The manager at this location is really cool. I had a bad experience picking up my truck the first time around but it was quickly resolved. Overall I had a easy , Great experience

The costumer service was great. I was able to get a truck without a reservation. I would recommend during busy times of the year like going back to college you reserve a truck. My only issue was the truck I got smelled if cigarette smoke. My over all experience was great. The clerk was very helpful and was quick to get me out and check the truck back in.

Super helpful this morning as I picked up a motorcycle trailer, the u-haul guy shovelled the snow and swept the trailer after hooking up and verifying proper connections. Ive rented a few trailers here since last year and the service is consistent, Ive waited no more than 5m everytime. They are practicing social distancing at this location, and the employee was wearing a mask throughout our interactions. Location is easy to enter and exit.

Trying to cancel my storage unit before I get charged another month, call every day and wait on hold for 15-20 minutes, no one ever answers, I’ve called first thing in the morning, early afternoon, late afternoon, 30 minutes before closing but nothing, also was never given an online account so I cannot cancel online. Extremely frustrating

Bad experience. Booked a trailer for a long haul. Was supposed to pick up, head home, load and go. I got there early, paid, went to the back to get the trailer hooked up and I get told the trailer isnt there and that another employee rented it out for a local move. No other trailer available. Their answer? I drive to Kenosha and pick up one there. 25 miles in traffic at 4:30. Offered a $50 rebate. I wanted more and I was laughed at. Not much I could do. Theyre pretty much the only game in town. Not the first time Uhaul has disappointed. Not very good.

A wonderful storage and moving business. We would recommend them to anyone. Arnold and his staff work hard to help you. Moving can be stressful, but he does everything he can to help ease that stress. He always seems to be available to help, no matter what the hour, and if you can’t immediately reach him, he will always contact you back in a timely manner. We recently were in a bind and called while on the road, during non-business hours-he was there to help & give us the peace of mind knowing that is will be taken care of-not to worry-- and it was. The staff was even there to help on Sunday, when most others’ are not open. The rates are fair. He doesn’t upsell you, or pressure you to upgrade. Arnold & his staff are friendly and helpful. Great people to do business with. They will take care of you.

Arnold Clark was a great representative for U-Haul. He listened very tentatively, answered my concerns and he reconfirmed my choices. One thing forgotten was the dolly, but it turned out we managed without it.

I was looking for a quality company I could use in fall and spring to remove and re-install my trailer hitch on my new Camry. I found a great technician in Arnold Clark, GM of U-Haul Moving of Chain OLakes, located in Antioch, Illinois.I called ahead to discuss if he was familiar with my hitch and he assured me he has had experience with this hitch and my car, so I set up an appointment. I showed up on the scheduled time and he was ready to go! His tools were ready and he did not waste any time. I walked across the street for lunch and was so surprised when he called me a short time later letting me know the hitch was removed.The price was fair and I will certainly use Arnold next spring to re-install the hitch.In addition to his skills, the shop is clean and neat.I highly recommend this U-Haul location and Arnold Scott, General Manager.

I own a small company where I need to rent the trailers a lot and the trucks quite often so I pretty much live at this facility. Each time I come back the service gets better and better. Horrible Experience.Set up a trailer hitch installation appointment a week ahead of time for 7am install and wait for completion. I called two days before the appointment to make sure all of the parts were still available. They said yes, youre appointment for 10am drop off and 6pm pick up is all set. Uhm? So once that was straightened out I was good to go. Wrong.I brought my vehicle in 1 day a head of time so they could inspect the underside and make sure nothing needed to be tapped out before the installation. I drove all the way from lake bluff and the Manager took a picture of my undercarriage and matched it up to a diagram. I was told I was all set.Bring my vehicle in the next day. They start the install. About an hour in I get a text message with pictures saying a bolt had snapped and that it would need to be tapped out. I asked what was the point of me coming in yesterday to see if anything needed to be tapped out. I was told that by me coming in yesterday was only to see if they would accept the job and that there were no guarantees because my vehicle was so old (2006). The manager then starts making phone calls to local shops to see if anyone would tap the broken bolt out of the frame of the vehicle. He calls 5 places. No one will take the job. After the 3rd phone call he asks me it would be a great help if i could make some phone calls. UHM WHAT!? So after the 5th call I ask him if he tried Antioch Automotive (5 stars). No. He calls and they take the Job. Guy claims to have installed hitches for 7 years but doesnt have a local shop that will tap a bolt?1.5 hours later Antioch Automotive successfully remove the two bolts simply by heating them and taking their time.Drive back to U-haul. At this time they only have the manager on duty. He tells me he has to answer the phone, address walk-in customers, and install my hitch at the same time. I HAD TO DRIVE MY OWN VEHICLE ONTO THE VERTICAL INCLINE RAMPS ON A SNOWY HALLOWEEN DAY. So once my vehicle was on the ramp he starts the install. Only interrupted a few times until his employee showed up who was late to work the manager told me.You can watch the security camera footage in the lobby of the business and this girl shows up and is talking to the manager in the back as he is installing my hitch. At this point, distracted or not, this is not what I wanted to be witnessing. I asked the employee working behind the desk who the girl was? After a few tense moments and a brief stare down ( I was pretty livid ) he goes in the back and asks. As he walks back in he blows right past me and says Thats the managers girlfriend. So for almost a half an hour this girl is just hanging out in the back as this guy should be double timing my install.The manager then comes inside and tells me that the installation will require additional time because of the stereo system and the protective cages I have around my taillights. I ask again, this could have all been addressed when I drove here yesterday. Why didnt he say anything? I was told its not my responsibility to ask customers about aftermarket parts, i cannot ask everyone if they have stereos and such. Again . . . I brought the damn thing in for a pre-check under HIS recommendation! No mention what so ever that these things would be an issue. Then he has the nerve to tell me I should be glad he isnt charging me extra for the additional labor of 70.00 and hour. So you wont tell clients things that will make YOUR job easier? HMM.7 hours it took to install a trailer hitch on a Jeep Wrangler. I make look like a 25yr old kid but I am a 35yr old SCLM for a pharmaceutical company that just opened up 3 new distribution centers across the US. Believe me when I tell you that I made the recommendation to never use Antioch U-haul or any of their services for all of the upcoming jobs people are relocating to for the company.The actual install itself wasnt bad. I got to my destination with no issues whatsoever.

The truck was great, service wasnt. First time there to reserve a truck I waited over 30 minutes in an empty store. then to pick up the truck there was a lady that really didnt know what she was doing and the whole process was really slow. then she had the back up the truck for us and was saying that she barely knew how to drive. 🙄 told us to move back or she might hit us. the price was outrageous compared to the estimate we got, on top of putting our own gas in in. they wanted it clean when we brought it back but it wasnt clean to begin with.

After calling for over an hour and receiving no answer went to the location and there was nobody there. Waited for 10 minutes then left. Called the next day and still no answer. I went in the following week and was told that the manager only works in the morning. Tried on three separate occasions to resolve my account but the fees keep adding up. I would never recommend this place to anybody. The manager of this establishment is horrible.

Staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. We started by renting truck for different things and now have a unit. The facilities are clean and easily accessible.

Promised me a free month after one of their employees messed up and didnt sign us up for 24hour access. We rented a truck and was literally waiting outside at 2am with our storage load and couldnt get in. There is no communication between employees, call center and manager. The call center said I get a free month, the employee put it in the computer...when I went in to redeem it because I was told that it would automatically be taken care of. Then when I went in there after I got a past due email, it was a different employee and he said wait for paper bill. Paper bill never came and I get a random past due phone call from the manager. The manager says he will look into it although it is highly unlikely because if he gave out free months all the time he would be out of business never mind customer service and the trail that I have been lead down. He said he would call me back, never happened. Went in to store to solve problem once again and their computers and phones were down and no one could help me. When I asked for the manager I spoke with she told me it would do no good because there is nothing he can do but it will take months for them to close out my unit and auction my stuff so we can get it sorted out this was last week. I now have a prelein notice of myself losing access to my storage unit due to this mishap in 2 weeks ! Pulling all my stuff out and going somewhere else. This is insane.

Ive used this UHaul twice while moving and have received excellent service both times. I highly recommend them, the trucks were clean and ready to go at the time that I reserved them. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Horrible experience here. First of all manager arnold is next to impossible to get a hold of if a problem occured. Took a full week just to get a darn phone call! No on is ever in the office-too lazy to answer a phone. Lost the key and mr. Arnold said sarcastically its not my problem, figure it out. Finally left from the disgusting treatment and abandonment as a paying customer. Tried to buy a disc lock from him and waited in store for 1 hour with no one to be found. Finally he told me im not allowed in the store! Omg. If your rent here, your in for some bad treatment and days on end to weeks to get a return call or assistance! HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED. Take your business elsewhere!

If i could give negative stars i would! I completely moved out of my storage the month of Nov. Called in right after to close my account, kid over the phone said i was good to go. Didnt hear from them until a few days ago without any notice they decided to take 159.00 off my debit card without any permission what so ever. I called asap left three messages for the manager and he never called me. Now a few days later the owner is telling me i will be refunded but he can no do so, someone higher up has too. Its been two days since my money should of been returned and still nothing. I just keep getting the run around not okay! DO NOT use this uhaul location whatever !

Longest wait ever to puck up a small 5x8 trailer. Only one employee at the busiest time of the day. Also reservations are a joke, they had me pick up my trailer 35-40 minutes from my original location. Tried calling twice, was on hold for 10+ minutes and got hung up on both times. Should I keep going?

Had two separate occasions where my card was over charged and then they told me they would refund it after I was charged extra, which I am still waiting to see, after I specifically asked them if the card would be charged before or after I used the truck to what the replied after of course but that wasnt the case. Plus half of my stuff got ruined due to a leaky roof or something in there from water damage, and good luck with there insurance its a joke!!!
