This company is a straight up joke. They do nothing to satisfy their loyal customers, just over charge people and screw them out of money. The only reason I have this trash company is cause spectrum does not service out here. The moment I hear that they are I’m ditching this company and going to spectrum. This is ridiculous can’t even watch Netflix with the router a foot next to it.

Terrible cable internet was forced to use this because it was the only cable internet company in the area. We have a total of 3 people in our household we were forced to upgrade plans we pay $100 dollars for terrible internet that actually has the audacity to have a data cap. Impossible to game, luckily a new cable internet company has recently opened up i completely recommend switching to them im in the process of switchingps. Their customer service on the phone is terrible. No help and was extremely rude!!!

This company over charges for this area. Also the company also does not offer static IPs so dont even bother to ask. They will have their business client pay for a 50Mbps download at the price of a residential 300 Mbps download. I know Spectrum has been talking about moving into our area and I truly cant wait until they do. I dont know if they just have someone who running the show not know what he/she is doing, or just to big headed. But they need to come back to earth and realize their monopoly will not last forever.

Worst internet service I’ve ever experienced! Been with cable one for years. I went from a 4 bedroom 1200 square foot house in Ingleside to a 2 bedroom 940 square foot house in Aransas Pass. Upgraded to get better service through my small house and nothing but a over charge on Internet! Why we can’t have more options for internet servers is beyond me. I pay less for a Business in Port A. The city needs to allow more servers into our area! Total BS....

Moved from one side of town to the other and had to leave AT&T fiber and use sparklight as it was the only provider available. My internet cost are doubled and my speed is halved., and my ping is 3x what it used to be. Currently in an outage, sparklight has no clue what is going on, or when it will be fixed. Dropping this company as soon as fiber gets here

They say it’s high speed and it lags and they throttle your speeds down when you have unlimited internet. Your internet connection don’t work and they don’t even tell you. For the price of $120 this is the worst internet we have ever had, I go to use my internet hotspot on my phone and my phones internet works better and it’s only 35$ a month I must say internet company’s that offer their services are a joke !! I say they don’t get a star they get negative stars !!

Sparklight(formerly Cable One) is pretty much all you can get in Aransas Pass. Been with them for years, Bill goes up every year too. For the most part, service has been good/decent, at least better than other alternatives in this area. They do include some questionable charges on their bills (Broadcast TV Surcharge / Sports Surcharge / Franchise Fee-twice). Just another method of getting a little more out of you, but what can you do..

It was easy to make an appointment & when they arrived it took less than 20 min. However the cable they installed is messed up & our internet doesn’t work. It’s been over a week & we still don’t have internet but I was charged 2 weeks ago.

This company is amazing but the techs that are hired here areHorrible, horrible, I had a tech come out Nmaed Sean Shaler at the aransas pass office, was so rude, disrespectful, did a very tacky job with wires hanging down low, and hanging off my house my box lid broke off and he did not replace it, all my connection in the box are becoming rusted. I asked him if he could fix the line he just put up and he responded with that is not my job. He drove his truck into my yard and left big tire marks from mud he also ran over my water sprinklers because he didnt want to carry his ladder to the pole in the back of my house. He left wires hanging on the pole I hope they dont have electricity going through them. My internet and my tvs constantly lose service and the people I talked to told me there was interference in my lines, Sean checked and said there were no issues, my internet is still messing up even though he changed the modem.

Cant even tell you about speeds. They scheduled us for today, then sent an automated message that they will be here between 1 and 2. At 215 got another message that they will be here between 345 and 445. Tech came, not sure what he did.. and left. Said our internet would be up in 10 mins. 30 min later I have to call and.go through 11 min of automation before getting a person who has no idea why it wont work and cant send anyone out until tomorrow... and couldnt tell me a time window.

Horrible internet service, you never get the speed you pay for. I pay 125$ for 1000mb download and 50 upload but never got any thing higher than 600mb. Most days I get 25mb download and 2mb upload. Always lagging and never consistent, would like to get speeds atleast close to what I pay and some consistency.

Scheduled an install and took the day off of work.....got a text stating the technician was on his way and I waited.... 1 hour goes by and nothing so I call the installation department, sat on hold (listening to the repeated message about how they pride themselves on customer service..😤) and was then told that the technician needed some type of equipment he didnt have. She said she would talk with the call center and call me right back. Another hour goes by and nothing so I call back. At this point I was told they dont service my address and my install was canceled. Stated that I should have gotten a notification......the only notification I got was the technician was on his way...😤😡😡

The Aransas Pass a local, office Representatives are a plus other departments should take notes from these reps to serve the customer better, be more efficient. It is truly challenging and frustrating to communicate with the representatives that the call you THINK you are calling which instead is being forwarded a much different style of ..... service.Hours of your time are taken.Reference the service techs over phone is ridiculous. Tune better served is to Google it or analyze yourself. Same results as their instructions...The field reps on the most part are sensitive and I have experienced arrogant ones.In defense of the good deeds I have gotten here, I considered these to be blessings.

Sparklight has a local office to help customers. Ive had this serice for parts of 2 years and have had excellent service. When you call Help, you get a person you can understand, a friendly voice and a good remedy to the issues.

I recently ordered internet service from your company online seven days in advance. I own a second home where they were going to install it and I drove 6 hours to meet the tech on our scheduled appointment time. That never happened. When I called the 877 number to find out what had happened I was greeted by a very pleasant lady that seemed genuinely interested in helping me. She looked up my order and told me that they had not verified if you service my area yet (even though my neighbors use your service) and the tech was not showing up that day. She could not tell me why no one contacted me and canceled my appointment. It was the worst start to a new account that Ive ever experienced. Cable One is not a mom and pop shop and I would expect better from you. The number one rule in business is its easier to keep a customer than to get a new one. This may be a customer you never get.

First of all after getting billed three times in a row within minutes, took them 7 days to refund the money but came out of our account right away. Secondly when i called to get my money back they told me I wouldnt be charged for Sept. at all for the inconvenience - today I get a email stating that I owe the entire month of Sept. PLUS Octobers bill. Unlike other areas people have a choice in who they would like to go with for Internet providers. This is a monopoly, I will be changing as it seems as if no one here knows what is going on with their billing.

Bill started at 40 and it just a year it has gone up to 140 and this is just strictly internet! Wish we had more options in Ingleside.

Had installation scheduled for April 9th fro 1-5pm. I was there all day (took day off from work) awaiting call. I answered every Robo-call to make sure I would catch call. There was one call “UNKNOWN “ that rang once and hung up before I could answer. I called at 3:15 and was told that someone called around 1pm and no answer. I told this person what I stated above and was told they would call tech and call me back with time. I received NO CALL. I called back at 5:15 and was told that my installation was cancelled!!! After sharing above info to this person I was told there was nothing they could do. I called the next morning and talked to another person who said the best they could do was a reschedule for April 22! That will be almost a month from my first call ! There is NO ONe at office to talk to, only call center operators! This isn’t tight. I now have no TV for Two weeks!

There cable TV is high. If you get the basic you get 8 channels that have nothing on then. Your better off with an antenna. At least that way you know theres 3 channels and you wont be disappointed. Their Internet is a joke. If you stream shows you end up paying over 100 a month just for internet. My bill is about 170.00 a month they just contacted me and said I need to get a larger Internet plan. I wish they werent the only provider in Aransas Pass.

The install was never completed. The installer said he didnt have the correct tools. We were told another installer was coming out to finish, that was two weeks ago.We only have half the channels we are supposed to have. The rest of the channels are blocked. The TIVO box doesnt even have the correct time, it is two hours off. The guide doesnt work because the clock has the incorrect time. There is no customer service. Once they take your money thats it, no follow up or assistance. We cannot watch on demand because they charge for everything, you wpuld think that $200/month would get you some kind of on demand for free.

As for their internet service was okay it would occasionally loose signal but as for the customer service of the actual office in aransas is terrible. First time I went to sign up they were impatient. I called recently to let them know I was moving locations and asked if they provided service in that area and they were short and told me yes. I asked the lady that took my call if she was sure and she said yes. And of course I asked more questions on how what steps are next since she didnt want to feed me information over anything. So we moved locations and called the office and they tell me they dont service my area. So I come to drop off the box to only find the office closed an hour early but with staff still inside. These women dont like to work and this will not be the first bad review over them, they need to reconsider keeping their staff.

I shared issues I was having with several different customer service agents and nothing was done to show that Cable One even cared if we were customers or not. I was also told different things about the issue and had a bad experience with the service tech. I definetly have a negative view of Cable One but, it is the best Internet option we have right now.

Service is great for working at home. No interruptions. No speed loss. WiFi on the other hand is inconsistent and goes out one day a week. Nothing will download (TV, iPad, either phone or kindle pad.) This lasts 12 hours plus. My WiFi analyser shows a major drop of 50 percent on these days. We have been using cable one for 6 weeks.

They have an exclusive contract with Ingleside so we all have to deal with crappy pricing and no unlimited internet. Unfortunately I didnt find out until *after* we bought our house. Im now paying more than twice the price for service than I did with a competitor where I was able to get unlimited internet.

Had my cable installed over a month ago and they had to use refurbished boxes because they were out of the new ones and was missing one of the TiVos Im paying for, then after the tech installed everything i only have good reception on 2 TVs out of the 6 Im paying for and 1 has no signal. Called for an appointment and they dont do anything after 5pm so if you and your spouse work theres no chance of getting it fixed, good thing Im off on Fridays. What service company only works till 5pm thats ridiculous. Also, the internet signal is horrible, my daughter cant watch Netflix or Hulu in her room 30 feet away. If i didnt need high speed internet I would go back with Direct TV. If my issues arent fixed soon I will have them pull all this junk out of my house!!!

I am pretty happy with them thus far I am a new customer. I needed a longer cable wire for the hook up to the outside of my RV, so the lady inside the office did wait after hours for me and opened the door to give me the wire. She was very nice to do this for me that evening certainly because I didnt want to have to wait any longer to finally watch Cable TV. I moved into a brand new RV park in Aransas Pass and had been waiting for the time everything was all set up in the new park to receive the Cable One Cable TV. So I got to watch that evening thanks to the kind lady that works there in the Aransas Pass Office that helped me. I also had Wi-Fi with a Cable One Modem installed two weeks later and I am very pleased with the service thus far. I am a binge watcher again. Yay!!! Thank you Cable One.

For years ( at least 6) I have paid what Ive known to be too much for this service (tv and hi speed internet). Ive put up with a lot of mediocre service because there has not been another option... I know Cable one is still repairing from Harvey but this is getting ridiculous... Yes you got service up relatively fast after the storm but I still cant get dependable signals for either tv or Internet well over a month after... Call trouble shooting service and get... Oh it must be the sun... Come on!! Day after day digital tiling to the point you cant watch a program, internet down more time than up... Time to cut the cable... I can get more reliable tv over an antenna now and I think Rockport WiFi is almost up again and allot cheaper... Enough enough

I have called several times and I never get a response that makes any sense, I understand that there has been severe damage to many MANY areas, what I dont understand is how the customer reps for this company know absolutely nothing about when a certain area will be up and running again. This has been going on for over a month and after reading these reviews I see the owner says how many people they have working round the clock??? Then can you please inform me why the customer service reps you have for each area are clueless, shouldnt they be informed of estimated dates and times to tell the general public of when to expect the service to be up and running? especially since you guys are the only cable company here?........Also I returned to work today and saw one of your trucks inspecting some things and i thought YESSS, finallllyy!!! I waived at them and started walking towards them and they drove off. I know that you guys have a great reputation of wonderful customer service so I just took it lightly and went in to check the internet.....NOTHING. I then tried calling but as usual its very hard to get through due to high call volume (probably more upset, concerned customers) , so I just hung up and gave up. This monopoly of company is plaguing the city with super slow speed low usage way over priced with rude service. I get 1/2 the usage I did in corpus at double to triple the cost. Still waiting for them to fix my lines over a month after Harvey. They keep giving my family the run around and poor excuses. Super unorganized and unprofessional. Every time Cableone does something to their channel line up, the guide is messed up in the process and therefore your shows will not record. I pay extra for the TIVO and was told the cable works, just the guide is broken. Well, if the guide is broken, shows will not record which is the point of the TIVO. This issue has been going on now for 5 days and the engineers cannot seem to correct the issue, maybe they should make sure everything will work properly before switching all the channels once again.

I have made a number of calls into Cableone due to my internet not working, they always tell me their is too much going on in my area and move me to a different frequency and then a little bit later I have to call back in. Wifi NEVER works! I pay for a modem from them and it only works about 1/4 of them time. I got a call from AT&T which is my cell phone service provider, apparently i went over my data by 70 dollars. I immediately questioned this as I do not leave the house with my ipad and I have wifi at home. Well apparently my WIFI NEVER works and now I am out an additional 70 bucks! I will be looking for a new service provider.

If I could rate them with negative stars I would. Ive lived in 5 states and 8 cities in the last 15 years, this is the absolute worst internet service provider I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. They have a monopoly here, and use it in the most unethical ways they can devise. Multiple internet disconnects and speeds below 1mg every day (I pay for a 5mg service), they charge me $140.00 a month and cant even deliver the product that costs less than half with every other ISP for same speed and they have limited data where none others do. Where ever this company provides service, is ripe for competition to wipe them out and I pray they do. We are likely going to move just because of this company, good thing we rent. Their motto feels like it must be, the crappiest service for the highest price possible. Stay away if you can.

This place is not worth it but there arent other options that have good reviews either in the Ingleside area. This is the lesser of evils that weve found for Internet but Ive never been more frustrated with an Internet provider in my life.One they have a CAP on data used which in our case is 300 gb and we pay about 60 a month to be limited in our data. Sadly our phones are with T mobile and we get UNLIMITED music and netfix streaming but yet our Internet is capped with no reasonable priced plans for unlimited? Its like back in the day you had limited data on your phones and suddenly companies think its okay to do on Internet with households that stream a lot? We were in Corpus briefly and had ATT u verse which was unlimited for under a 100 a month and the connection NEVER went down but because we are in a smaller town we get no choice on companies to go with?Second lately the only thing our Internet has been doing is crashing in the middle of the night for NO apparent reason. When called its like oh no your stuff should work..oh wait theres scheduled maintenance but yet the company cant be bothered to email their user and let them know about these dates ahead of time so we are aware its a problem on THEIR end? I work at night and from home and I do NOT appreciate the Internet going out constantly as you are affecting MY paycheck but yet you never offer compensation in these cases, even if the Internet has been out for HOURS.Third none of the employees give a crap about you and your problems or trying to make it right when its THEIR company thats messing up. It’s unfortunate that both Ingleside and Aransas Pass allow Cable One to monopolize the internet service provider market. As a result, we get poor customer service, poor connectivity, and ridiculous data caps. This company is a joke they monopolize on their cable internet and put in data caps. Their internet constantly drops and they always give the same excuse of upgrades in the area or an outage and never warn about either. We have a streamer and gaming package for 105 a month and then cap your connection to 500gb of data like they are a phone company, what would be the point of a 200gb download and 50 upload with a 500 gb cap??? There shouldnt be caps on a DSL or Cable lines. Unheard of not to mention we were paying 200 dollars a month for there TV service that would drop and come in fuzzy at times. Good thing we canceled that. Hope another internet provider comes in the area soon!!!

Why are the employees so defensive and condescending? They treated me like I was stupid and I was going to get angry with them. They were not pleasant. I wasnt even upset with them.

Worst ever its ridiculous how much the charge for standard package not to mention the Service is just terrible. Wish we had more options in this area.
