This is the first review I think I have felt I had to write on google. I had an appointment at this location, the very first time I have ever gone to a 3rd party tax prep service. The lady that helped me was short and rude, talking over me at every step. Every question I had she got more impatient and condescending. They didnt even bother bringing me into a room, but were talking to me about my taxes and personal info right in the reception area with people coming in. One guy started to walk in and they all shouted at him to come back in 5 minutes. At one point I heard someone come in and start innapropriately talking with the receptionist about another customer (I assume he was the manager). I had questions about a special tax situation I had, which is the only reason I went to them. The lady got up and started walking away saying to come back when I had more info. She started arguing with me and I just walked out. The lady had the nerve to follow me out the door, shouting at me. Most awful customer service I have ever had.

He prepared my tax last year and I was very happy with it and I will continue having him to do my future tax filings.

Dose not listen to you and blames it to be your fault when you give her all the information and takes a huge chunk of your return.

Great employees in Arcata location so I always go back

Great professional service. The experience is always quick and interesting. The tax expert is extremely skilled. She pays attention to detail, remembers everything Ive told her, and works to render a perfect product each time. I feel fortunate to work with her.

I did my tax prep here last month. I paid the fee and expected a thorough tax prep with no errors. I had to go to the free tax prep source (VITA) and file an amended return. I’m never going to any H&R Block again if this is the quality of service.

I would NEVER recommend using one of H&R Block’s tax “experts” to file your taxes for them. My partner filed with them and they managed to screw it up THREE times. We have been waiting for the return for over two months now and after PROMISING that they sent in the taxes and that they were accepted that third time they tried, I receive a call the LAST day to file taxes saying the IRS actually did not accept the tax return because they entered in his social wrong. SMH negligence three times is truly embarrassing on their part and I assure you it is not worth the money, time, or stress of dealing with these people, completely unacceptable.
