I heard about Alterations by Tess from the many positive reviews from other local brides. Tess lives up to her excellent reputation for being top-notch! She and her staff are so warm and kind, and they instantly put you at ease during what can be a stressful time. She worked wonders on my dress and made it fit like a glove. Im so grateful for her work and would highly recommend her to any bride looking for dress alterations!

She is great to communicate and coordinate with, she has easy scheduling and timing of fittings to make sure everything turns out perfect. Tess is incredible. She is so flexible and patient and willing to tweak every little detail to make sure you love the clothing youre walking away with.She listens to your wishes, but also has years of experience to let you know what will look good and what will not. She is warm and kind and her store is so inviting, sometimes its difficult to leave.I had Tess alter and hem my wedding dress and came in 4-5 times to have little adjustments made. Each time, she was careful to make notes on what we discussed we would change. I will be going back to her again.

I bought a beautiful dress for my wedding, from China. It was nothing like fitting was described. In short order, I was able to meet with Tess, do the correct alterations, and have a lovely dress, for a modest tailoring fee. I always check with Tess re other tailoring needs, too, as she can do some of that as her schedule permits. Very satisfied customer!

I brought in my wedding dress to Tess for alterations & adding some lace. Tess was incredibly sweet and patient with me. I wanted quite a few changes done to my dress (changed the skirt style, length & added lace to the top of my dress), and she politely accommodated all that I wanted. It took quite a few visits (very understandable!) and I had to be assertive with what I wanted but am overall very happy. I would recommend her to anyone in the area and I thought pricing was very reasonable. Thanks Tess and her team!

I brought Tess a bridesmaid dress and wedding dress this spring. She has done a fantastic job with the alterations so far and has come up with some creative ideas to solve the problems with how my dress fits. Everything she has done looks like it was meant to be that way. She is so personable and sweet and has been willing to work with me and my strict work schedule to try and make sure she has time for me. We have chatted while she was fitting me and I found out that she has been in this business for almost her entire life. Even her employees are all are wonderful! Very attentive service with the alterations on my dress for my daughters wedding.

Poor service. I dropped my dress off on March 14th and and was told it would be done on May 2nd. Due to covid-19 the pick up date was delayed. I called on May 12th and was told it still had a weeks worth of work left on it. I called on the 19th and was told it would be done by the end of the week but I needed it for the 23rd. I was finally called on the 21st that it was ready. I didnt ever once get an apology for the lack of communication. I had already paid for the services and did not get a partial refund for the delay. When I put my dress on for the event it seemed like they only did half the work. Will never reccomend themUpdate: I received a message from danielle at weddings by tess. I explained the situation and was told they would send me a check for everything that was not completed. That was a month ago and they never sent me anything. I reached out to them this week and have yet to hear a response. No surprise.

I went to 9 bridal shop before I went to Tess. No one was as kind, helpful, straightforward, and funny as Tess was. I didnt end up getting my dress from her, but I really wanted to because she was so wonderful! Offered to give me a good discount, and said she could do all of the alterations for a reasonable price (plus she has nearly 40 years of experience!). She exuberantly said several times how much she loves what she does - and it is obvious she does love it! I highly recommend searching for a dress at her store - I dont think you will find better, more genuine customer service anywhere else.

Tess is incredible. I am extremely petite so I was intimidated by all the alterations that may have to happen with my wedding dress. She made it so easy and completely transformed a dress that i liked, into a dress that i adored and felt so much like me!!!! Definitely recommend her, she makes a stressful time fun:)

I went to get a few simple measurements for my friends wedding. First of all it cost $10 and, okay, whatever, but you can totally do this at home, but thats my bad. The employee was kind, but she didnt measure me correctly and when I asked if I should get my height measured (for a floor length gown) she said I probably didnt need it. She tried to use my measurements to tell me a size and said I landed somewhere in between a 4 and a 10! Well thats quite an array. Well, turns out I did need my height measurement, and I went back in and she quickly measured my height which was nice. When I got home I remeasured and found out she was off on one of my measurements by 2.5 inches! Once I corrected my measurements my size was clear. It was just a bummer to pay $10 and end up doing the work myself really. I guess I would just recommend doing it yourself.

I took a bridesmaid dress to get altered here as I had heard they were good. Before taking my dress in I called for a quote, they told me roughly $40. After dropping my dress off for nearly 4-5 weeks I finally called them because the wedding was fast approaching, only to find my dress had been done for weeks and yet no one called me. I went in for a final fitting and it was STILL too big, and as I showed the alterations lady she told me the dress was supposed to lay that way, which might I add, the side of my bra was showing on both sides of the dress. I ended up taking the dress home that day very unstatisfied and frustrated that it had cost me $90! And still didnt fit. I ended up getting the dress altered by a family friend the day before the wedding. I dont recommend getting alterations done here they were not professional about it nor did they keep their word on the price quote given. Not a happy experience.

Tess is so amazingly comforting, she makes everything so much fun, and so easy! From friendliness of the staff, and attention to detail, and addressing any concerns immediately. I give this wonderful woman a 10 star if possible!

If I could give a zero I would!! Run from this place!!! I bought a dress at 5pm. I called and sent them an email the next morning to ask if I could return it as my mother gave me her wedding dress. They NEVER called or wrote back even after repeated attempts!update.... after a week of calling and emailing I finally got ahold of a person.... she laughed and said all sales are final unless you talk to the owner Tess. I asked to talk to Tess and then she said.... Sorry she is always unavailable.... WHAT??? after this treatment I filed a complaint to the better business bureau which by the why, this company is not accredited so they dont have to respond or refund... again... run from this business!!!! I will be telling everyone I can so they dont experience the same treatment as I did...

Tess has made my wedding dress shopping experience wonderful and took note of all my needs of what I was looking for in a dress. With her years of experience and knowledge she knew exactly how to peice my look together with the perfect dress and a veil I never would have picked out and it was stunning.Tess wears her heart on her sleeve and she is so creative with ideas. I have had horrible luck with this shop! Tess was amazing to work with (the one time I saw her...) I have been in numerous times since and have only seen one employee (who was incredibly rude!) I am a bridesmaid for a wedding in October. All of the bridesmaids from the wedding ordered dresses in January. We called numerous times asking about our dresses and they had no recollection of our order. I drove up in July to see what was going on, and they had the dresses just sitting there. No one called to say hey, we have them in. When I got there, the dresses were all wrong. They were supposed to be knee length, but were floor length. The employee that had taken our orders when we initially went in blamed it on us for her mistake of writing the wrong dress style number down. We were given a free hem for the mistake. I took my dress in to get hemmed in August, and its almost the end of September and they still havent finished it. I was highly unsatisfied with this location and wish I couldve spoken to the owner to state my case on the communication issues, but she was never in to answer calls or there when I stopped by.

I was hesitant bringing my bridesmaids dress here to get altered but since it only needed to get hemmed I wasnt too concerned. When the big day arrived I put the dress on and noticed halfway through the day a string at the bottom of my dress. That string was my hem coming undone. How does a hem come undone? Very disappointed with the amount of money I paid and received very cheap quality.

She altered a bridesmaid dress flawlessly in a pinch for me! Will be going back.

I was really nervous to get my bridesmaid dress done by anyone. I am new with taking my clothes to get them altered. I called and asked if she could get a bridesmad dress altered for me when the wedding was barely over a week away and she said it wasnt a problem and to come in now, even though she said she had to run home she waited for me to get there. I got there and she was super quick/sweet and I was in and out. I forgot that I had an appt with her the following wednesday at 1pm to get my dress and I showed up at 11 (before work at noon) to see if I could try it on. Her employee said she wasnt there, and she had my dress. I got a bit nervous, but she called Tess and it was done and she rushed it over within 15 minutes and had me try it on and it fit like a glove! She went far beyond what I had asked for, But had to finish a few things up on it. I told her I wasnt able to swing back before having to leave out of town. Her employee said it wasnt a problem, asked me where I worked and then dropped it off for me!!! I know this post is long, but I am just so happy I went to her and will come back in the future!

Visited their new location next to Warners - big selection of bridal and bridesmaid dresses at affordable prices, and the staff is very helpful.

Great experience with Tess on multiple occasions!
