I am a do it your self guy and when its a task to big or if I dont have the time he is my go to guy. He will not try to fix things that dont need fixing he doesnt make money on parts like most shops he wants you in and out as fast as you do, the shop isnt fancy but THE WORK IS GOOD.

Every time I have an issue with my car, my wifes car that I cant take care of myself I go to Joe and Josh. He may be opinionated and sometimes a bit tough to talk to, but never have I been unhappy with the work. I am also a mechanic, but I dont work as a mechanic any longer. He has always been honest in his assessment of an issue, admits when he was wrong and most importantly stands by his work. If its wrong he will take care of you, his honesty keeps him humble his prices reflect his humble start in this business. I consider myself lucky to be a customer and a friend.

I’ve been bringing my car to him for two years now. He does great work and he’s very quick. I have brought my car to him and he will usually have it done by the end of the day or the day after. he’s very up front with you about what needs to be done and what repairs are something that’s not even worth your time. He’s also a lot cheaper.

Joe has been my go to mechanic since Ive had a car (12 years now). I recommend him to anyone I know. I have probably saved thousands by going to Joe over other mechanics. He wont try to sell you extra parts that you dont need, in fact, the opposite. Most places will try to sell you pairs of things even if only one side or only the back or front needs it. Joe will let you know if one part needs to be replaced and the other one will last for a while still. Very nice to know Joe will never try to screw you over on anything. I just saved 500 bucks last week compared to another shop in town. The other place wanted to replace the part as well a few other parts. Brought it to Joe and he was able to just weld the hole shut and runs good as new. He also does not upcharge on parts, he will charge you what the part costs, and also lets you bring in your own parts if you want. Labor is at least 20 bucks cheaper an hour than most other places Ive been.

We found Joe on-line for an electrical problem with our Mitsubishi and did a great job. We just brought in our Chevy and he had it fixed in a day. Great service and fair price. Its refreshing to have a mechanic who is honest and realistic.

I got a flat tire because of the potholes down the street and pulled over infront of Auto Repairs by Joe. The two gentlemen that helped me (so sorry I didn’t get their names :( ) were so kind to put my spare on for me.As a young female I don’t like going into other auto shops (other than the one my family owns) because it worries me that i will get taken advantage of. These gentemen were so kind to drop everything they were doing to help me out for a couple minutes. I just want to give a big thanks to you two :) I would defiantly come back if I ever needed!

My experience with these guys was INCREDIBLE. My car was dying at 6pm, which is when ALL the auto shops in the area close, so as I was frantically searching for one that wasnt closed, I called Auto Repair by Joe. On the phone, the guy said they also close at 6, but understood the urgency of the situation and waited for me to get there. They fixed my car at HALF the price that a different shop was going to charge me just for the diagnosis, and they did it all - from the time I arrived to the time I left - in about 10 minutes. The cars still running great, thanks to Auto Repair by Joe!

Took my car to Auto repairs by Joe after getting a 1200 dollar quote for a ball joint replacement from Andys auto on 6th and Pierce St. I had a tie rod installed at Andys and Joe called and told me the new part wouldnt last 1 week. Total junk.Joe went with me to Andys and explained to them that the part was junk. He also drove back to Andys after being called and had to show the mechanic where the part was failing. The ball joints they wanted 1200 to put in were not needed . Andys redid the tie rod with Joe overseeing the job .Never going anywhere but Auto repairs by Joe .Dont waste your time and money at Andys when Joe is just down the street on North street in Anoka .for honest repairs see Joe

We were having issues with the lock in our Ford Expedition, and also had questions about a noise that it was making. I called Auto Repairs By Joe from a referral by a friend of mine. They listened and told me to bring the vehicle up and they would test drive it and take a look at the lock. My wife took it up there and they got it in right away. Joe fixed the lock and did not try to upsell anything!!! Honest auto shops are worth their wait in GOLD and Auto Repairs By Joe is golden in my book. I will NEVER take our vehicles to another auto shop!

Joe the owner and mechanic is a crabby, rude, sarcastic, outright jerk. I brought my vehicle back to him to because he didnt do it right the first time and he wanted to charge me again for what HE didnt do right the first time. This guy is so rude its comical where I chose not to even engage because you cant argue with fools and of course I wanted him to finish what he was supposed to have done the first time. I wouldnt recommend this shop to my worst enemy. Ill save you the time and pure irritation/agitation by warning you ahead to stay clear of this place! When he finished doing what he should have done the first time he just turned and walked away to another part of his shop mumbling dont come back if you want anything else done for free. His son who works there even yelled at him for being such a crab ass. To top it off he is a male pig with multiple pictures of women sexualizing and demoralizing them, with some of the pictures nude. Im all about supporting the small locall business, but this place, HECK NO.

HORRIBLE SHOP!! JOE IS A RACIST POS! Got our truck towed here to get fixed only to get our trucks windows shot out with BB guns by misfits in the area. Many other cars were also shot out as well. Including surrounding neighborhood reports of windows being shot out. Joe didnt have anything pleasant to say about it, yet started yelling and blaming my husband for having a rough past and someone that he had issues with must have targeted him...........really, did you say that to any of the Caucasians that came in and complained as well? Didnt think so. Left it alone for some time, drove by to see my truck in their POS neighbors backyard, North-star towing. HMMMMMMMMMMMM, I didnt authorize that?! You never called me to say it needs to be gone, you assumed that was OK without letting me know you were taking that step. Now I come up there today with a donation company for them to pick up and North-star tells me I OWE FOR THE TOW FROM NEXT DOOR your out of you GD MIND! I WILL BE FILING A POLICE REPORT. Illegal! No-one authorized you to tow my truck next door. They said you called me? You know you never called me, your a liar and a crook!

Joe has serviced both our vehicles and I couldnt even imagine taking it any where else. He is honest and trys to work within your budget.He always takes the time to listen and take a look. One vehicle needed a radiator, Joe did for around 1/2 the price as other local auto shops and same day. Our other vehicle is a 2008. He fixed the Trani Leak, engine miss, and brakes. He saved me thousands!! To get ideal other shops told me I needed new rotors, a $500 or more job. Not Joe, he looked and said nope, just new front pads. Now it stops on a dime and purrrs like a dream. I will never bring my car to anyone else, but him. I love to support local business and he deserves it!Update: Still no problems with work done on my 2008 Dodge Caravan over a year ago!! I stopped by because my check engine light came on. Joe came out right away to check and clear it. It was my silly gas cap, he worked his magic and my light went off. It was something so small but Joe and his son Josh always make sure they are thorough. Couldnt find a better family to work with!

I hope you dont ever loose your invoice on work youve had done at this place and need to get a copy of it because these guys are so old school they dont use computers and you wont be able to get a copy of it and if you call them to try and get a copy of it they will get pissed and hang up the phone on you, very unprofessional. I would be worried to have someone work on my car who cant even use a computer.
