We were there a few weeks ago. The students did there bests under the circumstances and with the supplies they had to use. Just couldnt help thinking the whole time that they are SO being ripped off.How sad to think that this is the quality of education one has to actually pay for! Half the lights were not working. You sit on a wooden bench to get a pedicure. This is suppose to be a place of learning! AT THE VERY LEAST, they should have the STANDARD EQUIPMENT that they would be using out in the real world. I was shock to learn that the nail techs are NOT even allowed to use any metal instruments. Not clippers, or cutters. How absolutely insane!So they will have no hands on training in how to properly sanitize or use these items for the publics safety. This is where they are suppose to be learning the CORRECT way AND use of ALL their tools of their trade!! So now they will go on to expose the general public with only half of the proper knowledge to safely care for their clients. SHAME ON YOU FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF YOUR STUDENTS!

I went to the Academy of Beauty Professionals on Friday, January 22, 2021. The student cutting my hair was Alyssa, who is set to graduate in early February. Right from the start, she made me feel comfortable and important. She was knowledgeable and gave me several tips on how to maintain the style once I got home. She was sweet and friendly, talking about our families as she was close to my daughters age and had two little children about the ages of my grandchildren. It was a very enjoyable hour, and she surely brightened my day.

The student was very thorough. It took her 4 hrs to complete hair trim and partial highlights. Otherwise everything was fine.

Writing on behalf of Sharon Rose: I visited Academy Beauty Professionals on Friday the 19th and was very satisfied with my experience. I had a color and hair cut completed by Athena and was happy with the result. I will be returning.

I went to get a spiral perm then after the perm was done I wanted to get hair trimmed. They cut the hair first and then start rolling my hair as a normal perm and never communicated with me on what they was doing. After I asked when I saw how they was rolling it. I knew it was not what I wanted. I know for a fact that reg perms last about 30 days when a spiral perm last about 6 months. I have always went to beauty schools for my perms. But this is the WORSE place ever. .

Was there Saturday March 6th in the morning, everyone was very friendly and students were all very helpful to each other.

Good luck w/covid safety. Only one student stylist out of 7 (during my visit) wore mask correctly. One customer- no mask at all.Scary environment if concerned about virus.Otherwise, good price for haircut.

My daughter went there for really cool hair color she showed them a picture of the purple and pink color she wanted. 130. 00 later she came out nothing like the picture. Such a ripoff. I would suggest NOT going there. They took advantage of her,

I went for the spa package with my mother for her birthday. It started off rocky with the receptionist demanding emails but saying it wasnt necessary. She asked about 4 or 5 times for emails that already were filled out on the piece of paper.then I went for my eyebrows first and the lady was very nice and did a great job9/10. Next were facials which were also nice but the steamers for both me and my mom they could not figure out how to workStill did a nice job 8/10. Next were nails, both said they dont usually do nails and can get singed off by practicing on manacins. the one girl doing my moms said she is bad and kept apoloizing, which no one wants to hear when they are paying for a service.. The polish they had was old. Mine actually never dried and got messed up before even leaving 0/10. We went to get my mothers hair styled next and they did a great job 9/10. lastly was pedicures and it was to say the least barely funded. They couldnt find new files or toe separators. My polish was still wet on my nails and I complained that its not dryin.she asked if I wanted everything redone, however we had already been there 3.5 hours and didnt have time to get both toes and hands repainted. It was a $79 package so I didnt expect perfection and know they are students but it seemed like it was everyones first day. The gal that I worked with overall was nice and both were friendly but I would only ever go back for facials everything else was definitely not up to par.

As a student going through school for Barbering at this place I was very unhappy. I only had about 30 mins of instruction with a set of clippers. Everything else I learned on YouTube. If you have the chance go else where as a student. I was afraid to post this earlier as I was afraid of the school retaliating for posting something until I passed both of my tests. I will say two of the instructors were great laura and lindi you were awesome. They would take their time with people who needed the help. The place was understaffed, and seen like they couldnt handle all the students. The kits you dont get to youre done with the school and it is stuff that isnt really worth any thing. The shears I got could barely cut manincuns hair. They charge a lot for the text book that you can get for 230$ on Amazon and it comes with the work guide and testing book. There was a even a time I had to stop a student from going after another student and instructors. Police were called multiple times to the school. I really wished I would have gone and did research on other places. If I could add the video of the fight I would but it doesnt look like I can on here.

I love the environment here! The instructors are knowledgeable and caring. You can tell the students are learning and are appreciative of the instructors. It’s an enjoyable atmosphere to be in every time I visit. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking to go to beauty school in the area.

Ive worked at the Academy of Beauty Professionals for about a year and a half now and I am so thankful for the opportunities this job has given me. From the staff to the students, everyone has been a pleasure to work with. There is something to be said about working for a family business - I truly enjoy coming to work every day! The owner and his family have been nothing short of amazing to work with. They have many years of experience in this industry and its been an honor to learn from them. Definitely recommend ABP - whether youre stopping in for services, enrolling as a student, or applying for a job!

The Academy of Beauty Professionals provided me exceptional service. My student was top notch and listened to what I needed. The staff were well educated and you can tell they love teaching.

This place was an absolute joke! They don’t teach there students at all they just sit in a room on there phones what kind of an education is that! I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. I’m convinced they are deleting the bad reviews cause this is the furthest thing from a 5 star school. The owners are shady. They know absolutely nothing about running a business. They lie about things and try and over charge you. DO NOT COME HERE FOR SCHOOL! It is an absolute mess!

Students are talented and friendly; the Instructors are caring, as well as knowledgeable and provide guidance to those they teach. Good prices for services; I highly recommend this school.

What an amazing experience and Academy of Beauty Professionals Appleton! ! I felt so comfortable and happy! I spoke with Dani the Admissions Rep. about achieving my dream of becoming an esthetician and she was so informative and inspiring! Cant wait to further my career and reach my goals!

Impressed by measures to keep you safe

Recieved a mani/pedi. Was told all nail technicians had gone home after pedi had already began. And the lady doing them informed me she didnt like doing nails. They looked worse then if I had done them myself. Had to go somewhere else afterwards to fix it. Will not go back.
