I stopped in and asked to sit on a diversion on the way to Kissimmee. The front desk lady was so nice as well as the 3 instructors, I only remember the Anna name. They have a very nice setup and some nice small planes to fly. If youre in the area looking to learn how to fly stop in there and check them out!

I had such an incredible time at this facility. The customer service was amazing and the training was out of this world. My instructor bread was well knowledged and gave me a great time. highly recommend

We signed up to do the private pilot program, not the accelerated course. Doing it this way, they have very little in the way of consistent lessons. They also may not give you a main flight instructor until you are well into your time there (even then they changed ours often, leading to inconsistent feedback).The private pilot package pricing listed on the site is misleading as well. It gives break downs of what youll get for the price, however, besides the books you dont actually get those things. They basically just take your money and then use it at their discretion, not giving you exactly 40 hours of rental/25 hours of flight instruction.On top of that, they can be really hard to contact. Tried for weeks at one point to contact with no answer or calls back. During that stretch, one day I called 14 times and received no contact at all. Now, on to the planes. The warrior class planes are constantly needing repair, and with little to no notice. You have no idea if youll be able to do a lesson until you are on site. I cant speak to the accelerated program, but do not go here for regular private pilot lessons.

I completed my PPL at First Landings Aviation. I enjoyed my time and experience there. First Landing has the most dedicated, knowledgeable, hard-working instructors. They are there to help you become better pilots every day. If you need any help or questions, they will be there to help you. Their aircraft are well maintained. Their staff are very friendly and helpful. I appreciate First Landings Aviation for getting me one step closer to fulfilling my dreams of becoming an airline pilot. I recommend this flight school to anyone who want to get started in their flight training.

First Landings Aviation is a hidden gem for training eager student pilots in Central Florida. The staff is amazingly dedicated to teaching all about aviation but with a great emphasis on safety and common sense.The instructors are all very young but extremely knowledgeable about flying. They are constantly busy at taking care of the students but every one of them is not bothered if they are approached to clarify something. Teaching is the passion of some folks I have met there like Adam Dagan (instructor extraordinaire), Dan Connolly, Alex Cox and Cody Baba.The front desk is attended by Lisa Kuykendall, one of the nicest and resourceful persons I have ever met in my life. The ground school portion (during COVID times) was done online by David Cohen, a retired USAF Colonel who is a well of knowledge in aviation. The school itself has a great potential to become a referral center for training not only US but also international pilots. I do not doubt it will grow in the future. The airplane fleet: the light sports are very up to date and almost new. The training 4-seaters may definitely use an upgrade but are reliable planes that are rarely grounded. The only times I had any issues with my training was in those FL afternoons when it rains every day but the school has no control over weather.If you are interested in learning how to fly in an affordable way, I recommend joining the Bravo Busters Club. The savings from joining the club alone make total sense for the training period but also after you graduate from your check ride. If you want to check out the school, get a Discovery Flight and see how it feels to fly with them. First Landings is an excellent place to train in Central Florida.

Purchased a discovery flight for a Cape Canaveral flight on Groupon. Incredible experience. Braden was my pilot and instructor. It was top notch instruction and made me feel very comfortable about piloting the plane. (Yes you get to fly the plane if you want) Would highly recommend purchasing this experience.

I recently completed my Private Pilot certificate with these guys in one of their light sport aircraft. I had the chance to do most of my training in the newer Tecnam Eaglet N615TA, what an incredible machine with all the latest in avionics! I also had the opportunity to fly the other eaglet they have and while a few years older is still nicely equipped with glass displays.The equipment is modern and very well maintained. They have a full time maintenance personnel on staff and if I had any questions regarding the aircraft he could answer them right away.I started my training many years ago and went to several different schools before I found First Landings. They really made the difference in my training, they helped to guide me through the curriculum and made sure I understood what I need to know to be a safe pilot. I had a chance to fly with all the instructors and while they all have different methods of teaching their number one objective was creating a safe environment and having fun.If you are looking for a fun, relaxed place to learn to fly these are the guys. They treat you like family, many days while I was there both former and current students were just hanging out chatting it was a community of people all with a common interest. One afternoon a student even bought pizza for everyone, thanks again (you know who you are)!I plan to continue renting and will get checked out in their Piper Cherokee that they have. I may even start working on my instrument rating.I encourage anyone looking to learn to fly to check these guys out. Not only can they beat nearly all the competition on price they also can beat them all on service!

Five stars across the board. When I first started at First Landings the price was the first reason. It was affordable to get my pilot license. Once I started to train, I realized the quality of the training I was receiving was very high. Everyone that works there has been very helpful all the way through getting my license. No matter what your level of training is they will see it through. In addition they are also very safe. They follow all the guidelines when it comes to the FAA. For anyone looking to get a pilot license I suggest trying First Landings out. *****

Booked a discovery flight as a birthday present. Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel the appointment. I cancelled about 2 weeks before the appointment date. I was told that they dont electronically refund money (but they will take it) and that I had to come to their office to get a refund. Since its a good drive for me, I asked if they could mail me a check. They said yes and took my information. I waited for just over a month and nothing came in the mail, so I called them and was told Id get a call back from Jose, the office manager, each time. Each time, no callback. Eventually they told me he was on vacation for several weeks and would return at the end of October. After the date they claimed, I still couldnt get a hold of them and had to pursue a charge back with my credit card company. After another 1.5 months, I managed to get the credit back to my card with the company stating they received no information from First Landings.Ill definitely be actively telling people to avoid this company and their business practices are highly suspect.Do NOT give them any money up front at all.

I will try and not repeat what has already been said here but I can tell you from my own experience that First Landings is one of the top aviation training schools you will find. I found it beautiful, modern, super clean and well organized. My instructor Andrew is not only a great CFI but a great guy as well and we became friends. Its just a great place to learn how to fly!

I went there hoping to get my sport pilots license. I had been warned by some pilot friends that their staff was indifferent to the point of being rude. I thought I would give them a try and drove over an hour to get there. The warning was correct. I wandered around their nice facility for about five minutes before a guy slouching on a couch asked me if I wanted something. I asked if he worked there. He said yes. I asked if this was how they greeted customers. He said, pretty much and made no effort to get up, introduce himself or find out why I was there. Apparently, as I was walking in, the owner had passed me going out. He never bothered to greet me either.Why anyone would work with a company with such indifferent attitudes to customers is beyond me.

Just got my sport pilots license at First Landings. What a top-notch flight school! The experience was very well managed from beginning to end and I went from zero to solo in a week! Had license after 12 days, and it was only that long because of a few weather delays. In Orlando, theres not a better option for flight training. This school is very close to their practice area, so flying to a place to practice isnt a worry. Theyre also at an uncontrolled airport, so you dont have to worry about taxing around for a long time and waiting to take off.One of the best values for the money, with knowledagble instructors and a friendly office staff.

Super place! I took my 11yr old there for a flight and he loved it. The instructor, Chris, was extremely helpful and professional. The location was easy to find, its the 1st building driving up to the hangars, and the location convenient from Orlando. The plane was modern and the whole experience super enjoyable.

These guys are a class act. Etian is an amazing instructor and the entire staff will go out of their way to make sure you learn all you need to learn to be safe and proficient in the skies. I became interested in becoming a sport pilot and began with another school in Orlando prior to switching to First Landings. This was the time that I really began to enjoy learning to fly. Everyone was very friendly and always very kind. I was given the flexibility to schedule my own lessons and chose the instructor that I wanted to fly with. I completed my check ride in December 2013 and remain a loyal customer at First Landings. I average renting an airplane at least once or twice a week--sometimes more and even still fly with my instructor from time to time for fun. If you are looking for a professional flight school that lets you control the pace, lets you pick when and who you want to fly with , and what type of airplane you want to fly, this is the place for you. My only regret in my learning experience is that I wasted my time and money not starting with First Landings from the beginning. I highly recommend.

I did my flight training here 2 years ago, and continue to rent aircraft from them on a regular basis. The staff is laid back and the instructors are great! I love being able to walk in at my scheduled time, say hi, grab the keys to a airplane and go!

Went here to get my PPL. Seems like a lot of their business is for Sport Pilot, but they made it easy, and the staff was knowledgeable. The lessons and everything were cheap in comparison to the alternatives in the area. One issue I had with these guys is a serious lack of professionalism. Its a little off putting to see these guys lounging on the couch with their feet up and seeing them not get up to greet someone, especially when theyre paying thousands/tens of thousands of dollars for training. Other than that everything went okay and I had a lot of fun. Thanks!

I received my private pilots license from First Landings. They were professional, accommodating, and engaged through all phases of my flight training. My flight instructor was Devon Kroener and I couldnt have asked for a better flight instructor to help me achieve all of my goals.With that said, I learned something from ALL of the instructors there as they share ideas and concepts to make you a better pilot. They are safe and very, VERY knowledgeable! More importantly, they each take a personal investment in your success as a student, all the while letting you know that this is just the beginning of so much more that is possible once you achieve your license!I received my flight instruction in the Piper Cherokee (my choice, of course) but all of the planes are kept in great shape!The owner, Adam, makes sure that his Flight Instructors have all of the resources to help their students. I knew right away that i wanted to continue my flight training and that first landings was the place to be. everyone at first landings is very nice and professional. The flight instruction and ground school that i have been taking 2-3 times a weeks have been an amazing experince and I highly recommend first landings to anybody interested in learning how to fly.

As I am from Switzerland, I took the Accelerated Sport Pilot Program and finished training in about 15 Days. Andrew Barton was a great instructor, who not only teached me how to fly, but also become a good friend. Also everyone at first landings is very nice and professional. First landings aviation is a great Flight school! Instructors are very helpful, there are quite a few different planes you can fly, and it is easy to schedule flights, i highly recommend it it!

After a 15 year hiatus from flight training I decided it was time to wrap getting a pilot certificate. At first I thought I would shoot for a sport pilot ticket since I already had 20 hours flight time but after a couple of flights I decided I wanted to pick up my private certificate. Flying is like riding a bike, and after just a few months with flying a few times a week I now have my private pilot certificate in hand thanks to First Landings and my instructor Jim Shoemaker. Looking forward to obtaining my IFR certificate with my continued training at FLA.

After a long research on whether to pursue my flight career, and after many years of trying, money was always an obstacle, however after a discovery flight I bought from Groupon, and talking to the instructor who fly me in Ticnam bravo 2004, I found that this school have all the best criteria for learning.the staff are wonderful friendly the school is away from airport traffic, the price are affordable, also they work on my schedule, I see many people there so happy for the training they provide. truly I recommend this great school for anybody whos looking to take his training, its definitely worth the time and the money.

I highly recommend First Landings to anyone who wants to learn how to fly light sport aircraft. The aircraft are in great shape, lovingly maintained and all CFIs are extremely helpful. Their goal is to teach you fundamentals of flight and gain a high level of confidence practicing everything. The guys were very good with their positive feedback to improve my skills. They do everything they can to get you up in the air as much as possible. They are great with being flexible about scheduling hops to fit your calendar. I looked at many other flights school and put alot of thought into which school I would go with and after all of the research and thought, I chose First Landings Aviation. The first thing that sold me on this flight school was the diversity of their aircraft. They have a multitude of aircraft you can choose to fly in. Most other flight schools only have a Cessna 152, whereas this school has 152s as well as many other aircraft including Light Sport Aircraft. All of the instructors are friendly and helpful and will gladly answer any questions you have, whether they are your instructor or not. They allow you to set your own schedule and go at your own pace and the instructors availability is amazing. Theres no bullshit at this school, they are honest with their prices and instruction and flight time and get you to your license as quick as you want to.Personally I fly in the Tecnam Sierra LSA and my instructor is Filipe Silva and I couldnt be happier with the instruction Ive been receiving here.
