Incredible buying experience! We had a good honest conversation about our goals in shopping, our limits we wanted to stay within, and a pretty straightforward buying experience. Didn’t feel like we had to haggle too much and everyone was very respectful of our boundaries (we didn’t feel forced into anything).Edit: we have also have had our car serviced here since we bought it.

Horrible experience with the “supervisor” Wayne at the non-express service shop. I’ve been a loyal customer since purchasing my vehicle here 3 years ago and then by having all my work done here but never again. All shop men refused to give me Wayne’s last name to make a proper report and when I asked to speak to a GM or anyone to hear my complaint I was not given any contact information just the name of the owners. “Wayne” laughed in my face, rolled his eyes at me, and said he had never “heard of progressive agents in Asheville, and offered ZERO solutions nor help. You can do better

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who go the extra mile to serve those who serve the community, such as teachers and first responders.The online sales manager really helped me to find the exact car I was looking for and advocated for me to the regional manager to help get the vehicle on my terms and within my budget. The sales building is modern with an attractive design. If I could rate this dealership with zero stars, I would. I was sold a car that was missing a fastener to the back bumper. I was told that nothing was wrong with the car and they had done a 100 + point check. I was going down the interstate and the back bumper of my car from Fred Anderson Toyota of Asheville flies off and hits the car behind me. I came in devastated by the fact that my new car, that I thought would last me through school, had already messed up. I was refused any help in getting it fixed because according to the GSM it was “no longer their responsibility”. EVEN THOUGH THEY SOLD ME A CAR WITH A NEGATIVE PRE EXISTING CONDITION. I had only had the vehicle for three days and this happens. I took it to a mechanic and a body shop and they confirmed that I was not at fault and that the dealer had missed a fastener. However after getting proof, asking nicely twice, and showing them how much it would cost to repair, They told us “you have your story and we have ours.” DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. They accused me of getting into an accident and causing the bumper to fall off even when I had professionals prove I didn’t.

Less than thrilled with my recent experience here. When all the lights on my dashboard lit up, I brought it to Toyota for service because I recall the service being excellent and reliable. The initial customer service on the phone started out great, but slowly got worse. They recommended about $2k worth of general maintenance work, even though all I really needed at the time was an oxygen sensor replacement (its a dealer service department - I could have expected as much). I agreed to the sensor replacement, fine! Not fine was the additional $80 diagnostic fee I was not informed of, nor agreed to until I saw it on my bill. On top of that, I generally felt like all of Byrons customer service disappeared when he heard I was not signing up for all the extra stuff. Meehh... again, dealer service department...

There was very little wiggle room for negotiating and available cars. Much of that is not on the dealer due to the car shortage but it weighed on the whole process for sure. It would’ve been nice if they were more proactive with finding other options or offering other ideas or seeing what may be coming in in the next few weeks but still wasn’t a bad experience. The salesman was really helpful and did a lot but again the shortage and current prices made the whole ordeal a bit rough. At the end of the day I’m super happy with the car I ended up going with but it was a bit more than I wanted to pay. Looking forward to having my mechanic look at it and tell me it looks super clean and well maintained and if it somehow turns out not to then I hope the dealer can work with me again finding a solution.

Terrible customer service. I felt like the sales man judged me before he even spoke to me. Told me that my Rav4 was a cheap car. Spent a total of 10mins in there. I have bought 4 Toyotas in my lifetime and Fred Anderson just lost my business. Apparently you need to roll up in a better car than what they sell. 🤷‍♀️Proud owner of a 2013 Toyota Rav4!

I had a pretty good experience until I started negotiating the price of the vehicle I wanted. As soon as I started asking questions about the price of the car the salesman became very rude. When I asked for a breakdown of the price and what had been done to the car since arriving at the dealership he became increasingly agitated even though I was being calm and polite. When he stood up and walked off I left. It really sucks because I was prepared to by a car today and the car I currently own is from the Fred Anderson dealership in Raleigh. Being treated so disrespectfully because you’re asking to see what you’re paying for for the second largest purchase most people will ever make is shocking. Would not recommend this place to other women, or to anyone who doesn’t plan on blindly buying a car without questioning what you’re being told.

We just purchased a 2015 Toyota Highlander from the used lot at Fred Anderson Toyota. The building was a Saturn dealership at one time. I purchased 3 vehicles from that Saturn dealership. This would be the fourth car from that building. I must say that it was the easiest and best car purchase process that my wife and I have ever had. If you need a person to see, go in and ask for Ethan. He was very knowledgeable and answered all questions we had. The first time we met him several months before purchasing, he came out, introduced himself and asked if we had any questions. He answered them and told us, he would give us time to look. He never pressured or pushed us at all. He gave us his number when we left that day and said if he could ever help, to let him know. I called him late on a Thursday evening after my wifes car had a major issue, he came in on his day off on Friday and helped us get into the car we found online.Feed Anderson Toyota, you have a great salesperson in Ethan, hang onto him!

Went in for 10,000 mile service Express check in and an appointment made this a very smooth step after verifying my information the service tech recommended checking the alignment, which I had wanted to have done already The service tech indicated they would be 90 minutes or less, which I figured meant at least 2 hours or maybe 3. At the 85 minute mark I heard my name being called that my vehicle was ready Yes it did need an alignment but now I can drive straight I was really impressed that they were thoughtful enough to park my truck right outside the door without asking as I am handicapped with a bad back and can’t walk any distance without sitting down Great Service experience at Fred Anderson Toyota of Asheville

Had a wonderful experience at Fred Anderson Toyota today. Bought 4 new tires, had then mounted and balanced by tech named Markus. As they were very busy when I got there, Markus went above and beyond keeping me updated and approximately how long wait would be. Hes a wonderful young man! And then theres Phillip, the service adviser who worked with me. He kept checking to see if I needed anything and even brought me a cup of water while I waited. Philip also deserves to be commended as he went above and beyond. Thanks to both Markus and Philip for making my experience wonderful. I highly recommend them!

The car buying experience itself was pretty straight forward. You get the usual upsell at financing. They seem to offer some nice maintenance perks after purchase. Salesman did call me a week or so later to check in.If you speak to the ladies on the phone for info be prepared to get a lot of calls. Even when explicitly told not to.

What a great place! Honest and dependable. I cant believe they sent me a video of my car in the shop. The video described (in detail) what exactly was wrong with my car. Never been serviced by a place that did that. I recently bought a car from these guys and let me tell you…these guys are the best! The guy who sold me my car (Steve) was such a cool guy. Very patient and knowledgeable. He made me feel very welcomed and helped me through buying a car (this was my first time). Steve answered all my questions and ensured they I was taken care of. Zack was great to work with as we picked out our vehicle. The time spent at the dealership completing the deal was less than some other experiences so that is a positive. The reason for the average rating was the arrogance of the finance officer (name intentionally omitted). He attempted to sell me points with a ridiculous interest rate and when I told him what I had recently paid for interest through Toyota Financial, he called me a liar. He was exceptionally rude and bad at his job. When it became apparent he was not going to be successful with selling me on a higher tier he came back with a rate a full 3 points lower. Bring your own financing if you buy from here.

The sales staff are very nice and helpful. The buying process is some what quick and easy, but the warranty department is to be desired. I bought a warranty with my 2014 Jeep. They told my wife and I that it covered everything front to back and top to bottom, including body and tires. Ive owned the Jeep for 6 months, Ive tried to get them to call me twice and neither time have they returned my phone calls. I replaced the tires, a light bar and done an oil change out of my pocket since they failed to call me back, now I am going to have to replace door pins. I went to confront them today on the warranty and they said that the warranty didnt cover tires or body. I got tired of arguing with them over it so I canceled the warranty before they could back pedal anymore on what the warranty didnt cover. I gave two stars for the nice and helpful sales staff.

First of all, “Express Service” is a joke. I would not call taking 2.5 hours to replace a tire express. The kid who got my car info was nice and friendly, but then my respect for him went down when I heard him mumble to the service rep checking me in additional services that I was not there for. Service rep then proceeded to go on and on about an oil change and if I was due, not listening to me when I told him I had that done elsewhere and wasn’t why I was there. It took me 15 minutes to get checked in. Again, in the express service line. Took a lot longer than I should have, because there were a lot more cars there than they could handle, in my opinion. Got my car back and he acted surprised when I wanted to keep the spare tire on my car. He then tried to tell me that they had to keep it because it was a warranty replacement. Well, the tire that I paid for elsewhere, was not a part of the warranty, and was a spare tire of my own was not theirs to keep! I informed him of that, and he agreed, found the tire, and took it out to my car. Just to discover that after telling 3 people that the flat tire that I was replacing was in the trunk of my car no one took it out. That one, you can have, and keep, because that one is involved in the warranty claim. Idiots. The tire they tried to keep wasn’t even a brand they carry. Based on the number of cars there, if they are by appointment only, they are booking way too many appointments way too close together. It should not take that long to get these kind of routine services done. The customer service at this location continues to decline. Every time I take a car here, there is always something else wrong or needed to be done to my car. More that I am requesting or scheduled.

I took my car in for an oil change and to see if an update was available for my cars navigation system. The Service Consultant identified other maintenance that was needed, which I agreed to have done, but he said that there is no updated disc for the navigation system since 2015. I declined to purchase that disc.I wish he had mentioned the possibility of upgrading to a newer navigation system, one that would actually show the road I was driving on rather than a white space between other, visible roads. I would have considered such an upgrade if it had been suggested. Perhaps there isnt one available from Toyota, so I might have to get a 3rd party system.

The process to pick up your vehicle is very poor. I waited in line but no one would help me because my advisor was not at her station. I left my vehicle in lieu of waiting. They should have a station with a full-time attendant set up for clients who come back to pick up their vehicle. It should be noted as such. You shouldn’t have to ONLY rely on the advisor that wrote you up.The dealership does a great job with processing your vehicle for servicing and the video’s they supply are outstanding, excellent rating for that.

I was pleased with everything but not being sure of how long it would take. They said it was gonna take til Wed so I went to stay with my daughter who lives 1 hr away. Then they called around 3:30 to say it is ready. I just stayed at my daughters and went on Wednesday morning. If I got a rental it would cost me $35.00. They should have a complementary car in case they didnt have it fixed in time. Their work is great. My helper Kevin was very good and nice.

Terrible service department. Third time my engine light, trac light and multi-terrain light have came on. Sales is a (mostly) young men who do not know how to be professional.Today my 3 year old went to run into the parking lot and my fiance grabbed her arm. Austin in sales proceeded to call the cops claiming my daughter was thrown on the ground and beaten then several of the young men threatened to fight my fiance.Service gave my car back, unfixed, and said given the circumstances they could no longer help me.Robert from New Sales is professional and mindful. I feel bad for him having to employ such unprofessional immature young boys.

Disappointed in service . 1.75hrs for express oil change and they did not covid clean it after and lot was full so they parked it in an oncoming traffic lane. Male body odor smell left in vehicle. Overall, I appreciate the dealership. Express Service is quite a challenge though. My plan was to get my oil changed (no tire rotation) and be out within an hour. Ended up there right at 1.5 hours; which IF I was told it would have been, I would have come back at another time.

I have never experienced a more unprofessional, mean and childish sales person in my life. Negotiation and expectation-setting are part of buying a new vehicle. We were completely demonized and yelled at for expressing concern over their prices. When I told the guy that I bought my car for under MSRP I was scoffed at, not believed and then he threw a fit. The manager was nice and politely explained why MSRP was $7,000-$8,000 over what my research showed - exactly how you are supposed to engage with customers. I do not appreciate indirect, confusing, and uninformed car sales men. I do appreciate the manager trying to make it right (I’m sorry I cannot remember your name - I was pretty upset when we spoke) but this is unacceptable behavior. Sadly, I now understand the bad reputation that this dealership has. I hope things will improve because Toyota’s are amazing. I’m disappointed as we were excited about potentially purchasing a Tacoma this weekend.

Very grateful that they were able to get me in same day to fix a very big problem due to a recall I was not aware of. They did a great job, and I love the video they sent of my multi point inspection. The one thing I was majorly disappointed in, with the fact that they did not do loaner vehicles. I am a custom to most major dealerships offering loaner cars when you have services that might take all day or multiple days. When I asked about a loaner, I was told they do not do loaners but that they might be able to offer me a rental car. I am stunned that a dealership of this caliber would not offer a loaner.. Especially given the fact that I was at the dealership due to a recall I was not even notified about. Other than that major setback, I was very pleased with my service.

My first symptom of the failing alternator was the head unit had no power (third time this has happened in a year and a half). Apparently this time a fuse blew that controlled the alternator. They did not diagnose why the fuse blew, so this issue is inevitably going to happen again.Even though I told the service advisor, Byron, the head unit not working was the first symptom, they did not fix it. Byron told me in a text: I dont believe we did anything with the radio. Never would have crossed our minds really. We were focused on all the other concerns we had going on. My immediate thought is it is probably a fuse.The first thing I told him was that the radio wasnt working, so it definitely shouldve crossed his mind... I had to pull the fuses myself to find another blown fuse, this one for the radio. I have no idea how you can find one blown fuse but not another blown fuse right next to it. Absolutely atrocious service.

Went in for a recall repair. While there I got scheduled service (oil, filter etc). Recall was free, on their Family Plan I paid only for filters $80. Decided to get new tires while I was there. Everything was done quickly and on schedule. I particularly like the video tour of the service by the mechanic! My negotiation with them was courteous, honest and fair. Having done some prior research, the pricing was very competitive. Overall, a highly appreciated and recommendable experience!

Went two separate times for a full service and on the way home got a service light on the way home one time, so I looked at the paperwork and it said they reset the light but it was clear they did not, and another time I got home with an empty wind shield washer tank even though the paperwork again stated that they refilled the tank. Too big for the little things then too little for the big things. Was also told by the sales team when I bought the car that the service plan they offered would be honored at other dealers, apparently that was a not true. But oh well they got my money what does it matter now. And their contactless payment in the vending area never works.

I have less than 12k miles. My service advisor asked if I wanted to check alignment. It is Suggested at this service. Of course, it was out of alignment and would void warranty if not aligned properly. I feel like I was taken advantage of. Everything else was good.

Last time I did leave a five star review, even if I had to wait a little while. But this time I had a scheduled appointment for just a tire rotation and an inspection. I waited an hour and 15 minutes and could not wait any longer. My car had not even been touched yet.

I made an appointment at 4pm for the express service just an oil change. Arriving and checking in was fine, it was estimated for an hour wait. I was told I would get a text half way through and that my service would be covered because I was on the family plan.I sat for two hours with no text and did not get asked once by any employee if I was doing okay or needed anything. I received no texts. I was about to walk inside when a kind service associate pointed out my vehicle and said he would get me out of there. Then come to find out because I got a tire rotation (which I had originally said no to) I had to pay for it. That was after being told when I checked in that in order to get the free family plan oil change I HAD to get my tires rotated. Absolutely no mentioned that it would cost me $30. The service associate checking me out said the sales usually neglect to mention this detail and that service associates get regularly chewed out by the customers for it.Not a good experience at all.

Have bought several new vehicles from Fred Anderson, all came with family plan. So after the two year Toyota care, if you don’t let them rotate your tires, which I don’t because of a lack of use of a torque wrench. They want you to pay for your oil change. Took my Tundra in today for an oil change and they waived the tire rotation fee because I had just put new wheels and tires on the truck, but had to buy a cabin air filter and an engine air filter which was $82 total or I had to pay for the oil change. Can buy the filters elsewhere and replace myself for much less than $82. Fred Anderson has taken a very good dealership from Jim Barkley and ruined it!

Great customer service and experience! Macon helped us and he was very helpful. He helped us will all of our questions and made sure the car was extremely clean when he handed us the keys. After we brought the car home, we noticed a part was missing. He ordered it immediately and even put it on for us when we arrived to pick it up. I highly recommend buying from here! We have purchased 6 Toyota’s from this dealership in the last 25 years (including previous owners). I made an appointment to drive 1.5 hours after work to purchase a Camry for my niece. Since the website shows over 25 Camry’s available, we knew that we would be driving home with her new car.On arrival, there was ONE Camry on the lot. It was basically empty. What a fraud. When they called me three times to confirm my appointment, you would think someone would have mentioned that they had zero cars to choose from. Buy what you want off of the internet. Don’t waste your time driving there.

Was easy to book appointment online and as a first time customer here, my only complaint is that it took just over two hours to get an oil change and tire rotation…even though I scheduled an appointment. It was like Disney World when I got there at 10:45. There are about 8 service bays and they did move them along at a good pace, but they just overbook and that is unfortunate. My service “advisor” said that two years ago he would have 100 appointments…today he had 130. They can only service so many vehicles in a day, so why try to cram in more than that…it only leads to unhappy customers that have to wait and unhappy employees that must be stressed. I’ll give them another chance before throwing in the towel.

My service appointment was at 11:15 AM. I drove an hour to get to the dealership and arrived on time. My car was not taken in for service until 12:15 PM. I requested that my tires not be rotated because I has just had that done where I purchased the tires. I was advised that they would let it go this time but tire rotation was part of the family plan which I was not told about when I purchased the car. The service advisor asked if my front end was aligned and I told her I was not sure. She said they would check that at no charge. When I went to pay the bill I had been charged $89.95 for front end alignment that I did not authorize. I was given a $20.00 credit because I was not expecting the bill to be so much but should have been credited the full amount of the alignment since I did not authorize it. I will not be returning to this dealership for service. Very disappointed.

Had an express service appointment for an oil change/ tire rotation at 10am. I pulled up to the lane with probably 10 cars in front of me. I asked the lady if they all had appointments- she said most of them do. Left the dealership around 12:15pm. I get it, everywhere is short staffed right now but is it possible to not over book yourself with appointments?? It was also mentioned that they guarantee express service appointments to be 90 minutes or less.. I have NEVER heard of this and it has never been mentioned at my past appointments. What is the point of an appointment if you are going to be stuck at the dealership for 2 hours!?

Great work! I’d give it 5 stars, but for the following:No coffee for customers. If Toyota of Cedar Park can do it, you can too. Even during COVID.I’m not sure if it’s policy to top off fluid levels during the visit, but my washer fluid was about half empty. I’m not sure if other levels were checked.Also, the other dealership always washed my vehicle as a courtesy.Even so, you provided spectacular customer support in how you dealt with me on a personal level! And, the service done was fast! Thank you for that!
