DO NOT use National Counseling Group if you wish to submit bills to insurance for reimbursement. They do not use proper diagnosis and procedure codes, and will not help AT ALL to ensure you get reimbursement from your insurance company. We used them for a year and a half, and did not receive any billing statements! Instead, they would call saying we were late on payments. I tried to get them to mail me a statement but they never did. They said their codes were for Medicaid and they could not change them. The only way I ever saw the codes they used was a .pdf spreadsheet file one of their employees sent me after I asked for a billing statement. So apparently they have no clients with private health insurance? I called and e-mailed them many times, but they didn’t respond. My insurance company even tried to reach them and were hung up on. I even went to their office twice during office hours but no one was there. I paid them $9000 but was unable to get any of it reimbursed because of their improper coding and complete lack of assistance. I lost about $3000 in reimbursement because of them. While the therapist we used was good, their administration and billing departments were awful! Not worth it. STAY AWAY!Update: National Counseling Group responded below but has yet to contact me two weeks later. While they don’t participate with private insurance, they should at least provide a detailed billing statement so I can submit it myself to insurance for reimbursement.

Cannot get ahold of someone to call me back about my worker picking and choosing which appointments they want to go to and which ones they dont. I was given the excuse that they arent compensated for gas which shouldnt be my problem. As long as the appointment is within the 3 hour time slot there shouldnt be a problem. Its been two weeks since I started this process. I was with another company and it took them two days to get me into services after getting approved by insurance.

The counselors I worked with were phenomenal! They were able to accommodate my hectic schedule easily and were always available when I needed them. I would like to thank Christian and Brad for working with me and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors!
