After calling to many companies, looking for quotes for a new roof, gutters, and skylights, and after having no calls returned, I called Amsterdam. They sent an estimator out the next day, and within 3 days I had a detailed, easy to read quote sent to my email! They took care of EVERYTHING. The permits, inspections, clean up, everything!!! The crew was very nice as well as the office staff. I would recommend Amsterdam to anyone!

Compared to other companies I considered, Amsterdam had the best price for the work being done. I am extremely satisfied with the results and repairs they had done! They were on time and Gerard was very experienced and skilled and knew what he was doing.

I looked at several different companies however Amsterdam was definitely the best choice. They did my gutters and repaired the roof and overall had outstanding and fast service. The staff was all very helpful and kind and made the experience easy and great. I highly recommend!

After a huge storm came through, we noticed a horrible leak in our roof. I had water pouring into my living room!!! Amsterdam came out the same day and tarped the area to stop the leaking, and then were out again once the weather was clear to repair it!! I am so grateful for their quick response in my time of need.

Here is a picture of their quality of work. Our chimney cap was installed crooked by them and when I called they said their installer would come back out to fix it. That was a month ago and no one has come back yet. I have emailed them multiple times asking for an update and have not received any response.

I have used Amsterdam Enterprises for a number of things over the past several years. I have been completely satisfied with their professionalism and the quality of their work, at fair reasonable prices. I am very particular and received great reviews from other references before I even hired them.It starts with the owner, Gerrard, who is very active in assessing the work, visiting the site and making sure the customer gets what they wanted with the project. The office personnel are very helpful , polite and personable to work with as well. Magen is always available to talk about what you need and has a direct line with the owner to get things done. The crew are professional, high quality and clean up when done at the site.I had a fairly large roof replaced over multiple days, with flashing and it looks beautiful. Gerrard offers suggestions, but is never pushy with what you like, unless he feels you are making a big mistake, and he will tell you and then guide you to better alternatives. We made a few adjustments along the way, and the team was always willing to work with me on modifications.I also had my front masonry brick entrance porch walls rebuilt as it was in need of repair. Amsterdam did an excellent job knocking it down and rebuilding along with new limestone sills and it looks great.Last, I use them for gutter cleaning and misc. flashing or gutter repair. They are always willing to help, and as a loyal customer, they are always willing to offer me advice on projects.They are 5 stars !

Asked for a quote on my roof. They came out and said they had it ready but never bothered to send it over despite repeated attempts to get the quote. It was not a small job a full new roof on both a house and detached garage so it wasnt that it wasnt worth their time. Its just a complete lack of follow through and professionalism

After being stood up by another company, I called Amsterdam. Magen the office manager was very pleasant and assured me that they could help me.I needed a downspout repaired and I was afraid it was too small of a job. Magen said they would be happy to come out and take a look at the problem and give me an estimate. Later that day ,Gerard came and took a look and gave me the estimate which was a fair price.The very next day Juan came to do the repair. He was so nice and did a great job !! I highly recommend Amsterdam !They were quick and efficient and great to work with. I would not hesitate to call them again for my roofing and gutter needs.

I’m so thankful for great organization of work around my new house! At the last moment the company I had booked previously for exterior renovation of my house (roof, gutters and windows replacement), cancelled appointment. Fortunately my friend advised me this roofing company. I needed to organize and plan the entire exterior renovation quickly before my trip to Europe and that was not so easy because it was a huge change. The contractors replaced the roof, gutters and all of the windows and I’m very happy with their job!

I have called your roofing contractors in Arlington Heights to have a full inspection of my roof, gutters and siding. I told the contractor who came out where the location of the leaks is. They have been very friendly and the inspection went great. The roofing contractors finished the job on time, and I could tell that the work theyve done will last me for years!

Ive used Amsterdam twice. They deliver. They are on time and offer quality installation. Ron was great to work with and offered lots of suggestions. Lisa always followed through when ever I had questions.

Very shady and sketchy company! Called made an appointment with the receptionist who was very polite. I asked for someone to come out to do a full inspection of the roof, gutters and siding. So we can find all the problems and make sure we have zero leaks! Technician who I believe was the owner came out. I told him where I believe the roof was leaking from and asked him if he wanted access into the attic and if he was going to go on the roof. He then told me no I don’t go into attic’s to look for leaks from roofs. Then I asked him again if he was going to go on the roof and he stated no, i’ve been doing this for more than 30 years based on what you’re telling me I know what you need.......! I was a little taken back. I called the office and I told them he was at my home for about 10 min did not go in the attic nor go up on the roof. She seemed surprised. I then asked her if it was normal for them not to go on the roof or into the attic to look for leaks she said no, they normally do both (go on roof and into attic)I have had 2 other companies out this week for a quote and both went through my attic did an inspection and went on the roof to do a full roof/gutter/siding inspection . Both found the same problems. I just wanted a 3rd quote for my own peace of mind. I will be calling a different company!
