I was told that there was one problematic wisdom tooth. I was 28 at the time, and three years ago falsely claimed I need a wisdom tooth extraction. Additionally, the procedure was botched. However, the bill was paid in full. Now, three years later, for some reason they reported the bill past due to a collection agency.Backstory:During a routine cleaning the dentist noted that two wisdom tooth should be extracted for hygiene reasons. I’ve switched dental care providers (for reasons I’ll say shortly). The correct tooth wasn’t extracted during the procedure and since, my new practice has deemed the tooth is actually perfectly fine and not at any risk whatsoever. I’ve had no issues with it in the past three years since.I was confused at first. Wasn’t I way past the age of wisdom tooth issues? I’ve never had problems or pains in the past. However the doctor was insistent that this these teeth could be at risk for cavity and infection. So, I trusted him and scheduled the appointment. Huge mistake.So here’s the deal with the procedure:The doctor prescribed a sedative which I took exactly as prescribed. At the office I continuously complained that the sedative hadn’t yet kicked in. The doctor pressured me into the procedure regardless saying don’t worry, it’s working, you just don’t know it. Actually, the sedative only kicked in AFTER I left the dental office on the ride home. I was completely lucid for the entire extraction of thee teeth.Now here’s the real kicker: the doctor removed three teeth from my mouth and left the one tooth he was most concerned about. Two perfectly good teeth were removed. They claimed they were out of time and stopped the procedure. They ACTUALLY said that they had other extractions to perform on other patients who are waiting. They kicked me out of the office with an incomplete procedure, as the sedatives were starting to kick in, and told me to make another appointment (obviously I did not). They took advantage of me when I was most vulnerable.I trusted these people. It’s clear that they’re only concerned with their patient’s money and not their well being. After this botched procedure I only wanted to distance myself from this as much as possible. I should have wrote this review sooner but was too embarrassed. Now, adding literal insult to injury, they send a bill that I paid three years ago in full, to collections! During a pandemic! They must be going bankrupt. Hopefully. Buyer beware.

I was a little nervous to try this practice as I read more recent reviews. However, since visiting this office, I really cannot understand the negative experiences listed below. I have had 3 really great appointments so far, including a night guard fitting and a deep clean. I was always given pricing before anything was started, and felt comfortable asking questions. The front desk receptionist is very kind and puts you at ease, as both the hygienist and Dentist are easy to talk to and respectful of your time. Id say if youre looking for a new dental office I recommend this one 100%

Very unprofessional team. After my visit I called 3 times requesting to be sent a copy of my file. I was told that itll be sent right away. I never received anything. When I called for a 4th time, I got told that it takes them 7 BUSINESS days to send me my file. Not only it takes them forever to send a simple email, but they also lie about it continuously. Now I have to go to another dentist and pay again.

I was happy with my experience coming here before, but I’m knocking a star off my review because of an uncomfortable experience I had today. Let’s just say a good nurse is EVERYTHING for a dentist’s patient.Last time, the nurse was on top of it! Catching everything & making sure I was comfortable. An easy breezy experience. Today, with a different nurse, I kept choking on saliva(+) because the nurse wasn’t being attentive enough to catch everything that was going into my throat. She also completely left a few times so I didn’t have anyone to help clear the mess in my mouth while the Dr. was working.The Dr. is always super nice, but I was thrown off when he defended her instead of believing me, the patient, who was clearly choking… He brushed my discomfort off, saying it was because my throat was numb(it wasn’t), and at the end he appeared to “quit” and said if I’m not happy with it to just “come back tomorrow” which also felt pretty rude. I didn’t make a big deal out of it, but my throat is definitely NOT numb and I was simply not taken care of by this nurse in the way I would expect from any dentist office. After he defended her and assured me that she was doing her job, she FINALLY started catching everything more carefully, but this only happened at the end of our session, after I had to take breaks because I was choking so much & feeling claustrophobic from it. The nurse apologized at the end. I think she knew she wasn’t doing her best.Anyway, I’m just leaving this here in hopes the nurses at this establishment understand how important their role is for our comfort. Please don’t leave us to choke! Your care and attention makes or breaks this experience.

Today I received a phonecall indicating that I had been undercharged at an August 2020 appointment, nearly ONE YEAR later. Despite the fact that Gentle Care Dentists staff made this error and caught it months later (according to the receptionist who called me), Gentle Care Dentists made no attempts to inform me that the error occurred or that I (supposedly) owed more than I paid back in August. I only received todays call because the balance was about to incur late fees. Service has been underwhelming, and while I understand that errors occasionally occur, I am absolutely appalled by how this situation was handled.

DO NOT GO.Similar to other reviews, dentist recommended a significant amount of work on my teeth. Did not get a 2nd opinion and proceeded to get the work done they recommended. Now I have to go to a 2nd dentist to get teeth re-checked. On top of that, their billing service is a mess, with little information given regarding how much you owe. They claim I underpaid, which my insurance company even refutes as at outrageous claim. Would not recommend.

Very Unprofessional! Do not go here! Please save yourself time by booking with another dental office. Front office staff do not communicate well. I literally just left there today. Never in my life have I ever left a Google review, so this goes to show you how unprofessional and upset I am. I made a last-minute appointment, they let me know that they could fit me in. Upon arriving they did let me know that I would have to take a Covid test because I am unvaccinated. I agreed to take the Covid test and I filled out some paperwork to give consent. Neither the woman who walked over and gave me the Covid test nor in the consent form does it explain that you have to pay for the Covid test that they are giving you. For all that matter, I could have went to CVS pharmacy and got a free Covid test. I asked for an estimate of the price that I will be paying based on the service that I needed after my insurance covered a percentage. The office could not give me that information. I like to know things upfront because I know how expensive dental offices can be. The woman informed me that because they did not let me know that I would have to pay for the Covid test that my insurance will pay for it. My question is how does the woman know that my insurance will cover the cost of the Covid test but she is unable to give me an estimate of how much my bill would be after my insurance cover the work that I needed. There was an extreme lack of communication as well as I spent over 50 minutes in the waiting room without even being seen. A man walked in 40 minutes after I arrived and he was able to be seen. I was concerned because I booked an emergency appointment. Needless to say I went to another days. Please, save your time. I hope this review helps this dental office become better and learn from their mistakes because I understand that things do happen however like I said before I have never live a Google review in my life and I am highly upset

They lied to me about the state of my teeth - told me I had cavities and needed deep cleaning. I learned neither was true after consulting with another dentist. For their treatment for my supposed cavities they put sealant on the tops of my teeth - a procedure generally reserved for children under 6 to PREVENT cavities not treat them. They also overcharged me and once I learned from my insurance what the actual rate was, it took me two months to get my money back from them. Please don’t waste your time by going to this place.

I was worried for my safety when a procedure went terribly wrong. None of the staff seemed to care and even berated me as if it was my fault. Both procedures I’ve had here have been extremely painful during and after. This was also not of concern to the staff. I was also misled and mischarged on several occasions and it took a year to get through to the billing manager who was plain mean to me, and fixed nothing.

Dr Chang is very nice, and he answered all my questions with patience. I really appreciated that he empathized my situation and gave his professional opinion on the options I have. Unfortunately I don’t have insurance (I purchased a dental saving plan but it didn’t actually bring down the total cost!), this office is definitely at the higher end of pricing. I compared the quotes from another dental office and here the price is doubled.The front desk is ridiculously unprofessional. I made my first appointment on Zocdoc, the front desk called me and told me to cancel on that website. I asked her then what are the availability they have, she didn’t know... it took her a while to call me back with the doctor’s availability, and told me the doctor I booked cannot performance treatment I needed, so I asked for her recommendation and she gave me a last name. I asked what’s the doctor’s full name (I was going to do some due diligence for sure) and she didn’t know! She didn’t know the name of the doctor she was recommending! Ok, this should have been the red flag, but I went anyway. While we are waiting for the COVID test results to come out, I asked if I may use the restroom and one of the front desk person didn’t let me go until we get the results. I totally understand, but after a few minutes another lady saw me and asked if I needed to go to the restroom. I ran to use the restroom and I felt my most miserably intolerable 15 minutes were sacrificed with no meaning. After the diagnosis the front desk went over the price breakdown with me, and again rudely.Overall experience was fine with the doctor, but the front desk was improvising and unprofessional.

Similar to other recent reviews - I went in for a routine checkup, they didnt give me a routine clean (instead pushing me to get a deep clean and making me set up a follow up appointment) after checking their online reviews and getting a second opinion - I cancelled my follow up and was hit with a bill overcharging me for what they did (aka 1/2 of a routine dental appointment). I would not recommend you go here.

Worst dentist I have ever been to hands down. They did not fix the problem I had, I had to go get a second opinion which actually had a completely different diagnosis. Then they WAY over charged me for my services and then double bill my insurance for part of the portion I paid. Incredibly dishonest and horrible customer service. I would not recommend them to ANYONE.

Beware of this dentist. Various reviews here but I had a terrible experience. Be careful of your questions when seeing if they take your insurance. For instance, I asked if they took my insurance and they replied yes. This was true but they were out of network and charged a premium for it (over $700 for cleaning and routine cavity X-ray). Ask are you in my insurances network. The second issue is that the dentist stated that I had four cavities and tried to schedule a date to remove them. I got a second opinion from a dentist and they informed me that I did not have any cavities. Use serious caution with this business.

This was my first time going to this office. Tina was the first person to see and consult with me and she was absolutely AMAZING! She gave me so much helpful information and even told me services I was recommended by my previous dental office were not even necessary. It just shows how important it is to always get a second opinion. I’m so happy with the services I was offered today and am considering making a full switch to this dental office!

This dentist office over charged me. They never verified my insurance coverage. I paid the amount that was given to me of out of pocket cost at time of service. They then told me that I have $1100 balance and can not complete my treatment until its paid. This dentist then added that I needed additional treatment in the form of a root canal. Which was never part of the original treatment plan.Because of their unprofessional, unethical business practices, I am now left to pay for services that were never completed and my insurance has paid all that they will pay towards it.

Unethical, unprofessional staff and doctor! Not only their so called doctor humiliated us with all unethical statements, like we never done deep cleaning which we do regularly and stating that whatever has been done for us in the past was “cheap” and “no good” but their front desk refused to send me the copies of x-rays which we paid for. She claimed she doesn’t know how to do it... I mean you’re at the front and don’t know how, then it’s a huge problem! And she noted she doesn’t care if I get the file of x-ray for which we paid out of picket $200.00I’ll make a complaint to appropriate health department so that their licenses can be reviewed! It is completely unprofessional place which is dangerous for public health!

I had a scheduled appointment a couple weeks ago. They sat me in the back relatively quickly, then I sat there until 45 minutes after my appointment time. I stopped some one in the hall and asked why. She said that I needed to see the periodontist and I it wasnt authorized, I told her I was to there for an exam. She left to get check on it and another girl came back and said, were sorry the dentist had to leave for an emergency. Aweful suspicious. I rescheduled my appointment for today, got there and was told that I didnt have an appointment.One if the girls behind the desk kept giving me dirty/smug looks as she applied her make up.I think Im going to have to find another dentist.

When I arrived for my appointment Was told that I needed to pay 90 usd for covid testing before my visit. I asked why I was not informed about this while making my appointment over the phone. Then she said “ we are sorry but this is a precaution for our staff and you. “ After I told them I would like to cancel they incrementally first decreased it to 45 usd then 0 usd. Does anybody think this is ethical in a health care office?

DO NOT COME HERE! As countless reviews have mentioned, I confirmed prior to my appointment that they took my insurance and did not want X-rays and to be seen if not. Almost a year later, I got a large bill in the mail because they are out of network.I have never had a dental issue in my life and all of a sudden they told me I had six cavities and they made me feel like the most disgusting creature in the world. Got a second opinion and you can guess what they told me.The hygienist also slipped with her instruments and cut the roof of my mouth.What has reminded me to write this review is their nonstop text reminders that I’m due for a cleaning, despite me asking to be removed multiple times.I’ve literally never taken the energy to write a bad review but they are just that bad..

I recently had three of my wisdom teeth extracted. I was sent to this location by Soft Touch Dentists. I can truly say that I am extremely pleased with the service I received. The receptionist was great, the dental assistant was kind and friendly, and the oral surgeon was fantastic. He took the time to explain the procedure and he did everything possible to ensure that I was comfortable. I would highly recommend this dental office.

Turns out, the dentist they set me up with was NOT in-network with my insurance and there was NO warning about this. Of course, I have since changed employers and tracking down this information with the old insurance was a huge hassle. I feel pretty misled about what to expect, particularly since Id had such a smooth experience the first time.I would NOT go back for a checkup again.

Great experience. only complaint was that I was not told whether my insurance was in-network or not. On the flip side, they did help me sign up for a way to pay for the much needed dental work.Tina, my hygienist, showed great care and was very personable. I have been to Gentle Care Dentists twice and I have really enjoyed it both times. The staff are very nice and the entire process went smoothly. My hygienist was very thorough (more so than other places) so I know my teeth are clean. I made a third appointment for next year!

2021: wouldn’t recommend - the staff upfront was unprofessional and the main dentist was late to get there to more than one appointment I had there. They told me I had 7 cavities, after never having one before in my life. I unfortunately didn’t get a second opinion and got them all filled, one of which was pretty painful. In the end, I’m not sure it was necessary. I switched dentists after this and wouldn’t recommend.2018: Very friendly staff who made the visit feel so comfortable to me. Very up to date in all their technology. And a pain free, quick cleaning.

There was a delay in starting my appointment but as soon as I flagged that I was short on time I was seen. The dentist did my teeth cleaning which I am unaccustomed to (at other dentists I have seen a dental hygienist). There was a lot more water sprayed on my face than I’m typically used to, but they were sure to wipe it off. The staff was friendly. It was an acceptable dental experience.

Gentle Care is a fitting name for this dentist office and illustrates their strength. The staff is supremely friendly, responsive to your needs/concerns during procedures, and not inclined to force you into procedures you dont want to have. I have been to a number of different dentist offices in my life and this one has by far been the most pleasant experience.While I can not speak highly enough of their quality of service, I also can not deny that the accounting portion does leave something to be desired. Costs do not always add up to what was expected and in general the billing can be quite confusing. My review remains high however, as it was nothing fraudulent - just need to make sure you take the time to understand the procedures and their costs.All things considered, Id highly recommend giving this office a try - especially if youve found going to the dentist to be an unpleasant experience in the past.

Was rescheduled one day before, waited for 90 minutes and doctor never showed up. details: Scheduled two weeks ago for 8am appointment, got notified doctor has schedule change one day before. Rescheduled to noon. Arrived onsite at the rescheduled time, waited for half an hour and doctor nowhere to be seen. Was told she was ‘stuck on something’. Then after 10 mins was asked to do an X-ray and said the doctor is here. After X-ray and waited another 5 mins realized doctor never arrived. Walked out.

The dentist was professional, very kind, and took the time to explain the treatment plan. The cleaning was a little rushed, but it was done by the dentist and not a hygienist. My only real complaint was on the administrative side. They didnt tell me until the morning of that they needed me to call my insurance company and get some ID number, and only when I came in for my appointment (it was the end of December) did they tell me that I had already used my two check-ups for the year and I had to reschedule for January. It wasnt a big deal since I live close by, but it could have been handled the day before if they had been on top of it.

Make sure you avoid this place if you dont want to be misled about your insurance coverage. They didnt inform me that my visit was going over my allotment for coverage for the year, so now I got stuck paying a bill over $130 instead of informing me that would happen. And they threatened my credit!Absolutely disgraceful and tasteless.

My teeth cleaning experience was positive. I mentioned that I thought my wisdom tooth was bugging me, so we decided to go big and remove all four. If you have four, impacted teeth - go find a different office. Its not that they didnt do a fine job on the surgery, its that they dont have general anesthesia. YOU SHOULD NOT BE AWAKE FOR THIS PROCESS. I REPEAT YOU SHOULD NOT BE AWAKE. Laughing gas is not enough. You can feel the pain. I sobbed three times during the procedure.Also no one told me what it was going to cost or anything beforehand - they said either your insurance is going to cover this or youll have to pay $1,000. I dont know why I thought that was okay, but since I had waited 40 min for the doctor at my consultation appt, I didnt press and just wanted to go home.

The front desk will go above and beyond with the treatment planning and coordination with the insurance company. They also offer payment plans (which was super helpful because I needed a root canal and crown!) Please remember that people are more likely to post negative reviews because they didnt agree with something so dont believe everything that you might read on other opinion sites--this does not mean that the office is bad, just a bad fit for that person. I wholly recommend this dentist!

I have had 2 cleanings and 1 filling replacement and 1 crown. Dr. Scotti has been great along with his staff. They answer questions along the way if needed and keep you informed.

Long wait times and slow staff even though we had scheduled appointments for our family. Nice people overall, but we all had cavities, which made us think they are looking to do some medically unnecessary procedures.

All went well and friendly reception. Gives friendly reminders to fill out all sections when completing forms, and same dentist treatment, who remembers background history and persistent performance in keeping teeth clean at least twice a day.

Ive only had great experiences at Gental Dental! Today I had a tooth removed. It was numbed and taken out very swiftly and painlessly. They are by far my favorite dentists I have been to (and I have been to a lot of dentists).

I cant recommend these guys enough. I spent many years (over a decade) avoiding dentist visits because of previous bad experiences. Everyone at Gentle Care, from the front desk to the hygienist and doctors, were very friendly and extremely patient with me and my dental anxiety (along with ridiculous oral sensitivity) when I could no longer avoid a visit.They worked with me on a plan to get my teeth back in shape and helped me realize what bad habits were wrecking my teeth so I could work on them. I have already had several visits where all of my questions were answered thoroughly and Dr. K wasted no time in getting me to a specialist when he thought I needed one.Today I left a dentist office for the first time ever with a smile on my face.If youre looking for a reason NOT to go to this particular office, I dont really have one except to say to make sure to ask about cheaper options (such as metal vs ceramic type fillings) that may be available, which is easily overlooked in any other dentist office when youre paying out of pocket.

The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing and the dentist do a great job but one lady was quite rude but overall Ive had a great experience.

I was told Well you have the insurance, I dont understand why you dont get all your wisdom teeth removed. I dont think that having insurance is a compelling argument to have all my wisdom teeth removed.My previous dentists had made it clear that I did not need to get rid of them if they werent causing any problems.

Ive had a great experience with Gentle Care. The billing is reasonable and they always go to your insurance company first before they bill you. Dr. Scotty is the best and so is Carla, excellent chairside manner, very gentle and careful, and they actually listen to your concerns. The receptionist is also wonderful.On my second visit they gave me a full treatment plan to resolve all my problems that had built up over the past 6 or 7 years since my old dentist died. The plan itemized everything you need to make your mouth healthy with costs and breakdowns of how much will be patient costs and how much they estimate will be paid by your insurance. I have never gotten such a thing from a dentist before and its wonderful to be able to see ahead of time whats coming and be able to budget for it, and also to pick and choose which things you can afford to do first, second, and third. This itemized treatment plan alone with cost breakdowns is a fantastic service.I feel so lucky to have found them.

They were quick to help me, they took the time to hear my concerns and did a great job cleaning my teeth.
