**alterations** MelissaI have heard so many horror stories of the alterations department. I even have one myself. I bought my dress from David’s bridal. I then had my first alterations appointment and this is where I met Melissa. She was perfect! She is so sweet and funny. The 2nd appointment I was suppose to pick up my dress (a week before my wedding). I tried it on and almost everything was wrong. The straps were not even, the trim was done so wrong, and I had to let out my sides just a bit and they did not replace the beads that was in my belt. I talked to Melissa and she let me know she was out the week prior due to a family emergency and gave me reinsurance that she will fix everything. She then gave me a 2 day turn around to fix all of the imperfections. When I returned to pick my dress up- everything was perfect!! If you get alterations please ask for Melissa, anyone else you get, you’re wasting your time!I had an issue with my maid of honors dress as well and Melissa fixed it within a day! She deserves to be the manager of the department she is the best!

I hope future brides and bridesmaids are made to feel special and are given suggestions to help them find the best dress for them! I feel as though I would have had a better time WITHOUT the stylist helping me. She wasnt helpful, useful, or kind.. just dry and dismissive. I dont think she wanted to be there, or enjoys her job whatsoever, and her attitude impacted my experience in a negative way. Oddly enough, when I had been to Davids bridal 2 years prior casually looking, the stylist was great, and my experience was awesome.. but when it came time to find the actual dress for my wedding, it was not a good time. Anyway, just keep in mind that attitude matters.

Latoya was incredible to us! Came with my sister in law and niece since we’re her bridesmaids. We came looking for a petal pink dress, wasn’t sure what type I would want but she got my measurements and had me choose from styles i liked on a tablet. She brought us our dresses and helped with anything we needed. She made my niece feel comfortable with the whole experience and made sure she found a dress where she herself felt comfortable! Once we found our dresses, she ordered them for us and gave us huge discounts! Couldn’t be happier!

Kenya C. was professional and very sweet. I really enjoyed my experience trying on dresses. My 6 month old was getting cranky toward the end and employees entertained her for me so I could finish up. It was so sweet of them.

I worked with 2 different ladies to find my wedding dress. The first was helpful, the second was just doing her job. I found one dress I liked the first visit and chose it as the best fit the second visit. For whatever reason, I didnt get to say yes to my dress like 2 other brides had done before me. I guess if you dont spend enough on your dress, its nothing to celebrate. I was hoping for more inspiration and support from Davids Bridal, but Im glad I found a dress I liked. Ill have to go back for alterations and accessories in August when the dress is shipped to the store. We will see how it all turns out for my October wedding!

I just want to say alteration department at Davids Bridal in the Arlington Highlands. Took care of my dress that I had bought elsewhere and now it fits like a dream. Thank you so much ❤️

Horrible! From appointment for trying dresses on to the last alteration appointment. I will never buy from them again or recommend anyone. If you have to do alterations there ask for Melissa. She is the best worker there. Her customer service is a 10! They completely messed up my dress. I’m praying Melissa can come through for me and my daughter’s wedding. For them to be in business to serve people on their most important day of there life. Wow!! Costumer Service is horrible all they care about is money. They order a size to big just so I could pay for alterations. My alterations cost the same amount for the dress and completely destroyed the dress. Now, I’m out all that money and a dress! Horrible!!

My daughter went with her 7 bridesmaids to try on dresses. They pressured them to buy the dresses in-store rather than go home and buy online because they couldnt guarantee they would arrive on time if they were ordered online. It was 6-1/2 months before the wedding. So they did all order dresses. Only one has arrived. Some of them are not supposed to be in for another 3+ months. Now the wedding has sadly been called off. I went in to get the store credit for the one that had already arrived and to find out if I could cancel the other dresses or would have to wait until they arrived to return them. They said that because they ordered in-store rather than going home and ordering online, the 7 day return window started when I paid. If they had ordered online, they would have 7 days from when the merchandise arrived. Now I understand why they pressured them to buy in-store. This is totally wrong, especially when they told them they could get a refund within 7 days and pressured them not to go home and order. They were not clear about when that 7 day window started. How could I possible return something that I havent even received? This was not at all clear and it is totally misleading and deceptive. I would certainly never order anything in-store from them again and to be honest, I would steer clear of buying anything from them. How on earth is this fair or right?

I booked my sister a bridal dress appointment since I got my dress here 8 years ago. They have only gotten better and they were great before. Anna R helped her find the most perfect dress even though my sister went in without any idea of what she was looking for. Thank you guys for another great experience!!

Kenya was SPECTACULAR! She did an Excellent job and was very helpful. I felt very BEAUTIFUL and she did everything she could to get me the perfect dress. She would even ask me questions on what would make the dress a 10!

I was overly excited about my upcoming appointment at Davids Bridal on 07/18/2021 as a newly engaged bridal I couldnt wait to get the full experience of shopping for the dress of my dreams. I walked in the lady at the front was very pleasant and inviting, she even took her time to show me around the showroom floor of what the store had to offer. She stated Anna would be our consultant and would be with us shortly. As soon as she walked up, she was very rude clearly stated to me I only had 60 minutes of her time and she was moving to the next customer. She did ask me the style of dresses I like, I told her I was really unsure but my options were open. She presided to say, Well you got to tell me what you like so I can know where we need to start!! She always spoke in a rushing manner and as if she really didnt have the time or interest to work with me. So, I over looked her as maybe being tired or giving her the benefit of the doubt. My maid of honor and sister helped me select a few dresses to try on and we headed back to the fitting room. While trying on the dresses the consultant was very rude to me as she huffed and puffed and made me feel like I was in her way and she would rather be doing something else. She also engaged with other brides of a different nationality and seem to be more cheerful to offer her services to them rather than me. Her body language, tone and behaviors geared more towards my race than anything. Nevertheless, I purchased a dress but since felt the need to return it. I refuse to support a business where employees are allowed to racial profile customers for their own person reasons. She ruined my buying experience with David Bridal .

Very helpful! Went in to help get my sister a prom dress that is just 2 weeks way. Yes, I know last minute. But we were able to find her a dress, but they didnt have her size. They found one at another store and were able to get it shipped in a few days. It needed to be altered and they were able to get us an appointment the same week even though they were fully booked. Amazing sales rep and manager. Funny and cared about our happiness. My sister loves her prom dress, couldnt have done it without them.

I ordered a dress at the Arlington Store and when it arrived, the dress didnt fit, it was too big from the top and very long. let me remind you that they took my measurements ahead of time. I was told I had to make an appointment to get the alterations done, I made the appointment and asked how much would be the cost. The lady responded $150.00 to alter. This was for a dress that I purchased from them and that they measured me for. That is ridiculous pricing. You would think that if the dress already costed you $150 plus tax and rush fee that they would do alterations for free or at a deduced cost. Buyers beware of any Davids Bridal!! Never again will I buy from them.

It was an amazing experience at David’s Bridal today. The stylist that I had today was Faith and she was amazing. She did an exceptional job and I really appreciate her. She didn’t make me feel rushed and she was very patient. Beautiful personality. Ask for her next time you go!!

Had a wonderful experience, found my dress the first day! Big thanks to the awesome team at David’s Bridal! My stylist, Renee, was such a big help and made it so easy and fun! She was super knowledgeable and helped me find the one! Melissa in alterations was also amazing! My wedding is coming up soon, and they were able to accommodate alterations in my time frame as well as budget. Thanks again!!!!

I have been to this Davids Bridal location twice and have had nothing but great experiences!! Every employee that I have encountered has been great but my sales consultant Lali, Melissa in alterations, and the manager of this location were soooo helpful! I live very close to another location and had bad experiences there. I chose to drive out of my way in hopes of having a better experience and I was not disappointed!!! They were all so helpful and after I changed my mind on my first dress, they helped me find my perfect wedding dress that I love as well as helping my mom mom find her dress that will be here in time for my wedding. Mrs. Nancy and the alterations crew worked a miracle on my dress. We chose a new dress that wasnt in store to try on because its a cut to order dress. So once my dress arrived 2 months later it was a size to small. With 2weeks prior to the event they allowed me to walk in and take care of everything.

Callie helped me find my Wedding Gown today! She was kind, so helpful and made the entire process wonderful. She was able to read my style, pick gowns that were flattering to my body style and also beautiful. I never would have picked the Gown I chose off the shelf, but Callie knew!The rest of the staff was also as kind as could be, and cheered for the 3 brides that found their gowns while I was there.I could not be more thankful for such a perfect experience-it was EXACTLY what a bride dreams of when picking a dress. I was so nervous because I didn’t think I was going to find my dress at all. I made sure I did my style profile days before going in the store for my appointment. When I arrived from my appointment my Stylist Renae was well prepared she ran everything by me that I needed to know and also let me know everything we were going to be doing today. She listened to my request on what type of dresses I liked and also showed me some samples based on my style profile. Within the first 3 dresses I tried on I found my dress and my shoes that I’m wearing on my big day. I appreciate Renae so much and I thank her for being patient with me and my goofy bridesmaids. We had a great time and she made sure I was squared away with everything before I left. Ladies if you need a stylist please request Renae Bowman she is the sweetest, funniest, and caring stylist I could ever come across. Thank you again Renae I appreciate you.

Shout out to America at the front desk!!We arrived in the middle of chaos. Not bc of the store, just a busy time of day. There was a little bit of a wait so we looked around while we waited to be helped. It appeared that there was a miscommunication somewhere along the way and no one ever came to find us. We went back up front to see about getting a room to try on the bridesmaid dresses I had found. I was placed on a waitlist which was a little annoying as we were there before majority of the people currently in rooms but we made the best of it.They did not have the style I wanted in my size. This is where America then took charge of the whole situation. She spent atleast 45minutes on the phone with other stores tracking one down to have shipped to us and had that store call me directly for payment so we didn’t have to wait at the store. Her taking ownership definitely turned an experience that started off frustrating into a pleasant experience!!!

Great experience. Shopping for a formal outfit for my 40th birthday. Ivory and Toya were very helpful in helping me decide what I wanted and where to get it. I wish they advertised themselves as more than just a bridal shop. I would have visited long ago.

Returned to the Arlington store to look for bridesmaid dresses after a positive experience buying my wedding dress a month prior. We had an appointment and Michelle helped us out. She was very knowledgeable and caring throughout the whole process. She gave us advice and found dresses that were fitting to my taste. After one stop, I picked the dress for my bridesmaids. I highly recommend this store! Thank you Michelle for your help!

Absolutely terrible service. At first we were told the original delivery date of the dresses we ordered was about a month before we needed them. Out of nowhere, they changed the delivery date on us. The new delivery was a week too late. When we called to get our refund, we were told that refunds cant be given over the phone, even though we originally bought the dresses over the phone. We tried having a normal conversation with them about a compromise but they got tired of us and hung up. We live close to 2 hours from this store. Going in person is not really an option.I wish I could give negative stars for how rude and impatient we were treated.

She assisted me with both of my appointments and didn’t stop having me try on dresses until I felt absolutely perfect in my dress! She took her time with me and made sure I had time to think about how I felt. I loved her energy and how super sweet she is! Definitely ask for Anna when you stop by here!! You’ll feel like your wedding day is the day you try on a dress with Anna. Special shout out to Citlali for tag teaming during a busy hour. They both helped me say YES to my perfect dress!

I am torn between the excellent service and care provided by the consultant, Anna-Lisa, and the inconsiderate actions of the manager, Chanell. The consultant was kind and extremely helpful. She was patient as we tried on dresses. The manager however was really rude to my very pregnant sister. She tried to force her to wear a mask while in the store even after us telling her she was pregnant, asthmatic and fully vaccinated. I understand the need to protect all involved, which we did by getting vaccinated, but there was no care given to my sister or my unborn niece.

Hannah was outstanding! I would recommend her to anyone that want to look their best! She didnt pressure me into choosing a dress and I actually went twice and both times she allowed me to picture myself on my wedding day with each dress Ive tried on. Overall I had a great experience! 🙂

It was the perfect bridesmaid dress shopping experience at David’s Bridal. I had an early appointment and Renae took care of me like a charm! She made dress shopping for a plus sized girl so fun easy and comfortable. Super amazing atmosphere all around. Highly recommend.

Nicole was great. I knew exactly what I wanted when I came in. I found the dress and tried it on. I decided on the spot it was what I wanted. She went to get the alterations staff and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I had some anxiety about trying it on but she made me feel comfortable. Overall it was a good experience and I recommend this store and Nicole to anyone who needs to get a dress.

I walked into David’s Bridal on Thursday needing a plus size dress for Saturday. Renae quickly pulled multiple dresses for me and didn’t try to oversell me anything. The first one she pulled was 50% off and fit perfectly. Thank you so much Renae!

Came here today with my mom to look at something she wanted to try on for my wedding. She was so excited to make an appointment and go. The stylist we got was awful. She barely said a word and when we asked her anything she acted annoyed. I am so glad I got my dress at a different location because if she had been my bridal stylist I would have been in tears. Maybe she was just having a bad day (I like to give people the benefit of the doubt), but her sour attitude definitely ruined our experience there.

We had a great experience with Anna in the Arlington Highlands David’s Bridal. I tried on several bridal gowns and my bridesmaids tried on a few dresses. Anna was able to help us narrow down what we were looking for. It was a very busy and chaotic store, which made the experience a little less pleasant, but it was a saturday. So I can’t blame them at all for managing so many people all at once. Looking forward to my next appointment with Anna! ✨UPDATE: I found my dress! AND my reception dress AND my bridal shower dress! Renae was absolutely amazing!! The first time I came I left unsure and felt as if my consultant didn’t really sell me or help me. Renae on the other hand has a wonderful eye and was able to to help me find my PERFECT dress along with the accessories and she was also able to answer every question I had and gave me great advice.

Great experience from beginning to end. The staff was pleasant, very helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable.

One of the managers (I think) JuJu did a fantastic job. She took me in last minute, 2 weeks before my wedding, and helped me find the PERFECT dress. It took some time, and quite a few dresses tried on, but her and the staff worked together and took in all my critiques and helped get me in the right direction towards the end goal. I went home today with dream gown, and it DIDNT break my bank! LOVE LOVE LOVE. Highly recommend.

My daughter was looking for a very specific veil that David’s was no longer carrying. We got to the store rather late 30 minutes before they closed. The girls were so great!! Renae and Anna went above and beyond to find the store that had this veil in stock! They called several stores and found one that was was in originally packaging and had it shipped to my home!! To all the girls working tonight..thank you!!

I went there to find a brides maid dress for a wedding that I am in, it was crunch time and Amanda and the alterations team jumped into action!! I love the dress, it fits like a glove in all the right places and will definitely call for Amanda when my big day comes!

Buy your dress and take it somewhere else to get the alterations done. My dress has 2 layers, they did the top layer too short so they asked me to wait 20 minutes for them to fix it. When I tried it on again it was still too short but now one side of the hem is higher than the other. The lady kept saying it was fine by tugging the layers down & swinging the dress around but its obviously uneven. Waste of $65 just on the alterations. Buy your dress & get it altered by someone who knows what they are doing.

This location has FANTASTIC customer service. I was so anxious about my wedding dress and went to this location twice. Each time I went in, I was met with incredibly understanding and patient consultants and managers. They were so supportive and let me take my time to find what I really loved. I finally ended up finding THE dress last night. I am so incredibly thankful for everyone there!

I bough my dress here , but i left it for some alterations , they just ruine the dress , the add some sleeves , the inside parts where some longer than others , they himmed my dress they cutted the designs and is very noticeable.

Andrea Hernandez was so patient and helpful. The whole experience was awesome. I never felt rushed or in a hurry to get a dress. I went to the Davids bridal off of Hulen park dr. The whole staff was so friendly.

The only thing I liked about David’s bridal was the variety of dresses. The lady that was my stylist wasn’t a stylist. She didn’t even introduce herself to me. She didn’t ask what my dress inspiration was, I told her I wanted A-Line, gave her an idea of what I wanted and she brought me sheath dresses and the exact opposite of what I was going for. Everything she brought me was unflattering, she wasn’t listening to me at all. I feel like I wasted an hour looking for dresses. She was aggressive while putting the dresses on me, at one point she even snapped my back with the rubber band and didn’t apologize. When walking out of the room to show my bridesmaids she didn’t even flare out the train on the one dress I liked, my bridesmaid did it. This woman should not be a dress stylist. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or what but this experience was not positive. I’ll probably buy my dress elsewhere.

I wasn’t sure I was going to find my dress, I had a mind set of I been to 1 this is just probably another! I was definitely wrong, not only did I find my Dress my Bridesmaids also loved and found their dresses as well and they all looked amazing. Tears of joy! I went in panicked because the bridesmade dress I ordered from a different place wasnt on time, and I had zero time to wait and see if the dress would arrive on time, as the wedding was less than 5 days away. Lyndsey helped me, and she was absolutely wonderful! She was patient with me, she was thorough with her questions while inquiring what I was looking for, and she helped me get in and out in 20 minutes! I am so extremely grateful for her help, and grateful to Davids Bridal for hiring such a kind and patient person to work for them.

Nancy is fantastic! I went in for alterations for my wedding gown and my mom for her mother of the bride dress and both came out stunning 🤩 she even made me a custom tailored wedding jacket to match the colors of my dress after I provided the materials and it turned out phenomenal! She made the bottom of the dress reinforced with different buttons etc and hemmed it perfectly so that I could dance 💃🏻 with ease without worrying about tripping over my dress.

Went into the store today to my daughter Leah Williams fitted for a wedding gown, she chose a very beautiful mermaid style wedding gown that was priced at 1299.00, we were treated as if we had no money, they didn’t want to order the dress even though we had the 25% down and was ready to pay yet Leah was talked out of ordering the gown, I wanted to buy some shoes but was told that I needed an appointment even though the shoes was there and available. Very poor customer service that I didn’t expect from this location at all, we will not be purchasing her dress from David’s bridal

I had a bridesmaid dress appointment with Anna and it was a great experience. I had purchased the wrong size in a bridesmaid dress from an online company and needed to find something new FAST. When I told Anna the soon date she immediately found all the dresses that could be made in the color I needed and could be here before on time! Today is my alteration appointment and Im so happy!

I went to 4 different David’s bridal stores looking for the dress as a first time bride I was excited to get the the best experience and all I got was disappointment, until I went to This David’s Bridal I was amazed for the courtesy they give me at the entrance. I went with a dress style in my head and ended up with something totally different. America was amazing super patient, helpful, friendly. Highly recommended this location. For any future brides.

We had a wonderful experience at Davids Bridal in Arlington.Nicole was kind, helpful, patient, and didnt pressure us to exceed our planned budget. She listened to the Brides vision and brought her dresses accordingly. It was a fun hour and not stressful.

Very friendly, very helpful. Our party included all of our kids and the staff was so friendly. After walking around and looking at dresses we selected a few and waited for our time to go back. We did end up finding the one and I am so happy with the service we got! Edited to add. Had to go back amd make changes to the dress I had originally picked out and Julyana Little was such a HUGE help! She went above and beyond!

My mom sister and I went bridesmaids dress shopping and the staff was absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to find out dresses. Gillian and Channel was amazing in helping us find dresses we liked as well as getting our sizes and finding options to order online. They let us stay a little late trying to find our dresses. The customer service here is 10/10!

My first experience while looking for my wedding dress was okay. The woman that was helping us told us she had two brides so we had to wait on her a lot. Another woman came by to help and when I wanted to look at head pieces, I asked one of my bridesmaids to come look with me and the lady said, “I want just YOU to look at them, I want you to pick something that YOU like, not your friend.” Isn’t that the whole reason for having your support with you? To look at different things and have some input?I had my shoulders altered and larger bra cups put in and scheduled an appointment to have it hemmed once I chose my shoes.I had an appointment to get it hemmed at 10:30 when they opened. As usual, I was early to the appointment but waited in my car until 10:25 when I saw them unlock the door for someone else. I walked up to the store and the door was locked again. I stood at the door and had 4 women walk past and look at me and ignore the fact that I was standing at the door. At 10:30 another employee was banging on the door so that someone would let her in and when the woman opened the door she said, “it’s a minute early but you can come in.” If it’s such a big deal to wait and open the doors at exactly 10:30 then maybe appointments should start at 10:45.I decided to take my dress elsewhere to get altered since the staff here is not the most welcoming.Update: I tried my dress on at a different alteration place and the alterations from David’s Bridal were horrible. DO NOT GET YOUR BEAUTIFUL DRESS ALTERED HERE! The shoulder was literally just folded over and stitched with all the material folded on top of my shoulder and the bra cups were not stitched in properly and were causing the lace to bunch up on my chest. All of the alterations were undone and they refused to give me a refund.As I waited for the alterations to be undone, Juliana, who I think is supposed to be a manager, asked one of the other employees in a rude tone, “Do you have a problem?” The employee seemed confused and Juliana kept going on. So not only are they rude to their customers but it sounds like a terrible place to be employed as well.One positive: Lauren the manager was very helpful and pleasant

I loved the stylist who worked with me and helped me. It was only her second day there but she seemed to be made for this job because of how well she did. Her name was Niamh and i thank you so may have for helping me get my prom dress :)

Excellent customer service! Everyone had their mask on and appointments was spaced out nicely so that there wasn’t a lot of people in the store at one time. America was kind and helpful. She really listened to what I wanted even though my vision wasn’t as clear as first. She help me to find my dress and I’m so excited thank you!

We got there a little late and was rushed the entire time. We found the dress today and called another location to go get it because the lady that helped us didn’t really help us. Told us we only had 20 minutes left, and I understand the appointment thing, but she didn’t have to make us feel rushed. She also didn’t have any appointments after us because we stayed and looked around for at-least another hour. The dress we picked was sleeveless and wanted to add sleeves. She told us she didn’t have any jacket sleeve things in store, we found them in store after the appointment. We’re now on our way to another one to get the dress situated.

Hannah was incredible, she made the experience fun and enjoyable as a bridesmaid. I went in not knowing my dress size not confident in fitted dresses and came out feeling beautiful and trusted her instincts. Her choice in gowns in perfect, I never would have chosen a fitted dress now that is my favorite silhouette! I will definitely go back as a bride!

Hannah was amazing! She made me feel comfortable and did not rush me. I did say yes to the dress and will be ordering it soon. Thank you Ms. Hannah.

Everyone was professional and super nice. They knew their inventory which helped me on time finding the perfect dress.

Since I went in to the time I paid and left, I received not one inviting voice. One employee was complaining about what another employee was doing wrong. All were in a bad mood I guess. Not a pleasant visit.

I was happy with the experience. I just didnt come away with the dress I wanted for my daughters wedding. The sales lady even looked to see if they had it at other stores and they did not have it in my size.

Everyone was nice for my alterations appointment. My issue is that I tried on a particular size dress that fit well in my chest area and they brought over and Alterations Lady that Advised me to size down one size and if I needed they could adjust the panel. So I waited for dress to come in and for my Alterations appointment. I went and tried it on and it would not hook at the top and felt too tight in the hips. I do not understand why they would have told me to size down and now Im having to replace the panel and have it let out in addition to the other normal alterations like hem and bustle. Its added expense for no reason. Very disappointed. And just a side note... I was actually 8 pounds lighter coming in for my 2nd appointment than what I was when I initially tried on the bigger dress.

The alterations here are terrible!!!! After the hell of finding my dress, which I went to a different location to find, they did alterations and screwed it up! They made holes and the left and right side were so uneven. When I picked it up the lady had no idea how any of it worked...so she tore through the bustle loops etc and made all new holes and loops...then left me there while i waited to be shown how to bustle.On the big day NOBODY can figure out the bustle...none of it made since.As for the consultants, they were sweet and some were helpful...I loved my dress! It was cheap, simple and beautiful. Thanks.

Hannah at the Arlington highlands location was seriously the BEST!! My sister is a first time bride. Hannah went above and beyond to make sure my sister had the best experience! She was soo patient and attentive to what my sister was looking for!! I would highly recommend her!!

Renae Bowman was my stylist and she was excellent! It was my first time trying on dresses and she helped me find the best fit for my shape and style. Excellent service and a fun afternoon.
