I started training Hung Gar Kung Fu at AMAS when I was 13 years old. This was by far the best decision I ever made. AMAS became my home away form home. Training here Increased my overall physical fitness and helped spring board me to the career path I am on now. The instruction here is top notch, and after leaving Ann Arbor to go to college and experience the quality of instruction at other TMA schools I can say this with 100% confidence. This is not a McDojo by any stretch of the imagination. If your goal is to get a black belt in a year or less then this is not the place for you. When I get myself settled back in Ann Arbor, I will be coming back to AMAS to continue my learning.

The first martial art i took was kung fu with Sensei Karl Scott back in 1984. Awesome intrstuctor and the dojo was home away from home. I also studied in the aikido program for a short time. A very good group to train with.Steve Stanley.
