I use these guys for all my cars. Yesterday I took my 2015 Tacoma in for a standard 60k tuneup and a look over, because I had just purchased the truck from a dealer. It turned out the rear transfer case seal had a leak. I had purchased a warranty from the dealer that was valid for this. Chesapeake Import went above and beyond in dealing with the warranty company, which asked for a presale inspection that the dealer had done. Sara took the time to call the dealer and forward the inspection to the warranty company. Then she followed up on my behalf to get the payment expedited. This was also the first time they dealt with this warranty company specifically. This was way more leg work than I expected and very much appreciate it. I would certainly recommend this company. I’ve been happy with all the work they have done for me.

Overall there were several things they did well but I feel they somewhat nickel and dime the customer. I had a compressor replaced and tires that need replacing. They were pretty communicative, close to on time with the repairs, and were very friendly. That’s what I think was good upfront.Their prices were OK, not the cheapest, not the most expensive either.What I didn’t like is when I received the original quote, it did not match the final price due to their own internal mistake. I had to eat the difference even though it was their mistake. Also, when I first brought in the car I told them that the compressor was most likely bad. But they charged me $135 to evaluate that, which I understand, but then when I initiated the repair to replace the compressor they did not roll that charge into the overall service like many other places do.I would likely use them again but only if I have to.Update: After the review, they took the time to try to make everything right and further explained a lot of their procedures which had not been previously done. I appreciate their effort to rectify the situation which I think is much more important they’re just leaving the customer not completely satisfied. Updated reading based on this update

Always appreciate the detailed inspection along with the pictures and recommendations every time I have an oil service performed. Staff is always professional and, even though it might cost a bit more to have the oil changed there, I know it is worth the extra money spent because I know the job is always done right and the rest of the car is being looked after for potential problems as well.

Not only did they do a MASSIVE comprehensible work up on my car, it also came with pictures of my vehicle and explanation of what needed to be fixed in order of high to low of was was needed to be addressed. After receiving a quote of all things that needed attention ( with a price I couldn’t take care of all at once) the tech I spoke reassured me that a majority of theses items could be fixed in time and didn’t pressure me at all... not to mention that they are completely contactless and did everything without ever having to step foot in the shop.... I’m impressed and will come back again and again!

My rear tire looked flat. I had an appointment in Upper Marlboro but I didnt want to drive that far without having it checked out first. They took me immediately and sure enough, I had two nails in the tire. They fixed it right away and I was on my way. I have dealt with Chesapeake Import for years and rely on their professionalism and integrity, They are wonderful.

Rick and his team are wonderful to work with. I contacted them when I received a dealer repair estimate for my Mercedes that seemed out of line. They looked at the car and suggested that, based on the dealers own specifications, half the work didnt need to be done for another six months or more. Been taking multiple cars to Chesapeake Import Services for several years now. My most recent experience was with our Honda Odyssey. As always, I got a straight answer on what service I needed, quickly. I really like the Vehicle Health Report...especially sent by text.

We arrived in Annapolis with car trouble. With accurate diagnosis, we were able to continue our journey and set an appointment for repair. The repair cost was accurate and the time necessary for gathering all the parts was spot on. The staff are knowledgeable and cheerful. Even the waiting room was comfortable and complete with great reading material. Once the repair was completed, we drove away with confidence restored in our vehicle.

First contact, not yet a paying customer, to check service light. Fixed as computer needed to be reset, no charge. Recently had needed service work completed. Good open discussion as to options, timing etc.Very professional presentation and workmanship. Would highly recommend them.

From start to finish a fantastic experience at this shop! I arrived with a vehicle that suffered catastrophic failure on Route 50. (Good times!). The CIS crew evaluated my engine, gave me options, provided me their extensive experience and suggestions, assisted me in locating a new engine, and personally went to PA during the COVID-19 pandemic to get it for me. Jessica kept me informed of additional issues as they occurred during the rebuild. One repair required an additional $995 just for the part (but $2,000 later with parts and the labor to access it). During the final test drives (they did multiples), they found, and fixed my broken drivers side window (unrelated to the engine!) and fixed it. Normally a $600 repair. They did it for less than $200 using parts they had on hand. My final invoice came in under budget and the car runs great. And they put gas in my car!! I couldnt be happier and I WILL be back!

My knowledge of car maintenance is not very vast. I brought my Audi here because the gas tank door actuator was broken and needed to be replaced. The staff there were very knowledgeable and friendly. They fixed my problem quickly, did a quick check up of my vehicle, and even gave me some tips on how I can maintain my vehicle on my own. Chesapeake Import Services is one of the ONLY car repair service centers I would bring my vehicle. I have been ripped off by more car repairs shops and I never have to worry about that here. They will not deliver low quality work and will tell you exactly what you need and not make stuff up like other service centers/dealerships Ive gone to in the past have done. Chesapeake Import Services sets the bar high for trustworthy service.This visit I had a tires replaced, rear shocks replaced, oil/filter change, spark plugs replaced, and brake fluid flushed. None of it was unexpected because on previous visits they took photos and notified me that certain service would be necessary in an upcoming visit. I rely on my car for a daily 140-mile commute. Since they recommended Bridgestone DriveGuard run flat tires, my car new literally drives BETTER than the day I drove it off the BMW lot! Thanks...Ill keep expecting outstanding service. :-)

You can probably find cheaper places, but Chesapeake always does the job right and stands by their work. Jessica is a gem. All staff are great and very knowledgeable. You can’t go wrong with them.

Very thorough analysis and service but expect to pay dealer prices. BMW parts vs after market (with prices to match) and labor rates just about the same as the dealer. First thing you are told is it will be $200 for analysis with their super duper fault code reader - expected I would pay this if I did not have the work done, but these folks charge you for both the analysis and the repair. Bottom line was over $1300 for a fuel pump that my regular mechanic would have charged me about $900 for - albeit it with after market parts.

I have been dealing with Chesapeake for over 15 years. I go there for one reason-I trust them. I just had a difficult to identify problem with my BMW M5. Chris spent days researching, testing, and researching again to make sure he had isolated the problem. He fixed what needed to be fixed, which saved me thousands of dollars. I’m positive if I took it to a BMW dealer they wouldn’t have spent the amount of time it took to identify the problem. They would have replaced a number of parts at 3X the cost.

Ive had nothing but outstanding service from Chesapeake Imports for the past two years. The techs are all top notch and give you solid advice. Jessica (the customer rep) is as knowledgeable about cars as Marisa Tomeis character in My Cousin Vinny. They work with you to ensure that your car will keep running for as long as you want to own it. Some of their customers have cars that are 300k+ miles. They are also very understanding with scheduling and appointments, working with you as a close relative would. Prices are reasonable and competitive with the local (BMW) dealer, but the dealer cannot compete with them on service.

Brought my 2002 Jetta TDI in for a listen on a Thursday afternoon and it was recommended that I not drive it home. Not having planned on this, the staff helped me with a rental from Enterprise so I could get home safely. They suggested I get the rental until Tuesday, okay. Imagine my surprise when they called me Friday morning and told me my car might be ready that day! I didnt get my hopes up but I got another call at 4 telling me my car was ready! Amazing! They under promised and over delivered! Will definitely be bring my car in for regular service!

This is by far the best auto maintenance/repair shop Ive ever used. The people are great, and Jessica, who actually runs the place (sorry Chris and Clyde) is as knowledgeable about cars as anyone Ive met. I was referred to Chesapeake Import Services by friends in Annapolis that have been using them for over a decade. Ive been with them for 5 years or so, and wouldnt take my 540i anywhere else.

They do really great work here. However, it is as expensive or more than the dealer. They also dont always have availability if you get into a bind, you might have to wait a few days. Also, for after market warranties, they only partially cover the repair, as their hourly rate and time is always more than most of those will pay.

I brought my car in for a MD State Inspection upon moving to Annapolis. I had a very positive experience - the people were all friendly and welcoming, and the mechanics were trustworthy. A great find! Thanks for the service!
