I worked with Morris Funeral and Cremation Care in Asheville during a very difficult time—the sudden and unexpected death of my 69 year old husband. They were patient with me, and kind, and supportive in so much more than the practical matters. I am comfortable with them and will be doing my own pre-planning with them.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I did not deal with Morris Funeral and Cremation Care in-person. My brother who lives near Asheville made the arrangements for the cremation of my mothers body after she died of Covid-19 at age 93, and I handled the payment for the services provided remotely from my home in Georgia. Nevertheless, I found Morris Funeral and Cremation Care to be both prompt and easy to deal with in the interactions I had with them. They were very good in providing clear billing documentation and notarized death certificates for me, too.

The people at MFH guided us through the planning and preparing for our end of life arrangements and made a delicate process very easy and stress free. We are certain that our decision to select Morris to guide us through this process was the right one.

At a difficult time, there is no funeral home or staff that could be more attentive, professional, thoughtful, responsive and sensitive. Teri and the entire staff at Morris were and are outstanding. They greatly eased and alleviated a difficult process.

The staff at Morris is SO professional, so kind and caring, and really go above and beyond to help you deal with all of the details after a loved one passes, that I cannot recommend them highly enough! We lost our mom without having made prior arrangements with a funeral home, but when we contacted the staff at Morris, they responded quickly and with great care. We were working on a short time frame to have a memorial with family who had to go back out of state, and the Morris staff was able to get everything in order quickly and efficiently. So very grateful!

Morris has assisted my family with two passings and cremations in the last three years, and I dont believe the experience could have been better. When we called Morris @ 1:00am in the morning, and they were @ the hospital and ready within an hour and a half, I was amazed and really grateful. Also, because we attended her cremation on-site, we knew with 100% certainty that ashes we received would be ours. Believe it or not, this was an issue (mass cremations) with a family member 40 years ago. I also cant say enough about their staff, they are accommodating and patient.

One in a MillionFuneral preparation and the execution of those services will be some of the most difficult, emotion filled times of one’s life. Having Gus Morris and Kevin Mukosiej and the rest of the Morris Funeral Home team at the ready to guide, comfort and make the entire process seamless and loving was a blessing. We needed to make some very difficult and monumental changes to my father’s funeral the morning of, and if not for the years of experience, dedication and sincere care Kevin and his team provided, we would never have been able to accomplished our changes. Kevin was a true professional and when we arrived at the funeral home, after redirecting 150 people and completely changing the service arrangements at the last minute, the owner, Gus Morris, was waiting himself to greet our car and personally hold our hands and comfort our hearts. You will never find another dedicated team such as you will find at Morris Funeral Home. They are all truly one in a million!!

Steve and Lisa were just absolutely wonderful to work with during a very sad and stressful time. My mother passed away suddenly and they were professional, knowledgeable and kind in guiding us comfortably through the cremation process. We will never forget their honesty, kindness and responsiveness and would highly recommend them for any funeral service.

Good service when my wife passed away. However, for a very basic cremation with price a concern one might shop around. Several other services in town were under $1000 for basic pick-up and cremation with Morris at $4,420. Service a 4.5. Price a 1.

At a time when our family needed the most support, Morris Funeral Home came through in the most magnificent way. We had to plan services from out-of-state and not only did they make themselves available to us at all hours, but their efforts on our behalf spoke of true compassion. Our arrangements handled with the greatest attention to detail and their kindness was ever-present. Never for a moment did I hesitate to reach out. Each of my questions, concerns and needs were met, often before I could even articulate them. We had an instant rapport and familiarity. No one ever wants to be in the situation where you have to bury a loved one. We have worked with Morris for each of our parents burials and recently for my fathers headstone unveiling. At every turn, Morris was by our side. They are the absolute best. 5+ stars.

The Morris Funeral Home staff are incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. My mother passed away earlier this year. She had lived in western North Carolina for 25 years before we moved her to southern California to be close. She specified the church, funeral home and burial plot in NC where she wanted her final resting place to be. As directed we called the Morris Family funeral home and spoke with Duane, Lisa and Steve. We all know that no one prepares adequately for this event much less having to get my mom across the country. The folks at Morris were awesome!They coordinated with a funeral home here in CA, shipped the body back to NC, handled all the paperwork for both states, arranged the church service, the obituary and the burial....all in the background - no annoying requests to us, the family. All this while presenting a calming and supportive bedside manner.It helped us tremendously in dealing with family and transportation issues.My family and I are extremely appreciative of the knowledge, efficiency and CARING that Duane, Lisa and Steve and all the Morris Family staff provided our family during this difficult time.
