I have used Awtrey since Ive moved to St Louis and couldnt be more pleased. They are extremely professional and knowledgeable. I have an annual maintenance contract which is very economical. Don checked out everything, pulled weeds around my unit, washed it out, changed my filter, sealed an area in my crawlspace that was drawing hot air... to name a few. He even sucked out my dryer vent that was next to the ac. They go the extra yard!

Last year I bought a brand new HVAC system for my older home. I reached out to three companies (based on my Neighborhood app recommendations). Busy time for AC repair in August, our home unit went out on the hottest day in July. Awtrey was the first company to respond when I contacted them (2 others never got back to me) on a Friday morning. The soonest they could come out was Monday. Tech named Luke came out to house, I told him the back story and he had us up and running within an hour. Issue was bad capacitor on outside unit. He was very professional and I would recommend this company and Luke for anyone with AC/Heating issues. Their prices were just a little high, but if you want quality, you pay for it. His documentation and the receipt we received had numerous pictures of the inside of our unit so we could see its current condition and after he had worked on it. We signed up for their maintenance plan as well since our unit is now 5 years old and we want it to last. Again, I would highly recommend Awtrey.

Awtrey was on time, friendly and less expensive then some others. Completely satisfied. I highly recommend them. My A/C went out 5 days before the install which was already scheduled. Then came out in less than an hour after regular hours, installed a capacitor and did not charge me for it.

Here is why: we have been having power outages for the last 6 months in our neighborhood and local area which is not good on equipment. we have had to replace the water heater, oven, microwave, GFI’s. Then out of no where our AC died. I look for local companies with good reviews and comments to buy or fix things. I came across Awtrey with good reviews and ratings. Here is why I read reviews and ratings. I called Awtrey and they were busy and still made it out the day after I called. They came out gave me 3 options ...of course we went with the one to get us up and running so we could have time to make decisions. Service guy was professional and fixed everything he said. After we paid and he left the AC died again. I was mad and just devastated that we paid and still had no AC with temps reaching close to 90 in our home . I called obviously upset but kept my composure, REMEMBER PEOPLE, it’s not the office ladies fault or businesses fault, remember this! She clearly could hear I was upset in my voice and was so professional, she had the service guy come out and try and fix it a second time. Our luck it could not be fixed. We didn’t know what to do. This is how cool they are the owner came out went over all the options and let us use a portable a/c unit credited us our money back towards a new unit. They came out as quick as possible to install new unit. Everything was done professionally with the best customer service. It was easy to call and talk to them any time during business hours. If you need heating and cooling repairs or replacements use this company you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve used Awtrey twice now and they are great. My furnace started blowing cold air and I was worried about finding someone to show up before the weekend. I called Wednesday afternoon and they were here on Thursday. They text me to let me know when my repairman was on the way, and even sent me a picture of him. The repair man explained exactly what was wrong with my furnace, and the most cost effective way to fix it. They were back first thing in the morning with the part, and fixed my furnace by 9:00 am. They were prompt, professional and very affordable. I recommend this company for any problems with your HVAC system.

I highly recommend using this business for anyone needing HVAC service. I was having issues with heating in my home and they had someone at my home within 30 minutes. The two gentlemen were extremely polite, knowledgeable, and respectful. They had my issue repaired quickly and I will be using them again in the future if I need any service.

After over two decades of service from my existing Trane HVAC system it was time to replace it. As a very satisfied customer of record, I spoke with Shane Awtrey about a new system and he provided me several options along with the pros and cons of each one. After a couple of informative discussions with him, I settled on a complete new system along with an updated air cleaner and larger humidifier. In addition, a newer technology called an “air scrubber” sounded great and with the help of a rebate from the manufacturer, I also included that into the new system. Overall pricing was very fair and reasonable yielding excellent value. Once ordered, the communication prior to the installation date was great in keeping me informed all along the way. When the installation date arrived so did the crew (Bryan, Kevin, and Nick) right on time.The crew got work right away after reviewing the areas for the new equipment. I was pleased to see how well the crew performed together as a team, which gave me a lot of confidence in their work. During the installation, they kept me informed of their progress. When the job was done, workmanship was beyond impressive and so was their cleanup. Down to the last screw, the equipment was installed super precise and neat. It is really a work of art! The system was tested and the workings of the new thermostat were explained to me in detail.About week or so later, a technician came out and again thoroughly tested the air conditioning system checking temperature and air flow from various supply and return vents. They will return this winter to do the same for the heating system. This service is included at no charge, and again, quite impressive! I might add the warranty on the equipment is wonderful from Awtrey and the manufacturer (American Standard) and Awtrey also includes at no charge the first year of maintenance for both heating and cooling. I know for a fact, that routine maintenance is extremely important and cost effective (a big reason in why my old system lasted so long) in getting the most out of the new system (or any existing system for that matter). I will once again sign up for Awtreys routing maintenance club.I want to add that even though the “air scrubber” has been operating a short time, I can already sense a large improvement in the air quality in my home, especially seeing the short time to in removing cooking odors. Definitely something to check out for yourself.Awtrey Heating and Air Conditioning is a company you can trust without hesitation and rely on for years of outstanding service!

The technicians that came to our house were awesome. They were very knowledgeable. They came over for a system check and ended up finding out that our brand new furnace needed to be replaced. Their combustion analysis tools were able to find a very small inconsistency with our burn levels, but the only way to fix it was a new furnace! Since our system was brand new, they were able to replace it without charge.Their duct installers were great too. They were very thorough, very fast, friendly and everyone even put on masks and protective foot wear so we were safe and so our new floors didnt get dirty. I would recommend this company to maintain or install anyones HVAC system.

We couldnt ask for better service! They were fast and responsive to our call regarding our broken air conditioner. It was 30+ years old and it was an obvious time for a new one. They had to order parts for it but were able to loan us a portable one until they can install a new one. They were timely and kind! They were great with our dog as well. They left everything organized and clean. 100% will be using them again and recommend them.

They have been great so far. Purchased a whole new system with them 5 years ago and today they replaced a major part of the air conditioner for free under warranty. Before the technician left he even replaced another part, because in one month our full parts and labor warranty expires. They went above and beyond to assure our system is perfect and I certainly did not expect this. I recommend them to everyone I know and I do know they have also put new systems into two of my friends houses so far. Both of them are also very happy.

Initially they did not think they could fit us in for AC repair, however after my wife told them our little one was having trouble sleeping, they called us back later and made it work. The technician cane to our home directly from an 8 hour repajr job to service our AC. Everything about the experience shows you this is a well run business. The service van was clean and sharp, the technician has sharp and professional. He took his time diagnosing the problem and presented us a very reasonable quote and did not rip us off on the labor charge! He even took an extra 20 or 30 minutes to give me a breakdown of our heater and AC units, telling me about things to consider and variables in the future. In a business with hourly labor charges, he did this free of charge. Overall we ended up with an immediate fix, PM advice, and a realistic expectation (without any false promises) of how long our unit would last and a ball park price of replacing it a few years down the line. To clarify, he did not try to sell us a new unit, I asked, and he gave me a super detailed ten minute breakdown of things to consider before purchase and told me about the bidding process if/when we decide to go that direction.The technician, Michael, really deserves recognition. Professional craftsman who takes pride in his work and really represents the company well. 5/5 stars.

I woke up Christmas morning to a very chilly house, which didnt get any better through out the day. I called Awtrey H/AC the next morning, the tech was at my house within an hour, located the problem, & had my furnace repaired quickly. I will use Awtrey the next time I need service.

Awtrey Heating and Cooling is an exceptional company. They go above and beyond typical service companies. Each employee gives 110% when installing or servicing equipment, satisfying customers, and providing guidance. Michael serviced my furnace today and noticed my humidifier needed cleaning and a $47 filter replacement, which is normally done during my spring A/C service. Since the A/C service is only a few months away, he suggested we wait until normal servicing and not spend $47 on a filter that will be replaced again in spring. He not only saved me $47, but also did not take advantage of me in spending the money on something I didn’t need right now. Also, Heather in the office is amazing! She is thoughtful, professional, and accomplished with remarkable customer service abilities. She called me early this morning to let me know Michael was on his way and, knowing I’m not a morning person, acted as my alarm clock to ensure I was ready for his visit! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting four of their technicians and they are knowledgeable. We had a rental unit fail and they got it working temporarily and called us the next business day to schedule the permanent fix. Other businesses we’ve worked with didn’t do that. We called Awtrey Heating and AC as our antique furnace in our newly purchased home decided to stop working correctly on Christmas Eve. Shane, the owner, came over the day we called, and moved jobs around on the schedule so that we could get our new system installed the next day. The gentlemen who came to install it did a very professional job, and they were dog-friendly! The two Brians/Bryans who installed the system and one more person (sorry, forgot his name) got to work quickly and efficiently. We had a new furnace, AC, and water heater installed and debris cleaned up and hauled away by the end of the day. Highly recommend.
