So thankful for the people here at All Souls!!They have taken amazing care of me and I am beyond grateful that I found them. I see my therapist regularly and she is very skilled at what she does. She provides amazing treatment for my psychiatric conditions. I wouldn’t be at the place I am in my healing process without their amazing help.

My experience with All Souls Counseling Center and my counselor Jack Hughes has been nothing but positive. What an amazing, caring group of professionals donating their time and their skills to improving the lives of folks who might otherwise be unable to receive the mental health care they need. I will be forever grateful for the insightful, compassionate and professional counseling I received there.

If I could give 9 stars I would. I came to Google reviews several years ago when I landed in Asheville and was put off by the one negative review. Now, in hindsight, I realize that I had decided nearly free counseling must be too good to be true. The people that work here, each and every one I came across, even in passing, were warm, caring souls that love what they do. Start with Pam, the Clinical Manager, and youll see what I mean. Dr. Kate Gregory, the psychiatrist is a rarity. Ive seen about a dozen in my lifetime for medication management, only two did I feel actually listened to my experiences. I felt so supported by Dr. Gregory and the two therapists that I saw there during a bout of recurrent PTSD and then a Lymphoma diagnosis and treatment. You can trust these people. And you can ask for a change of therapist if the availability or the style of one doesnt meet your needs. I really miss their loving care and support, but hold in my heart the absolute gift they were for a year in my life. If you are uninsured, dont hesitate to get the help that you need, its right there.

I was immediately turned away despite being uninsured and told I would need long term support which they couldnt provide. Having just moved here and tapering off of medications due to lack of resources, Im pretty sure even one session would have been better than nothing. Maybe they could clarify intake requirements and provide an alternative safety/support net. I have a friend who has gone here for years (no long-term huh?), but who knows how she got in.

I was a patient of Dan Mermins at All Souls Counseling Center. For the most part, I felt as though seeing him semi-regularly for almost two years was beneficial. However, I would only recommend Dan Mermin to those that have really light needs. He is a nice guy and may be helpful. In my very specific situation with him, I feel really betrayed and find it hard to find trust in a relationship with a therapist after seeing him. I have developed pretty severe PTSD since I last heard from Dan Mermin. Ironically, the person I sought help from is a major part of the onset of my PTSD. I can not go into details of what transpired between Dan and myself. All I can say is shame on you, Dan Mermin.
