I have used Wendroff for a couple years now and they are knowledgeable, professional, accurate and efficient and have been very responsive. When I chose to amend a previous year’s return because of an error I had made, they were helpful in explaining where I had gone wrong and offered an affordable way for me to address it so it wouldn’t be a problem in the future. I like the fact they have built in quality control also so there is always a second set of eyes on my return before it’s sent to me. They are the best!

Not impressed. First of all, I had to call them because they were 10 minutes late to our initial phone call. When we spoke, the guy was clearly not paying attention and was busy doing other things. This in and of itself is not a big deal. Just a bad first impression (and indicative of the level of service I could expect).Mr. Wendroff consistently—and with an arrogant tone—mentioned how he couldnt give me any advice during this call since I wasnt a client. To which I replied, I understand that. Im not asking for your advice. Im asking that, given [the summary of all my financial events in 2020], are there potential pitfalls or complications that in your professional opinion might be challenging to navigate without professional help?I expected a (polite) response along the lines of, Well, of course we cant say for sure until we evaluate your entire situation as a client. But certainly given the scenarios you mentioned, theres always a potential for X or Y to happen, and most people arent aware of Laws A and B that could apply. There are many subtleties and conditions that could drastically change how youd want to file your taxes, which probably warrant professional evaluation.Instead, I got a couple of scoffs, responses that made me sound stupid for even calling, and a hurried attempt to end the conversation.The worst businesses expect their customers to tell them exactly what they need and want from them, especially when it involves professional services. The best ones can take the lead to ask the right questions and direct conversations towards helping a client decide if a companys services are right for them or not. Mr. Wendroffs company is not the latter.

Wendroff & Associates CPA are truly the best! I was SOO happy to have someone help me with the worst part of being an adult - taxes - I LOATHE taxes but Tariq and the team made it so painless. Trust me, the money you pay for an accountant is so much better than trying to do it yourself and finding out you owe IRS even more money 🥺 Also they will make sure you aren’t overpaying, because who wants to do that?They have a very streamlined online system that also makes it easy to keep everything in one place and if you are a repeat customer you can see your past tax history (love that!) all I was responsible for was to uploading the necessary documents, reviewing aand signing!! However whenever I had encountered a return prepared by Wendroff I had a much higher level of confidence.I decided that I had outgrown my accountant of 5 years and so it was an easy decision to switch to Wendroff (given my previous exposure). The transition was painless! Moreover, I had a tight timeline this year due to needing my financial info submitted to colleges my son was applying to by the deadline of March 1. Within 7 - 10 business days from receiving my books from the bookkeepers they were able to finish my personal returns and returns for two business entities. They work closely with me to provide me with advice and peace of mind on what to expect to pay in taxes. Emails and phone calls are always returned promptly and they are available throughout the year, not just at tax crunch time.

AVOID! I give this place one star for having the ability to schedule a meeting virtually. Spoke with a Darren who was 5 minutes late to the call and never apologized. Shared my needs with him, which he then continued to mansplain stuff to me assuming that I have no knowledge of taxes. Asked him how his firm is different and he said go look online and check out our amazing reviews... anyway he stated that he was going to email with a proposal which I have yet to receive. Good to know that this tax firm is reliable in following up with prospective customers. I dont see how this firm has supposedly amazing reviews when you have a director of comms that is unprofessional. Hope the owner sees this and resolves this issue.

Wendroff & Associates has been awesome to work with. We originally hired them to help our company reconcile Quickbooks with our actual bank balances. They went through 3 years worth of transactions and did an excellent job.After balancing our books, we hired them to do our company taxes. Brian was able to identify a tax deduction that our previous CPA had overlooked. This deduction saves us several thousand dollars each year, and he was able to amend our returns to take advantage of this deduction for the 3 most recent tax years that we had filed through our previous CPA.

This is a great firm, with ok customer service, however if you are an international nonprofit and looking for 990 service with schedule I and other extra forms, I would not recommend them at all, this is clearly not their speciality. We had our audit and now we have to amend the form 990 , We had given them full access to our data and warned them that it is our first filing in this capacity, unfortunately it seems like they missed some information.

My husband and I moved from California about two years ago. The first year we moved we had to file two returns and also had some real estate issues that needed to be sorted out. Our previous returns had been fairly straight forward up until this point so I was stressing a bit. A friend referred me to an accountant that wanted to charge us an insane amount of money to prepare the returns. I started searching on the internet for a second opinion so to speak, and Wendroff & Associates came up as highly rated so I figured I would give it a shot. I think I initially sent them an email and got a return email and phone call almost right away from a CPA at the firm. The CPA assured me that our tax returns were not complicated and that they knew exactly what to do. I had such confidence in them after my phone conversation that I decided to use them. They charged me 1/4 of what the other CPA wanted to charge me! We are now permanent clients of Wendroff & Associates. We always get excellent service from their entire staff and Brian Wendroff will often touch base with us and take care of certain issues personally. We do not have the most complex tax return at this point--we are standard tax preparation clients that usually only need assistance during tax season however, I would not go anywhere other than Wendroff & Associates.

Good tax prep CPAs are far and in between. Good tax prep CPAs who can also prepare international tax forms [1040NR] are very very rare. I found myself looking for one such CPA a few months ago. Although filing taxes using the Non Resident form is something Ive done for the past tax seasons, I had some complications that needed an eagle eyed CPA.After doing some searching on Yelp and Google Places, I found Wendroff and Associates. All I have to say about them is, they are AWESOME!!! Brian, Kim, Jennifer, Darren and others at Wendroff & Associates were awesome at communicating efficiently and effectively, preparing the needed forms without error and putting together the whole package without needing a visit from me in person. Yes, you read that right! The Wendroff team is pretty tech savvy and I did not need to visit their office at all.The tax prep was painless as well. They just gave me a list of supporting documents they needed from me and I could sent those in by email [scanned copies], mail [photocopies] or in person. I chose to email them because it was simpler. They got back to me with some supplementary questions they had and voila, my tax preparation was done. They emailed me a duplicate set of prepared tax forms and mailed me a set of original tax forms with supporting documents neatly stapled, with envelopes to mail them in, address labels and another set of duplicate forms.To sum up, I highly recommend Brian and his team for a quick, efficient, painless and awesome tax preparation service, even for those filing non-resident taxes.Update: 05/28/2013I had to contact Wendroff & Associates recently because I wanted to send in one of my forms late, due to an address change. When a lawyer setup Execware, LLC for me several years ago, I asked about a CPA.He recommended Wendroff. I made an appointment, and although I it was essentially a start-up, Brian himself spent an hour acquainting himself with my situation and explaining what they could do. There was no pressure, simply guidance. I followed their advice re QuickBooks Online, and they created in it a chart of accounts from my predecessor corporation in another state. Questions I had werequickly and thoroughly answered. At tax time, Virginia and IRS, I relax and they do whats needed.
