If we had skipped this shop after reading some of the reviews , we would have made a huge mistake. We had just arrived in town, on Saturday, at 5 pm, and discovered an issue with our Fiat. Another shop referred us to Firestone because they couldnt see us for five days. We arrived a few minutes before closing and were given an appointment for next day. I was so amazed I checked their website to confirm they did open on Sundays at 8 am. We were really worried about the problem, my husband imagining the worst. We have to praise Jonathan, our tech. The noise was gone but he was still able to diagnose the problem, even describing what he thought had happened (exactly what my husband had felt, which turned out to be not as nightmarish an issue as we were afraid of). Jonathan was very honest about other issues in our vehicle and put our minds to peace by informing us how critical or not they were. Besides being knowledgeable, he was very polite. And to top it all, Fernando, the service advisor, was extremely helpful and friendly. Too bad we do not live in town because this would definitely be our regular shop. Thanks guys for a great service.

I highly recommend you take pictures of your vehicle before you take it into this place. Went in for a simple tire rotation and oil change, and my car comes out with a bulge in the sidewall of my tire. Of course, they can sell me a tire. How convenient.

I was traveling from out of town, and developed problems with my wheel and brakes over the weekend. I arrived without an appointment on Monday morning: Everyone at this store, including the technician who met me on the lot and carried my wheel into the shop area - went above and beyond to fit me into their schedule, and finish all the work, ahead of schedule. The technician was incredible, and the people at the front desk, including Fernando, were very helpful, informative, and responsive. I would recommend this store to everyone - 5 stars.

I had a flat tire the Sunday afternoon prior to Memorial Day. Every place was closed that could help except for Firestone. Thank you to all their employees who sacrificed a holiday weekend to work. Joe Middleton made a lasting impression during my time there. He patched my tire at a moments notice. After the patch, he reinflated my tire, put some water on it to let me know it wasn’t leaking, and quickly took my donut off and replaced my tire. He was courteous, quick, and professional. All on a holiday weekend at 4:30pm. Thank you Firestone and thank you Joe!

I was on vacation with my family and the right front tire looked a little sus. I have 6 kids and safety is most important when driving in the mountains. We called Firestone and they had us bring my van right in. I have a 15 passenger van and not all places are willing to help or they dont have the machinery to help. The men that helped us were beyond nice and assured us that our van was safe to drive and did not charge us one penny. It was a great experience. The only thing I regret is that I did not get the two gentlemans name that helped us. I hope they see this.

Dont hesitate to come here. The people that work here go above and beyond making sure you and your vehicle are taken well care of. They got me in and out with record time and with such great customer service! They took a rough morning and truly made it a pleasant experience. I cannot say enough great things about this place.

Driving through NC to KS and we broke down. This center was unbelievably kind and helpful. Highly recommend! I wish we knew the people were that helped us. So grateful.

If I could give zero stars I would. I use a couple of fantastic local places in Candler and Black Mountain usually, but I made the mistake of listening to a friend and sending my son and one of our work trucks to the Patton Ave Firestone, mostly out of curiosity (I will always add a new place to my roster if they do a good job)....$1500.00 later.... and even after reading the overly complicated and ridiculous receipt I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WAS DONE. It needed two tires and a window moter (looked at and priced out). I kid you not, two tires and a check on a window motor (which they fixed without being okayed) along with whatever else they fixed.... and it ended up being $1500.00. The guy at the register could answer no questions, seemed confused and blabbered without making any sense, because he had no idea himself, it was clear to me.Also, they couldnt find his truck (or his name in the computer) when I called to inquire on when it would be done. I had to drive there and locate it in the parking lot and when I went in the man eventually located his infoThey checked the air conditioner (it only needed the BUTTON fixed, the highest position would not blow)....now it does not blow cold anymore at all.I havent had an experience like this since I was very young....and I believe this happened because my son was the one who dropped it off. I did not argue. I paid it and will never step foot in this Firestone again, and I will be telling anyone who will listen (and showing the crazy receipt of nonsense) to them until my frustration subsides. I should have stuck with who I know and trust.Just a big NO. $1500.00 is bad enough but not even knowing what they did...and having the air not work at all now....ugh.Also this truck is serviced regularly so all of it was an expensive joke.Curiosity and cats, as they say.

Nice enough staff but if they tell you an hour and a half, it means three plus hours… for a tire change. They spent an hour and a half just to pull it into the garage and then perform a courtesy maintenance check I never asked for. To be fair, they did give me a discount for my time, they were very busy and the manager did apologize. I wrote the review prior to the resolution.

Great place! Friendly, helpful staff, competent work, fairly quick. I give them a 4 because they are a bit pushy about selling you stuff other than what you came in for. I always take their suggestions under advisement and contact my regular mechanic instead. But aside from that, they are great, and the location is super convenient to me.

On 7/3 I went to Firestone to have them check a tire for a air leak. TmI explained I was from out of town and what I thought the problem wS but I also told him that my wife wanted it check by taking tire off and checking for air bubbles but he didnt! All he did was shine his flashlight on the tire and run his hand over the tire. He said he didnt find no leak. He aired the tire up and put a cap on the valve. The next morning the tire was down 20 pounds. Went to a competitor of theirs and they plugged and patched the tire. They told me this Firestone store didnt have a good reputation in that area

I came here for a state inspection and it took 2 hours and 47 minutes. No updates from the people working there not even an apology for taking so long.When my car was finally ready, no one even told me but thankfully I looked out the window and saw it parked.

Fantastic customer service! Had an unexpected flat after driving from out of state and needed an urgent replacement. They didn’t push me into buying things I didn’t need/want and offered genuine advice on car maintenance. Everything was sorted out very quickly and they offered me a fair deal!

Sitting in your shop on hour three (had an appt and was told one hour) for a simple oil change, listening to all your employees verbally make fun of all your customers calling in asking if their cars are ready was not a cute look. I only come here because it’s the only place downtown my company vehicle can be serviced. Booooo.

How can you have a quote about honesty on your wall and then try to charge me $40 for the warranty which I’d already declined, then $100 for an alignment OF A SINGLE WHEEL THAT WAS OUT BY ONE TENTH OF A DEGREE?! Shady business reps. I asked about your alignment tolerances and was told I wouldn’t be charged for anything that was within those tolerances, but so much for accountability. Just rake in as much cash as possible, right? Shameful.

Be careful going to this store. Hard to park because so many homeless people in the parking lot. As we walked in my husband waved and said Hi to the homeless man sitting against the front of the door, who then jumped up and put his fist in my husbands face, threatening his life verbally and loudly. Meanwhile the woman at the counter watched and proceeded to tell us leave the homeless guy alone he wont actually hurt you, as if this is normal every day event here.As far as their tire service goes, they put the wrong tires on our rims and had to redo them. They were suppose to put towing tires on and put on much cheaper, lower weight tires that would have been catastrophic to tow our RV with if we had not noticed before paying.

Firestone on Patton was extremely helpful and courteous when I had an emergency tire issue just minutes before they closed on Sunday. They got me in at the very last second after another tire place said they couldn’t help me. Dominick was very patient and understanding. He really saved the day.

Very friendly and professional. My Buicks break lines broke on the Blue Ridge Parkway and we managed to get it to the location to fix. We had both front lines fixed in my rusty 06, $620 for both. They drove it around the block to make sure the back lines were okay. They suggested fixing but we couldnt at the time. My car is working great and very friendly staff. We were from out of town and had bags we wouldnt have to carry around town we were able to get those into a safe location until we got back. Everything worked out great, we brought it in late before they closed Saturday they had it fixed by Sunday afternoon for us. Thank God they are open Sundays! Only place in town!!! Thank you gentlemen and lovely lady at the front desk. We appreciate you!

Seriously heed the warnings of these 1 star reviews. I went in to get my coolant flushed, but the guy working the counter told me there was no problem with it. Coolant is supposed to be a bright color, and he said it was ok that mine was dark brown. They ended up looking for leaks in a completely separate spot that I didnt ask for before telling me we needed to do the flush that I came in for in the first place!Throughout the whole thing they misquoted the prices as well, continually raising what I would be paying every time they came out to talk to me. Even after that, I ended up paying double what they said it would cost because of the labor I specifically didnt ask for. I wish to God I paid attention to some of the other reviewers warnings, dont make the same mistake I did.

I very rarely leave a review, but these days generosity, honesty & integrity stand out like gems. Twice in the past year I stopped by this Firestone to get my car serviced. Both times I was attended to immediately, and both times told that I didn’t need the full service that someone else told me I needed. Plus, each time the Firestone attendant explained what was going on thoroughly & offered free-of-charge service, ie: putting air in my tires & tweaking something under the hood. And know that I’m not some ‘pretty lady’ who gets random favors. They’re just genuine good folks doing good work here....who have twice earned my trust. Thanks for being honest & doing biz right. May it come back to you many-fold. Oh, and you now have a loyal customer :)

We stopped here after noticing a tire leak immediately after a flat tire was replaced. They did way more than we expected in figuring out the problem and fixing it. It was also quick, considering we had no appointment and had to drive 6 hours that night to get home from our road trip. The worker at the desk was friendly.

This place is great! I was traveling and broke my truck, they worked to get it in right away and give me a diagnosis. Had to wait a few days to get the parts in, but they communicated with me and got it done as soon as they could! The alignment on it is way better than the last place I went and it rides awesome now!!! The mechanic was extremely helpful, patient and answered all my question!! The folks at the desk were very pleasant and helpful as well. Would highly recommend!!!

This place is an absolute rip off. told me repairs for my breaks would be 850$ took it to another place, told me it was 150$ and nothing as serious was wrong. i would NOT suggest this place to anyone. they just want your money

Open Sunday. Excellent customer service. They make a point of getting people back on the road quickly-especially if you are on a trip. They gave me quote on tires but didnt pressure me at all. I will be shopping for my new tires here. Highly recommend this service center.

A flat tire with cut side wall put an end to my daughters road trip in Asheville half a mile from Patton Ave. Firestone and 2.5 hours from home this week. Closing time less than an hour away and no hotel. Patton Ave Firestone installed an excellent match to the recently replaced Coopers on the other three wheels, rotated at no charge and had her on her way at a very reasonable cost. Five star service. Weve had a good experience here over the past couple of years. We come for oil changes, routine maintenance, and tires. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonable. They always answer our questions and seem honest. The location is convenient and they have gotten work done for us in reasonable time-frames.

Have had work done at this location back when it was Expert Tier. Its the only place Id trust to work on any of vehicles. They have fixed and done the job correctly the 1st time and no need to go back for a problem that wasnt fixed the 1st time. Staff is very professional and friendly! I do like their lifetime wheel alignment they offer! Its worth the cost! I would recommend this place to anyone needing wheel alignments or any work needed to be done on their vehicles.

They didnt start working on my car until over an hour after the appt time and then offered to replace my decent but probably worn wiper blades for new $30 ones which turned out to be the worst quality wiper blades ever. The wiper blades scratched my windshield and nearly caused an accident since they literally broke off while I was driving in the rain on the highway the next day. It was my fault I didnt check the blades before I left the shop because as soon as I turned them on they were very obviously already broken. Never coming back to this place again.

After spending over $1,200 on a new set of tires and lifetime alignment it’s a shame that I have to continue dealing with this company for my, what should be simple and hassle free, tire issues. However it just never turns out this way. To get the tire rotation and alignment that I paid for with my purchase is never an easy, smooth, or in any fashion process of good time management. In fact every time I enter this building I get the uneasy feeling that somehow I will have to leave disappointed and without service. It’s a shame, frustrating, and without a doubt annoying that I have to experience this sense of worry and unease over and over as I am someone who takes care of his vehicle. Please do yourself a favor and purchase your tires and alignments from a reputable tire shop. Unfortunately this shop should fall under this category but I have to disagree as my experience shows. Maybe it’s their management that needs a shake up. But until something changes there are too many other options to have to deal with this company. They fall short and I would not recommend!

Called about a tire alignment. The guy on the phone was slurring his words and could directly answer the questions I was asking him.

Was driving from Bragg to Campbell and my brake light came on, and I decided my tiresLooked low. Originally stopped at the Tunnel Rd location but they said it’d be almost two hours just for them to check the air pressure. I drove to this location instead and they were super friendly, and it took about half an hour total to put air in my tires and change the brake light. Very pleased.

Stephanie is awesome at the desk. Extremely knowledgeable and courteous staff. They do a great job and get things done right, and on time. This is the only place I go for my car maintenance and repairs.

I have taken just about every type of vehicle you could imagine into a firestone over the years and service has always been excellent. This particular location however takes the cake. The service is fast, reliable, high quality and bereft of the nickel and dime schemes commonly found elsewhere. These guys are so good I dont even call ahead anymore I just show up. They had me in and out today in less than 30 minutes for a job another local shop couldnt even do.

I was well taken care of here. I explained I was on a budget and the manager helped me figure out what was best for my car in my price range. Didnt have to wait too long for the services, but the waiting room was comfy anyway. All the services were thoroughly explained to me and overall I felt very welcome. Couple weeks later and Im still very happy and so is my car. Will be back.

I bought tires from Firestone in downtown Asheville a few years ago because my wife said it was the best place in town. Boy was she right! Twice I have blown a tire and my tire was fixable and so it was fixed for free. They also provide free tire rotation and they check a bunch of other things under the hood at no cost when you go in. The staff is nice and although they are busy sometimes, so you have to wait an hour or two, you can get same day service and they have a fairly comfortable waiting area. I am super grateful for all of their help and that they dont mind how old and special needs my car is. Thanks so much to the Firestone team!

Ive been coming here since it was Expert tire, and maybe for that reason I like this place more than others. As far as quality and service goes this Firestone is great! Much better than the one I went to on base where I was stationed. I did however have an extremely long wait the other day here for just an oil change I probably sat in their seated area for an hour and a half, but that was definitely an isolated moment here for me. If they told you each time roughly how long the wait would be, Id have given 5 stars but its always a surprise with them.

I went in on Sunday due to an emergency while traveling. I purchased a brand new tire. I was told it would take about hour and half. I left walking for about 2 hours and 20 minutes. Came back my car still wasn’t touched. Once they saw me coming in the door they instantly got my keys and took my car to be worked on. I felt like they totally forgot about me !

Absolutely fantastic, thorough, and honest service. My Mustang needed a new battery and a new alternator, and they worked really hard to ensure that my car would run great, did above and beyond what I was hoping for! They were up front about costs, showed and explained the tests they ran, and most importantly--they fixed my car. Real honest, hard working guys here. I will definitely be going back. My family was on vacation and headed to Georgia for Spring Break. We blew a tire at about 3:00AM. Talk about a nightmare scenario! We looked for tire places nearby and we found Firestone. The store opened at 7:00AM and we were promptly taken care of by the staff. They had our tire replaced in about 20 minutes and we were back on the road. They were extremely friendly and all that you could ask for from a service provider. In a situation they could have taken advantage of us, the price was more than reasonable! Thank you does not express the level of gratitude we have for these kind folks.

Recently relocated to Asheville and work downtown. I was looking for a place to drop my car off while I was at work to get serviced. I tried Firestone and was so pleased with their performance that I am going to stick with them! I have had both of our cars serviced there now and they are very professional. Ask for Matt and he will take great care of you! You can count on it. Going back for tires in the fall, they just make it easy.

I only get oil change here. 5 stars all the way!

Ive always experienced great customer service until today. I made an appointment because I was told I would get in and out quickly. The lady informed me that it would be 20 minutes before they could get me in. I asked whats the purpose of an appointment, she says if you had a doctors appointment you wouldnt go right back. Lady Im not at a doctors appointment!

I had an odd request for a couple tires which Rob had to have delivered from another nearby store, then I asked him to put 1 new one on the LR, move that slightly-used but otherwise perfect tire to the RR which had the dry-rotted spare on it, and put the 2nd new tire in the back of my truck as my aluminum wheel was back home in Charlotte so Id have to carry the other new one home and take it and my wheel to another Firestone to have it mounted. He did all of this plus balance my front tires and do a courtesy check in about one hour. Super friendly and helpful. This would be my go-to shop if I lived nearby.

Great service - Chris and Matt took the time to answer my questions regarding the repairs and got the work done very efficiently. They also honored their original estimate; in fact, the final bill was just a bit lower than Id expected. Highly recommend these guys.

Ive been buying my tires here for the past 9 years. They won my business the first time I came in and they shared my enthusiasm for tires. Staff are always knowledgeable and friendly. The store is very busy so its best to make an appointment.

I went here last week to have my A/C serviced because it wasn’t working once the warmer weather started setting it. Was told that they found the leak and had it fixed. After spending about 4.5 hours and around $300 for the work to be done the A/C was working great. 2 days later it stopped working again, and upon further inspection found that the leak had not been fixed and none of the parts they said they replaced had been replaced. I would not recommend Firestone to anyone, I would even trust them to vacuum my car!!

Highly recommend this shop very professional staff and treat customers like people.

Im from out of town. I was having brake issues and it was Sunday. Not much I could find open. I called and Matt said he would try to work me in. He did! It was very busy and he still got to me. I appreciate that. Not only that but they fixed my issue and got me on the road home.I also watched him treat every customer the same way, like they were top priority. If I can find another Firestone like this one, Id gladly go back.

I used to go here for minor repairs out of convenience and to not bother my regular mechanic with simple little things even though it’s going to be more expensive to have firestone do it(bulb change, inspection, tire rotation, etc). But hey, they’re open on the weekends when I’m not working and neither are my regular guys. Today my gf dropped her car off for an inspection, and when she came back after work to pick it up she was charged $115 for a failed inspection. They didn’t provide any service beyond that. Nothing was fixed. They used a code reader to determine her cat needed to be replaced (free at a dozen other places I could practically throw a stone at from their garage). The car was likely on the lift for 15 minutes. Idk- kind of reeks of bs to me. Finally, I have good reason to stick with my local repair shops for everything .

Traveling though Asheville and 1 of my tires had separated. It was Labor Day and they were the only ones open. I go in to buy 1 tire. They refused to sell me 1 tire bc my other tires had 6/32 tread depth. NC law says 2/32 is the minimum to be legal. So here I am on the way home to Tennessee with no tire and the option of leaving the only place open with nothing or 4 new tires. Way to go staff. Scamming customers because of their situation.

For the second (and last) time, I was completely and totally price gouged by the staff at the Patton Avenue location in Asheville, North Carolina. This second time, I was told that my brake pads were totally shot and that my brake rotors were not salvageable, although I was told the complete opposite by another company hours later. I was told that my charge would be in excess of $400 for new brake pads and rotors, while competitor quotes were approximately $200 or less. I feel that this location of Firestone continues to take advantage of their customers because they know that they can, price gouging them and charging them well above the average rate when they are at their lowest. I will not return to Firestone again and will actively share my poor experience there throughout my networks, especially as this business continues to take advantage of their customers.

Theyre friendly and seemed to have a better understanding of AC work than other shops I called. Actually used the proper terms, which makes a difference.

Nice people that work there, got tires put on all around my car. Really appreciate how well they treated me.. Recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic!! Sunday 4pm, got a bolt in our tire on the interstate following someone elses accident. Called this Firestone. John let me know they could patch me up before they close. I got there, they wrote my ticket right up. We were back on the road in 45 minutes total time! Super friendly, fast, and Ill definitely recommend these guys for anyone! Einstein says thanks too!

Not sure where that person buys spark plugs for $5, but Id sure like to know because I havent bought a spark plug I can remember that was less than $8, and generally they push $10 a pop at any major auto parts house regardless of make or model. The fact that Firestone ate the cost of three of the plugs would have made me a little more gracious about rating their service. Maybe the fact shes replacing spark plugs one at a time and paying $5 for them is why shes breaking down in the first place. 🤔

Come here for my inspections. Theyve always gotten me right in and Ive never had any problems.

Was not impressed, while waiting long long time for short repair, I heard many, almost every,, customer had an issue. So sunny inside, its is uncomfortable even waiting, and every conversation can be heard... I dont like to be asked to give to any organization. Mainly, though I noticed it wasnt smooth .. and the customers have to hear it all.

Me and a friend were visiting Asheville 3 weeks ago. We had a rental car that had a nail in it. We needed to get it taken care of. The rental company was no help but Matt got us in and taken care of quickly. He was very patient with us waiting while we tried to contact the rental place. His service was amazing. Thanks Matt!!!

Had 10/21 appt. this Sunday for 9:00 a.m. Clearly over-booked in this store and spent 4, yes, you heard me right.....4 hours getting 4 tires rotated and balanced, front end alignment and oil change. Clearly their appt. schedule needs re-vamping as this is well in excess of what this service should have taken. Unfortunate customer experience and definitely not a brand builder.

I have a 1986 BMW 325 and these were the only folks in town who had the proper equipment to do a front end alignment. Although the first pass did not resolve the issue, they were great about having me come back in and they figured out the problem was one of the front tires which they rotated to the back free of charge. The problem is fixed and I had nothing but a positive experience. Everyone working there is very kind and friendly and I felt like my car was being taken care of by family.

I went to Firestone because my car was overheating. They fixed it and about a week later it started overheating again. They fixed it another time and charged me again because it was overheating for a different reason than what they originally fixed. About a month later, it started overheating again so I took it to the Firestone in Greensboro, NC but they couldnt find a reason. My car just overheated again last week. I took it to Exxon and they were able to figure out what was wrong with it in 30 minutes. Not only had Firestone not replaced my head gasket correctly, so my car was leaking coolant, but they missed THREE TIMES that my water pump needed to be replaced. I ended up paying Firestone almost $600 for them to not fix what was wrong with my car. Highly disappointed. Please do not go to Firestone if you actually want your car fixed.

I was in Asheville for the day, and really needed to get back to Charlotte. I had a front driver‘s tire that was showing metal threads. Car was badly out of line, and the associate that helped me highly recommended I get the passenger front tire as well because it was just about as bad as the tire that was flat with the metal threads showing. Although I really did not want to spend the money that day, I knew I needed a front in alignment badly, and she told me if I did not go ahead and replace both tires I was going to do more damage to my vehicle. SHE CARED ABOUT MY SAFETY!!! She was not only able to accommodate me in Price, she also suggested the road hazard warranty (will be a BIG HELP later down the road!) and this was on a SUNDAY when NO ONE was open to help me. I came in 30 minutes before closing time, and not only did I get two very good FIREHAWK tires- I also got a front end alignment, parts labor etc. for $370 !!! TOTAL DIFFERENCE in the way my car drove, from the second I pulled out of the parking lot!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FIRESTONE in ASHEVILLE... Patton Ave location!!!!! In fact, I went ahead and found the closest FIRESTONE stores to both my home and my work place in Charlotte, and added those contacts to my phone!!!! BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

Quick response to all problems. Most issues resolved. Price of labor a little high. Replacement parts not to bad, but still a little high.

Really good guys who want to do right by their customers.

The customer service from the service manager Tony I believe is his name was outstanding. Also, the lady at the front counter Stephanie I believe is her name was very friendly and made you feel welcome in the store.

Im hoping the management has changed since the other reviews Ive read as my experience so far has been quite good. Ive had an alignment and new tires put on. I also went in for an inspection and was told I may not actually need one to register my car since I just moved to NC. I postponed my inspection, did some research, and discovered it was true and saved myself some cash.Prices can be a bit high, but the lifetime wheel alignment(at any firestone) for about twice the cost of a single alignment is pretty nice.

Worst experience ever,,,bought a new truck last year had tires rotated 2 times and they only have 11,000 miles on them and they said it wasnt a factory defect??????? Hhmmm.the guy came out and looked at the tires and then once in side on the phone with firestone,he said he measured the tread depth which is a lie and I called him put on it right there in front of everybody. I will never have firestone tires on anything again

Dont believe a word they say. First person who answered phone promised a 9-930 arrival woudl be met with a 1 hour wait. NOT true, i had no appt (because it was not made by 1st person) and soonest would be 5 hours. I asked to keep one newer tire, did not happen. Asked for new wipers, did not happen. They could be great, but they need to communicate!!!!

This place seriously overcharges for parts. I recently had a full front brake service done and could not believe how much I was charged for the calipers, rotors, and hoses. Either a 100% mark-up was put on the parts or they installed Mercedes-Benz quality parts on my 2003 Subaru. Unfortunately I did not have the luxury of time to shop around and had to just get the work done. But if youre the kind of person who enjoys spending $300 for a pair of calipers that should cost $150, $100 (!!!!) on two brake hoses that should cost about $40, and $190 on a pair of rotors that should cost $100, then this is the place for you.This is certainly the last time I will be going here, or to any Firestone.As for the 5-star reviews on here about them helping people fix their flat tires...its a tire shop first and foremost..thats kinda their job. Ive seen plenty of people stop to help fix flats on the side of the road to no applaud or 5-star google review.
