This is my first visit to Appletons Massage Envy. I had a great experience and an even better massage. Shiloh did a fantastic job identifying my trigger points and eliminating all the knots in my back. So pleased I signed up for a package plan right away!

I had the perfect massage by Wayne. He is very good at what he does. Very professional and helped me with my troubled areas! Highly recommend him.

Brittanys style, approach and communication during each massage is spot on. She asks and applies client the feedback before and during the massage. Her pressure, flow and methods have helped us heal, relax and feel so much better after seeing her. Most of our family comes to her now. Thank you Brittany!!

Wayne did an amazing job with my 90min massage session. He is always very good at communicating and always gets all the sore spots worked out. Cannot say enough praise for Wayne. Massage Envy is a wonderful, professional, and respectful health care facility. I have seen multiple therapists but as of the last few years I request one therapist, Wayne, who works well with me, and focussing on my areas of pain. He is very knowledgeable and knows how to find those darn elusive trigger points that cause so much discomfort. He is a genuinely nice person who cares. The staff is always nice

Dominique is a miracle worker, she has improved the quality of my life dramatically. Wayne is very knowledgeable and is amazing especially if you suffer from headaches. I’ve had pretty good experiences with the massage therapists, however, my issue is with availability and scheduling. Every time I’ve called to make an appointment in the past year (at least) I’ve been told it would be anywhere between two and five weeks or more to see someone. Every. Single. Time. I just called tonight and asked for the first available and the soonest I can get in is November 30th at 5:00 pm. That’s almost three weeks away and also happens to be my son’s birthday, so ditching his birthday dinner is obviously not going to work. The next appointment? December 10th at 9:00 am. Um, I have a job and that’s a Tuesday. Not to mention the last two massages I was able to schedule - in June and July - I had to schedule in Green Bay (at their suggestion) because the wait in Appleton was so long. So if you’re someone who lives with chronic pain and / or can’t wait weeks or months for some relief, I suggest you search elsewhere.

I had Danielle (I believe that was her name) for a facial and it was the best facial I’ve ever had! She listened to all my concerns and what I wanted out of the facial. She was sooo gentle with my face as I told her I have very sensitive skin. This is the first facial I’ve ever gotten where I wasn’t red for hours after. I have some troubled areas which she was great at addressing too! I would 100% recommend her for any facial service. She also has an amazing personality and is one of the nicest people to talk to.

Great massage therapists!!! We have been going to massage envy for many years and always enjoy a great massage. We usually get our regular therapists- my favorite is Laura and Brad and my husbands fav is Lindsay and Dominique. They have a very friendly staff at the front desk that is always willing to help. They offer many different styles of massage and they are open late. Check it out !!

Very disappointed. The massage therapists are nice & professional so this is not towards them. It is to the company. My yearly membership will be up next month. I asked the receptionist if it would be cancelled since the year is up. She said, why would you like to cancel? I told her that my membership is up and I wish not to renew it. She then told me that she would be able to pause it for 6months and why I was interested in cancelling. Again I told her that I wish not to renew it and its financial reasons. Told me that I would have to fill out a form and then have it cancelled. I was NOT told this when I signed up. Was told that it was for a year and that I could CHOOSE to renew at the end of my membership. I am very, very upset. Feel like once they have you. They have you trapped. I am very unhappy with Massage Envy. I will be calling asking to speak to a manager & will never return. Luckily I have ONE more massage left.Update: Wish I could give them negative stars. I am even more upset. I checked my statements and notice that even though I cancelled my membership, TWO WITHDRAWALS were made! I had to call them again and go through the struggle of getting my money refunded. The only explanation they had was it was a glitch with their computer systems and they would have to look into getting my money refunded. I am disappointed with Massage Envy and hope they go out of business.

My review is in response to Gigi. If you listened during the intake process they do tell you that an hour booked session is 50 minutes of hands on time, leaving 5 min up front for consultation then undressing, and 5 min at the end for redressing and recommendations. So your 45 is truly 50. As for the pitch being scam-y as you put it. I have been a member for 4 years now, they reason it felt that way to you is the fact that you must have been hearing it that way. I myself have a wonderful rate from 2009 and have been using my massages monthly. I paid no fee up-front, and pay a ridiculously cheap amount for any extra massages beyond my one free one a month.I am sorry you feel that way. I, myself, have had my bad experiences with Therapists as well as front desk people, but that goes for any business, you will not like every Therapist and you will not like every customer service person you meet. I hope you do reconsider going back to the Massage Envy and try a different Therapist, be specific during your call as to what you are looking for and they will match you up better hopefully. They prices are too good to let one ok not even bad experience ruin your thoughts on a place and possibly of others who might not come in do to your thoughts and may have truly enjoyed it.I appreciate your opinion, and I am not saying you are wrong, but maybe try my suggestions for a different therapist and see how you like it before you make your final decision on the place.Best Regards,Allen

Nicole did and AMAZING JOB! Amazing staff and super relaxing!!! The therapists are very attentive to their clients needs and the front desk associates are an absolute delight. Every time I leave, I always feel refreshed and ready to start my day!

Worse company model for subscribers. They bill you monthly if you can get in to use the pre paid service or not. When contract expires they automatically renew the contract without notifying you. If you cancel services (account) you get 60 days to use the remainder of your balance. I suggest that if you have a busy life like I have and have to schedule stuff within a week because you don’t know what the following week or further out looks, to go somewhere else. They don’t care about the client, only the money they bring to them.

For mothers day my daughter gave me a one hour massage and a one hour facial. I had never had a facial before so I was excited about that. It was great and I never even had to switch rooms! They have the therapist give you the massage and then the aesthetician comes in for the facial. I LOVED the steamer for your face! Such a wonderful gift!

This rating does not concern the therapists. I have nothing but good things to say about them.I went to cancel my membership because I have no time to go monthly to make it worth the money that is pulled. They have very few openings when I need to get in. Upon cancelling, they gave me some standard line about it taking 10 days to process the request. I said I did not give authorization to pull this months membership from the account since I signed the cancellation prior to the pull date. They informed me it will still be taken out. I let them know that I was calling the bank to stop any draft from Massage Envy, which they responded that they will have my account marked past due if I did that. After dealing with a very rude customer relations representative, I asked for someone else, and was given the number for their survey service. Unacceptable customer service.

Massage was just fine. Enjoyable while it lasted. But the pain and muscle tension were not relieved afterward which was the reason I went in the first place. I was told it was going to be a 90 minute massage. I got 55 minutes - then upon checkout was told a $20 tip was standard. And the next time the price would almost double as this was an introductory rate! Paid $60 and they said next time would be $110 plus tip. Unbelievable.Will certainly NOT be back!

In general the therapists are very professional and do a great job. A couple members of the front counter staff can be a little less than professional, but the rest of the staff are great to work with!

Highly dissatisfied. Asked for full body deep tissue and received only on my calves and partial left side of back. Husband bought me a $100 giftcard for my birthday and received 2 free enhancements that were part of a special in December. My overall service was very rushed and even the masseuse commented service was rushed and 60 minutes was not enough time to accommodate enhancements. During my service as I lay on the table the door was opened to the hallway with my upper half exposed which was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Halfway through the service, the masseuse left the room for a few minutes and these minutes were never added back to my 60 minute time. Ive gone to non-chain businesses and received superior service. I dont recommend this place and feel it was a waste of $100.

My masseuse was great, the prices are reasonable, however my claim needed notes on my invoice, Ive asked for notes, no reply, no notes. Its been a month, I will take my business elsewhere going forward.

I get massages covered by my flex spending account but the administrator of the flex spending is just a pain. They always need receipts with specific information and the receptionists at Massage Envy are always more than helpful and go out of their way to get me what I need.This business definitely caters more towards regular members and the costs for a massage as a member are very reasonable but for one-off visits, they are a bit pricey.While I feel some of the add on services are a bit gimmicky ($10 for an application of BioFreeze) the massage itself is excellent. I did try a few therapists before I found Brad and he is by far the best one there. He listened to me and addressed my problem areas using different techniques to address them.

Massage Envy is like the Supercuts of massage studios. Of the past few appointments I had, each therapist seemed very inexperienced, and the sessions not very relaxing. I felt like I needed a massage afterwards to relax from the massage I had just gotten.

So much enjoy the services. Wish the 1hr massage lasted longer than 45min though.

If I could rate by letters, Massage Envy would rate about a C-. I went to this location to use a gift card and Im reasonably certain that I wont be back. I had both a massage and a facial. The massage therapist was nice, but didnt seem to know much more than one particular technique. I didnt talk much, as I was very tired, and she seemed OK with that. I paid for an hour massage, but my guess is that this massage was MAYBE 45 minutes, if that. I specified a couple of problem areas, which the therapist completely ignored. Ive had many, MANY massages and had never been that sore the day after as I was with this massage. Likewise, the facial was adequate, but not much more. The aesthetician was very young, which isnt much of a problem, except that I felt as if I was breaking in the new grads! Her analysis of my skin and her recommendations were very basic and didnt indicate any sort of knowledge or expertise. Again, I believe Id paid for an hour session, and at best, this facial was roughly 45 minutes. When I was finished, the real fun began. The receptionist tried her best to get me to purchase a membership. I have to admit I thought of it for about 10 seconds, but honestly, the whole pitch felt scam-y to me. Each time I refused, there were always new ways to save money, more fees that would be waived today only. I felt as if I was being rushed and forced to buy, which is the exact way to get me NOT to buy!Were very lucky in the Fox Valley. There are many spas and health-type service providers. Most are locally owned and community supporters, and very transparent and honest. I did not get that feeling from Massage Envy. The staff was very quick to tell me that they were expanding (2 more locations in the Fox Valley, 1 in Green Bay), which I guess was meant to be impressive. I only felt like I was being herded along. So, bottom line? I wont be back to this location and I wouldnt recommend the place to my friends or family. Im not comfortable with a business that seems eager to take advantage, which is what I felt here.

Wonderful experience! I am 37 weeks pregnant and my husband got a massage for me for one of my birthday gifts. I have never had one before and this was a great first experience. 1. Staff was professional and friendly upon entering the establishment. Danielle was very helpful halping me comfortable and also explaining how the whole thing works. 2. They immediately wanted to know how they could customize the massage for me. 3. The masseuse, Lynsey (sp?), was delightful and also so helpful. The massage was relaxing and comfortable and I felt like a million dollars afterwards. Overall, fantastic experience and will definitely go back after baby arrives and we get a schedule going.

Way over priced. Not worthy the $180.00 we paid. Sunflower massage is cheaper and better service.

I can never get in for a facial. I called today and the first opening they have is July 25th. I have at least 5 sessions that I have paid for and if I quit I am out those $60 apiece sessions that I already paid for. I have been a member for years! This is unacceptable and utterly ridiculous!
