I am happy to report that the new CV joints that CFAR installed on my 2004 VW Passat not only stopped the clicking noise (as expected), also significantly reduced the steering wheel/cabin vibration issue (as hoped for as some people on VW Passat forums also reported this). The OEM CV joint supposedly had hollow shafts to help reduce vibrations. This will be that last ones that I will need on this vehicle but I highly recommend the manufacture of the ones I now have for other customers. Thanks for getting high quality parts!

Either incompetent, lazy, or unwilling to help.Brought my car in through insurance to diagnose a check engine light. It was on when I dropped it off, it was on when I picked it up, and yet somehow in the four days they had the car....they had no check engine light, and no code.Brian is a joke. Central Florida Auto Repair fixed my truck after I had taken it to my usual shop. The shop I used to take it to just threw parts at it and never diagnosed the issue costing me 2 weeks of work and putting parts on I didnt need. I had to call a tow truck 3 times and have it sent BACK to the shop that did the original repair just to break down again 3 days later. This shop found the problem and FIXED it right the first time because they took the time to diagnose the issue.. Thank you so much!

Outstanding service on my wifes 2006 Toyota Highlander. Started off by fitting a replacement engine which turned out to have the same problem as our original engine! so they rebuilt it so that it was 100%. Then we had a misfire which they then corrected, All at No extra charge covered by their warranty! Brian and his father are super professional and we will only use these people in the future.

My family and I have being using CFA for years and have always had great service at fair prices. This week, however, I saw a side of Frank that has made me a customer for life. My 18 year old son was in an accident, which my 77year old mother witnessed. My husband and I were out of town so I called Frank regarding a tow question. He kicked into high gear, called in a favor with the tow company to save me money, had the car delivered to him so he could help me salvage the car AND he gave my mom a ride home. I had my 1993 Blazers transmission fixed by a shop in West Palm Beach for over $4000. I pick up the truck after being fixed and drove to Zellwood. The whole trip the truck transmission was not right. Upon suggestions from my new neighbors, I took the truck to Central Florida Auto Repair. I was told the transmission needed to be rebuilt. The shop in West Palm Beach did not fix the transmission and charged me $4000. Central Florida Auto Repair not only fixed my transmission, but greatly assisted me in disputing the West Palm Beach charge for their repair. I got my money back and my transmission expertly repaired. Thanks Frank.

Took my car in because it needed the water pump replaced. 566$ later they call me back to tell me I have a blown head gasket. Husband picked up the vehicle and now the check engine lights blinking and car is shaking. My vehicle was not like that when it was dropped off. I took my vehicle to this shop because of the good reviews. Very disappointed and I don’t recommend anyone to take their vehicle here.

After receiving a choking $2300 repair estimate from Firestone, I decided to visit Brian at CENTRAL FLORIDA AUTO REPAIR. He was immediately attentive to my situation. Before reviewing the paperwork from Firestone, my car was on the rack getting inspected. He estimated the job at less than half of what I had been quoted. He also advised me that the repair might cost a little more. I liked Brians professional approach but he got the job because I felt he was genuine. My car took at little longer and cost a little more than originally quoted but I ended up a happy camper. It was then that I presented, the quote from Firestone. Brian smiled but remained professional and said nothing else. I later found out from others that had been duped that the compensation of a Manager at Firestone is partially commission based. Hmmm

I took my 2009 Ford Flex to Central Florida repair after several attempts from otheR repair shops, 2 Ford Dealers another local auto shop and not one of them could figure out the vibration in my Ford. I was told I needed struts did that, throttle body did that and many other repairs. Over several years and driving thousands a models and the car only getting worse, we were ready to trade it in. After reading other reviews I found Brian at Central Florida Auto Repair. His customer service and willing to listen and drive the car with me allowed him to come to the conclusion the Trans Mount and motor mounts were destroyed and the engine was sitting 2+ inches lower. Thanks to Brian and his team my car drives like new again with only 97,000 mile its like was the day I bought it new. We took the car to Brian again to have brakes done as well because the previous shop ground down my left front rotor while attempting to fix vibration. So go nowhere else CENTRAL FLORIDA AUTO REPAIR is the BEST!!! THANK YOU!

I recently took my poor Honda Odyssey to CFAR for a terrible oil leak. The problem that I suspected, was not the problem at all. Brian was the tech assigned to look at the vehicle. With his thoroughness he discovered 3 sources of the leak. When I returned to talk to him, he outlined the problems in plain english and offered his suggestions as to what was serious and what was not so much. We settled on repairing all the things he showed us. He had to order a new part that was not available locally, so it took a couple of days to finish the repairs. He was wonderful about keeping in touch with us about the progress of the repairs. Any questions were answered in an understandable fashion. This place will be my new go-to place for auto work. I went there based on online reviews and I was not disappointed at all. They live up to the hype. The vehicle runs better that it has in ages and I thank Central Florida Auto for their great work.

Two words- Dont use! This man is NOT what he says he is. He did NOT get to the end or bottom of the issue on my car. Frank said it was one or the other. Well, he had plenty of time to determine which one. Seems he got lazy!! Also the parts he billed were priced WAY over what a normal and fair markup is!! One small part was billed at 300 percent over cost!!!Go elsewhere for car repairs. This owner is not what he says he is and not honest!! He will rip you off on parts charges, labor or quality of work.Frank did not complete the work on my car and overcharged me on parts and labor. And Frank DID NOT follow the service manual diagnoses steps in correct order!!! Those master tech certificates he throws in front of you are not a good indicator of how he works!!!Plenty of other good , honest auto repair shops in town better and fairer than Frank. Use your head and take your car to someone else in town.Week or two later while at an auto repair garage up the road on OBT the owner ( real good genuine man) told me Frank had him build a part for him. This owner only told me he will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FRANK AGAIN! Also had nothing positive to say about Frank.Folks, fellas, ladies take your cars to other shops and keep some of your hard earned $$ in your pocket. Frank is a rip off!!Ok Frank, you misread this - You paid a shop up the road for a repair some time ago. I was talking to the owner about an issue (had no work done) when your shop was mentioned. Owner said he will never ever! do business with you again for many reasons. Some same as my experience with you. Thats pretty strong Id say.The facts: Your repair for me was not done in correct procedure, you overcharged me 300% on a part! (how greedy). I bought a battery from AutoZone and after two weeks it was dying. I took it back to AutoZone where they informed me my alternator was failing. I made an appointment here only to find nothing was wrong with my alternator at all. I cant remember his name, but the mechanic on duty showed me how easy it is to get a false reading with those tests and assured me my alternator was 100% fine. 1 month later and its still good.

After having my car sit at this other shop for over 32 days and nothing got resolved, I went on the web to search for a reliable shop to do a electrical diagnostic check on my Cadillac dts,the shop the came up was CENTRAL FLORIDA AUTO REPAIR. .. THEY had so many good customer reviews in the community and surrounding areas,i spoke with frank and he said he can handle it, after a couple of days there, they could find nothing wrong, I had recently put on a new throttle body, and I probably did not reset it properly, but frank and his staff checked all the old codes and found nothing,he told me that the electrical components probably had to learn each other...PROBLEM SOVED!!!! AND GUESS WHAT..FOLKS HE DIDNT CHARGE ME A DIME MORE ,HE ONLY CHARGE ME FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC CHECK,,, FRANK AND HIS STAFF ARE GOOD HONEST PEOPLE,,I WILL ALWAYS TAKE MY CARS HERE,AND I WILL ALWAYS TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS PLACE FOR HIS HONESTY AND QUALITY SERVICE...KUDOS TO FRANK AND HIS CREW.....THANKS AGAIN FRANK...

Excellent folks to work with! We were in the Apopka area from about 90 miles away purchasing a used passenger van. We wanted an independent mechanic to look it over for us before we finalized the deal. Frank and his employees spent over an hour looking at the vehicle from roof to tires. He also went as far as checking the Car Fax and the book value of the vehicle for us. Extremely thorough pre-purchase inspection! If we lived in the area, he would certainly be our go to for all our mechanical work.

The team at this shop are top rate. Frank and Brian helped me build my dream hot rod and have kept many of my other cars in top shape over the years. Its super hard to find a good, turstworthy mechanic these days but these guys are the real deal.

They also did not surprise me with unexpected costs; they were very honest. They kept me informed, and they finished it before they said they would.

Beware of this mechanic. The father and son duo appear to be honest mechanics, but they are not. I had a transmission problem, but the son misdiagnosed the problem. The son told be that the transmission was not slipping into gear because it needed transmission mounts. I got a second opinion and it really turned out to be a transmission problem. This auto repair shop will misdiagnose the problem and fix something that does not need repairing. Their rates arent too cheap either, because he charges the same amount whether he fixes a piece of junk to upscaled automobiles. Dont get chumped by this auto mechanic.

Just an oil change, lube etc, but as usual was very complete and clean. I ONLY use CFAR for all my maintenance and repair.
