I do not recommend going to kevin for highlights as i have gone to him multiple times and he has messed up my hair continuously. This time was the last time i will ever go back as i left the salon with grey/green hair when i asked for bright blonde. I spent 4.5 hrs there yesterday and came back this morning and its still not good in any way. Very disappointed and upset as I am going to be the maid of honnor in my sisters wedding this weekend and now my hair is awful.

Had an exclusive manicure and essential pedicure with Daisy. She was very thorough and had a nice touch. Left my nails and skin looking fantastic. The overall experience was very relaxing. The products felt and smelled really nice and the nail polish was clearly very good quality. Didnt leave any streaks or bubbles. The pedicure area also felt like a nice little lounge. 5 stars all around. :)

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary first stop was here. He got a massage and I got a pedicure. No complaints here! All the employees were very welcoming. Luda did my pedicure she was so nice and easy to talk with. She did such a nice job on my toes. If we didnt live a hour away I would definitely go back there.

I usually go to Tricoci Vernon Hills but needed my highlights done ASAP. The lady (Jade) made me sign a waiver to have my hair done even though it’s only been highlighted twice. She kept telling me that all my hair is falling out and that it is immensely damaged. At first I was in shock and wondered why my other regular hair lady didn’t tell me anything. But I realized my hair wasn’t as bad as she said it was. I asked for white blonde highlights on my brunette hair and ended up getting chunky lines as well as orange tones even after toner. My experience felt extremely unprofessional and I still paid in full+tip! If you want good highlights I would recommend going to someone else at this location or just going to Vernon hills.

This was my first time here and I cannot say enough good things about my experience! I get breakouts now because of the masks we need to wear. Veronica helped me decide on a custom facial specifically to meet my needs. Not only was the facial relaxing, but I left feeling immediately smoother, tighter and my skin is glowing. Great experience from the start. First time to any tricoci. Had a great massage. Very welcoming. My wife had a pedicure and would definitely go back.

My husband and I went for a massage at the Arlington Heights location on 2/28 and though we had two different massages, we both felt the same after. We were both disappointed by the effort put into the massages, and actually felt more in need of a massage than before we went in. Both of us felt like our muscles were tired out and achy after. Not the usual relaxed, loosened up feeling that we leave with (we usually go to another location). I’m not sure what happened but we are both feel very sore in our upper back and neck since then. We had the hot stone and signature massage, so neither are deep tissue massages. So adding to this, I did email their customer service to let them know about our experience ahead of writing this review. However I did not hear back from them before or after writing this review. I now see they left a comment on my review, to contact them. I did this prior to writing the review... they still have not responded or acknowledged my email to them (even though it’s mentioned I reached out to them in my review that they appear not to have read).

Went in for a pixie cut, which I’ve had several times before and loved. Olivia did my hair first and cut it more than an inch shorter than the reference photo I brought. Went in the next day to get it fixed by Lana, a more experienced stylist, and it looks even worse now. I’ve never cried over a haircut before. Do not spend your money here or at any other Tricoci location.

Amazing people. Amazing environment. I had long hairs and i wanted to cut it short. I have never cut my hair short till shoulders. It was my first time experience and i wanted it to be the best shot. For that, i needed someone who understands me from where i am coming from. Olivia, was my hairdresser and she did phenomenon job. I didnt appreciate her that much because i was in shock 😱😱 like a good shock! Olivia, you did amazing job. I would highly recommend her. She will guide you and comfort you by answering to all of your questions.

Gina is great, she knows exactly what to do. Especially with my short pixie cut. Very personable and makes you feel at ease. Carmen is very good as well! The front desk is so sweet and really helpful they do not get enough credit for what they do. They have been extremely helpful and I appreciate that!

I had very bad experience with hair color not with the blow dry .the product was very strong that I had to wash my hair the following day after I paid 150 for color and blow dry I just wasted my money I had very bad head ache for days. Never again come to this place for color .

I have never made a decision until I complete my due diligence and again, the hardwork pays off. After researching local salons, I decided on Mario Tricoci because of their reputation and price point. The easy part was Tim. His work and commentary on social media quickly convinced me that he was the right choice.Tim is affable and laid back as a stylist. He listens and applies his extensive knowledge to what is capable of being done. Hes not aggressive but clear on his suggestions. Hes earned my trust after two visits.Pick Tim.

Sobbed for hours after getting my hair done. I came in for a blonde balayage and walked out with a full head of bright white gray hair. When I complained to Kevin (my hair colorist) about what he had done to my hair he would not own up to his mistakes. I tried to tell them I shouldn’t have to pay for this because it was not what I came in for and they forced me too. I’m sixteen and was clearly in distress after the coloring and no one showed any remorse not even Kevin who has done this monstrosity to my hair. He tried to blame it on toning but I’m smart enough to know toning doesn’t do that to someone’s hair. I’ve been going to Kevin for two years and this was completely unprofessional of him and because of his humongous mistake which is my hair he and Mario triccoi have lost a loyal good tipping customer. DO NOT COME TO MARIO TRICCOI ARLINGTON HEIGHTS AND EXPECT WHAT U ASKED FOR ESPECIALLY IF U HAVE KEVIN

Right when I walked in the salon, I knew something was going to go wrong. When you get a cut and color, you get your color done first. I was with Annie. It was my first time with her and my appt was at 11am. She didn’t come to get me until 11:20am. And then she takes me back to her chair to go over the color I want in my hair. I showed her a picture AND specifically told her I want a violet tone. She asked “did you want it orange or more violet?”. I again said I want violet. She was already running late because I believe an assistant was letting her know how much time she had left with me. She then brought me to my haircut appt and once I saw my hair I was beyond frustrated. I asked WHY my highlights in my hair orange? She has no explanation. I told her you need to fix this because I am embarrassed of how bad it looks. Even my stylist said “what did she do to your hair”. I then showed my stylist the picture I showed Annie and my stylist said that my hair was nowhere near the violet I wanted. I was brought back to Annie after my haircut and she used this chemical to take the orange out to make it more violet. It took her 3 washes to do this. She had to let it sit for a few minutes in between and she went in back somewhere and when she came back, she reeked like cigarettes. I was already upset at the fact she did the complete opposite color to my hair and now I have to smell cigarettes as she is rinsing my hair. The color was close to what I wanted. I was somewhat satisfied but not completely. At checkout, the ladies asked how my service was and I was honest and said it was not the best. The GM, Nikki was right by me and asked what happened. I told her what happened and said that I don’t deserve to pay almost $300. Annie did ADD the extra charge to my bill to rinse the orange out. So the GM went to talk to some higher up person and then came back and deducted some of the bill. A couple days later, I was told that my hair smelled like chemicals...bad chemicals. I washed my hair 3 times and the smell is still here. Some of my hair is falling out. I called MT, and asked for the corporate number. I believe I spoke to Yanna. She asked what was wrong and I told her what happened about my service and the after math with the smell of the chemicals. She said that I will be getting a call from corporate in regards to this. I highly recommend for those who get their color done here, do not go to Annie. She ran 20 minutes late AND can’t even get the color right when I showed her multiple times.

My daughter went in for a balayage and hair TRIM. Not cut but a TRIM. She asked for her dead ends to be trimmed off and agreed to 1-1.5” off the end, keeping her long layers. Nothing more. She comes home with about 5-6” off and NO LAYERS. Just a straight chop. What the hell is this? Do not go to TIM. He has done this to others.

For about 15 years I have had Kelly exclusively color my hair, and have always been super happy and receive compliments on my color all of the time. My favorite hair stylist left years ago and haven’t had much luck finding another until yesterday when I had Shannon cut my hair. Not only is she really sweet, she cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. I love it and I love the products she recommended.

Kevin is a great colorist. He knows how to help you find the most flattering color and makes it look very natural.

I had my wedding hair done here in September, Audrey did a gorgeous job!! She made my wedding hair vision come to real life. I also had my makeup done here, also a fantastic job done! My makeup stayed on the entire day/night and still looked perfect at the end of the night. The pricing was very reasonable also!

They did terrible on my hair color. It was very bad experience.

I called this hair salon and asked how much they charge for African American natural hair and they told me prices start at 40 but depends on the beautician. When my mom and Igot there the lady didn’t lay one hand on my hair before she said she’s going to have to change me 90 because of my hair texture. I felt discriminated against HEAVY. The guy my mom was assigned to told her he would charge her 60 before playing in her hair for over an hour then told her he would have to charge 80. This shop is NOT FOR BLACK PEOPLE. If you are African American go to the MARIO TRICOCI HAIR SCHOOL IN CHICAGO ON SHERIDAN. They do a great job and only charged my mom and I 22$.

The salon is clean and organized. Of course the rating us all about the colorist and cutter. Jade the colorist 5 stars. Aubrey the hair cutter sadly 1 star. This is the second time Ive been unhappy with my cut. Her skills do not include cutting short hair.

Very unhappy with the fact that I got there to find out the person who was going to do my hair and I talked to her about what I wanted she was very good. But I got there and she was not in and the girl told me she was sick they should have called me. Because they said that the girl they gave me was good and had experience she was not polite showed her a picture of what you want she did not do it cut all of my hair off in the back nothing like the picture and couldnt even do what I was scheduled for and cost more than I was scheduled to pay the other girlDont go there not worth it

Today was my first time at a Mario Tricoci, I had my hair cut horrendously in November by a different salon. I was very scared and saw Izzy, I thought its Mario Tricoci they wouldnt just hire any random person with no skill. It is okay to choose the $40 stylist vs the $80 stylist. I was very specific, I brought pictures. I showed her exactly what I wanted and showed her a picture of exactly what I did not want. I had specific pictures, I trusted her and was very scared. She did exactly what I told her I DID NOT WANT. I was crying in that chair just waiting for her to finish. I couldnt help my tears from rolling down my eyes. I am so upset, having to go to work with this mess on my head. I regret ever going to this place. She stated she cut at a 45° like I dont know what that is. I have a Bob cut on the side, and my hair is cut on a straight 90° in the back. I cant believe how she ruined my hair after I was very specific, if its not a cut she is familiar with why not tell me. I will have to look at this for the next 4 months. I feel I get more upset by the minute. The ladies up front told me next time theyll refer me to a better person, why would she be working there if she doesnt know what shes doing. Of course I should have chosen the $80 stylist at a place with such prestige like Mario Tricoci. I refuse to go back and risk a horrible hair cut for a 3rd time. Im just distraught by this experience and will be reminded of this experience for the next 4 months while it grows.

Go there for massages with Elisabeth. She is excellent, highly reccomend her. Beautiful atmosphere and a lot of services. They also have a membership that rivals the strip mall places.

I love that they always great you very nicely also they always ask if we want lemonade or some water. There hair cuts are really good. I have had less experienced hairstylists do my hair and they do amazing. I am always impressed with how my hair cut comes out. I really like when they straighten my hair or curl it, it looks flawless! One thing is that they are kind of pricey.

I am impressed by the consistent great service that I have been getting at Mario from greeting with a beverage to rewind after busy day at work to getting my fine Curley hair done with satisfaction. Tony is great at touching up my hair and Sarah is excellent hair stylist. She did awesome job styling my hair for recent wedding that I attended, I would strongly recommend both of them at this location.Thank you for maintaining such great service.

Great over the phone service!

Just received the most disappointing facial. Was looking forward to a relaxing morning and my service provider was 10 minutes late for my appointment that I was early for. She was rushing the entire time and I could feel her looking at the clock every few minutes. She didn’t ask or offer any of the specifically facials and assumed I would want the cheapest one which I did not want. Did not explain any of the products she was using and overall very disappointing.

Get eye lash extensions from Nancy. She is the best eye lash cosmetician I have found. I am lazy and do not like to fuss with makeup. With eye extensions I do not have to wear any makeup and I look 15 years younger! Nancy has changed my life.

Jade is an amazing colorist! I get so many compliments on my hair in the weeks following my appointments with her.And Zuzanna is an excellent esthetician! Very thorough and never made me feel rushed.I’ve had nothing but good experiences at this salon & I always look forward to my next appointments.

I had a bad experience with highlight because of a price disagreement. The stylist was understanding and helped out. BUT A TIP make sure you specify the hair you want and ask what the price will be before you start. For example; highlights $90 with a stylist #1, (miscommunication and you accidentally get the wrong hair style) highlights with stylist #2 $130 because it’s not her fault #1 was confused about the kind of highlights that were asked for. Just specify and ask questions. Overall very lovely place spa, nails, and hair (offer water and oj)

The services we’ve received at the Arlington Heights IL salon have been fine but the attitude of the employees is so elitist it’s really off putting. Elle the makeup artist was very sweet but the manager, the desk staff and the hair stylists have been very unfriendly, it feels unprofessional. It’s a shame that the majority of them give off an air that exudes “you are so lucky we’ve agreed to service you”. I’ll go back for makeup applications because that happens only once a year or so but I won’t subject myself to the others who appear to believe that they’re doing the public some special favor. I certainly hope the Tricoci schooling doesn’t encourage that lack of humility and gratitude for business.

I had two terrible experiences at this location. I went to get a haircut and showed the woman two pictures of how I wanted my hair to look like. One picture was of myself to show exactly where I wanted the length to cut off at. The woman cut my hair WAY too short and looks NOTHING like I wanted it to. Her name was Lana and is considered a senior hair dresser. She even touched my back of where I wanted it cut and my hair does not even touch my back anymore. I was so upset with how I looked so I went back and scheduled a consultation meeting for hair extensions. The woman that gave the consultation is named Carmen and was extremely rude. She was blaming me for showing TWO pictures to Lana and said that it confused her. She made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her and she kept saying my hair looks like the first picture I showed. Clearly she was trying to defend the salon instead of addressing the needs of the clients. I tried to give this salon a second chance by scheduling this consultation but I will never going back to this salon again.

The best hair cuts and color service EVER! They fixed my hair after highlights went wrong at another salon. I love the cuts Ive gotten there. Havent tried their other services.

We come for an experience and superior work and I can honestly say I have been robbed!!!I went in for gel overlay and they were lumpy and cracked after a week. Technitian was horrible and lazy. The manager is entry level at best and has no idea how to resolve to help customers. MR.TRICOCI this location needs better trained staff for the price you charge!!!!!!

A few months ago my fiancé booked an appointment at the Mario Tricoci in Arlington Heights. He told the woman on the phone that hed be proposing to me that night. He asked for the best person to do my very first balayage, and she said Courtney. This was my first time at a Mario Tricoci Salon. When we got there, Courtney said it was in the system as only a touch up, so bottom line was, she didnt have time for us. She talked to us and handed us off to Kim. We didnt book a touch up, the confirmation e-mail was for a full balayage session. Kim proceeded and worked on my hair. While my hair was still wet, I got my make up done and just needed a quick blowout to be on our way. As she was drying my hair, I saw that it was awful and needed to get redone; it looked as though my hair was just bleached a few inches from my roots, which were still dark. I was so mortified that I did not think to take a picture of the aftermath, which I regret. After a few minutes, the manager pulled Kim aside and Aileen and Jade tried salvaging my hair. They kept reassuring me and saying, this never happens... were going to make this right... hopefully you give us another chance... so... that felt to me like someone basically saying Yeah, this is a legitimate BIG mistake and its BAD. I think not paying for Kims mistake goes without saying, but we still had to pay $150 for people to try and salvage my hair. Thats not all, we were stuck at that location for about 8.5 hours total there.... we got there at 11:45am and left around 8:15pm (without a chance to eat anything all day)... if I knew this was going to happen, we would not have paid for my make-up, it was a waste. I was sitting around the salon all day, trying not to cry, because I didnt want to ruin the expensive airbrush make-up and lashes application I got. Another thing was, the manager had come by twice to pull Kim off and check on me while I was getting toned, however she left before I was done, and wasnt around to make sure that nothing else went wrong.A few days later we called the location just to express our frustration from that entire day, and our engagement plans being ruined. Also, the fact that we had to pay for the fix to their big mistake, while being there an additional 4.5 hours that we didnt need to be. After a few phone calls with the manager, she refunded what we paid for the hair. A few days later, after telling our parents of my horrible experience at this salon, my future mother-in-law called Mario Tricoci corporate, and they very upset that this would happen at one of their salons, and were more than helpful in making us feel better about going back in the future, to a different location. I want to thank the corporate office for making this whole experience a little easier to deal with. Because of them, we will be going to a different location to give them another chance. Also, thanks to my fiancé for keeping me as calm as possible, by being there with me the entire time.

I always enjoy my appointments at Mario tricoci. Alyssas is a fabulous colorist and she is sweet and friendly. Chriss gives a great cut and we always have nice conversation. Very happy with Marios!

Good work but I think theyre overpriced. Can get the same work done with same quality at much lower prices at Regis or Visible Changes.Too much confusion with signing up for coupons doesnt help much. Just put em up on the site instead of forcing customers to signup with phone numbers to a slow system that needs 24 hours to send a coupon.

It was my birthday and I decided to get balayage done... I am soo upset with the services they offered.. on the website balayage is written categorically $110 depending on the length and density of hair...So I assumed it will be $110 for me as I have very light and short hair but when I spoke to the stylist, I found to my surprise that toning was charged extra for $30 bucks... I have been to many places but no one charges extra for toning.If this wasn’t enough, when I got the color done and hair washed, the stylist left me like that saying u can dry hair on ur own using the dryer... first u can’t just leave anyone with wet hair and after coloring your job is not done till the time hair is dry... when I asked her to dry the hair she asked me $20 extra for the blow dry... I didn’t ask for the blow dry or any styling all I asked to dry my hair that’s all... none of the salon leave u with dripping hair after you get the coloring done and top of that your services are not cheap so client satisfaction does matter...

I was late for my appointment because of the rain which is my bad and im getting my hair done for prom so i asked if they could still take me and they said yes. i booked a night out blow dry which if you look on the website IT SAYS: Includes shampoo, blow dry and styling with hot tools (curling/flat iron etc) for a more glamorous finished look. This girl takes me in her hair doesnt even BRUSH MY HAIR and starts curling it and it took like 20 minutes. I had no problem with this i was expecting it to be $15-20 dollars sinc e thats all she did but when i went to checkout this woman said its $50 to which i said all she did was curl my hair so that cant be true and she said she will go find a technician and she comes back and says that the price for a hot tool is $5o dollars. The price for a night out blowdry with SHAMPOO, BLOW OUT AND A HOT TOOL IS $40 AT THE MARIO TRICOCI ARLINGTON HEIGHTS LOCATION. I could have done what that girl did to my hair for one better and two fcr free. You bet i told this story to EVERY girl in the bathroom of my prom, on the dancefloor and at the tables. Not only did i do that i told my friends as well what happened to me here and i will continue to tell this story to everyone i meet. You lost a customer for life.

Receiving highlights for years from Colorist Kelly. Ive tried other salons for color..Marios is the best.

I was at the salon last Sunday with a photo for red color base hair with blonde highlights. The hairs technique of Kim was poor and she was not able to get even close to the photo. Front desk girls were polite and they did offered re-done. I did set up appointment with another hairs technician and he just added some strong red highlights on the top of my hair considering that I would like to look as a fall tree with red, orange, brown, black strips on my damaged hair. I set up a third re-done a week later and the specialist said that nothing can be done my hair to be fix and I need to wait more days to get a base color and blonde highlights. The time I loose and the dispoiments were not worth the price I paid. Unbelievable what was done with my hair at this place. I will not recommend this location to no one .
