipperman or Roberts’ phone numbers. It’s only a matter of time before they wisen up.Terrible management and an insensitivity to tact and common sense.

I came in this week for a haircut , really not knowing what to expect. I’m a transplant from California and was looking for a new place to get a haircut. I made an appointment same day and got in with Rob. Rob was incredible. Not only did he cut my hair and offer me a complimentary wash ( I have dry hair and dandruff) but we had a great conversation that actually uplifted my spirit that day. It was a shame that I was the only person in the business because the quality is A1. I’m looking forward to future cuts with Rob.
