We just had our lawn cut for the first time and it looks amazing. They blew the leaves off the decks and trimmed the edges of our yard. Looked so much better than if we had tried to do it ourselves. Blackwood landscaping does excellent work - a few years ago, I was eating at a nice restaurant in south Asheville where I was admiring the landscaping. The manager told me that Ted Blackwood was responsible. I immediately contacted Ted and hes been punctual, consistent, and doing quality work at my place since. Now Im looking to buy a rental property in downtown and Ted is the only person Id trust to do the lawn maintenance, some installation work, and to keep an eye on the property on the weeks Im not able to be there. Highly recommended. Oh, and its nice to actually work with a scrappy small business owner than with a big company bureaucracy.

Ted and his crew did a wonderful job on my property. Not only was the work exceptional, but also he is very communicative and responds to emails quickly, and was able to get me on the work queue pretty quickly so I didnt have to wait months for my property to be taken care of. I am 100% pleased, and will continue to use Blackwood for all my landscaping needs!

I contact Ted earlier in the day to inquire about the evils of poison ivy, and how to eradicate this vile beast of a plant. He told me hed come by and look at the issue as soon as he could. I expected it would be a couple of days later. A few hours later, Ted contacted me, and said he was in the area and would come by in a few minutes. I was delighted at the prompt response, and thought, Great! Now Ill be able to make an appointment to get this stuff out of here.Ted came and took a look, then to my great surprise said, I can handle this right now. Itll only take me a few minutes. And he did! He didnt even charge me an arm and a leg, but rather was quite reasonable in his pricing.Obviously Im thrilled by his customer service, and his work.

They got right to work & our yard was looking great in just a few hours. Weve used other companies in the past & I have to say that Blackwood Landscaping far surpassed our expectations. I have never hired a landscaping company before....thinking I can do everything myself...but alas I cant so I hired Blackwood Landscaping to do some yard maintence..... and let me tell you they are AMAZING! Blackwood did a very nice job with lawn maintenance services for 3 years (fertilizer, seeding, aeration, weed control and adding lyme.) My yard looked the best in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, he told me in the spring that he stopped serving my neighborhood in central Asheville which was disappointing as I was looking to turn over mowing to him too. It’s been hard to find someone as experienced.

Blackwood landscaping restored order to our overgrown yard for a reasonable price. Furthermore, Ted was easy to get a hold of, reliable, and wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with the work. He answered my questions, followed through on my requests, and worked hard to get the job done.

Ted and Adam pulled out a huge hedge in my front yard and did a very good job of removing it and cleaning up afterwards so my yard looks ever so much better. I would recommend them to anyone, they were very pleasant to deal with and their price was very fair.

WOW............now thats a landscaping company!!!!. They did exactly what I wanted to a T. I would recommend this company to anyone,and will continue to use them for new landscaping....they cleaned up their mess as they went along.Awesome job guys.

Unfortunately, they failed to service our property & tried to charge us. Our lawn looks horrible. We left messages & got one call back days after our messages. They claimed to have blown leaves & cut our lawn but we know that is not true due to our home having a locked gate. Not trustworthy.
