We paid a small fortune for our mini split units 2 years ago. I have no problem with Ashland comfort control and just want to more so give people a chance to see what can happen with these units … just be aware that they only warranty what their techs work on for one year. A flared part cracked but they couldn’t tell me if it was factory’s fault or tech that flared it. I do water line/ services for work… ductile, poly, copper…. If we flare something wrong or if it is a bad compression fitting/ pipe cracks we definitely do not make customer pay for pipe, fitting, or water lost. Where fitting was broken was outside inside of the unit.. wasn’t bumped or bent so I guess maybe it was Mother Nature heating and cooling it 🤷🏽‍♂️ Either way the Freon is super expensive

First things first. In Ohio we have a high level of Radon in some places.I reached out to Ashland and spoke to Joe about a test. We set up a time to do a test and he was very flexible on when he could come and set up and complete the test. He was prompt on getting me the report and presenting my options.I will say this, you get what you pay for. I say this in a good way. Joe and his team were quick to install my mitigation system. They were very organized and tidy. No mess was left. With anything that is installed, small bugs can happen. We had one and Joe was very quick to come out with his team and fix what was wrong (Out of their control). He completed my post test and everything is working like we wanted.I have worked with many companies, Joe being so hands on is a huge plus for me. He quoted me a few other projects and he will be getting that work when the time comes to complete. Thanks Joe and his team!

I was assigned Ashland Comfort Control through American Home Shield, which is a secondary insurance policy for selected appliances ect... The tech showed up and he seemed bothered to be in our home. We told him the issue with the air conditioning and after his inspection he told us the smell we were smelling was Radon gas...? Most of us know Radon does not have a smell and I told him as such...well that was a big mistake. He left. A few days later the owner called me and I explained what happened. The owner stated he didnt understand why the tech would say that and he had worked in the field for 33 years. The owner apologized and I said I just want the odor coming from the air conditioning to be fixed. A few days later I called the insurance company to see if they were coming back to the house to help with the issue. The insurance company said Ashland Comfort Control said I was difficult and they refused to service my air conditioning. Wow! So, moral of this story is, if you hire these people dont question anything they do or say, even if you know you are right! Or you will be labeled difficult. I paid extra money for them to fix the air conditioning and all I got was labeled. Find another contractor...

We had a gas log fireplace installed in our existing wood burning fireplace and are very satisfied with the entire installation. Bo was very professional and came out for measurements and offered advice for what would work in our space .Just in a few weeks time they called to set up install . Jacob and Kyle did a very professional job of installing and running a gas line for the logs. They did a very through job . We are so very happy with our new fireplace and wonder why we waited so long to do it. Ashland Comfort Control did a wonderful job and we highly recommend them. Thank You.

Ill be honest.. the first visit left a terrible taste in my mouth and I had a terrible experience. We had an issue after the tech left where our ac just randomly stopped working and so our hvac situation was worse than before we called. The saving grace was Mike (I believe) who was on call when I furiously called back. He went above and beyond to fix the issue and hes absolutely the reason I leave a 5* review. He diagnosed the issue almost immediately and fixed it.

Really pleased with Ashland Comfort Control. They were able to come look at my furnace in less than 24hrs after I called. Their service fee is very reasonable and the service man I had (Troy) was very thorough, knowledgeable and personable. Would definitely recommend!

Ryan was the technician for servicing our propane fireplace. He was so kind and knowledgeable. Just excellent service. He went beyond the inside fireplace service to fix the exhaust which housed a birds nest. He went to the local hardware and bought chicken wire to cover the opening and keep out the birds. Ryan was so considerate. We so appreciate him. He is also going to check and see if the blower can be fixed and that has been a problem for several years. Excellent work much beyond expectations. Thank you.

4-30-2020Chad performed our semi-annual maintenance and did a fine job. I asked him about replacing the furnaces air filter (we have a big one), and he told me it is fine until the fall maintenance call. I appreciate honesty like that. This service was performed during the COVID-19 situation; Chad followed all rules set out by our state. Again, we were very pleased to see that. We are happy to be your customer; youve been helping us for years. Wishing the best for all of you.

My wife and I have been using Ashland Comfort Control since we bought our house in 2015. Originally, they provided us annual service on our furnace and AC unit so that we could get the most length out of them possible. This year we finally decided to upgrade to brand new Lennox units and we couldnt be happier. The Ashland Comfort Control team was professional as always, trained us on the new technology, and made sure to clean up after. We will continue using them for all of our home needs.

My experience with Ashland Comfort Control started on September 8th 2020. I spoke to an employee named Earl about an estimate for startup of a mini-split ductless system my wife and I were intending to install.Earl estimated this:$280 to start up (inspect and start running) a 4-zone mini-split system.(this is trying to cover their time down and up, a thorough inspection, and turning the power on. It does not include having to pull a vacuum on the system and a leak test - for that add about $85 for another hour).If pressure test and vacuum is needed then add on about $85.4 Hours Minimum Charge (4*$85 = $340)It took my wife and I a while to install the system up to the point where startup services were needed. We called back and scheduled startup service for December 3rd. I again spoke to Earl for scheduling.On December 3rd a technician from Ashland Comfort Control arrived. He was in my house for 16 minutes (8:06 AM to 8:22 AM). In that time he assessed our system, everything that would be done in an in-person quoting process. He explained that he has never worked on the model of mini-split we purchased. He also said that they would have to reschedule because they just got swamped due to the time of year with the cold season. He said that two guys may be able to get it done in 3 to 4 hours. It may also take a little longer. Chad said that the main office would call me back to reschedule. I was disappointed because my wife and I were expecting to get heat that day. But we understood things happen.A short while later I received a call back from Ashland Comfort Control and spoke to Earl. Earl said this:They are not allowed by company policy to handle a mini split that they didn’t sell.Ashland Comfort Control backed out of the project. They knew from the get-go that this was a mini-split they did not sell. My wife and I are now left trying to find a contractor to start up our system. To add insult to injury we then received this bill in the mail today.We were billed $85 for Technician Ran Diagnostics on Mini-Split. The technician never even touched the unit! We have had many contractors come through and give us quotes for projects on our addition. Everything this technician did were things that were done in a normal quotation process. Ive had several other HVAC contractors come out and quote the project since then and none of them have billed us for it. My wife and I are very upset about this. They backed out leaving us in a bind. And then they billed us for it. I recommend trying a different company. This is not how you run a business that leaves customers satisfied.Update:After several calls with Ashland Comfort Control they decided to cancel the bill since no service was actually performed.

We had our furnace go out just maybe a week or 2 before the coldest days of the year. Ashland Comfort Control responded quickly with a quote and then getting the job scheduled and completed in a very reasonable time frame. The attention to detail and courtesy during the entire process was top notch. I would highly recommend.

After living in our home for 46 years with all electric heat, we decided to convert our home to propane, and central air system. We had talked to several other companies prior to calling Ashland comfort control. Mr. Bo Rogers came out on September the 31st to share with us the system he would recommend. He was very thouough and professional. He made a huge difference in our decision making, plus he is very kind. We got the estimate and decided your company would be our best option. They started on September 21st and finished on the 29th. The installation was exceptional.. Greg and Chad did a wonderful job. A few issues arose which was quickly addressed. After all was finished the unit ran beautifully. Our thermostat was a smart unit, so Mr. Bo came out and explained to us how to use it, which we love. He took his time to help us learn the system. Mr. Bo is an asset to your company and its an understatement to express our gratitude. Also to Greg and Chad we thank you for the great installment of our new Amana heat pump and furnace. We love the service we receive. This winter our furnace when out Sunday night we called Monday morning. They were there at 8:30am. Put in a temporary part then came back in two days with the new part. We stayed warm throw the whole repair. Thank You Ashland Comfort. You truly deliver comfort.

This was by far the best HVAC experience I have ever had! Rich was at my house next day for an estimate on new Furnace/AC. within 2 hours of the time he left I had a quote which I felt was very fair pricing. Rich answered any and all questions we had along the way and offered what in his opinion what was the best system for us (and it wasnt the most expensive option). It was wonderful getting an honest opinion not just one that would suggest the most expensive option. We bought a new Amana system for both AC and Furnace. Scheduling called me one week prior to install and the install team arrived promptly in the AM of install day. They took excellent care of my home and cleaned up the area they were working in. Follow ups were made to ensure all of our questions were answered and that we were happy and very informed about our new system. We are happy customers who will be loyal customers to Ashland Comfort Control for our lifetime. Thank you for providing the type of service that gives people comfort in knowing they can trust. I cannot say enough about how pleased we are!

We had a service call for A.C. this year ,no parts involved, furnace not working now, worked last winter, called to have them come out to check what happened, of course we were told there would be a charge, We paid nearly $300.00 dollars & somehow, something is not right, after the service with our furnace. We live on a budget & cant afford another bill ,when obviously something was done incorrectly. My husband is so stressed out over this, Im afraid hes going to have a heart attack

Poorest customer service Ive had in years. Just like one of the reviews above... They were quick to send a diagnostic service and charge my credit card. With water laying on the floor the technician said he thought simple check valves needed to be installed, but he wanted to consult another technician. That theyd be in contact w/ me about an estimate. THREE and a half weeks go by AFTER being charged, w/ water still spraying on my floor. I called multiple times to ask when I could at least expect an estimate, and after THREE and a half weeks get an estimate that says they want to rebuild the entire system for over $1700!!! I asked to speak w/ someone about what issues were discovered to go from only check valves to check valves and a complete rebuild, and have not received any response. I will not be doing business with them in the future and wish I would have read the above reviews before I called them.

Came home from work to find my AC was not working. Called for service and within one hour they came out and had the problem fixed. The tech had the part needed and was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them to others.
