From the moment I walked into the door to inquire about the kids class, I knew I was in the right place. The instructors were able to naturally bond with my son right away. They know how to get down on his level, be a positive influence, and make Jiu-jitsu fun. It’s easy to tell they’re passionate and love teaching children. My kid is always smiling and on the days he has jiu-jitsu, he’s begging and pleading with me to take him early so he’s not late. It’s unreal. I recommend all kids learning Jiu-jitsu especially since my son experienced bullying all through preschool. He used to be afraid to compete with other kids in sports, and hated going to school. Now he loves school and loves competing, he’s a 100% confident. I feel relief that I don’t have to worry about him on the school playground or in the bathroom. It’s been life changing, and it’s not just my son. I have seen it with every kid that’s come through their door.My advice to the parents: bring your kid, then sit down and be quiet, and let the professionals do their thing. After class tell your child you’re proud of them for coming, and that’s it. Let your child go out there get comfortable, and eventually they’ll spread their wings and fly. These coaches know what they’re doing, and too often as parents we yell out because we’re experiencing feelings that the child may not even be feeling in their world. Then when we yell out the child feels like he or she is disappointing us, which makes it not as fun for the child, if it’s not fun they’re not going to want to keep coming back. Trust me these instructors know what they’re doing, as a parent, you’re not going to help, most likely you’ll just mess it up. Anyway, hope this helps anyone considering Jiu-jitsu for their child.

Lost Boys BJJ houses some of the best teachers and masters of BJJ that Humboldt has to offer, and if their talent is any indication, the world. The staff are knowledgeable, passionate, and honest to goodness amazing folk. Im thrilled to have learned from these amazing people, on not just the art behind BJJ, but compassion and genuine connection and help understand the sport. Brian and CO have created a robust and beautiful community. Im honored to have passed through and have gleamed more than I hoped from this gem of a gym.I hope to see you all soon!

I was looking to train while on travel for work and I found the Lost Boys BJJ gym. Besides being a great group of people they train well and were very open to me training with them. I was worried at first that I would not be welcomed because I work out of another gym but my fears of not being accepted were short lived. I look forward to coming back and rolling with them again. I dont normally write reviews but I had to do it in this case. If you want good training in BJJ go to the Lost Boys. Thanks again guys.

I was travelling thru and dropped in for an open mat training. Very open and friendly folks there, good atmosphere, nice new dojo (particularly good mats). I had a few good rolls there and learned some new stuff -- special thanks to Dante for the tips.

Lost Boys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the best gym in the area. It started with my younger grandchildren enrolling for jiu jitsu and my older granddaughter doing muay thai. My son later on started taking Muay Thai as well. Somehow they have all talked me into taking part in jiu jitsu as well. Not only do they do jiu jitsu and muay thai, they have also started a wrestling program. They are a family friendly gym who are friendly, encouraging, and motivating. Go Team Lost Boys!
