I hired this company because my husband was terminally ill and required a lot of care. I couldnt care him and take care of the house. It soon became clear as to why they require you to sign a year long contract. Its the only way for them to get repeat business. The quality of their work varied greatly. One third was great, one third was mediocre, one third was bad. I wasnt going to sit home on another day for them to come out again. Seldom did they call to inform me of the crews arrival as I had requested. I also asked for the same people to come every month. I didnt want to explain how I wanted things done over and over. That didnt happen either. Jennifer hardly ever returned my calls. I paid $145.00 a clean. I do not recommend this company.

I contacted Designer Maids for a move out clean before we sold our home. I was quoted $220-$270 for the clean. The girls were to arrive at 9, maybe they did but when I got there at 12:30 nothing had been done because they were having issues with the cleaning the ceiling. The girls insisted that the dusting was resulting in popcorn ceiling coming off. The owner insisted that this was not dusting but due to cob webs and spider eggs. We have very tall ceilings so I never anticipated this being part of the clean. The girls told me that they wish they had been told that as they had been working on this since arrival and they were to be gone at 1. No one called to ask me about the ceiling issue but they did send a 3rd girl out to assist, which costs more money and again wasn’t discussed with me. Told them not to worry about ceilings. Left to go sign paperwork and returned to nothing being cleaned. I will attach pictures to the review. I contacted the owner who insisted the girls did the best they could for the house as it was in “pretty bad shape.” I sent pictures of areas missed and she offered to have the girls return to get a corner and a base board that was missed. We have copper pipes which results in a blue film if showers are not cleaned regularly. Those were not touched and she insisted that it was dye and their cleaners would not clean that out of a porcelain tub, which we didn’t even have porcelain. I was able to go the next day and cleaned the tub with no issues. I then found drawers had not been cleaned. Refrigerator hadn’t been cleaned as was promised in that appliances would be included. I emailed the owner and I told her that I did no feel as though I should pay for this service. She stated this was unreasonable and that the industry standard is to send the girls out to clean again. I told her that was not possible as i had done the work at this point and we closed on the house the following day. There was no response from her following that but she charged my card $405. This is ridiculous! I have called the credit card company to dispute. DO NOT HIRE!

I have been a customer with Designer Maid for several years. I get bi-weekly cleanings. All had been going well until my Dyson vacuum cleaner was used without permission(on multiple occasions) and damaged by one of the workers. I asked that the vacuum be replaced or repaired, but the owner opted to believe that the employee had not used it. She instead suggested that I clean the filter. I cant have my belongings being damaged and not repaired or replaced by the company that is responsible. For this reason, I would not recommend this service.

The affiliation Designer Maid was giving is astounding.I really require a cleaning affiliation seven days back since I got especially included and dont have adequate centrality to clean the house. Basic thing I called Designer Maid.At first I was hesitant to call a cleaning relationship to go deeply of the issue. I on a very basic level dont know whether I can trust in the house to them. Profitable thing I called Designer Maid. The partnership was dazzling. The house was cleaned totally. Each edge of the house was sparkling. I cant trust in it.I didnt encounter have a go at sorting out a cleaning to Designer Maid. It was clear peasy. Got a procedure toward the faultlessness of the call. That quick I got my logbook. The getting partner was regardless of obliging and kind that is the reason the system gone smooth and rational. Will endorse Designer Maid to my mates. Keep it up.

I have used Designer Maid for about 10 years. They are always on time, courteous, and hard working. I had an individual cleaning for me prior to Designer Maid and there was always drama...car wont start, child sick, going on vacation...and it seemed to always happen when I was going to be having a house load of company! Even though Im retired now, I would much rather be on the golf course and leave the cleaning to the professionals. I would recommend Designer Maid without reservation. This is an update to my initial 5-star review. After using Designer Maids for a number of years, the business was sold and the service completely changed. I have since changed to another company and would no longer recommend Designer Maids.

Beware of this business, highly unprofessional and deceptive business practices. Received an estimate of $45.00/hr for a move out cleaning service for 2 people, upon which we agreed. The 2 cleaners showed up 2 hrs. late for their appt., stayed between the hours of 2:20 and 6:10 p.m., and did not leave an invoice of services or receipt. when they left. The following day the owner, Michael Wells, calls us with a total bill of $546.00 for the 4 hours of service provided, stating that 2 additional cleaners showed up later during the appointment. When my husband requested an explanation of services provided for the outrageous price totaling $137.00/hour, none was given. We were never informed of an estimated rate that went from 45/hr to 137/hr . We were never made aware of the situation of additional cleaners having showed up at this cost. The cleaning job itself was mediocre at best, as a walk-through next morning included a kitchen floor that was not cleaned and markings on the wall, and many other minor details missed not expected of a professional cleaning service. The worst part of this experience was the customer service. When my husband requested an explanation for the bill of $546.00 for 4 hours of work detailed (or in the owners words,13 man hours from 2:10 to 6:10 for 4 cleaners, 2 of whom showed up later in the day without our knowledge or consent), as it is MORE THAN DOUBLE the market price of a move-out cleaning service, the owners of Designer Maid proceeded with threats and insults in an aggressive manner; questioned us why we called a cleaning service, called our house dirty, and accused us of wanting freebies, when we were not informed nor agreed to a cleaning crew of 4 people at the cost of $137 per hour. Evasive response, false accusations (my husband never accused anyone of taking smoke breaks, but merely inquired a detailed explanation for the $546.00 cost of cleaning an empty, 1700 sq. ft. 3 bedroom house during a 4 hour time span), and repeated harassment from the owner through out many phone calls and e-mails.

Very nice people for the most part, but this was a nightmare. To be fair, this all happened in 2017, so it isnt impossible that things have since turned around there. I had two appointments with this company, two seperate workers came out. The first one left in the middle of the cleaning while I was out getting her and myself some lunch (itd be rude to eat in front of her without offering something). I called and inquired and they sent someone else out. I was given maybe too much back information about this maids personal life, but that is her issue to take up with the company. I half expected them to try to bill me for the very little work that was done, so I was just happy that there was no conflict. My complaint begins with the second worker. We had just started moving in and had random items here and there around the house. I moved over mostly the valuable items first. We were trying to keep it somewhat empty until the house was cleaned, which was a headache because we were also trying to get everything out before our apartment lease ended. The second woman came out and did a much better job. A few days later I noticed some gold jewelry and some designer sunglasses had disappeared. I called my husband and he remembered them being in the bedroom, as did I. I spoke to someone at the company who basically told me that it definitely wasnt them, and to go ahead and call the police because they didnt want to hear about it. I wasnt going to do this.. I wasnt 100% that the items wouldnt turn up as boxes were unloaded (2 years later, everything unpacked long ago - still gone). The whole demeanor was very rude, and Im not an abrasive person so it wasnt needed. It even got to the point of being insulted about how the first maid complained that I locked my cat up for days in a disgusting bathroom...? I put my cat in a bathroom because I didnt want her to get scared of the cleaning lady (she is older and a bit skiddish around strangers), she was in there for maybe 5 hours tops with a litter box and food/water. I even told the first woman not to clean that bathroom specifically for the reason that the cat was in there, so Im still not sure why she even went in there. :/ The woman I spoke to even suggested that my husband had stolen the items. Overall not the best.. but by the second woman, regardless of the missing items, the house was considerably cleaner than it had started. (A few cupboards were missed, but they were pretty high up).

We had a confirmed schedule for our first cleaning twice and the lady never showed up! My spouse is disabled and waited around both times..no call no show. I travel for my job and come home on weekends is my reason for wanting the service. Very unprofessional and disrespectful! After the first no show an email was sent apologizing saying she sent out notifications of unavailability but ours just happened to get missed...haven’t heard any excuse as to why yesterday didn’t happen 🤔

As a follow up to the owner’s response regarding our move out clean, I would like to present dates that all of this occurred since she insist that I took days to respond. I called Designer Maid’s on Saturday July 27th. I scheduled the cleaning for July 30th as our home closed on August 1st. I emailed her back and forth several times on the 30th after discovering things had not been cleaned. She advised me that she would talk to her employees the next morning (July 31st) and get back to me. On the 31st she emailed me and told me she would send the girls back to clean a baseboard and the corner of a tile floor that they missed. She asked to have the girls return on Thursday 8/1 or Friday 8/2. Considering there was much more to be done I was already cleaning at the property as the closing was scheduled for 8/1. After sending more pictures of the tub and drawers to her, that reiterated that things had no been cleaned, I stated that I should not be charged for this service as the work had not been done. She replied that I was unreasonable and that again she would send the girls back out. We were not going to be able to access the home after Wednesday night so this was going to be impossible. As for the “filth” of the home, every home is dirty after moving out, which is why I hired someone to clean the property. I will attach photos showing that the property was not completely filthy as described. So the entire experience after the appointment was scheduled occurred from 7/30-8/1. So I did not take days to reply to any emails as suggested. All emails and pictures have been submitted to chase to dispute the charges.

Beware unscrupulous billing practices. They billed me $45/hr for 13 man-hours, to clean my empty 3BR house after I moved out. On what planet does it take 13 hours to clean an empty unfurnished 3-bedroom house? When probed on this question repeatedly, the owner became evasive, and quite defensive. In lieu of a real explanation, I asked for a theoretical accounting of how the work might have taken 13 hours. The response was, Im not having this conversation. It is not unreasonable to ask for an accounting of services provided when being billed an extraordinary fee for a service. As for the service, it was satisfactory, although not exemplary. After showing up 2 hours late without notifying me, I met 2 cleaners, who stayed for 4 hours. Apparently, there were 2 more cleaners who arrived in my absence. I returned in the evening and it seemed no attempt was made to clean the kitchen floor or any of the interior walls. A closet shelf was dislodged from the wall and no attempt was made to reattach it. These arent major problems, but the next day, I was more than a little surprised at the $546 invoice. Designer Maid should have contacted me to let me know they were sending an additional 2 people to clean the horrible filth I apparently live in.I was overcharged quite an insane price for cleaning an empty house, threatened with court when I asked for an explanation, and pre-emptively accused of blackmail, right here on this site, for daring to imply that online reviews exist as a recourse for bullied customers.
