The location and size of apartments are to die for, and management is friendly, fast, and accommodating. I love that they have many different events for us residents throughout the year AND the amenities are top notch. Moving here was the best decision I made!

Toured the property last month and already moved in. In my experience, the staff is extremely friendly. The staff is excellent, the management responsive and the residents are friendly!

My husband and I have been here happily for a year and a half. The management team is always prompt and courteous, and the maintenance staff is so friendly and helpful. Recently on a maintenance request I mentioned that we have cats, and they brought them treats! This kind of thoughtfulness is what makes living at Dominion so great. I’d highly recommend renting here. :)

My wife and I love living at Dominion Apartments ! The location is perfect! So close to shopping, hotels, metro/busses and a lot good food! The maintenance team member Ricardo is polite and do a great job addressing any apartment and community needs. Our apartment view is amazing!! We got a lot of sunlight in our unit- which we love. The amenities are convenient, clean and nice! I would recommend living here!!!!!

My wife and I have lived here for a year and a half now and love it. Our unit is great, we have friendly neighbors and the staff here is prompt and kind. Have really enjoyed making my apartment here home! The units themselves have been renovated nicely with great new appliances. The rest of the building is always clean. Office staff is friendly and respond to any issues within the building swiftly! The maintenance team is really great and takes care of things immediately.When I initially signed my lease I thought the pricing was too good to be true but 5 months in and I have zero regrets.

This is a perfect community, excellent location, always clean, office people are always ready to help in any need and any posible way, the maintenance team always do a outstanding work and always there to help. I moved from another country two years ago, and this is my first apartment in the US. I am excited to have found such a clean and pleasant apartment in my first experience. From the day I came in for an application to this date, the front office management team and maintenance team have been supportive and responsive to any request I have. I love dominion for its convenience to the elementary & middle schools, parks, and public transport. I enjoy my unit with a quiet courtyard view. Thank you!

Dominion is a hidden gem. The building is older but very well maintained. The apartments are spacious and beautifully renovated. The amenities are awesome from the pool, to the state of the art fitness center, dog park, and club room. This building is also very Covid conscious, and did I mention the fantastic location! Dominion is close to D.C without paying D.C prices. Thank you Eugenia Jefferson and all of the Dominion staff for making this a wonderful place for anyone to call home!

I am looking to lease an apartment and I stopped by this apartment complex. I was impressed with how clean and quiet the building was. The team member that helped me was Bina. She was so sweet, professional and very knowledgeable. She answered all questions I had and presented me with different apartment options. Once my lease ends at my current apartment I will definitely be back and lease with Dominion.

I have lived at Dominion for 19 months.Summary:Pros: great location, affordable and fantastic maintenance crew.Cons: Leasing office communication and building management is not renter-focused and leaves a lot to be desired in terms of communication.Edit: Kevin is new to the management office and although not full-time I have enjoyed his friendly demeanor and quick answer to all my requests and emails. I Ricardo, Will and him continue to stick around.Pros: Affordable. Great location. Clarendon and Ballston are walking distance. DC and Northern Virginia are very accessible by car with close entrances to 50, 66 and the beltway. (Note: there are no metrorail stops within the walking distance - 40 mins, but plenty of bus stops). The maintenance staff is second to none. I’ve lived in a ton of places and managed a property myself before, and these guys are the friendliest and hardest working crew I’ve ever encountered. Ricardo and Will probably bring this rating up a whole star just with my interactions with them over my time here and in dealing with my issues.Decent amenities. Very pet friendly and solid pet community.Cons: some of the apartments are just shoddily constructed. The remodel was very new, so I would worry as time passes there will be more and more issues with this. Definitely thoroughly check all cabinetry, doors, plumbing and flooring before you move in and keep good records.The management/leasing office. There has been a ton of turnover in the management/leasing office so everything I am going to outline here isn’t going to apply to everyone there now, but this has definitely been the biggest deficiency for me over my time here and from conversations with other friends in the building.First, there have been a few instances, including my own, of pricing confusion within the lease signing period. My rental rate actually jumped from my agreed upon email rate and what was actually on my lease when I signed. It was not enough to change my mind about living here, but is a bit concerning.Second, don’t expect the management office to work for you as a resident or to be pro-active in any way. Like I said, there has been a lot of turnover and I’ve done this myself so maybe I have slightly raised expectations, but they’ve been pretty deficient in addressing numerous issues I’ve encountered over my time here.My new apartment flooded due to a contractor error and luckily my place is not very furnished and I don’t have a lot of stuff that could have been damaged otherwise it could have been a disaster. The maintenance team was on quick on the scene and worked overtime to reverse the flooding and get my apartment back in shape, but after a sleepless night and 36 hours of pure stress I endidn’t hear a single word from management apologizing or checking in on my apartment. Exterior top floor windows have been shattering in the building and leaving broken glass strewn throughout the communal area grass near the dog park and other entrances, which is obviously a huge hazard for both residents in people. I can show pictures of just how much glass I alone had picked up on a daily basis. There was zero communication about this safety hazard from the management office and I had to put my foot down and mention money (my pet deposit) after a string of communication for them to actually take this issue seriously after weeks. This was really concerning to me.Finally, my heating and air hasn’t been working for nearly a month going now. The maintenance crew provided me a industrial fan as I need to keep my apartment cool for health issues but it’s cumbersome and extremely loud for how little it helps so it hasn’t been the best resolution. They’ve worked hard to coordinate fixing of the issue as it’s out of their expertise but with the amount of time that his issue has dragged on, I would’ve expected some communication from the office around this issue to-date.

Here is my experience for the last week only. Everyday I have to start my day with one of the building’s troubles and mismanagement.Construction work started at 8:30 am at least three times this week. Imagine waking up to the sounds of hammers and drilling. I sent an email before about the morning noise and it was completely ignored I didn’t even receive a reply.This morning I booked the gym from 9-10 AM and I went to ask one of the staff to open it for me but no one was in the office. Five minutes later I see one of the staff opening it for the cleaners and I try to enter but he kicked me out of the amenity since the door was not opened by the management (again I booked the amenity to use it at that time). I wait for a few minutes and I try again with the management office and the same staff opens the door, I ask if someone can open the gym for me and again he refuses and slammed the door in my face.30% of the time management staff are not available to open the gym for me. Also if the staff responsible to open the amenity is not there, some staff refuse to open it. They created a system that they cannot manage and when I try to find a solution they reject it. I was ok with all of that until today, the fact that this place has become unfriendly to its residents has made me write this review.

Worst apartment complex I’ve ever lived in the the DC metro area in the last 15 years. They forget about you as soon as you sign the lease. The building office sends out regular emails warning tenants not to park in the “Future Tenants” parking spaces, but the staff are so lazy THEY park in the spaces because they cannot walk from the parking lot to their office (see attached pics). Cleaning staff use the “community amenities” that are “off limits” due to COVID to paying tenants. Complaints about loud neighbors and pot-smoking go unaddressed. Door locks regularly break, maintenance requests go unanswered, and the staff are generally unpleasant. This place is a clown show! Do not make this mistake!

Rented a studio apartment here last September. Very happy with my unit, especially with the upgraded appliances and finishes. Never had any pest issues. All of the folks in the office were very helpful, Abie and Byron in particular.The on site gym is nicely maintained but could use a bit more equipment. My only complaint is that the patio lights in the back of the building remain on all night, creating a lot of light pollution for apartments on the back side of the building. I had to install my own blackout curtains in order to darken the apartment at night. Overall though, its a good place.

Bina she is a nice person she help me a lot. If I have a question she is always there to help me get a answer. She helps us follow the roles for COVID-19.

To put it simply, this place is the Spirit airlines of apartments, you think you will be paying a fair price, but you will pay more with your dignity.They are done being friendly with you once the contract is signed, you will become just another apartment number and a nuisance for any request.Our apartment literally had a football sized hole underneath the A/C ( we didnt notice it till a drafty February night. We contacted the management and they patched it up with foam and a piece of carton from one of our moving boxes. We thought they would come back to finish the job, but once we contacted the management, they informed us no construction crew will need to come out and that will be it and would let us move out if we didnt like the patch up job they did.They are deceitful. They will call you to resign the contract saying there was a mistake in their inventory and they dont have a signed contract, ( after having lived there for 5 months) and have you sign a new contract with little amendments to clauses that fit their agenda.They ignore resident safety and will fail to resolve any issues.The only thing that they had going well at that place was a nice lady named Virginia, but of course they let her go, as she was the only person among the management staff that knew how to communicate and treat residents with respect and a smile.Be prepared to be treated and live like a second class citizen once you sign the contract, as the appliances and renovated infrastructure wears off and makes you start counting the days till your move out date.

I have been a resident with Dominion for about 8 months now. Overall, I can say that my experience has been nothing short of exceptional. Specifically, Eugenia was remarkable during my move-in process. She was resourceful, helpful, professional, but most importantly kind. I enjoy seeing Eugenia around the property. She is always sweet and tells me hi-- she also remembers my name!Additionally, Bina has been my go-to for help getting reservations made on the property. She has been patient with me while I tackled some tech issues and is always polite even when unable to support my requests. Bina also assisted me during my move-in process and made my experience more enjoyable overall despite the circumstances.Overall, I am very satisfied with the community support at Dominion, especially with Eugenia and Bina. They are great to have around.Regarding my actual unit, I am super satisfied. I love my studio because it is cozy and features brand new appliances. I also have great closet space. The washer and dryer are not that great but I am fine with them since they are new and a brand name. Additionally, the maintenance crew is prompt and timely, especially Wilfred. He is a great resource. I am always confident that if I have an issue, it will be resolved in a timely and professional manner when working with them.Last but not least, this apartment is clean. Shout out to the cleaning/sanitization people I see often cleaning the elevator lobbies, door handles in the main entrance area, the floors, and other areas in the apartment. They dont really say much but their work, during the pandemic especially, speaks volumes. I always have a squirt of free hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the building, and I appreciate that little touch of effort.THANK YOU DOMINION!

I love living at Dominion! Move-in was easy, common areas are always clean, and the leasing staff is always friendly/accessible! Our apartment is always quiet (we never hear our neighbors or their pets). Everything in the apartment is updated, rooms are spacious, and the pool looks amazing. I continue to recommend this apartment complex to all of my friends searching in the Arlington area!

Dont rent here! I inquired online about a studio apartment and the leasing agent contacted me and set up a time for me to visit. I drove 40 minutes to check out a studio apartment, when I got there, I was told they have no studios to show me, and if Id like to see a one bedroom that is similar. What is the point of scheduling a showing when they cant or wont show me what I am looking for?! Thanks for nothing!

Just moved in, so far it seems like a nice place. They just remodeled a very old building so I imagine theres some growing pains to that. We had a minor leak from some ill-fitting pipes, and they came by within 30 minutes to fix it. All service requests have been followed up on very quickly and the whole staff has been great. The building and the units themselves are beautiful. All new appliances, gas stoves, A/C, fast hot water and even faster internet. The gym has a nice balance of machines and free weight areas, they even have a dedicated cycling room. This place has everything youd want in terms of location and amenities, worthy of the high price tag.

Kai is very helpful, professional and goes beyond to make sure we are happy with our over all experience, an asset for sure. Need help she won’t let you down, made our over all experience a pleasant one

Reasonably quiet building; hallways clean, both elevators allow quick access to upper floors; on average, fellow tenants are cordially friendly, and the front end desk staff friendly and helpful; the maintenance staff are top notch.The apartment I am in, maintains room temperature very well, often reducing, the need to use a/c or heat; The a/c and heating elements are somewhat noisy at times, intermittently, and the plumbing and electricity elements probably need upgrading, but, all in all, the apartment and the building deserve at least 4 stars, when you add in the fantastic bus access, huge parking lot, a 7/11 across the street, steps away from the building, a huge backyard for children to play in, and for tenants to picnic in, with friend and family; and the Thomas Jefferson middle school facilities across the street, that has a decent work gym for adults and modestly affordable membership fees.The one caveat; we are told the building is going to be renovated, in the near future, and tenants, at that time may be evicted. Thats a biggy!!!

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!! READ AS TO HOW THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY TREATS THEIR RESIDENTS.The washers and dryers claim to be new but “BREAK DOWN” every month. The apartments have shoddy workmanship, just two months from moving in, the blinds broke, the washer and dryer broke, the AC was not functioning properly in a NEW and one of the most “EXPENSIVE” units they had. The crowd? Even worse, everybody complains about the noise. Construction? Forget about it, the workmanship and the construction of the building is so old and of such poor quality that you can hear EVERYTHING, from the floor above or next to you, the hallways have bad smells, and the cleaning staff is never completing its job. Think the leasing office looks nice? JODI is evil and she cares about nothing else than money in her pocket, as well as her staff of minions who follow her commands. They do not provide any service whatsoever or dialogue to troubleshoot problems, they just send you to an attorney and don’t care about your living situation or quality of life. The building sucks, the community complains about everything, construction is outdated, amenities are of second class and quality, and worst of all the staff puts a smile on their face but then stick a knife behind your back. DO NOT RENT HERE!!! I REPEAT DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!! WORST PLACE AND DECISION I COULD HAVE EVER DONE.

I moved in to a 2br/2ba at the end of February 2019 and have been pleased and impressed with the community staff and maintenance team. Staff are courteous and knowledgeable and the maintenance team is prompt and professional.

As an Arlington native, I appreciate the orginal style that was kept and all of the newness of today. The parquet floors remind me of growing up with my grandma in Arlington as well as the little built in shelves. But it’s not grandma’s with the herringbone tile in the kitchen, the brand new appliances, white countertops, open area, new tile floors , bathrooms, and washer & dryer. The washer has a ton of options. It’s one of my favorite things.The gym has peloton bikes and a ballet barre with full mirrors and big screen tv. The lounge has a walkout patio that’s lit at night, with grills, seating, and fiireplace as if you’re in an outdoor restaurant of your own. The large pool, with the cabanas is just another part of living here that we got to enjoy this summer.I was one of the first to move here and as neighbors started to move in, it was nice to see how friendly everyone is here. The staff communicates with us frequently to keep us up to date. The maintenance people are friendly and courteous.This review is long overdue. We moved in our apartment 11 months ago - October 2018.

Poor customer support, no follow ups, unprofessional behavior of the associates. Waste of time!Regarding your response. Dont bs. The 2nd ID wasnt expired, so no, it doesnt work that way where you try to make the customer look wrong. Service is poor and rude as well, as non-professional . And, oh, the rat problem you have at those apartment does exist, right!

Perfect location, front desk and maintenance staff is very polite and friendly, BUT if you have children, you are not welcomed, elderly tenants hate children. windows are not locking and those are single pane, ac/heater units are made in beginning of 20th century, thermostats dont work, it supposed to control the air, but it works constantly never pauses.As long as you are always tired to do anything in your apartment, not watching TV, not taking shower, not flushing your toilet, not talking, have no friends to come over for diner or branch, not dropping anything on the floor accidentally what makes a noise, not closing and opening interior metal doors (all interior doors are steel :), and not only doors, Kitchen cabinets as well), and walking on your tip-toes, YOU WILL BE WELCOME HERE. FOR LIVING PURPOSES THIS PLACE IS UNBEARABLE, BUT IF YOU WANT TO HAVE PLACE TO SLEEP (BEDROOM ONLY FOR SLEEPING NOTHING MORE :) ), THIS APARTMENT IS PERFECT. BEWARE OF LOT OF GRUMPY TENANTS

WARNING/RODENT ALERT: A mouse ran across the floor in my apartment at 4am this morning!!!! Garbage chute on the floor was full of trash all weekend long....

So many issues because of poor management, probably related to mgmt no longer caring about residents due to impending eviction of residents and redevelopment, but the latest disaster is the lack of coverage for the pool, the one amenity that was available and made summers tolerable. No life guard on the weekend, when everyone wants to use the pool, is inexcusable.

Big problem with mice. Probably because they havent renovated since...ever.
