My partner literally went in here with references of a hair cut and color. This is possibly the choppiest haircut Ive seen on him in 8 years, and we have gone to cheap haircutteries, so thats pretty sad as far as quality goes there. He asked for grey/silver hair, based on what they could do. He walked out with what isnt even platinum blonde, and certainly isnt grey or silver. If someone books an appointment for a service you cant provide dont try to rush them out, do a split appointment, tell them what you can achieve or have them reschedule all together. Letting people leave your salon looking chopped is so messy, do better. The back is so uneven... and what is that hairline??? Also, I may not color hair everyday, but how is this silver???

Unfortunately, probably the worst manicure Ive had. I arrived well before closing but by the time the pedicure was done (which was good), it was near closing and maybe thats why I got such a rushed job. My nails are terribly filed. They are uneven and Im constantly accidentally scratching myself with the sharp corners. The polish is so thin and already chipping 2 days later. Honestly, I could have done a better job myself without spending $37, and Ill probably just do that moving forward.

I was really excited to find this nail salon in my neighborhood. After sleuthing reviews, I decided to make an appointment with Anna, and was surprised at her availability for appointments, but thought I got lucky for a Sunday morning appt. I booked online for a gel mani ($35) and gel pedi ($45). I arrived right at opening. The salon was clean, the staff very friendly. I stated that I had an appt with Anna. A woman who appeared and acted as though she might be Anna engaged me and started my services. When she asked me to pick my color, I requested assistance and stated it was my first time there. I had my gel pedi first. From a distance it looked like it was going well. I thought it was unusual that she filed off my old color but I was open to new ways of doing things. I thought it was off she used a cuticle cutter instead of a nail clipper. After my pedi, we went to her work station where the name on the barbicide read Anna. She again filed off my old SNS and then used a cuticle clipper to cut back the length of my nails. This resulted in two of my natural nails completely splitting. As a result, she had to cut all of them way shorter than I like and I have two painful and damaged nails. She kept commenting that whomever did my nails last time did them too thick, filed them wrong, etc. I am new in town and have been going to the same woman for 14 years, so these comments felt like she was insulting me and a member of my family. I’ve always loved my nails and never had a problem. She ended up going back and forth between filing and soaking to remove my SNS. My skin was raw, she repeatedly filed into my skin, and my nail beds felt like paper. The gel application itself was okay. I tried to stay on top of thick application and the excess bleeding onto my cuticles and skin but there was only so much she could do to keep it from running. She said it needed to be think because my nails were so thin. (No kidding!!!). She also said I had some nail fungus on one of the nails she split, and said she’d apply an anti-fungal and that I’d be given a bottle at checkout for $10. I’ve worn nails for 25 years and I’ve *never* had an issue - never fungus, never too thin, never problems with splitting. I didn’t see any fungus. I saw a portion of my nail that had lifted from hitting it recently, but nothing else. She never applied anything and I forgot about the anti-fungal at check out. As I was nearly finished, I overheard another client ask if Anna was in today. Out from the back popped Anna! I have no idea who was doing my nails. I knew I wasn’t happy with them but hadn’t had a chance to look at them closely. A 1h15m scheduled appt was already at 2 hours. When I checked out, the total was $97, not the $80 I was expecting. It didn’t register mentally. I don’t know what I was charged for or why. I don’t know if she added the anti-fungal and never gave it to me (which I would have declined). I have no idea. I tipped her because it’s a rough economy right now and I hadn’t fully seen my nails yet. As soon as I walked out into daylight I knew I hated them. $100 down the drain. I could have done a way better job myself. I’m disappointed that my appointment wasn’t honored. I’m disappointed with the actual service. I’m disappointed that I don’t know what I paid for. I’m disappointed that the final result is really embarrassing. I will likely remove them and redo them myself.

I’ve been getting my nails done with Anna for almost 10 years now, Anna is amazing. She always makes time for me and makes me feel and look amazing when we are finished. Two weeks ago I got the chance to get my lashes done and to try a new nail tech named Judy....Guys I kid you not I left looking like a complete bad B$&@?. Please please please when you go ASK FOR ANNA OR JUDY they are the best

My fiance used this salon today and she texted me in the middle panicked because the lady who was coloring her hair left for a long time. The color she wanted was brown and it came out black because she was left for so long. Now her hair doesnt match is patchy. I am posting as a warning for others.

I absolutely love this salon. I come here for everything. Hair cut, color, highlights; pedicure today and Anna also does micro blade eyebrows! Very natural look and affordable!Everyone here is really nice and good at what they do. I highly recommend Anna’s Salon. They have taken extra steps to social distance customers with separator walls.Parking is great too.

Ive been going to Anna Salon for almost ten years. Anna goes above and beyond to make sure her clients get the best treatment. I like to have a very natural look when it comes to my nails. She makes that happen even when using dip and or acrylic powder. Silvia is the funniest person Ive ever met. She does amazing with pedicures, nails, and waxes. Her wax treatments are almost painless. Cindy always always greets you with the biggest smile! Its so nice to have a clean and comfortable environment to get my spa needs done. Especially now with covid 19. Anna has placed dividers between all the chairs, everyone wears mask, and they frequently wash their hands. The place is extremely clean. Last but not least, their prices! So good!

I always get a gel pedicure with Silvia. The place is clean, they use clean tools and I feel safe coming there especially during this pandemic. They also give reward points for each visit.

I want to love this salon because it’s close to home. The manicure felt rushed - in that it was just a polish change, with nothing else typically included in a manicure beyond getting polish - and then when I got back to my car I noticed these little lines on most of my nails. The edges are also a bit messy and there’s paint on my fingers. Didn’t have time to go back in so didn’t give them a chance to fix it and can’t speak on the customer service. But as far as the manicure itself, disappointing :(

The very first time I walked in (through the back door from the handy parking lot), all of the staff looked up and greeted me with a nod and a smile, or a “hello”. I felt like a queen! One gets the sense that they like each other and are ready to like you. I had a pedicure by Sylvia, who gave me exactly what I asked for (short, no polish), and a fabulous foot and lower leg massage.I have been back to Anna’s during the CV-19 restrictions, and everyone is masked, and the salon is spotless. They keep distance and clean between customers. I have never been a salon person, but I plan to return to this one-and to Sylvia!-regularly.

Ive had a string of bad experiences at nail salons in the past few months. So when I had a nail emergency while in DC for work I was so relieved to find a nail technician like Anna. She was fast, confident, and gave me exactly what I asked for.

Wonderful up do and nail service. I asked for a bouffant with bun in the back, and Anna did an amazing job. She listened to my feedback and was so fast I had time to get a gel manicure. Very nice service and reasonable prices ($40 for up do, $35 for nails). Making an appointment online was very easy too! I would highly recommend!!

Anna did my nails and they looked great after she finished. Unfortunately, my gel polish and silk wrap lifted a little a few days later on one nail, but I was able to repair it. I couldnt go back to her shop since I was visiting from out of town. The shop offers many services.

I got a gel manicure done for my engagement photos, and Anna and her team did an incredible job. I have received so many complements on my nails. It has been one week, and they still look just as amazing as the first day I got them done. I will definitely be back!

The eyelash perm/lift didn’t work. My eyeslashes looked the exact same when I left as they did when I arrived. After the treatment she told me my eyelashes weren’t good for perms. I’ve gotten eyelash perms at DC Lash Bar and had great results, so I don’t know why she said that. They must use different chemicals or techniques. I wouldn’t recommend going here for an eyelash lift/perm.

Just completed major renovation and service expansion. Several new chairs for pedicures, tables for nails, rooms for waxing and massage. Still offering hair and barber services, including facials, beard trims, etc. Staff very friendly, professional. Reasonable prices. Very clean and pleasant. This is a regular stop on my schedule.

I have been going to Anna Salon and Spa for more than a decade. My three children and I all get our haircuts there. Very experienced and capable staff, and very affordable. Every once and a while I go somewhere else, just to try someplace different. I always come back. Great place at a great price.

Anna Salon and Spa is an excellent full service business. They really genuinely care about their customers satisfaction and giving a great service. In the 5-years Ive gone there, I have always left feeling pampered and well taken care of. The salon has recently undergone a major renovation and according to the sign out front, there is a grand opening under the new name on 15-16 September. Ive also heard theyll be offering some good deals and customer appreciation offers. Bottom line, Anna and her team will take care of you, and if theres ever anything wrong, tell them and Anna will make it right.

This is a barber shop too. It is a very clean salon, the staff are professional and welcoming. I came for a hair cut; I was treated professionally and with respect- the lady who cut my hair was so nice, quite and professional, her scissors were smooth and so was her razor. I was completely happy with the final outcome and paid very reasonable price.

I have been a customer of Anna-s for over 15 years! That in itself says it all! Anna Salon and Spa is a friendly and a wonderful place to be pampered! Had my haircut by Anna and am very pleased with the result. Anna and her team listened to how I wanted my hair to look and made sure the final result was exactly what I wanted. Would definitely recommend.

I have mixed feelings about my experience here. I feel there was a communication difficulty which basically lead to my not being very happy with the end result of my cut. The shampoo/head massage was great though! I went back at a later date for a basic manicure. She took time doing my nails and made sure there were dry before leaving. The shop appears clean and both of my services were walk-ins.

Ive been coming to this location for years now, and am so glad that Anna has taken over. I primarily go for my nails. Over the years Ive done regular manicures, gel manicures, silk wraps, acrylics, and now dip. They seem to always have something new for me to try. I also go regularly for gel pedicures and eye brow waxing. I just recently started getting eyelash extensions from Anna herself. The price point is very reasonable and she did an amazing job.

I have gone to Annas Salon for over 12 years and found or observed all of the employees to be exceptionally courteous, very competent and professional. My preferred hair cutter is Lon.

I came in for a shampoo, cut and blow dry. I dont know where the women cutting my hair got her training, but it was the most miserable hairdressing experience Ive ever had. I asked for layers and side bangs and was given a bob that belongs on a middle-aged soccer mom. Im in my 20s. She couldnt even figure out how to section clip my hair so the top layers could stay out of the way when even my cosmetology-illiterate husband knows you have to clip short, thick hair with multiple clips so it doesnt fall out. I cant speak for all the stylists and services available here, but Im certainly not coming back.

I went to this salon (under this new ownership) for first time this past Saturday. ...receptionist said my wait would be 20 minutes...i said that i would come back another day and left...as i was getting in my truck in the rear parking lot, a female came out and told me to come back inside, the wait would not be long...the female was Anna, the owner....how nice of her...she was very gracious and the technician (May??) who did my gel pedicure was great...I will definitely return

Please, if you care at all, dont go here for a mens haircut. I was waiting to get my hair cut when I saw one of the ladies literally swiping her clippers at some guys head. I almost walked out, but just then another stylist walked over and sat me in her chair. I thought I would give her the benefit of the doubt. The first clue that things werent going to turn out well, was when she turned the chair so I was facing away from the mirror. I could only feel what she was doing to be noggin. When she spun the chair near the end to finish up, I wondered how this place had received such good reviews. Not pretty. Now, maybe Im too particular about attention to detail since my hair is thinning. There is some art to cutting my hair. However, I really have to wonder about why she felt the need to attack the top of my head with THINNING SHEARS? Are you kidding me?? Needless to say, I wont be going back for a haircut….hope they do a better job at nails!

This place is awesome, theres hardly ever a wait and every time Ive gone its been a fantastic haircut. The prices are great and the staff are really friendly people, though they dont speak much English.

I cant speak for hair cutting or nail services at Anna Salon, but I had an updo done here and it was the first time I was happy with the updo services at a salon! Anna worked with me every step of the way to get my input and make sure we were on the same page, working to make sure the end results were similar to the pictures I showed her and even asking to see them again when she was unsure.

Terrible job on my nails. My shellac nails chipped within 3 hours of leaving, which has never happened. I went back to have them fix it, and a different nail started chipping the next day.They didnt touch my cuticles, even after asking them to do my cuticles. They cut the sides of my nails instead of filing them, so the sides were jagged instead of smooth.Its cheap, and you get what you pay for.

Not professional, lazy ! 2.of them were cutting my bangs (anna one of them) and I get out with bangs on half my forehead, not straight and super tiny whole hair!! Still they charge me even I was complaining! NO RECOMMENDATION!!!! Nails as well,peel after 5.days !

This is our sanctuary!!!! I really love this place but I want this place for all by myself. However, of course I want the Owner, Anna to succeed so I want everyone to go this place and relax and enjoy their excellent and exceptional services. Price is reasonable and people are so nice. Anna just renovated whole place, updated chair and relaxing and inviting atmosphere and most of all,,, very clean! I give 5 golden stars. You will not disappointed I used to come here before renovation with previous owner who was very nice but the place needed some up grade. The new owner replaced all the lights and the massaging chairs which are amazing. Min and scicilia, they are great. Where you go to get your haircut and get warm towel and getting neck massage these days? I don’t know any place but here. In that regard, this place is old school. Give you exceptional classic service.In addition, free parking in the rear and a few minutes from hassle of crystal city. No brainer to come here. My wife love this place. So we come as a couple and I pay :). Come on guys, don’t just come here to get your haircut, bring your wife and treat your love ones once in awhile. All the best wish for Anna and her crews. Sylvia is the BEST, she’s done my gel, SNS and wax for the past 7 years...she cares for the health of your nails & skin, in addition to the presentation...this salon is peaceful, clean/newly renovated with ample parking.

Me and my boyfriend came down here for a couple of days together and he was so nice to take me to this amazing salon to get a mani/pedi. The staff members were making it look like theyve done it a million times already. They were also very friendly, constantly making conversation with me. The owner was also very nice and welcoming too. Hopefully I get to come back soon!

I have gotten my haircut here for more than a year. Great people, very reasonable price of ~$16 and tips for a mens cut + hot towel. Usually there is little to no wait in the evenings.

What a great hidden gem! Made two 9am mani/pedi appts. They were ready for us even though we were early. Great color selection, friendly service, comfortable chairs. It was a good thing we made early appointments because by the time we were done drying there was a mob coming through door and I can see why. Overall great experience.

If you are a guy who doesnt like short hair, dont come here ever. They dont understand english and only know how to use a razor. Never had a hair dresser who doesnt understand two inches off and I dont want a fade.Gave me a fade with super short hair. If they cant understand, they should say so.

I came in a few weeks ago for a mani/pedi - called in and asked if they could see me soon - I was there an hour later getting pampered. The girls are super nice and sweet. I got the best mani/pedi in a long time. This was the first place that shaped my nails square the way I wanted. And the polish was perfectly applied. I am definitely going back.

Went for a request of just a small trim as I was trying to grow out my hair. They unfortunately ignored my request and took off a lot of hair. If you have specific requests just go elsewhere.
