Owner JD came to give me a quote on a number of replacement windows. Two other companies had said it would be about $13,000. He sat in my living room and said, “You don’t need new windows, just repairs.” And he recommended another local company! He saved me almost $12,000 through his kindness.

We met with several window salesmen, and chose JD with Clear Choice because the price was right and the windows were comparable to others on the market. Each window was measured for the casement of our 1920s home. They even built casements for two large windows and painted the trim. We had a problem with one of the windows, and JD did not hesitate to have it changed out. JD was professional, helpful and went above and beyond our expectations.

I contacted Clear Choice Windows USA of Asheville, NC to get a quote for windows in my new home. I confirmed a quote for Thursday, February 21 via text and included my wife (who wanted me to handle the windows) just so she would be in the know of who is in our home and when and why. James Totherow was incredibly unprofessional, condescending and sexist. He did not answer my wife when she asked TWICE which business he worked at (she was not involved in the window quote process). Finally he responded that he worked at Window World. It was incredibly unprofessional behavior.He is rude and a liar. I would avoid at all costs.

Beware working with JD Totherow and his installer, James Gass. JD was very friendly on the initial call, so I went with his windows and the installer he recommended, James Gass. However in less than a month, the windows were leaking. When I called James to come out, he cancelled the morning of the appointment. I had some other professional installers take a look and they were horrified that the widows were stuck in without a casement, using 1 X 4s without proper caulking. When I called JD Totherow to come take a look, he rudely refused. I sent him a letter outlining the problems and his reply by phone message was, You are on your own. He did send me a warranty which James Gass had neglected to do, but what good is that? I have seen how they handle a warranty: Not At All! Now I will have to have the windows un-installed, casement built and re-installed at my own expense. Buyer beware working with Clear Choice windows, JD Totherow and his installer, James Gass!!
