Aaron is a Horrible Manager!!!! DO NOT COME HERE.I reserved a U-Pack online and this was the only location I could pick it up from. I went in to pick up the box and was told rudely from Aaron that my reservation was for the following day. Okay, I called the following day to see if I could pick up the trailer an hour early.Aaron accused me of cancelling my order. I said that was false (never received a cancellation email) and politely asked for assistance to get a unit that day. Aaron would not acknowledge my request for assistance and continued to accuse me of cancelling the order. After a few times asking for assistance I was told by Aaron that I should Take my business else where.Sadly my entire move was cancelled and now I am forced to find alternative means,Stay classy Aaron

Friendly but unable to answer company policy questions that would have determined when to schedule services. After explaining that I could not accurately answer their questions without my questions being answered they chose to let my business to go elsewhere instead of learning their company policy. Fortunately, the Golden location was much more helpful. They did not know the answers off the top of their heads but they were able to find it.

Im a loyal U-hauler and have used their services for every move. I love em. This location is really difficult to work with, however, and I would recommend going somewhere else to pick up 24/7 truck rentals if you can. Also, you wont make much progress if you try to call in, prepare for hold times of 25-45 minutes.

Made a reservation, got an email confirmation, got dropped off so I could get the truck, turns out they moved my reservation to a store on the other side of town and never informed me. Asked if they had any sized truck I could rent and got a blank stare and told to leave. Terrible service.

Went in asking questions about hitch receivers for our cars and were met with disinterest and little help. I understand parts may be on back order due to shortages, but answering questions and simple customer service are still to be expected. Save yourself time and go to the UHaul in Westminster. Super helpful!

I’m very disappointed with this U-Haul location as well as the management team. I’m a loyal U-Haul customer and I depend on U-Haul to run my small business. I operate a veteran owned business in Wheat Ridge and I depend on U-Haul to operate my business and help families move in town. I spend thousands every month on U-Haul trucks, U-Haul dollies, and their materials. I love U-Haul! They have helped me employee 8 people during the pandemic and I’m super grateful for their company however today the Arvada team has suspended my account without any notice. They told me I can no longer rent trucks because I brought back trucks late.This puts me in a very difficult position because I do not own a truck on my own. Management refuses to work with me or put me on a probation period or try to understand my circumstances. I’ve tried to communicate with the manager but he can’t relate to my situation and told me he “doesn’t care if I’m a loyal customer” and that “I’m a huge inconvenience to him and his team”. I don’t know what I’m going to do at this point. If I can’t rent trucks I will be forced to close my business. I will do my best to challenge this with all my power because my team depends on my to keep them employed and provide for their families.Update 06/05/21: My account has been permanently suspended by Uhaul for returning trucks late and my business has taken a big hit. I’ve tried to escalate my problem to the highest level possible in Colorado but they refuse to let me rent trucks. U-Haul is also in the process of suspending the accounts of my anyone associated with me personally.

This location does not even deserve a 1 rating. Rude, unprofessional, complete lack of knowledge of what they rent, and totally put out by having to help anyone in their store! Did not even explain their 24 hr policy to my wife when she rented a trailer that was 6 x 12. Couldnt even use the trailer, because 6 was really only 410, the width of the tailgate/ramp. Of course they didnt tell my wife this. Then I got an angry call in the morning at 8:00 asking why my wife hadnt brought the trailer back by 7:00 the night before. She would have, had your associate explained your so called 24 hr policy. Wasted an entire day, wasted $100 dollars, and wasted effort!

R.U.N. from this place. Any review you see over 2 stars is FAKE NEWS. These people ski in jeans for sure...I have been a loyal Uhauler for over 10 years so I decided to take my 4Runner there for a new trailer hitch since mine was ruined with rust and a locking part that I did not have the key to. I called and spoke with someone at length about what I needed done - remove the factory hitch and replace with one I would be purchasing from them. I even called them again and reiterated the entire scope of work and asked them to make sure the cost would be $x - they confirmed. I brought my car there and got checked in, the mechanic got to work and I left for a bite to eat. After about 25 minutes they start calling me to say I will owe them another $100 for the work. The only explanation they had was that I lied when I called and never told them I had a hitch that needed to be taken off so they needed to charge me for extra labor. The GM of the shop basically threw a temper tantrum, said it was my fault, and refused to do any of the work on my car other than putting it back together - meaning they were going to do an hour of work for free anyways, only they were so stubborn, childish, and unprofessional they decided to work for free and not make a sale in the process (not to mention lose a longtime customer). I got the car back and it is, of course, scratched to hell and they didnt even complete the repair process. I have no idea what sort of part might fall off my car after letting these overgrown babies touch it.Like I said, if you are reading reviews to determine if you should use this place DO NOT. Dana, the store manager, will rip you off and if you are unfortunate enough to require them to touch your property -- good luck.

Very disappointed in how we were treated here. We made our reservation nearly a month in advance for our move. The day before as we completed the final online check in is when we were made aware that they would not have a tow dolly for us. It doesn’t seem like they would have even let us know until we arrived the day of if we had not done the online check in and seen that the tow dolly was no longer included in the reservation.We had to wait for someone from the regional office to call us back and arrange a different location across town that we would have to drive the truck to to get the tow dolly. Of course they weren’t available at the same location anywhere.Then in the morning when we did arrive to get the truck the guy helping us inside was very nice and even found us a way to save money. While discussing our options with him the other employee had the audacity to tell us only of us could be inside the store at the counter.

Reserved a trailer at this location. Dealt with a guy (heavy set African American), rude as hell from the get go. Told me to drive to Golden for my rental. Told him I could show him my rental is at this location. He says, Doesnt matter, I dont have a rental for you. Absolute miserable jerk. Have rented her for years, Ill stay clear just to avoid him.

I have never used U-haul before and my experience here has made me hesitant to ever use U-haul again even though my friends assure me that its only this location thats bad. We had reserved a 17 ft. truck for 8 am on Saturday, May 8th, 2021. It took us over an hour to actually get ahold of the truck, and thats only where our problems began.My husband and I have had covid for a while and so we had a bunch of friends and family move our things for us. We had every intention of financing the moving truck, as it was our things. However, U-haul had other ideas. Even though they already had our card information from when we reserved online, they wanted our physical copy before theyd relinquish the truck. The problem with that was of course that we werent present. The person we had given the drivers license information was, but we were intent on not spreading covid. So our driver ended up paying. And he ended up paying more than the specified amount advertised on the website for a 17 ft. truck before wed even put miles on it.The price for a 17 ft. truck on the U-haul website is $29.95. My driver ended up paying something in the ball-park of $89 just to get it off the lot. $60 is a huge difference and I couldnt be more disappointed in these U-haul clowns if I tried. But wait, theres more.I reserved the truck for 16 hours on the official U-haul website, and these lovely folks decided that instead, I only needed the truck for 6 hours. I dont know what hoops my driver had to leap through to convince these greedy jerks to let us keep the truck for longer than six hours, but this is by far the most ludicrous service I have ever received. Rent a moving truck anywhere else, for your own piece of mind.

Bought a used trailer the lights were not working on the trailer after countless attempts at tracing the problem down myself with no success.Set a appointment with Arvada location and was helped by Casey who was very knowledgeable and found I had a loose ground wire on my trailer..This guy had such a phenomenal attitude and made my my day by getting me back on the road in a timely manner.. 10 Stars 🌟 for Casey.

This was the worst reservation experience I have ever had. The time and location changed the day before the move and the gentleman on the phone was one of the most discourteous people I’ve ever had the displeasure of talking to on the phone. I had to change the location to a location about an hour away so I could get the trailer in time to be there for my movers. That wouldn’t have been a big deal had the gentleman on the phone not been so horrid with me. I do not recommend.

Terrible customer service. First guy looked, sounded, and acted like he didnt want to be there at all. He tried saying We dont provide trailer hitches. You have to buy one when my original reservation had both a truck and trailer called for.Came back after moving and got a $150 damages charge for a small hole, no bigger than a dime, in the tail light that the first guy missed during his inspection. And this new guy, wasnt very helpful or empathetic about it. Had poor customer service skills as well. i will NOT be using this store again.

My wife and I went up there to rent a 26 foot truck for our move back to Tennessee from Colorado. We went in and stood in front of the service desk for about 5 mins before anyone attempted to acknowledge our existence. Finally, a man asked if he could help. Which would have been nice if he actually meant it. Nevertheless, we explained what we needed, and he swiftly explained that they wont have what we need for our dates. Instead of offering any advice of how we can work around it, or how their business can still facilitate us as customers, he sat there blank faced, as if he was counting the seconds till we left and relived him of the difficult task of typing on the computer. He then asked us to change the dates for when we are moving, which is obviously not doable. Common sense says moving our lives around for Uhaul will prove to be much harder, than Uhaul just simply finding us a truck. To his credit, he did say he would look at other locations, but after 10 mins of silence, he admitted he couldnt figure out how to look it up on the Uhaul website. Not surprised this location has such bad reviews. No big deal well take our $3000 moving budget somehere else. At least he can go back to counting the nats in the room. Youd think after the pandemic these companies would be actually working to keep customers. Oh well.

Aaron, the manager, was even even worse. They both tried talking to me like I was an employee of theirs rather than a customer. I will NEVER rent from this U-Haul again.

Ensure you talk to the right person for a hitch installation - someone there will set you up for complete failure in having a hitch installed. Their communication is unprofessional and confusing, so I’m driving to Aspen for my honeymoon with two bikes in my trunk. Maybe they’re usually great, but today they sucked royally.

Not pleased about the service. The card that we had put on hold, we didnt want used. We had another card to be used in which we gave to have processed. They said we were good and proceeded our day. Couple days later the transaction goes on the card we told them not to use and came in to have them change it over. Taking them over 30 minutes to do this. Ridiculous! Came in last week to make sure it was on my card and still not right. They need to change managers and people around that know what they are doing and not holding people up like this. Its not that hard to change over a card and use the card that you ask! This is not a place to come. Go to another location. Expect to be waiting for service even when they have several people working. Poor service all around.

This location is hard to locate, and you must be coming south to enter theyre lot. However the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. There always seems to be a line here, but staff busts through the line quickly and gets you on your way. The selection is large here too, if they dont have what you need, they can get it there if you plan ahead.

We reserved a trailer and of course had to drive to 4 different places. Then, when we finally found one they told us our car wasnt allowed to tow the trailer. Totally understandable however we called to verify we could to ensure we could. After driving five places and changing cars the owner decided not to work with us anymore. Which is stupid because we asked and reserved in advanced. We called Uhal and they were completely shocked how they denied us service due to their mistake. When I called and asked Arvada for directions they said figure it out. She hated her job. And it was easy to see that. Thanks for denying us. I wouldnt want to give my money to someone who has no empathy for people.

If you have to get or return a truck here in the winter months, be careful if it is snowy! The driveway is long and steep. We had a terrible time trying to get the box truck and trailer up the driveway and out of the busy road. They should keep it clean in that kind of weather.Aside from that, my brief interactions with the staff were good.

We had a good experience here, seeing a lot of negative reviews but we found them to be polite and helpful no issues at all. Maybe some changes have been made but weve rented from them 4 times over the last year and everything went fine. When another independent dealer flaked out on us and couldnt care less, they found a trailer for us and got us on our way.

The U-haul at federal had messed up and didnt have someone to install the hitch I paid for. U-haul of Arvada was fantastic and squeezed me in so that I could leave on time for my move. They were awesome and I appreciated them stepping up and representing their company well. Refreshing after being at the Federal one, they were awful!

Booked a truck for 8a.m. I then received a text from U-Haul saying the truck will be ready at 9:30 a.m. 9:40 I arrive but there is no truck. The previous person did not return it. It is now 4:48pm and I had to call the call centre to check in on the truck. It is ready to go.You would think they would call me as promised.Time is money and I have lost my packing crew and have a pregnant wife with twins.

And the winner of worst customer service of all time goes to Uhaul Arvada. My wife and I reserved a 20 truck for the Friday of Memorial Day weekend 2 months in advance for a move at the Arvada location. The day before our reservation we received an email notification that our truck was available in Greeley. We called to confirm this was a mistake but were told that it was in fact not a mistake. After trying to figure out how this was possible we were told this, or a 17 truck plus a trailer were our only options. We were also told that other customers would be happy to pick up the truck in Greeley or take the replacement 17 truck plus trailer. After the employee from South Carolina argued about what a reservation actually means (she let us know that being from South Carolina she is very familiar with driving mountain passes...) for 50 minutes we were transferred to a lady who let us know that there was a 20 truck available off Federal, so still not where we reserved the truck. We were then told we could not speak to a manager for two days. Could not imagine a worse experience with a company. Use at your own risk.

My reservation was moved to a location downtown causing me to have to go out of my way 30 minutes plus I had to re purchase my boxes at the new location and they refused to credit me on the original boxes purchased.

We go here a lot, have bought moving items and always get our propane tanks filled here. We just keep going back, good service, on top of things and so on. I would not complain about waiting, even though we never have waited long, but I wouldnt complain anyway. If there are people in the front of line the others will have to wait. The only way to avoid a wait is to hire enough people to individually wait on customers and that would not be prudent, prices would go up and it would just be sillyness

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My fiance and I rented a U-Haul weeks in advance for our upcoming move. We received a text from U-Haul late last night cancelling our reservation - less than 48 hours in advance and during the busiest moving season of the year. Due to the last minute notice were now unable to get a U-Haul anywhere in either the Denver/Springs area.

They never have the truck you reserve. I have gotten trucks here twice and they always mess up the reservations. Terrible location. Never again. One of the workers there, who I will not name, refused to even have a conversation with me about it, tell me I booked the wrong truck. I had the order form in front of me that showed he was wrong. He would still not listen. The woman was nice and tried to make it better, while I appreciate the help, the man was beyond rude.

I hate that I have my box here. Its never ready even though I have called numerous times 24 hours in advance and they only have 1 or maybe 2 people working at a time. Contrary to some reviews, Ive had nothing but a positive experience at this place. They let me return a dolly there, even though I didnt have a 1-way rental and even refunded some of the fee! Another time they took extra time/effort to look up my purchase history so I could return boxes without the receipt. Open late (7pm) so you can get help if you need it.

A one star review is too high for this place.I reserved a trailer for 9am. I received a text saying it would be available at 1:15pm. Mid-morning, I received a call from the manager asking me if I could do a open trailer instead of an enclosed trailer. I told him that I couldnt and he said that hed call me back... he never did.I arrived at 1:15 to get the trailer. As per the usual at this location, there was a wait. During my wait, I observed the manager be incredibly rude to a gentleman who walked in seeing if any uhauls were available. When It was my turn, I was told that the trailer I had reserved wouldnt be available until 6:30pm now. I told the manager that this was unacceptable as he was now impeding my ability to conduct my own business.. he decided it was time to argue.I think anyone who has been this inconvenienced would be upset. I was pointed when speaking to the manager but not overly rude.. he took great exception. I told him that the customer is always right, and he actually disagreed.. then kicked me out of his store.This place is a real wreck and is doing an incredible disservice to Uhauls brand. In the few times Ive rented a uhaul here (I rent a uhaul once a month, 10 months of the year).. I have witnessed nothing but horrible customer service, long waits, equipment not being available, and an attitude that is a disgrace to customer service anywhere.

A 15’ UHaul truck was reserved for Saturday, July 20th. However, on the evening of Friday, July 19th around 8:00pm (when all UHaul locations are already closed), I received a text stating that the UHaul truck would not be available for pick-up at 7:00am on Saturday, July 20th and to call during business hours to discuss. First thing Saturday morning, I contacted UHaul and they were able to re-schedule a truck for Sunday, July 21, but an additional 22 miles north (opposite direction as I would be traveling) and still gave me the same amount of miles to work with (60 miles).Once I picked up the truck on Sunday from King’s Auto Repair in Fort Collins, the documentation stated it had 3/8 tank of fuel. In reality, it had 1/4 tank. The odometer on the documentation showed 6 miles fewer than what was actually reading not the odometer.I made the move and dropped the truck at UHaul of Arvada, but of course went over on the miles being that I had to pick the truck up 22 miles north of the actual reserved locations. When returning the truck, the gas gauge was at 1/2 tank, so I essentially gave the doubled the amount of the gas that was in the truck at pick-up. During the self-check-in on my phone, I took photos as requested and it stated that I owed for mileage over. There was a check-box that you were able to check to explain why you don’t think you should have to pay for the additional miles. I notated everything from the inaccurate mileage on the paperwork/actual odometer reading as well as the inaccurate gas gauge reading. A day later, I receive an e-mail stating that the additional mileage was charged to my credit card without any response to my explanation of the overage issue.I will not use UHaul again in the future. The prices were significantly higher than Budget Truck Rental and the customer service is subpar. I would advise that you check out Budget Truck Rental rates before giving this company your business.

This franchisee is doing his best to destroy Uhauls brand.Long story short: We had to call corporate and strong-arm the GM, (either Aaron or Marcus), into finishing the installation of the trailer hitch as promised. We needed it in time for a cross-country move, for which wed planned to use a Uhaul trailer.Even then, if it hadnt been for a helpful tech (who will remain nameless — he needs his job, and management is clearly awful), the GM told the helpful tech that he intended to make us wait until closing time at 7:00 and then tell us there was nothing he could do. Thats a petty tyrant if Ive ever seen one.Corporate was helpful, but seemed pretty powerless. It also took about 30 minutes to get through to anyone at corporate.This franchisee is simply giving Uhaul a bad name.

Got a storage pod with them. A week later I find out they sent it to California for no reason, and charged my credit card for $1200. It took me 6 weeks to get the box sent back to Denver and 4 months to get them to refund my money. Now Im waiting for the box to arrive at my house, scheduled for 8am. Its now 2:45pm and the only person to contact me was the sub-contractor they hired to deliver the box. He was never contacted about the appointment until I called Uhaul after 3 hours of waiting to ask where my storage pod was. He got to the Uhaul location and called me back again asking if my storage pod is supposed to be empty (its not). Finally Uhaul calls me back to ask me whether I got my storage pod delivered yet (obviously not) and whether I was expecting it to arrive on a truck or a trailer. How am I supposed to know how theyre delivering it? The guy acted like it was totally normal that the delivery was 7 hours late and the customer and delivery guy both had no idea where the storage pod was.Every experience Ive ever had with this company has been an absolute nightmare. I should have learned my lesson before (massive delays and rescheduling and double bookings causing me to lose days of work and vacation time I intended to spend packing and moving). Now Im finished. Waited 30 minutes to be told they didn’t have the 15’ truck I reserved and ended up with a cargo van instead. When I went in to return it they were telling someone else they didn’t have the 20’ truck they had reserved and told them to rent two 10’s. Terrible service.

Quick, on time, and in budget but they dont stand behind their product. I had a hitch installed and returned many times for adjustments. Nothing was fixed and had to have it taken off with a lot of fighting and sending a complaint to upper management.

We set a appointment through the call enter that took 1hr- after the appointing was set up a very Rudd manger named Arron called me saying he couldn’t keep the appointment. He was extremely Rudd and I can’t believe U-Haul employee peoe like this and he’s a manger. Worst customer service ever!!!

If I could give zero stars for this review, I most certainly would.Dawn, the manager, has no business speaking to other human beings, ever. This woman made my uhaul experience so painful, that I will NEVER rent from this place again.I called ahead and made a reservation. I was told that everything was all set up and my truck was reserved. They took my credit card number and gave me a confirmation number for the reservation. I called the next morning at 7:03am to confirm the reservation and assure them that I was indeed coming to pick the truck up and would arrive within the next 30-45 minutes.Upon my arrival, I was told the truck that was reserved for me had been rented out already. My only choice was a larger, more expensive truck. I asked if they would rent me the larger truck at the same price as the one on my reservation. Dawn told me, Im not feeling well today. Take it or leave it. The price is our normal price and there is no discount.She was RUDE, COMBATIVE, and completely unprofessional throughout the entire experience. I ended up telling her that she was one of the most unprofessional people I have ever met, whereupon she promptly threatened to call the police!! She SWORE at me and called me an a-hole.IM THE CUSTOMER!!! I just wanted to rent the truck I paid for, and I didnt need to be insulted, belittled, talked down too, THREATENED, and sworn at.This woman needs to be FIRED!!!

THIEVES!! I wish I could rate zero stars. I used a truck this morning to tow my motorcycle, forgot ratchet straps in the truck. Came back 30 min later and an employee took them home. Contacted GM AARON YBARRA and he tells me its my fault because I shouldnt have left them. If this is the service that is provided I would take my business anywhere else.

Really disappointed in Uhaul. Had to make 5 phone calls, spent nearly two hours on the phone total and then still had to go to the store in person to try schedule getting a hitch installed. When I left I still wasnt on the calendar and was told Id get a call the next day or two days later to schedule. Never got a call back to actually lock in a scheduled time and when I followed up with them for the 5th call (a full week after when they were supposed to actually get me in) I was informed that the wiring harness that Id paid for express shipping on was now on backorder.I called The Hitch Corner a few minutes later, spent less than 10 minutes on the phone with them, got more info than I had from Uhaul, quoted a lower rate and was scheduled right away. Glad someone is willing to make it easy to take my money.

They were VERY RUDE we reserved a trailer with a 6 *10 and we made it clear that it had to be at least 6 wide. So we reserved it ..went to pick it up and there it was out front. So I pulled up to load it and the kid told me that I was not to park there, so I moved and went inside. The manager then told me that the trailer out front was not for me..ok, where do I park for mine.he shows me a trailer that had no 6 access from the back. I was treated like a piece of -hit... They charged my card 135.00 and told me they would return my money on my card...After 3 months of trying to get my money back, I had to give up..I NEVER got my refund,,WHAT A JOKE

Extremely condescending. Attempted to do a favor a neighbor moving. Was asked to return a bundle of unsed boxes to Uhaul. Was told had to have a receipt for money back. I can live with that, thats fine. But how I was told was extremely rude.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Employee spent several minutes at a computer getting my truck ready (presumably). She then switched computers, then went into the back without saying a word to me. 3 minutes go by and Dawn asks Are you being helped to which I shrug and say I honestly have no idea. Dawn says Sorry, I hope this hasnt been an inconvenience. I say Eh, a little. Dawn (General Manager) gets enraged and tells me not to yell at her and not to blame her. I say Maam, Im not upset at you. You asked if I was inconvenienced and I gave the truth. Dawn *literally* throws down the pen and says Well you can rent elsewhere!So I called 92nd and Federal, they told me to head over to 80th and Federal where the manager Summer was incredibly pleasant and helped me get the truck I wanted.

Reserved a pickup truck, went to pick it up on a saturday morning and employee (both of them) were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. My turn, and it turns out they gave my reserved truck to another guy, simply because he showed up earlier ( I was on time according to my reserved time) and said he had a reservation (he clearly didnt) The didnt bother to match his name to the reservation. Complete f-up.

Wow I tell you Dawn at this place should not have a job dealing with customer service !!! She is the worst !! I went to get trailer wiring installed, when I arrived they were busy & I waited my turn on line to be helped. When it became my turn I explain my purpose for being there,,, she says to me we dont have time to deal with that right now,,, she needed to help the people there who have rented equipment. R U kidding me ???? I waited my turn & now somebody else is more important because I am having wiring done to my hitch & they are renting equipment ???? Dawn needs to get a. Lack of professionalism and expertise from the staff and technicians that monkey wrench trailers here. We had to pay Aerosuds to fix the amateur wiring job UHaul attempted to install for a brake controller. Avoid for anything but basic moving supplies and rentals.

Always make a reservation 1st. Customer service has always been great. And while this is probably more due to whatever computer systems they use, i dont get why it takes 30+ min to get through a rental contract to rent an old trailer (and thats if you are the only customer there) so I have to plan to lose a few hours of my day whenever I rent from uhaul. Also, of you have full coverage insurance, dont let them talk you into damage protection. It does not cover the most common scenarios ie damage to tires. I always inspect the tires carefully. 9 times out of 10 they have significant dry rot so I make sure its noted on the check list although Im not sure this provides any protection in the event that they fail.
