Pickering’s is WONDERFUL. I had called 6 places before Pickering’s about replacing my cooling fan, and every place just gave me the basic system check price and a “have a nice day”, but the man from Pickering’s who spoke with me actually took the time to educate me on some things and told me that if I choose a different mechanic, I should bring these up to them to ensure they fix my car correctly. How genuine is that!?They were also very communicative the whole time they had my car, AND they gave me a quote on the repair and then realized they couldn’t use the parts they had quoted the price on, so they discounted the new price (which would’ve been significantly more expensive) so that it was equivalent to the original quote. Overall extremely extremely satisfied and will definitely continue taking my car here! Thanks, Pickering’s!

They are fantastic, do great work, and are honest. Stop going to one of the quick oil changes where they always find additional things wrong. I was told at one that all of my brakes needed to be replaced. I took my SUV to Pickerings at 80th and Sheridan and they checked the brakes and they were fine. I drove on those brakes for over a year until I just had to have the rear (not the front) replaced.

They have worked on my 2008 rogue since I bought it. They are always friendly and understand repair costs can be difficult, but they still want you safe on the road. A couple of months ago they replaced some struts, the car still didnt sound right so I took it back. They were able to replace the strut under warranty and gave me a rental for convenience. There was still a noise after that repair so they called to talk about the options. They really care about their customers and were able to fix all of my concerns. They are well worth it. 😁

They followed up on a diagnostic I received from the State Emissions technician after failing the emissions test 4 times. They could not duplicate the problem described but in their investigation I think they fixed the problem. I finally passed the emissions test! Point is they were very accommodating , professional and honest. They did not charge me for their effort out of courtesy. I would definitely recommend them! Nice guys!

I am from northern Minnesota and was in Arvada for a seminar with 2 of my dogs when the fuel pump in my Chevy Suburban went out. Even though they were really busy and booked for weeks, Michael and his crew made me a top priority. They even allowed my 2 dogs to hang out with them in their lobby while I picked up and then again when I returned my rental car. Michael worked so hard to find a part, make sure that I had transportation, and get me back on the road again. It’s hard to say enough good things about Pickering’s! I was so fortunate to find them!!!

I had scheduled an oil change and also brake fluid flush because my maintenance reminder said it was due? However I have very low mileage and wasn’t sure if it was actually needed, when I checked in the gentleman asked why I thought I needed this service, he said he was going to check the vehicle requirements and said he wouldn’t want to charge me $120 for a service that wasn’t needed. I appreciated his honesty and he said I didn’t need it, explained to me that several years ago manufacturer’s changed reminders based on the years of the vehicle as opposed to actual mileage. My oil change was complete within 30 minutes and I was told based on my mileage he would only recommend once per year.

The check engine light came on in my 2011 Jeep Compass, so took it in on a Wednesday. I also asked them to do a full maintenance check/tune-up, because we were driving to Montana in a couple weeks. They said they would call me with the diagnostics and a quote that afternoon, instead they TEXTED me at almost closing time and told me they hadn’t gotten to it that day, even though I had an appointment scheduled for 8:00 when they opened. They asked if I needed to pick it up and bring it back in or leave it there overnight, I obviously left it because I had already been late to work that day in order to bring it in. I waited the next two days for a call, I called them and texted back to the number they had used and got no reply. As I was randomly checking my email that weekend (still without a car), I saw they had emailed me a summary and quote for the work. Email was never mentioned once, and I definitely don’t check it 24/7. Long story short, I paid a grand for various repairs, they had my car for a week, and on our way back from Montana, the transmission blew out in the middle of Wyoming on the 4th of July, which also happened to be a Sunday. We sat on the side of the freeway with our two dogs for FOUR hours, waiting for the only tow truck working in the area to take us to Buffalo, where my Jeep is still currently sitting. I already sunk $1000 into a useless maintenance check, which apparently didn’t include taking a quick peek at the transmission. All in all, repairing that and the money I already spent is more than half what the car is worth. So no, I would not recommend this business to anyone, unless you like flushing money down the drain for fun.

Tried to charge for diagnosis when I told exactly what was wrong. When I asked them to break down their price, I found out they mark up around 100% for parts. Most shops mark up around 25% to 50% two stars instead of one for not arguing with me when I told them I was going somewhere else.

They were once a five star. But the customer service has went down hill. I never had to ask to speak to the owner before. But this last issue I had to request for him because Tom or Michael couldnt get the job done right the first two times. Now that the job is done correctly due to the owner having to step up for the others mistakes. Trent was a 5 star but the workers dropped it to a three for the headache I had to go through to get the job done right.

Every person that I worked with was amazing and support helpful. The price was great considering how much we had to have done on it. They even looked into extra things that I forgot about when I first dropped the vehicle off and came up with solutions to fix issues that needed to be revisited later.

I had an engine repair done, and the complex repair was completed within 2 business days—FAR more quickly than I would have ever expected. Extremely reasonable pricing on top of everything else! In a world full of crooked car repair shops, Pickerings stands out from the rest! The staff is VERY knowledgeable, well-trained, friendly, and SUPER HONEST! I took my car in for a diagnosis of what was causing a dragging noise when I braked, after I had received a $1,300+ quote from Brakes Plus. Brakes Plus, who had recently completed both a front and rear brake replacement, said I needed two control arm/ bushing sets. After speaking with Pickerings, they let me know that I in fact had NO suspension issues. The rotors had been machined incorrectly.I also had Pickerings look at one of my windshield wiper lines because I thought it was blocked. They ended up using shop parts to replace my dry rotted hoses. For $173 I was out the door, and that price included use of their rental car for a day.Pickerings will do ALL of my repair work on my Subaru Outback, as long as I live in the Denver area. They really care about delivering top notch customer service, and quality work, and it shows!

I took my car to Pickering for the 1st time recently.Although it took some time to get it back, I am grateful for the good work, professionalism ,and communication that Michael and his crew displayed. The part took some time to get in,but realizing due to recent weather , shortages, and general shipping delays due to covid Michael kept an open dialogue and kept me in the loop consistently. I too am a small business owner and can relate to shipping delays. Because of that I will be returning my vehicles for future repairs.

I have a 2001 Ford Windstar minivan that was making a sound that I assumed was a transmission problem. But, after a diagnostic at Pickerings, they determined it was a loose motor mount. They repaired that, saving me the expense of a transmission. They also discovered that several of the fluids needed to be flushed and replaced. The service was prompt and courteous, and I felt that the price for the work was fair. They gave me an estimate and stuck to it. No surprises. I would absolutely recommend Pickerings for auto service. No complaints.

Pickerin’s Auto Service is amazing!Over the weekend we had ran over a tow hitch, which ended up punching 2 massive holes in each of my gas lines, plus some more damage as well.I took it into Pickering and they were able to look at the vehicle right away, which was super helpful as I needed to have my vehicle back to take a trip the next weekend.When Michael called me to tell me about everything that was wrong, he explained it to me clearly so I could understand what happened, he also remembered that I had my trip and was doing everything he could to make sure parts and repairs were done before end of day on Friday.The parts came in on time, they were able to complete the repair in time, and I was able to pick my vehicle up with no issues.Thank You again Pickering Auto Service!

This was our 1st time using Pickering, we had an excellent experience, the mechanics were very knowledgeable. The price of labor and parts were fair and they didn’t try to BS us into something we didn’t need. We had a mileage service check, a gasket replaced on our exhaust and the engine mount fixed. We will return again for our next service as all their work is warranted.

A great place! I took my car in thinking I had transmission problems. They found out it was not my transmission, but a simple and affordable fix. Honesty anywhere, has gotten harder to find. I found it here at Pickerings.

They gave me an appointment and then backed out on it, not happy at all. Needed my car to move apartments and they failed to hold up their end of service.

Had quite a bit of work done on my car. Staff was very friendly and professional. They took the time to explain the work I needed done and what the parts where.. I really appreciated the itemized list of the work done differentiating the cost between parts and labor. I definitely will recommend them to anyone. While labor was a little bit higher then other places, you definitely get what you pay for with them. :)

I had a bad oil leak on my truck. They got me in and out in a few hours after another shop couldnt even diagnose the problem. They didnt try to sell me on any other services and they were extremely professional. I wont take my truck anywhere else from now on!

My car had battery issues and required frequent jump starting . Pickering mechanic were able to diagnose the problem and fixed it in good time- I was super impressed by two gentlemen who brought me and my six year old son some chairs after observing us squatting outside on the floor. Our wait time was shortened by those chairs . Bravo! Price was slightly high but the service was outstanding

AAA ApprovedEvery time I’ve had to get something done to any of my vehicles, I’ve been able to receive great service: be it an oil change, instrument cluster replacement (roommate ended up buying that vehicle off me), or anything the vehicle needed repaired.They over quote you, but I’d rather be over quoted than under quoted and end up paying less than what was quoted as sometimes they won’t know how much labor it will take depending on the part and placement of the repair part.If I could go back in time and use them from the first time I had to repair anything I would as they end up saving me money for future repairs.

Tom was not friendly at all. Didnt care about what was bothering me with my vehicle. Overpriced!! Do not take your car there. They told me things were wrong with my vehicle that were not. I had a second opinion and 3 things they wanted me to fix werent even wrong and didnt need repairing. All they care about is your money.

I had questions about my car and what was needed. They were very willing to explain everything that was done. I appreciated that.I took my car in a few days ago as my car was telling me a tire was low. They fixed that and it was not expensive.

This place is close by and the people are friendly. Although I had to wait a few days for an appointment, they were able to get me fixed and back on the road quickly. I will probably return here, depending on what I need done as I have VW and this shop may not be able to work on it. Overall though I would recommend this place for auto repair or maintenance.

We brought our Armada in for a transmission issue and were impressed from the get go. This visit was during COVID-19 so things were different than my previous visits. With lobby closed they had a system of key drop off that worked well. I appreciate the Lyft service greatly. The maintenance service was done on time and the Lyft driver returned me to my car with receipt and key on the seat. No contact necessary. Amazingly efficient.

Excellent service. Honest fast and friendly. I was having problems with the limited slip clutches they suggested trying a thicker oil in the differential before replacing the clutches. So far works great saving me money in the end.

I called with concerns about my transmission going out and requested a transmission Diagnostics.. The guys their were extremely honest, friendly and respectful. After a couples hours after dropping my truck off, i got a call from them with information regarding my concered transmission. It was a simple ignition switch. Rather than just running down Toyota’s checklist and doing everything, they actually checked to see whether each process needed to be done, did what needed to be taken care of that day, and gave me a timeframe for when I needed to have the other stuff taken care of. They went out of their way to help me fix my dads car, even with me living out of state. They gave me a car to drive that I really needed for the day. As we went along their communication was excellent! Would definitely recommend, and rather than naming all the problems it could be they really tried to fix the problem at hand. Well done!

I do a lot of my own car work with my dad who is a retired mechanic. I am the original owner of a Corolla with over 300,000 miles and I was having some electrical problems that I was not able to figure out on my own. He ran a diagnostic, solved half the problems. Told me what it would take to solve the other problems which would cost him more to fix than what the car is worth to fix. For $130 it was well worth it. Its nice to talk to somebody theyll give you the straight story instead of trying to BS you like other mechanics, especially the dealerships.

Would not recommend this place. Yes their knowledgeable but ridiculously expensive for something that shouldnt be expensive. Labor is crazy expensive as well as their so called accurate diagnostic testing. If your a single mom or dad I would not recommend this place.

I highly recommend Pickering’s Auto Service. They were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Love the guys here! Theyre so friendly and even remembered me from months before! They do a great job on my oil changes and replenishing the full amount of oil that my car requires. They will pick me up and drop me off at home. They let me know if something else needs attention and whether its a safety issue or it can wait. I trust them to do a good job and not sell me repairs I dont need. I like that they are family owned and back up their work with a 3 year warranty.

Misinformation was given to us about what they could provide and we told them that we needed. Unfortunately they came back wanting an outrageous amount to convert our air conditioner. I called back and they tried to apologize but they already took out money to tell us something we already new. Sad how many dishonest people and businesses are out there.
