Love this company!! I have used their competitor twice, Zen Tubing, and they have NOTHING on Sky Tubing!! The tubes and service are so much better from start to finish! Newer buses, newer tubes and they actually help you get in and out of the river which is HUGE! Such nice people too! I am late in leaving a review but we floated with Sky tubing in mid-August. I can’t wait to return next year. Thanks for going the extra mile to make this experience great in comparison to the competition. As long as you all are open, this is the company I want to use!

Great staff, great prices and comfortable tubes. They help you in and out of the water and handle your cooler too. The extra $5 for a cooler float is well worth it. You can bring snacks, do bring water and Gatorade or adult beverages if you choose. Bring something for the ducks too! They follow along and love to be fed. This company gives you a paddle. We saw others didn’t. At times you’ll want to paddle a little. Sunday afternoon was a great time to go. Plenty of people but not too crowded. Highly recommend this friendly and professional group!

Loved sky tubing. I have used a few other services in and around Asheville but sky tubing has been my favorite. They carry your coolers and all tubes for you, connect tubes in the water before you get in, help you into and out of your tube and are waiting in the water at the end to help steer you to the exit. Other tubing companies I have used, although still good, did not help me into my tube, carry anything for us and did not stand in the water to help us out like these guys did. Very appreciated. Will definitely use them again soon and recommend to my friends!

Sky tubing was great - definitely recommend! We accidentally signed up for the wrong day and they easily changed our plans. Also forgot to rent a cooler float and they were happy to let us buy on site. The float ride was 4 hours on our day due to the slow current but we paddled and finished in 2.5 hours - way quicker than the staff had expected but they were there within 2 minutes to get us. Everyone was very sweet and gave us local tips which we appreciated!

The trip itself is amazing and the help with loafing your things is great. However, I think employees should leave their own political and social beliefs out of conversation during the bus ride. They get paid to drive us and have a great time- not encroach beliefs about how horrible homeless people are. It leaves the experience with a bitter taste of how our driver truly feels about the people in her community. Very sad with the lack of professionalism in the driver. Dobetter and love others l.

This place was a amazing! Easy to get on and off tubs!

We had a blast. The family that runs this place was super friendly and nice. Their tubes were bigger than the others I saw on the river and they included paddles at no additional cost. You simply pull in, pay, get your life best for the kiddos and they take you via bus to a drop off point on the river. You climb down a ladder and they help you get on and go out. We were tethered together and had a great time. It took about 2 hours to leisurely...with paddling...drift down the river. After you pass the 4th bridge you immediately go to the left side of the river and scoot out. Two young men help you out and after 10 minutes someone picks you up and takes you back to your car. There is a porta potty when you get out. There are changing both when you arrive at the gate to pay. Wear sunscreen as there is a lot of sun and not a lot of places to shade yourself. We had the BEST time tubing the river through Sky Tubing. Everyone working is extremely friendly, very accommodating, and works hard to be sure you have the best experience. We needed to add one extra person to our group of 10 and they gave us no hassle at all even though it was a last minute request. I would use Sky Tubing again and again. 10/10 worth it!

Had an excellent experience. Such a relaxing trip. A major plus for Sky Tubing is you get a small paddle. My wife and 2 kids. Lashed all the tubes together. It was inexpensive to rent a tube for a cooler. It should be obvious, but you have to bring your own cooler. A group in front of us did not realize that. You run pretty much similar route as Zen tubing place. If you have kids Sky ends up being a lot cheaper. I recommend doing Sky Tubing.

Every single employee from start to finish gave exemplary service. My family didn’t have to lift a finger with the floats or our cooler. Everyone was super nice and patient with all their customers no matter how busy they were. They are definitely five star!

We had been tubing with another company many times before. We tried sky tubing this year because we had heard goo things about them. It was simple, they helped us all into our tubes, carried our cooler, and made everything as easy and seamless as possible. I won’t go through any other company from now on.

Our family had a great experience with Sky Tubing. The people that drive the bus and help get you in the water are so nice! Bus ride to river has open windows and masks are required until you get in the water.

I was hosting a batchelor party of 10 people for my brother and I was really worried about getting there a few minutes late and just the trip being fun, etc. all my worries were alleviated by these great people that work here and it far exceeded my expectations and we had the time of our lives. We felt like VIP.

Excellent experience! The customer service provided by all of the Sky Tubing staff members was outstanding. All of the staff members were very helpful from start to finish and friendly.

It was ok. Simply for the fact we were not given but one paddle for three people. There were two set of 8 guest in front of us they all received paddles. It’s very hard to steer with one. The guy loading the cooler had an attitude when I asked him if he could put the water proof box in with the cooler. Oh and the only gas station near the place service was aweful can’t use bathroom if you don’t buy something. To top it off the bathroom was out of toilet paper when I asked him for some he very sarcastically said “ you can grab some napkins we don’t have any”. There isn’t much direction in where to check in we pulled up and not one person directed us to where to park no signs posted had to ask. Definitely wasn’t written in email on where to go. Other than that it was a great experience.

My first review ever. I felt I had to. I have tubed my whole life. I’m 55 years old. I have never seen or experienced the the service, and care this company offers. Kudos to you sky tubing!

While we very much so enjoyed the experience of floating down the river with family, I am incredibly disappointed in the measures Sky Tubing failed to take to protect customers from COVID-19. The website has clear COVID-19 precautions listed out, which I took as a promising sign when booking. Despite the rules stating that all customers must wear a mask on the shuttle, we saw multiple shuttles load and unload with most people totally unmasked. We considered leaving before starting, but thankfully the group that joined our shuttle seemed to prioritize public health as well. We complained to the crew that mask rules were not being followed and the response we received was that many customers lose their masks on the float, or masks get too wet to wear. That is simply not an acceptable answer. If customers can prioritize keeping phones, keys, speakers, coolers dry, they can manage to do that with a mask. I would not recommend Sky Tubing to anyone who is considering tubing as a possible low risk COVID-19 activity.

Great experience!! We researched a few other tubing companies and I would say we made the right choice by picking Sky! The service they provide is spectacular, and they help you in and out of the tubes. Their tubes seem to be of MUCH better quality than some of the other tubes we passed on the water. We will definitely do this again with Sky!

We went by Zen tubing on a Saturday and they were so crowded we had about given up on tubing. Then we passed by Sky and decided to give it a shot. We parked immediately and filled out a form and quickly got on a shuttle. At the drop-off spot there were only a handful of people in front of us. We had a great time on the water, all of the staff were friendly and handled everything for us, the tubes were solid and nice, we will definitely go back to Sky for tubing.

Sky tubing is such a great company, I would highly recommend them.I am disabled and unable to walk, they were able to lift me down to the loading dock and get me all situated. They handled my wheelchair and it was there when I arrived at the end of our destination.Great company, very good people cant recommend enough!

We loved everything about Sky Tubing! First of all the tubes were all fully inflated and clean ( not what I observed with the other companies). ST has great stairs both in and out of the river and you are assisted by their friendly employees. You don’t even get wet! The transfer to and from the river was immediate with buses/vans that run continuously. Last but not least, we payed only $18 for a wonderful experience which was a great deal for the fun we had. Choose Sky Tubing and you won’t be disappointed!!

We went tubing with Sky Tubing yesterday and had a wonderful time! We were actually planning on using a different company but they were booked for the time we wanted and they recommended Sky Tubing to us and I am so glad they did! Sky Tubing didnt require reservations and was cheaper. Additionally, the people at Sky Tubing were so sweet and helpful! They have a changing room where you park your vehicle in case you want to change when you get back as well. Definitely recommend!

Had a great time tubing with my family. Sky Tubing were very nice and helpful. They shuttled us to the river and then had our tubes all ready for us. Helped us get in and on our way and the end of our 3 hour float they were right there helping us get out loaded our cooler on the shuttle and just really nice people. Look no further.. if you want to tube the French Broad river this is the outfit to use. Family owned and operated.. they care about their customers. Significantly much less then the well advertised competition.. could not ask for better service. Perfect day and outstanding customer service. Could not ask for more. Group of 10, 5 adults and 5 kids. Life jackets provided and even let use use a dry box for our phone.. remember to bring your cooler for beers and snacks. Just perfect.

This place will go a extra mile to make sure you have a great experience on the river. They where voted best outdoor activity by trip advisor 2 years in a row! And you can see why. They get everything ready for you . They tie your tubes together, load your cooler into the cooler float. Then even hold the float for you as you sit down and at the step where you get out ! What a great group of people first off !! Military discount , free paddles , not over priced , bus is ready to go even if there are two people waiting . They tethered us together , we didn’t even have to ask ! Everyone asked us how our trip was , I mean everyone . The tubes are filled and not deflated like Zen was. They helped us in and out of the water and made sure we knew where to get out . Sometimes you need to try the little guy out not the big name brand company . I promise you won’t be disappointed .

This place is awesome. We have used zen before but getting out of the water was scary. The water was high and there were lots of rocks. The friendly zen staff takes you down steps into a sandy bottom and help you get into and out of the tubes. Added bonus - the prices are cheaper than zen! We will be back.

We were very happy with our experience. The shuttle was constantly running, we never had to wait. I liked the in and out of the river, they make it very easy. The rafts were very clean and comfortable and the staff was incredibly friendly. Great value!

We had a great experience! Met a man named Johnny who really helped us out and was extremely friendly. The float was spectacular and scenic, and the prices were unbeatable. Perfect for a sunny afternoon with a loved one, a group of friends, or a family. We loved our time here and would recommend it to anyone.

We loved tubing through Sky Tubing!!! Why it’s better than what I observed from Zen Tubing: sky tubing staff help you into the water, instead of giving you the tube and having to get in yourself (can be difficult depending on the water flow!). Sky’s tunes are much larger and newer. We saw smaller and older looking tubes when Zen tubers were on the river. At the end, the staff kindly helped us out of the water. We originally were going to tube through Zen but after reading some disturbing reviews online, we decided to take our money elsewhere and it definitely paid off! Speaking of which, Sky Tubing is cheaper than Zen Tubing. Overall an incredible experience and superb staff. Thanks for making our first tubing adventure a great one! Will recommend to everyone going to Asheville!

This place is awesome. Customer service is absolutely great! They are nice, considerate, and when we were there, there wasnt a line. When getting in my tube, I lost my water bottle and the workers there gave me another one from their own cooler.

The guys here were amazing. They helped us load up our tubes with beer coolers. At the end they picked us back up in the bus and dropped us off back at our truck.I highly recommend them for any relaxing trip to Ashville.

Staff was really friendly. We had used another tubing place in the past but bc it was $20 a person(even for kids) we chose to buy our own floats. Sky will shuttle you, inflate your tube and help you in and out of the river for $5 a person. They also have cheaper rates $18 for adults and $12 for kids (I think) if you rent tubes. Will definitely be back!

Pretty disappointed, drove from 5 hours away for the weekend and planned on tubing, but they closed 45 minutes early. Sounds like a great time, cant see how business hours matter if youre not going to stick to them. Oh well, maybe next year. Recommend calling ahead I guess.

Great service at a great price. Staff was very helpful... They walk you to the river and assist you into your tube, then at the end they help you to the river edge to get out. Great that they have a place to change into dry clothes. Very nice lady driving the bus to the out-in and take-out location. As a sides note, i will say that as you float under the railroad bridge near the end of your trip, pay attention as we saw a bunch of large black spiders scurrying up the walls.. The kid at the take out says they were wolf spiders.. One was on one of the tubes.

Came on Memorial Day weekend and was told to come back at 3:45, and as long as we came back at that time we will be able to go tubing. We also showed up 20 minutes earlier, and then they said no more tubes and they will not serve anymore.We also drove all the way from Fayetteville, so I was truly disappointed!

Incredible experience at Sky Tubing. Exceptional customer service. Staff was beyond friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time tubing the French Broad. They had everything set up for us, all we had to do was hop in the tube and start drinking beers. We had so much fun we went again the following day and recieved a free ride for one person.A small family business, prices are cheaper than the nearby corporate drones at Zen Tubing. Five stars!!!

Sky tubing was awesome! We went this past weekend & had a blast! The staff were friendly & very helpful from start to finish! We even felt very safe with this tubing company because they keep an eye on you in the river. Free shuttle there & back! We got rained out & it started getting cold with the rain so, we paddled to first spot we found to get out of river. We called sky tubing to come rescue us & they were there in just a few minutes! My review for this small but absolutely phenomenal company is 5 stars. If I could give more I would! These guys take it to the next level. They dont have a fancy shmancy building like Zen Tubing and thats fine with me. Where they excel is on the river. First and foremost you walk single file down REAL STAIRS to the water. Then they turn you around and bring the tube to you and you gently sit down. They hold onto you and the tube. They tie all your people safely in a row so that nobody gets lost and then they connect your cooler floats for you to the other people in your party. When everyone is seated and together and all coolers are ready to go. They send you off. Let me just stop here and say that the other outfits in the area dont do this. Guess what? They capture you and pick you up the same way. No worries. My tube popped while out on the water and they rescued me and offered me another tube. Who else does that? Nobody! Sky Tubing has my business for life!

One of our favorite experiences in Asheville. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful from the shuttle ride, to getting into your tube. We were super comfortable in the tubes and loved the convenience of having our cooler with us. I was super grateful that the rentals include the paddle. My husband and I were chuckling as we watched a group using zin tubing struggle to miss low lying branches by paddling with their hands. We highly recommend sky tubing!

Such a fun tubing experience! My husband and I were in Asheville for a weekend away and wanted to tube down the river. The tubing place we intended to use was already closed (at 3pm) so we went down the road to Sky tubing. So glad we did! The staff was super friendly and gave us everything we needed. Including paddles, which the other place did not offer. We even had a cooler float for our yeti. We ended up being their last group to pick up, which I felt bad about, but the guys that picked us up did not act upset at all. They were extremely friendly and even concerned that we had to wait a couple minutes for them. It was overall a great experience that I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing activity in Asheville.

After being turned away by Zen Tubing, the 14 person Bachelorette party group I was with turned to Sky Tubing. It was the best decision of our trip! Sky Tubing wasnt afraid of a little rain and let us tube our hearts out! We even saved money going to Sky Tubing. We had a wonderful time and the family who runs this business couldnt have been nicer. They went out of our way to make us have a great time. It was a blast, I would recommend the 3 hour course!I will definitely be back if I return to Asheville and I would recommend Sky Tubing to anyone!
