Brought my new vehicle in for routine tire rotation as we have been happy with service provided to our other vehicle. They did a complimentary vehicle inspection with photos as well. Service was prompt and professional and fairly priced. Joe is fabulous to work with.

My 18 year old took her car there for an oil leak. After having the car for a week they called and said it all set. She paid 650.00 for the repairs. Two days later bam same oil leak. Take car back and they charge my daughter another 260 to do nothing but try to figure it out. Now she is out 800 and car not fixed. This is classic case of ripping off people by not standing behind there work. I am disgusted as to how these places operate. DO NOT GO HERE.. THEY RIP OFF PEOPLE.

I have been using Richmond Street Auto for several years now. They are very reasonably priced, honest, and timely.I brought my car in for an oil change and diagnostic. They called me back and sent an email of their finding within a couple hours. I was able to review the findings and quotes for service, select what I wanted to address, and my vehicle was finished the same day. I will continue to use them as my main car repair and maintenance shop in the fox valley. I also recommend them to my friends and family. They are straight forward with no sales bs. It is refreshing to get their quality of service.

I had to pay a full diagnosis fee $60 something, just for them to send me to a dealership because they didn’t have the proper equipment to fix my truck. I understand the time but it took them maybe 30 min for a code read... would be nice to see a little help on price especially when they couldn’t even perform the repair. Other than that, seemed like a nice place. Just make sure you know what you’re going in for prior to save your self time and money in case they can’t end up fixing the issue.

I wanted a quote on new brake lines cost me 60 dollars for a diagnostic to tell me what I already knew. Then told me it was going to be 1000 dollars because he wanted to replace a caliper too. I left their and went to anyone rides wisco on mason and had new brake lines for 592 dollars then did all new brakes for 300 so I spent 900 instead of 1000 and got more work done. Wont be going here ever

I got one problem fixed and they did a great job!!! I asked for air in my tires evenly and now my tire pressure monitoring light is on and stays on. I recommend for fixing your car but maybe not multiple problems.

I am happy to report that they lived up to their promise! Joe was super responsive to anything and everything I asked of him, and the price was super reasonable. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of or upsold. These guys told me about all the issues and never pressured me into doing anything. Excellent service. Brent actually saved me from buying another car. Most important if you have an electrical problem they will be able to figure it out! I cannot stress that enough. I don’t know remember the name of the mechanic who solved it but I can’t thank him enough. They even held the car a second day to make sure it was in good running condition where most garages just replace a part and send you on your way.You can also trust them not to charge you for things you don’t need. From 3 other shops one said I needed an alternator, the other said I had no electrical issues but needed a muffler, and the 3rd said I had an oil leak they couldn’t find so just add Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer to keep it running. (Good thing I didn’t because that just messes up the engine). Nobody would believe me that my engine would just stall at random but Brent at Richmond Street Auto took the time to get to the heart of the issue.If you want real service at an affordable value with mechanics that don’t take you for a ride than take this review to heart and go to Richmond Street Auto.

Found this place after going two other places to get my oil changed and I am so glad the other two places couldnt see me. I was blown away by the high quality, professional service I received here. There was no wait when I arrived and they pulled my car to the back right away. They did the oil change quickly and before they were done they came to let me know the results of the inspection, they let me know what needed to be replaced and did not pressure me to make any replacements right then. They did offer to give me quotes on the tires that I needed to get replaced but again I did not feel pressured to purchase them after giving me the quote. I will definitely make this the place I regularly go to get my car serviced.

My daughters car needed an oil change and when I called my shop to get it in it was going to be a two day wait. Well as I said this was my daughters car so it was already over about 700 miles over from the recommended oil change. Looking on Google I found Richmond Street Automotive, which had 5stars. I called and asked when I could possible get an oil change he asked when I could get it there, I said about a half hour. When I got there I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the waiting area. Well about a half hour later the car was finished. This far exceeded my expectations even though it was only an oil change. Since I took in my 2016 Prius and once again he accommodated my busy schedule. Brent you have earned my business on all my vehicles. Thank you for the great service.

It was really expensive for brake bleed and freeing up caliper slide pins I paid $231 for that and there was one place that said it was $80 for a brake bleed and $25 for freeing up the slide pins so Im kinda upset with how much the bill came to

Met the owner one night while out for dinner and learned he had remodeled and reopened the dump that was Chucks on Richmond. I needed an oil change anyway so I thought I would give them a shot. It is the first place I have gone that explained the differences in the options I had for synthetic oil my truck uses. He also explained the price difference as opposed to sticker shock when I went to pay.The next day I took my wifes car in for an oil change and squeaky brakes. There was an issue with the rear brakes. They didnt try to sell me new brakes on all four wheels, which they really could have and I wouldnt have known the difference. And the price was decent.I will definitely be going back.

They deserve more than 5 stars!! I discovered their shop on my many walks walking past their shop. Prior to my going there, I was taking my car to the dealership that I brought my car from for my oil changes. With the dealerships, they want to change all your fluids at every oil change practically. The last time I was at the dealership, they told me I needed my S belt replaced, a gasket diagnosis becuz my car was leaking fluid around there. So I thought Id get a 2nd opinion and call Richmond Street Automotive. For the small amount of money I paid for them to check my car, they found nothing wrong but the moisture under my gasket was normal seapage from my car having over 100,000 miles on it but theyd keep an eye on it and it was nothing major. Ive been taking my car there ever since to get my oil changed. They take care of stuff that needs to be, not what they think it should be and have save me tons of money if Id have let the dealership fix what didnt need to be fixed.

I took my car in to get a computer diagnostic and an estimate for some engine problem codes. I was told it would cost me 30 to 80 dollars for that. The low end estimate if they found something sooner and the higher end if it was more complicated. Yeah right, it is going to cost 80 bucks anyways. When I got the bill, it was $88, of which four dollars were for shop towels. When we discussed the work to be done, they were not sure that after I put almost $2000 into repairs there, that would not even guaranty that the problem would be fixed. They complained that there were multiple codes coming up and that it was more difficult to fix. Well, wah, wah, wah. They are the people that are supposed to diagnosis and repair cars. All I know for sure was they did not wipe the the grease off my car that they left with the shop towels that I had just bought.The actual problem was diagnosed quickly when I took the car to another shop. It was an $87 ignition coil pack of which I replaced myself. Problem solved.You may want to go somewhere other than Richmond Street Automotive..
