These guys are the best - my alternator was failing and they made sure to get me in and out quickly, so I did not have to risk driving to another shop. They were incredibly understanding and welcoming - even talking to my parents so we could all talk through the solutions. Their work and prices are honest - I could not ask for a better neighborhood automotive shop. Highly recommend!

I can’t say thank you enough! I was in from out of state and started having issues with my brakes, ABS and traction control lights. I brought it to D.O.G, they so kindly fit me in between appointments. Not only did they fix the problem, it was at an incredibly low price and they had the best customer service. I’m always skeptical taking my car to be worked on by someone I don’t know, but I would 1000% recommend them.

My sons car broke down (alternator died) on 85 as he was passing through Atlanta. Found D.O.G less than a mile away and had it towed. They were able to fit his car into the schedule the next day and did a great job on the repair - and was very reasonably priced. However the thing that impressed me the most was that they were willing to meet us on their day off so that we could pick up the car - outstanding customer service. Thank you D.O.G.!

Came down here (about 3 hours away) for vacation and my car dies! This was the ONLY place that picked up the phone - I searched even about 5 miles out - and Blandon looked at the car immediately. He clearly knows what he’s doing and made a diagnosis that proved to be accurate. No, it wasn’t the battery, but it was the starter. He replaced it VERY FAST!! We knew the price before anything was done. What made us even happier was he fixed a couple other minor things FREE OF CHARGE (told us when we went to pick up the vehicle)! This place is a hidden gem, for sure. Super cool, trustworthy and intelligent guy who saved our vacation from disaster.

Blandon is a great guy and a knowledgeable mechanic. He was willing to see me early without an appointment to take a look at my vehicles a/c issues, he was able to pin point the issue and saved me hundreds of dollars that I thought I would need to spend because of the true and smaller issue he found. He was able to get my a/c working and even changed small tag lights and filled my tires with air. He deserves every good review he gets and now has another customer as long as I live here in Atlanta, Thank You.

Blandon was so helpful even before I officially brought my car to him. I was struggling through the Atlanta summer with little to no AC and when I called just before he closed for the day he offered to stay at the shop late on a Friday to take a look and see if there was anything he could do in the short term to make things a little more bearable. I brought my car to him the next week and he repaired it for me. The price was fair and he is dependable and honest. So glad to have such a great mechanic in midtown!

DOG Automotive is the place to go in Atlanta! They’re kind, helpful, and most importantly honest. I have a 1989 Isuzu Trooper which no mechanic in Atlanta seems to want to work on but DOG without hesitation would. Do yourself a favor and bring your car to them over any other mechanic.

I had the most incredible experience with Blandon. My car failed the emissions test this because of a faulty catalyst converter. He called around to multiple places to get the cheapest price and helped get me some savings on new air-fuel sensor that I also ended up needing. He also took my car back to the inspection place and had the passing form ready for me when I went to pick it up this afternoon! His customer service, attitude, and workmanship is above and beyond anything I could have expected. He even changed the battery in my car key which has been dead for years. I can’t thank him enough and would recommend his services to anyone!

Very pleased with the level of service and care I received. My power steering failed me several months ago while at the Shell Gas station. He took car of me very well, and also set me up with an excellent tow service. I highly recommend them and will use again in the future!

So I found my new mechanic for under the hood! I usually went down to Ellenwood in the country thinking it would be a bit cheaper for work to be done. I was soo soo wrong.A shop misdiagnosed my vehicle after they did a tune up and they were gonna charge me way more than the tune up! I live in Midtown and thought decided to finally look for a new mechanic in the area...alas, at D.O.G Auto, not only did Blandon correctly diagnose the issue, but he was also extremely knowledgeable with cars in general.What was a $700 misdiagnosed job down there, he quoted me for less than half of that. I turned in my car in the morning, and in the afternoon he said Hey were good to go. I was in shock because it took no time at all. Worth the money, worth the time...all around great experience. If I could do 10 stars, I would!!!Ill be back (hopefully not soon lol)

Honest and very dependable!!!!! I own a transportation company 350 miles away and one of our mini vans overheated. My driver pulled in at 10 am for it to be fixed. Amazing attentiveness, accuracy, and customer service.

On Saturday December 26, 2015 at 7:00pm, our daughter, son-in-law and grandbaby were traveling back home to Asheville, NC. Their car began over heating and they pulled off the interstate to assess the trouble. As it turns out, the water pump had failed and water/ coolant gushed out. Fortunately, the location where they pulled over had a valet in the parking lot. The valet was a huge help and through a series of phone calls was able to get in touch with the owner of D.O.G. Automotive. The owner, Blandon Johnson, who had family visiting from out of town, not only advised that he could fix the water pump, but he even dropped everything he was doing and came to the scene, evaluated the vehicle, picked up the needed parts, repaired the vehicle and in a little over 2 hours, our kids were back on the road. The kindness Mr. Johnson showed our family is a true testament to the exceptional service you can expect if you happen to be in downtown Atlanta and need your car repaired. Absolutely cant say enough good things about this business.
