Patrick is subpar at best. I had to pay back from listening to him. I asked him a few questions regarding my business refunds and was completely wrong with his answers. Hes ok at small items but anything larger hes not knowledgeable enough for that. I am thankful I am not going to file with him this year. Basic accounting that you could get someone else at half the price.

Patrick is a great resource, and I’m very pleased to have “found” him. I am retired, so my taxes are normally not complex, but this year I needed to take care of a Federal credit for a new Electric Vehicle, as well as a 30% credit for a new Solar installation, which I will have to claim over the next 2 to 3 years.It turns out those are among Patrick’s specialties, and he was genuinely excited to help. My taxes for 2019 are now done and ready to file, even though the final IRS forms may not be available until 2/5/20.I very highly recommend.

TaxPlus does a great job getting your taxes done and save me money! I have tried to do my taxes on my own before for an easy form to one with a few deductions. I spent much time doing my taxes and still messed up sometimes. TaxPlus finished them quickly and the cost was affordable and worth not doing them myself.

Patrick was EXTREMELY accommodating with scheduling, spent the time to give us some background on the tax laws when answering our questions, and was very personable. What struck us the most when we left was that we never once felt rushed...and trust me, we had a lot of questions.I had already prepared our return with Turbo Tax before meeting with Patrick and he got us a substantially better return, even after subtracting his preparation fee (which is very reasonable). Patrick also told us how to change our withholding for this year to benefit us the most for our specific situation - INVALUABLE!Patrick is available via phone for tax questions year-round, not just during tax season.

My spouse and I had high expectations going into our appointment with Patrick; he had such high online reviews that we figured hed be worth trying out for our 2016 taxes. And good thing we did - Patrick helped us understand issues that we had no idea existed, even from the previous years tax returns (that we had tried to do on our own (and will never do again)). What is this guy, some sort of magician? Patrick spent about two and a half hours making sure we understood every detail and option. He also happily and patiently answered the million questions I had afterwards. Our taxes turned out to be more complicated than we thought they would be, and because Patrick knew we were moving soon and wanted us to be able to have everything finished before then, he completed our returns from multiple years and multiple states in time for us to be able to come in and sign/pick everything up before we left. Did some research on tax prepares online. I was considering going to H&R Block or Liberty Tax. I had really bad experience with Jackson Hewitt last year so knew I wouldnt be going back to them. Got a bad vibe from the H&R office I went into, and wasnt sure about Liberty Tax and all their specials. All I can say is go talk to those other prepares then go see Patrick at Tax Plus Financial.Patrick was very friendly. I showed up at his office first thing in the morning and he saw me right away. Again Patrick was very friendly and great with conversation and really made me feel at ease. After my experience last year using Jackson Hewitt, I was expecting the worst but I left the office feeling happy, good about his work, and very relieved. Cost wise, Patrick is very competitive. Talk to the others and get a ball park estimate of a basic return and per form cost, then go talk to Patrick. He makes it a no-brainer to have him do the return instead of the big franchise shops.What lead me to Patrick was all the positive reviews he has online and he certainly has earned them. I moved into Arvada a couple months ago. As tax season approached, I didnt know who to have figure my taxes for me. I found Patrick online and decided to roll the dice with him. Boy, am I glad I did. Patrick has done my taxes for 3 years now, and I wouldnt go anywhere else. I was one of those people that used TurboTax and basically closed by eyes and hoped that I had done it correctly each year. Theres no guessing with Patrick, and if youre on the fence, it is ABSOLUTELY worth the sleep to have someone as skilled as Patrick handle your taxes. He is extremely thorough and diligent, and he also really cares about his customers and their specific tax situations. When the IRS sent me a random letter trying to solicit funds from me, I e-mailed Patrick, and he immediately jumped in and found out that it was a bogus charge based on the tax code. He has helped ensure I didnt unknowingly overpay in taxes over the years. Patrick is very by-the-book and you can ensure you are buttoned up with the IRS.

Patrick was great got right to business, saved me a lot of money and the price he quoted me for services was exactly what I paid, no hidden or extra fees.

Absolutely terrible. I took all my paperwork to him in mid February 2016, even had some of the schedules already filled out. He contacted me in March asking for a couple more items, which I sent him. Then I never heard from him again. April rolled around, one week before tax filing deadline...I call him, leave a message, no response. I email him two or three days later, and he finally responds and says he didnt work on my tax return because it was too complicated, that hes going on vacation for the second half of April and that he can look at it sometime after he gets back. I had to take Friday off work and work through the weekend to complete my returns myself.I guess if you have a trivial tax situation and just want to pay somebody to type your W2 figures into TurboTax for you, this is your guy, but a tax professional he certainly is not.
