We love this venue. It has an interesting history and is beautiful both inside and out. There isnt a bad seat in the house. The sound is great. They book great bands and comedians. For a little extra you can add access to the top floor to your ticket. Its nice because of the separate bar and bathrooms as well as roof access with a beautiful view.

This venue in an older, historic setting and is really good for a medium sized crowd. The biggest thing detracting from the experience is the parking, which is extremely disorganized. Temporary issues like construction and covid dont play into this review, because those have no real bearing on the venue.

This venue has been around for 25 years and this, amazingly, is my first visit. I wasnt terribly impressed. The steps are random and tough to handle. The most visible staircase when you enter the front door leads not into the event space but into a bar and restroom space downstairs! Parking is a challenge since its an old downtown venue. Ill return if somebody I really want to see is playing here but if its somebody I am only marginally interested in seeing, probably not.

It is a Fantastic venue. Social distancing😷😷😷 is easy here because there are several different levels and you can spread out with ease. There are also several bars strategically placed inside the venue so no matter where you are you can get a beverage🍷🍸🍺🍻🥃🤗🤗🤗🤗 I have attended and enjoyed several shows at the Tabernacle and the best part is it used to be a church so its so totally blessed and safe. If youre considering attending events their I would suggest Lyfting so you arent tasked with trying to find parking and if you drive, get there early for premium parking it is available but timing is everything...I cant wait to go back🤗🧡🤗🤗🧡 Thank you for a fantastically magical 🎆🎇🎆🎇🎆 9/30/21 night with Mali Music🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

Went here for a comedy show and had the best seats available. I had less leg room than on an airplane in coach. My legs were cramping for 24 hours after the show. The seats were as hard as church pews I guess thats why they call it the Tabernacle. I heard 18 and 19 year olds leaving the show complaining about joint pain. I will never come here for a show again!

Very unique venue. Been here multiple times throughout the years and always enjoy the decorations and inside of the building. The outside looks like a dumpy brick building but the inside is awesome. Can get shoulder to shoulder crowded but every concert here is lit. Drink prices are pretty high is only downside and parking in downtown Atlanta is terrible no matter what day it is. Definitely worth checking out a show here when youre band comes to town

Its simply this, the acoustics are amazing,..its small and almost always general Admission on the floor in front of the stage, andIve seen some awesome shows, including Collective Soul,GOO GOO DOLLS, and most recently Grace Potter. All of these concerts were around $75, @ the most, per ticket for general admission. My wife and I go to approximately 10-12 concerts a year here in and around Atlanta, and weve been to most venues, so when I say that Tabernacle is 1 of the best venues, in my top 3, Trust Me,......Deepman

Definitely a really cool venue. Ive lived in Georgia my whole life tonight I finally got to see a concert at the Tabernacle. Luke Combs was performing one of two shows here in Atlanta. Loved my first visit here! We went to see Reik and it was amazing! Awesome sound, light show and even though we sat on the top balcony it was still an awesome experience. The stair climbing however not the most fun since it gets hot and to get to the top balcony I think we end up 3 flights. Totally worth it!!The bathrooms are kind of odd because the men and women are basically together. You walk in the doorway. Directly in front of you there is a bench. To the left is a mirror and then a right turn takes you to the mens stall. Same for making a right from the bench for the womens stalls. So if youre looking at yourself in the full length mirror you can see the mens side mirror in the reflection.

Great live music venue. It is an old church that has been converted into a concert space. The space is beautiful and the acoustics are wonderful. Balcony seating is available. Three floors. Lots of steps so be mindful this is not a place that can be easily accessed for persons with disabilities. Also when there are concerts they have police on site so it is safe. They give wrist bands to those who are 21+ but unsure if they section off the main floor for those who can drink and cannot. The upstairs balcony is a bit more calm. They also have a rooftop for VIP seating which was awesome.

The Tabernacle is beautiful and opulent but also a little old and seems unsafe in some areas, some of the stairs were shaky(especially on the fire escape) which made me nervous moving around. I love this place. The staff was very nice the stage was perfect no matter where you sit or stand the view is great the ceiling is beautiful as well with a beautiful chandelier they even have the original structure still in place on the second floor Im guessing this is where they used to stand in the small boxes and project lights onto the stage from? But Im not sure but either way it is an amazing place its so cool I wanted to work there! Cant wait for the next event! And parking is behind the Tabernacle theres also street parking as well I paid 10 or $20 to park and a good way to find the Tabernacle is its exactly behind the big ferris wheel downtown Atlanta.

The beautiful architectural design of this iconic and legendary venue in the heart of downtown Atlanta does not disappoint. The acoustics were incredible and there isnt a bad seat or standing area in the house. It was great to see a band from Mexico and a band from Canada playing together. It may have just been an intentional way of sending the message that we are all “Americans” or North Americans, Canadians and Mexicans in the heart of the Southern United States metropolitan center of Atlanta. The Tabernacle having a long history as a Southern architectural gem that has showcased many events remains standing since before the civil rights era and MLK Jr. The Tabernacle and Atlanta are still at the center of international social and cultural diversity. Metric rocked the house!

Very cool old venue that was a church then the House of Blues and now the Tabernacle. Has two stages a few lounges and unique art on the ceiling and walls. Great venue here in Atlanta. The security is always super helpful and they always have more than enough staff for the events. The ushers are really sweet and more than willing to help.I will say, I missed one of the bands because the ticket said the show started at 8pm and doors opened at 7pm. Which is unfortunate because July Talk is a Canadian band and Id waited awhile to see them live, come to find out doors opened at 6pm and they went on at 7. So thats my only gripe, inaccurate show start times.

Nice swanky and intimate venue. The floor area became crammed though, like standing with arms at side and touching people on 4 sides. I swear that floor is going to bounce to the basement one day with all the jumping on it. Wine and beer are $7-10. Get more than one if you get a good position on the floor, because it will be impossible to get back to your spot if you leave. The security are nice enough to give sips of water to the people near the front.

Went here for a concert. Place was pretty clean, restrooms where clean as well. Event staff were friendly and helpful. This was my first time there and was worried about parking, however, I got there early enough to get great parking by the Waffle House. On a slightly chilly night, the line to get inside moved pretty quickly. The only negative thing I would say is that during the concert the sound from the artist was pretty muffled. The DJs music sounded good, however, the artist was a little muffled. Maybe it was the artist or maybe it was the equipment the artist was using during the concert itself. I dont know, but I still had a great time and will potentially check out other artists here at this facility.

I’ve heard about this venue, I just assumed it was well liked because it looked cool, well it so so much more than that. It has a great staff, ran well, they know how to do the type of show that they book. I’ve almost stopped going to comedy shows in theaters this size because of all the distractions, that wasn’t the case here, everyone was here to see the show and there were minimal almost no interruptions or distractions. I came here from Orlando to see the same show I could have seen at the Hard Rock, I made a good choice.

I absolutely adore this venue and the employees. I wish there were more acts xoming up I am familiar with bc I want an excuse to go back to this awesome theater. We saw Tash Sultana there and the acoustics the lighting the seating all were great. Except for that one jack A that has to stand up in the front row and screw it up for everyone. I paid for a VIP balcony seat and it said online unobstructed but thats only if someone isnt standing. I also found out after paying quite a bit for the early VIP reserved seat that you can buy general admission but also buy a VIP upgrade and sit just a few rows back from the reserved seats. Have free snack and food. Private bathroom access. It would have been much more cost effective for me to purchase the ticket that way vs the way I did. Next time, I will check with their box office for this option. You wont regret a night out at this venue. Its also right next to a huge ferris wheel in Highland Park that had carriage rides going by and a nice atmosphere. I would suggest getting there very early if you are general admission.

Great Vibes, Good Music! How have I lived in Georgia for 40 years and never visited the Tabernacle. Such a funky music hall in a church so there are stunning stained glass windows but with all the modern conveniences. We saw Sting and Shaggy there on Monday and the show was amazing - they were obviously having the best time together and complimented each other well. Plus, we were like 10 feet away from a rock legend, how was that even possible???We did have this crowd of entitled jerks - three couples, the husbands all wearing nearly matching aqua pima polo shirts - who shoved everyone out of their way so they and their scrawny, overly tanned wives could get closer to the action and then got beligerantly defensive when called on their behavior but hey, I guess thats just one crowd of Atlanta for you. Thank God the whole city isnt Roswell, amiright?Bottom line, loved the venue, appreciated the security at the door, my bourbon and ginger was nice and strong - would go back in a heartbeat.
