I sincerely mean it when I say they have A1 service. One thing that I really valued was their customer service. To resolve my issue they definitely went above and beyond to make sure that my satisfaction was the top priority and with some garages you just simply don’t get that. They were very open to my concerns and made it a priority to satisfy my complaints. They handled My situation with empathy as well as professionalism. I recommend them if you need any type of service to your vehicle. They get 10 out of 5 stars in my book. I believe it was store number 12 in Arlington off south cooper Street.I dealt with a gentleman named Scott Dowell. I will definitely be back again! Thanks Scott!!!

This location. On S. Cooper in Arlington Texas knows how to treat each customer. I took my truck to a different location, I original went to the Garland location. (John at the Garland location needs to learn how to communicate with all customers).Here Scott and the other manager were simply the best all around. Scott listened to what I needed to have done that the other location forgot to do and worked me as soon as he could which was pretty quick.I left there satisfied and was taken care of like I was part of the their family. Great atmosphere.HIGHLY RECOMMEND and will be going back for any other issues that may come up.

Came into shop to have a.c compressor changed out because another shop told me that it was bad.I ordered the part online and City Garage would do the installation of the replacement compressor. They told me that they would like to take a look at the a.c system before replacing the compressor. Long story short , it turned out that the ac just needed to be recharged.Its working like a champ.They also recommend that I return the unnecessary part.Thank you guys for the great service and for saving me $$$.I will always go back for future services on my vehicles

I’ve been going to this location for years. I trust them with my foreign vehicle. They’re always honest and upfront about my repair options and costs. They advise, but not in a forceful way where I feel obligated to make a certain decision or feel as if I’ll lack receiving a quality repair because I opted differently than advised. They are awesome and extremely knowledgeable.

I paid 75$ for a diagnostic test and they refused to show any error codes and only gave me a receipt that doesn’t state any error codes. They told me thats all im getting and they tried to over charge me.

The service is fast. Next time I will definitely look into any work they say needs to be done “right away”. I went in for an oil change and was told I needed three other things done. Turns out those things weren’t as urgent as it was made to sound. That’s my fault tho since I should be more diligent in knowing more about my vehicle.

First off, Brandie with her Charger needs to get with the program. No one forced you to accept the repair quote and agree for City Garage to do the work. If you don’t like it, get in your car and leave-or tow it away. It’s that simple!With that out of the way, I’ve used the City Garage on Copper St. several times over the past 5-6 years. Always tell it to me straight and don’t up-sell additional services or PM on my vehicle. On this occasion my vehicle wouldn’t start. I had it towed the CG and they quickly diagnosed the issue. Repair was completed in a timely manner and done right, as usual. Good group of guys here; work done right at an honest price.

I love this place. I had to pay a lot for an issue with my car but they gave me the best deal they could and now my car feels like it is running smoother. I will be back again for any other car issues I might have. Oh and they even gave me a ride too and from the shop, they actually care about their customers!

Brought in our van to get the front wheel bearings checked. Turns out theyre fine, but they did recommend getting new shocks and an alignment, which we agreed on doing. What was told would only take till the end of the day took till the middle of the following day. We picked up the van only to find out that after a short drive the drivers side shock wasnt bolted in and had popped out. We brought it back in to have a new one replaced because it had bent. We were driving to Oklahoma that morning so needed it taken care of as quickly as possible. Everything seemed okay till we drove to OK and back and noticed the steering is still pulling very hard to the right, so now were lead to believe the alignment never got done, no paperwork on report. This cost $100. On top of that there was grease everywhere underneath when they greased the steering fittings, very messy.They have a professional front but not quite sure whats happening with their communication or in the shop with their mechanics. They may be getting 5 stars on all the oil changes they do but be weary about anything more serious. Wont be going back.

My daughter accidently put diesel fuel in my car. I called around to several repair shops to get an estimate on the repair. Other places were quoting 1000 to 1500. I called and spoke with Brad, which was super nice and quoted much lower and estimated time for repair. 2 1/2 hrs later my car was fixed and very little out of pocket. I will deffinately be using them again in the future.

These guys are the most honest mechanics. I brought in an old 2005 Mazda 3 that was having issues. They spent hours digging through the entire car, and gave me their straight and honest assessment. Told me your car is so unsafe dont drive it anymore. Any other mechanic could have told me I need to spend $700 on an alternator, and try to trap me into spending unnecessary money on it. They even offered to check out a car for me to make sure its safe before I buy it. I really felt like they had my back. I have a new car now, and I will only bring my car to them for maintenance like oil changes and inspections and such. Its fairly new so hopefully it takes a long time before they need to fix anything. I found them on the AAA approved mechanic list. Go to these guys! Well worth it to have your car looked at by someone you can trust.

I was really pleased by the professional and friendly service provided by City garage. My car wouldnt start one evening and I had to have it towed there. They attended to it first thing in the morning and had it serviced in a few hours, no extra long wait. They kept me informed about the progress and even attended to a couple little extra concerns on the car without added cost. The price to fix it was reasonable as well. They do a great job and have a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Superb customer service!!!! I would recommend anyone with car issues to use them.

This place is a complete scam. To begin, I paid $162 for a diagnostic! My main concern was that I was told the control arms were bad on my 2010 Dodge Charger. I was told that all four lower control arms needed replaced on the front with an estimate of $900. Since I am a female and a lot of these places like to scam women I took my vehicle to get a second opinion. I just picked up my vehicle from the second shop and was informed that my control arms were just fine and I wasn’t even charged for them to inspect my vehicle due to them feeling bad that I had already paid for a diagnostic. They could have easily took my money and did the “repairs” I was told my vehicle needed but they didn’t. I am more than willing to pay for any service rendered but to be blatantly lied to is upsetting. I will never return to this shop or recommend anyone I know to this place. It’s sad that it’s the middle of a pandemic and people are out here scamming people. Additionally, I did call back and inform them of the second shop findings and was told I could come back and they would “show me” the bad control arms. I would never allow anyone to lie to me twice!! No thanks!!Update:Brad,I’m not sure how I received “ a lot of value for a diagnostic fee” that is twice the amount of everyone else in town. Just because a place charges a lesser value doesn’t not mean they don’t provide quality work! I’ve mentioned the same issues to every other shop and been quoted $75-$80 for a diagnostic not to mention the actual Dodge dealership charges $120 which I’m sure provides the best work of all shops considering it’s a dealership. I wasn’t interested in paying a price for things you’ve fabricated. I received a third estimate as well that also confirmed that your “diagnostic” was fabricated. So let me guess, that’s two shops that have “told me what I wanted to hear”. I don’t see any business putting themselves on the line like that. I will forward that documentation to the correct places because you were dishonest point blank period. Why would I have a shop show me anything that two other shops have told me isn’t the issue?! I wanted to know the “truth” that’s why I went and got a second and third opinion. You have other comments where people are claiming this place did the same exact thing. You took advantage of a woman like many of these places do. I have no issue spending money on honest issues but I will not just hand anyone my hard earned money. Oh and by the way the vehicle doesn’t even belong to me but I actually care about people and care if they are scammed.

If you bring your own oil and filter they will still charge you base price for a standard oil change. They are too concerned about keeping their daily percentages up.

First they were able to get me in right away. Their customer service was excellent and they were able to get me straightforward answers to my questions. They were able to spot an issue while I was getting an oil change on one of my vehicles and it was quickly resolved at a reasonable price. To top it off they give you a rewards program and roadside assistance, at no extra cost, in the USA because I had my vehicle service by them. Its this type of service that will keep me coming back.

Our car broke down the other day because a spark plug launched itself out of its coil and the others were going bad (originals on a 9 year old vehicle... OOPS!) and AAA towed us to City Garage DFW, which was on their list of mechanics. Our experience was amazing! Not only was the staff knowledgeable, but they were also honest with their prices and didnt exaggerate issues with our car. We were there for most of our morning because they had to re-thread a part. The whole time, the staff was hospitable, kind and fun to talk with. It is very rare for a car that breaks down in the same fashion as ours did to be fixed within half the day, and they fixed ours good as new! Bonus, we also got a AAA discount. We just found our new regular. Thanks guys!

Friendly with good customer service

Be careful with these guys. I went in for a oil change and inspection because it was convenient while I was waiting on a client and had time to kill. They told me I needed new ball joints, front and rear shocks. Basically $3500 in work. Funny thing is I had my ball joints replaced in June. I took my car back to my mechanic Quality First Auto in Richardson and they said nothing needs to be replaced. I would not trust these guys to work on my car other than an oil change and inspection sticker.

This City Garage location is the best! All of the staff are hard-working and they make sure your vehicle is taken care of. The atmosphere is positive and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. I recently had to get my tire replaced and I also needed an oil change. The staff at City Garage did an excellent job with my vehicle and they were very professional and answered all my questions. The location I go to is 6017 S. Cooper Street, Arlington, Texas 76001. They are the best!

Saturday Jan 04 I took our Rav 4 to the Store on Cooper St for an oil leak at the oil pan drain plug that started after having it serviced at that store. First of all I have used this store for all of my service needs on five different cars for the last several years so I am known there. When I talked to John at the counter and told him my problem he responded by saying he would not be able to look at it. He even said it sounded like the seal leaking and would only take a few minutes to fix it, and asked if I could bring it back on Monday, giving an excuse that they were working on the floors in the shop and he did not have any bays. He never went out to look at the leak, never checked the oil level, never even asked if I had checked the oil. This was not the type of service that I have come to expect from the location. The Service Manager that used to be over this store would have never treated me this way. I ended up taking my car to a sister store in GP off of Carrier to have the issue fixed. I will be leaving a review on there storeAlso when the plug was removed there was no seal/gasket on it at all. I will not be going back the the store on Cooper again even though it is really close to my home. It is not worth risking an engine in one of our vehicles.Not sure why the Service Manager Israel B is no longer there but in my opinion that was a bad move. Looks like I will have to find another Company to handle my repairs.

My husband passed away this year and I was left without someone to maintain my car. My headlight was out and on impulse I dropped in on my way to get my grandson from school. They analyzed what I needed, pulled it in, fixed the problem, figured my bill while I had a nice conversation with a postman in the lobby.What more could I ask for? I’ll be going back and referring them to anyone that needs repair.

Being able to trust a mechanic is important. The guys here are great. Guy working the front desk was easy to talk to and made the experience not so bad. The mechanics themselves took the time to take me out to my car and actually explain what was going on and get the clear from me before doing anything major to my car. This is definitely my go-to mechanic in the area. Keep up the good work guys!

Very impressed! I took my truck in on Monday morning and it was ready by early afternoon. They originally replaced the valve cover gasket. However a couple weeks later, the check engine light came on again and after I got the code, the spark plug wire where it met the spark plug was covered in oil. They replaced the gasket again, completely free of charge. They didn’t really know if the gasket was the problem or if it was possibly a crack in the valve cover itself. The fact that they replaced it for free without really knowing the gasket they originally replaced caused the problem again was very very impressive.

John and the crew here are great. My first time at their garage (chosen due to its proximity to where my car broke down) they had to deliver bad news. Before completing all the services we initially agreed on they found a catastrophic problem with my car. They stopped work and called immediately to let me know what was going on. Instead of trying to hook me for the full bill on ultimately unnecessary (but agreed upon already) repairs, I only paid for the work they did complete before finding the real problem.John gave great advice and then gave me time to consider all my options with no pressure from them. In the end the needed repairs cost more than the worth of my car so I’m buying a new one. Better believe I’m bringing it straight to John for all necessary upkeep and repairs.

Manager was awesome. Was there for an inspection and need wipers put on. I had some and he put them on at no cost. Will definitely be going back.

Very expensive, especially considering that I have a pretty modest Honda rather than an expensive car with expensive parts. City Garage charged us $600 on a repair that took less than an hour. They definitely got over on us but what could I do, I needed my car and fast. I will not be back.

They are fast, friendly, efficient, and honest. Yesterday, I had my back brakes done. The front brake pads were still at 60%, so I could wait on those. After they fixed the back and took the truck for a test drive, they found I needed a bearing done too. I called around for quotes, and City Garage was the best around, so I went back today and had those done. When I picked up the truck, the guy says, I have a story for you. I cringed. He goes, No. Its a good story. Long story short, they ended up able to do the bearing AND my front brakes for the same price as they quoted me for the bearing. Now Im all set!

City Garage has excellent pricing and customer service! We were in a time crunch when, unexpectedly, we needed a repair before a road trip the following day. They were able to look at the vehicle, order the part, and repair it in less than 8 hours! They were so kind, and they clearly explained what was wrong and how it would be repaired. We have foreign cars which we were skeptical initially about bringing here but when they came across a problem they couldnt remedy they called in a Audi mechanic with no hesitation and got the issue fixed! No ego,pride or nothing did what was necessary to get the job done going over and beyond in everything they did. Ive recently was there again and they couldve lied and given me all these prices along with issues just to get the money but instead they were extremely honest. In these days of a quick buck its hard to find REAL honesty so theyll forever get my business and I definitely recommend this place!

I went in for my cars yearly inspection. The young man at the counter was very friendly. I had just had some work done on my car. It did not pass inspection due to the computer codes had not completely reset. He tiik the time to look up the drive cycle and explain exaxtly what I needed to do to get the codes to reset. I brought my car back the next morning and it passed with flying colors.I really appreciated the help and personal service. I will be coming back for all my automotive repair and maintenance needed.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I was given a quote for the work needed and it actually ended up costing $300 less than the quote. I was called promptly with information and was given a good explanation of what needed to be done.The repairs were completed on time and so far have fixed the problem.

Brought my car in certain I needed brakes (mostly because the Vandergriff Toyota service center said it was needed over a year ago).The folks at City Garage DFW told me my brakes look fine and didnt charge me anything for checking! Thankful for finding an honest shop!

Customer service is lacking hugely......theres way too many people out there who dont know what customer service means if youre going to be providing a service to a customer the least you can do is be nice and how you talk to people. If you dont like your job find something else to do. Would not recommend this to anyone

Just went in to get my inspection done and they were great. I had just recently gotten a new transmission and they let me know that some valve caps were leaking oil on it and got me a quote for the repairs so I’ll be getting that taken care of soon.

I am a big fan of City Garage, I have used two of their locations in Arlington. The staff is always friendly, professional and honest, no one tries to rip you off or sell unnecessary additional services. If you call ahead or make an appointment wait time is never too long. Kudos to their hiring manager for hiring excellent staff.
