My first ever Google review, only because I love this studio so much!Good Sweat checks so many boxes for me: a woman-owned small business, values-centered (supporting community organizations is part of their business model), committed to justice and inclusivity, welcoming, AND offers amazing workouts. As a novice to cycling, I felt so supported when I signed up for my first class several months back, and I still get that same feeling every time I hop on a bike. Ive taken about 40 classes with a variety of instructors -- they are always intentional, motivating, and fun, and spinning has become a non-negotiable part of my week.Good Sweat is not just a studio, its a community. Especially during the pandemic, I trust that everyone - staff, teachers, and riders - are taking care of one another. It has been such a bright spot for me in this tough year, and I couldnt recommend more highly.

Join Good Sweat! Hands down, this is my favorite spin studio. I‘ve been a fan of Ali’s for years, but I came to Good Sweat mid-pandemic, because I longed for community and a challenging workout after staying inside for months. Also, their mission to give back no matter what mirrors my own values.I’ve taken classes from 11 coaches and have found my regular classes (s/o to Christina and Edgar’s morning rides) but enjoy riding with different coaches each week and learning new techniques to push myself. It’s welcoming to new and veteran riders. The crew at GS made it work against the odds with their now legendary parking lot rides (in all temps!) and careful attention to safety. Most importantly, a membership to GS supports a community that values belonging and acts on it, gives back to a local non-profit each month, holds special fundraisers, and amplifies local makers and small businesses.

I was completely new to everything spin. And OH MY GOSH. Good Sweat (AKA Best Sweat of Your Life) has made me fall in love. Ive now cycled with Edgar and Sydney and am so excited to return for their classes (and try some new instructors!). Sydney has total badass energy, and when youre in her class, you cant help but feel a little badass too. Edgar has an amazing playlist that keeps you pumped and motivated to stay on beat for a thrilling 45 minutes. And theyre both super sweet and encouraging! I also got some help from the owner, Ali, and the person working the front desk. They helped me set up my bike and clip in, and they made me feel SO incredibly welcome. I thought I would feel insecure as a newbie (and as someone whos not quite confident with their body), but the environment at Good Sweat makes you forget about your worries and a dedicate some time to, well, a Good Sweat fueled by positive vibes, positive messages, and overall positivity from the instructors.

Good Sweat is the best cycle studio in Arlington, maybe the world. Outdoor classes, donations from every ride to a local charity, and a 45 minute achievement that makes your whole week better.I heard about Good Sweat awhile ago at Clarendon Day (whoa, flashback to the before times). I love a group work out class (there is definitely something to be said for accountability and moving together), but the world of cycle admittedly intimidated me. 2020 has done a lot of things, including inspiring many of us to try new things. So I did - I bought a class package using a first time rider code and dove in. I am BEYOND happy I did. Good Sweat is super safe - screenings before class, OUTDOOR classes with spaced out bikes, thorough cleanings before and after class. Donations from EVERY ride go to local charities. Cycle is definitely a challenging workout, but you are empowered to make it yours.

I LOVE Good Sweat! Always a fun and challenging workout with friendly and motivating coaches and helpful support staff and even when I was a little nervous to ride outside, I really felt safe and supported and the fresh air was actually pretty nice. I didnt end up feeling as self-conscious as I thought I would being outside and it was such a good workout and sooooo fun! Good Sweat is doing amazing things to ensure safety of their community/riders and really love and admire how committed they are to promoting social consciousness within their patrons and giving back to their community. The owner Ali is so obviously dedicated to Good Sweats mission and its always, truly, a good sweat!

Good Sweat may be one of my favorite things about Arlington, and most definitely my favorite spin studio in the DMV. The classes themselves are challenging with motivating coaches and great music-- I always leave feeling like I had a good workout. But what I love the most about Good Sweat is their authenticity and the inclusive community theyve created. They lead with care and kindness, and are true to their mission of giving back to the community by donating to local nonprofits. And no matter what fitness level youre at, all are welcome to ride.Theyve gone above and beyond to put their communitys safety first during the pandemic. They closed before Virginia ordered businesses to do so, and reopened only when they felt it was safe for riders. The outdoor spin classes with bikes distanced apart make me feel more at ease returning to group fitness and its something I always look forward to.

Ive recently taken part in Good Sweats new rider BOGO deal, and I am very excited to take more classes in the future. The outdoor set-up is phenomenal, and it is a true testament to Good Sweats commitment to ensure every class is safe and following COVID-19 guidelines. All of their classes are outdoors, and the bikes are spaced 10-ft apart. You must wear your mask off the bike, but on the bike, you are more than welcome to take it off - whatever you are comfortable with. As someone who takes COVID-19 precautions very seriously, I have struggled to find fitness classes that truly make me feel safe and comfortable. I can assure you that Good Sweat has exceeded my expectations. As someone who lives in Montgomery County, I only wish Good Sweat was closer to me. However, it is totally worth the 35-minute drive, and Id be happy to do it again. If you live or work around the Arlington area, then I highly recommend that you try out Good Sweat. Not only would you be helping out a female-owned small business but also the greater community as a whole, as they donate a portion of their profits to various non-profit organizations monthly. So, youre not only getting in a great workout but also helping out your local community. The coaches, support staff, and riders are all extremely friendly. I cant wait to take more classes in the future!

Good Sweat is the social impact indoor spin studio you didn’t know you were missing. This community and it’s inclusivity makes everyone who walks through their door feel welcome, encouraged and motivated. With creative theme rides, renting out bikes, live stream classes and group challenges, Good Sweat always goes the extra mile to keep members engaged and active, regardless of whether we are in the studio or safe at home. I cannot recommend them enough. 🚴🏻‍♀️ Don’t miss out!

I used to think that I would never be an indoor cycle person, but GoodSweat completely changed everything for me! Not only are their classes amazing and tough and a wonderful workout, but the community is truly like a family. From the first step in the door, you are welcomed into an incredible environment with the best people. Then once youre on the bike, the coaches and the music and the atmosphere make you forget youre working out and it feels like a party! Ive already brought one friend along, and cant wait to bring some more to check this fantastic studio out :)

Good Sweat is an amazing studio. The instructors are so encouraging and friendly. They really make it feel like home. Ali, the owner, is so hands on it makes such a difference. She knows each one of our names. All voices are heard, each of us are noticed and welcomed each time we open that door. The first time I took a spin class I remember thinking “these people are out of their minds. I’m never doing this again.” This was not the case at all here. There was no intimidation, only encouragement. You’re not only spinning for yourself, you’re spinning for the community. I would recommend this place over and over again!

Good Sweat is my favorite cycling studio! The community is so friendly; the workouts are tough, but fun; and their commitment to giving back is amazing. While we are stuck at home, they are also offering on and off the bike virtual workouts. I love staying connected and staying sweaty with them. Check out their mission and offerings at goodsweat.co.

Today was my first spin class at Good Sweat and Ali H (owner and instructor) was very welcoming and sweet. At times, during the class, she would personally help me without me having to ask her. In addition, my name was in front of the door with a very big Welcome, and by the end of the class, Ali gave me a very sweet thank you card. The team make you feel comfortable (at home), and they are very attentive, especially if it is your first spinning class ever.About the class: it is a normal spin class, with the instruction in the front and loud music to wake you up (my class was at 6 am).Ali is a very good instructor, because she gives you exercises that work your arms and belly while you are pedaling. She is also very enthusiastic which helps to motivate you. During the class, she asks you to make some breathing exercises, which allows your body to recharge during the heavy exercises. By the end, she asks you to be mindful of the moment while playing a nice song that helps you to concentrate and focus (this is very powerful feeling). The class takes 45 min and you feel very relaxed and ready for the day afterwards.Good Sweat works also with a non-profit organization which helps communities. I dont know much more about this social program, because I am new, nonetheless, I was amazed by that.I do recommend this place, because it is very well managed and it has good options for packages, including a first class free.

What a nice group of people - Ali - I hope the Commonwealth of Virginia doesnt put you out of business with their nonsensical COVID restrictions. You are so passionate about your studio and you have such a devoted clientele. You are doing everything right in spite of Covid. Your philanthropy is amazing. And your spin classes are the bomb!!! Motivating, exciting and heart throbbing! Cant wait to patronize your studio again!!!! (SG.)

Good Sweat is so much more than a cycling studio. It is truly a home and community. Everyone from staff to fellow riders makes the extra effort to get to know you and ensure you get the workout you are looking for. You will find people of all ages, shapes, and fitness levels in your class with you, and the coaches help to push everyone to better themselves and the world around them. It provides fairly typical riding experiences with bumping music, a dim studio, and intense choreographed workouts with movement on the bike and arm exercises. You will get a good workout in 45 minutes and can feel good about contributing to a very deserving local charity with each ride. Every month the charity rotates and all have been inspiring causes. If you are having a down day, you will feel better after a class here! The positive vibes greet you before you even step in the door and continue with every interaction and inspiring ride!

If you are looking for a community that helps you prioritize your well-being, look no further than Good Sweat. During the stay-at-home orders in Virginia, all of Good Sweats offerings are online. These include daily live exercise classes as well as a library of pre-recorded workouts that you can access with an extremely affordable subscription ($65 for a month of off-the-bike workouts, plus access to all live workouts). I always feel like I get a good workout when I take these classes, which are the next best thing to in-person group fitness. When the studio is open again, I would encourage anyone to try their cycling classes. All of the coaches are dynamic, engaging, and motivating. The studio is committed to donating a portion of all sales to a local non-profit organization every month, which is the differentiator that got me in the door. Before I started going to Good Sweat, I did not exercise regularly. Thanks to Ali, the coaches, and other riders/members of the studio, I now have a community that motivates me to put my health first.

This is the most welcoming and genuine group of people Ive done a class with. I wish I lived in the area because Id be a regular and will be back the next time Im in town.

For the past few months I’ve taken classes 2-3 times a week at Good Sweat. They are independently owned by an incredible mother of a one year old. As a social impact company, each month they donate a portion of proceeds to a local non profit. They have info about the orgs in the studio and regularly host free community rides to extra funds for the groups. As a bonus, they are extremely personal and make an effort to get to know your name. They even celebrate your birthday! So here’s my thought, if I’m gonna sweat, it’s going to be a Good Sweat!

Good Sweat is truly a community, and I am so glad to be a part of something so special! This local, woman-owned business gives back to a different nonprofit each month; it feels great knowing a portion of your membership and other purchases helps other community organizations. Each coach and the owner, Ali is invested in every rider as an individual, taking the time to get to know them personally. Before COVID-19 hit, walking into the studio was the highlight of each of my days. Now as they navigate the pandemic, seeing their faces live on Zoom or on On Demand workouts remains the best part of my day. They have gone above and beyond to ensure members still have access to a variety of workout options during these tough times. Im thankful to the Good Sweat crew and just how much they give back to the studios community as well as the greater DMV community.

GoodSweat has been a really amazing addition to my life so far in this new decade. I usually hate working out and finding the time to do so, but GoodSweat helps me enjoy & even look forward to those moments each week. After my first ride (free!) they sent me home with a handwritten note thanking me and welcoming me to the fit fam. Ali, the Founder & Owner, & her team create such a welcoming, friendly environment for everyone who walks in. It’s truly impressive! I would definitely recommend others give a cycle a try!P.S. Coach Missy’s playlists are my favorite so far. :)
