Ive been taking our cars to McGraws for about 5 years now. Friendly, knowledgeable owners who take the time to explain the repairs, what should be done right away, what can wait. Super clean, organized and well equipped shop. They continually invest in the most modern technology so they can quickly diagnose and fix problems on even the newest of cars.Communication is excellent, theyre very good about calling you to keep you informed on the expected time theyll be finished.

Im glad I found Mcgaws, and will use them again in the future when I need an independent mechanic, for sure. Brian gives very good explanations and wont oversell you on repairs you dont need. In my case, he didnt just fix the problem (a fried ignition coil), he fixed the root of the problem so it wouldnt occur again (busted heated core hoses spewing antifreeze). He couldve easily insisted on more repairs to inflate the bill, but didnt. I really appreciate that. I even suggested extra work and he said he wouldnt bother if it was his unless I really wanted to invest in tuning it up. I think all of the other reviews on Google are accurate. They had my truck fixed in 1 day and sent me home with a list of other issues we might want to address in the future if I hang onto it. If youre on here searching for a good mechanic in the area, you found a great one.

Simply the best. The McGaws have cared for our vehicles for decades. They love cars and trucks and know them inside and out, give excellent, friendly advice, and rarely fail to fix whatever ails our gentle beasts. Highly recommended!

Im incredibly disappointed by McGaws. They were so good to me in the past, but after an oil change today where they added windshield wiper blades and an air filter without telling me is the last time I come here. I can understand these things need replacing from time to time, but you have to inform your customers before doing so. I would have been okay if these did need replacing, but doing so without a word makes me scared to come back here.Going above and beyond shouldnt be related to how much youre expecting to pay. $100+ for an oil change is the last bit of money McGaws will ever see from me.

Lazy shop. Only wants to work on computer controlled cars that can tell them what to fix, because they are to lazy to use diagnose your cars issue.

Not one to write reviews, but have had my socks blown off by the customer service both times using McGaw’s. They don’t mind taking 10 minutes to fully explain everything going on with your car, what they found, and recommendations if there are any. They treated me better than family and took excellent care of my car only doing what needed to be done and being very upfront with “xyz didn’t need anything, they didn’t show any wear” very rare to get that type of honesty. Fair pricing, and excellent results. They did some suspension work for me and this car hasn’t driven this well in years. Will be a customer for years to come.

I had a great experience the other day here. My serpentine belt came off. I drove it to them and they got me done in an hour. I may have been fortunate with them not being too busy but when I called and asked how long, they told me the wait and it was done within the time. Fair price too for the work involved.

This is how great this auto repair shop is. They were flexible and accommodating my schedule as best they could. They started looking at my car at exactly the time they said they would. They spent 20 minutes with it, but didnt charge me because the problem I thought I had was not the problem that existed. This is my new go-to garage. I cant say enough good about them, and the customer I was chatting with has been taking cars to them for 20 years. It is not the least expensive shop, but I am convinced it is the best value.

We have been a McGaws customer for over 7 years. Their great reviews lead us to them after we had a bad experience elsewhere. McGaws guidance is honest, prices are fair with no surprises, the work is done well and timely. We have had everything from basic maintenance, like oil changes, to extensive work. They are only open weekdays but even with that, we try to arrange it so we bring the cars there for everything to insure done correctly. Everyone I have worked with at McGaws has been friendly and professional but you will also usually find the same familiar guys at the desk or answering the phone. They even follow up afterwards with a call for repairs on those frustrating sporadic issues or major repair. If anyone asks for a recommendation for car repair near Arlington, Dalworthington Gardens or Pantego, McGaws Automotive is who we recommend.
