Absolute garbage service. My phone needed a new charging port, so I brought it in to get it fixed. The cost to replace the charger port was $80. When I got the phone back the charger port was fixed, but the microphone was broken, so I had to bring it back in again. To their credit, they acknowledged that they were responsible for the damage and offered to replace the phone for free with the same model, but I looked online and the cost of the new phone was only $50! So I paid $80 for a $50 phone, plus I had to make four trips to the store. Stay away.

Dan was very honest with me. He told me a main part of my operating system wasnt working and could not be repaired. He did not charge me for inspecting it. He helped me with my current phone in correcting my settings and restoring my apps. He was very knowledgable and very respectable to me. I would not hesitate to come here again.

They replaced a cracked screen on an iPad Mini, but used a cheap knock-off replacement part. The swiping and gestures never worked right again, and the screen eventually cracked into many sharp pieces. I’m glad it didn’t injure my children. Definitely not tempered glass. Total garbage company.

Here is my story, I am a local firefighter whose phone was drenched in a recent fire and not working correctly. I took it there to see what they could do to salvage my phone. They told me it would have to have some chemical bath to repair the water damage and replace the screen. Desperate, I said go ahead. I picked up the phone and all seemed good except cloudiness in the camera and an inoperable home button, $150 was paid and out the door I go. Later that evening I found that neither microphone was working and returned to the store 2 days later because I was on duty at the fire station the day after they supposedly fixed it. I told them about the issue and they offered to re-evaluate it for a price. I informed them that this is why I paid them initially and they didn’t correct the problem. I asked for a refund of the chemical bath with seemed to do nothing and they again stated they could fix the problem for a price. I left the store and went to the apple store where they were nice enough to discount me the $150 I was screwed out of at this store. DO NOT USE THIS STORE. They are liars and cheats.

You save money but you never know what you will get with a revamped, used cell phone. The best part is that as of today, April 2019, you can trade in your iPhone at the Apple store and get mad money off your upgraded iPhone. The clerk is (sad to admit) stereotypical, monotone, disinterested human: “you want the phone or not” ‘tude going on. I’m sure they’ll be more professional to the next guy.

My really old Galaxy S4 was DEAD. They diagnosed it, and replaced the faulty power button all for under $60, and it was back in my hands in under 24hrs. They even had to transport it to and from a different location where the soldering tech works. Very impressed.

Mike was very helpful and did a great job placing a protective shield on my phone. He was knowledgeable and answered several questions I had regarding an update. I will definitely do business here again and urge others to do the same.

Closest location is the Eisenhower Ann Arbor location. staff is knowledgeable and helped me with what I needed, unfortunately they didnt have the part in stock. (but at least they will have it available in a couple days) - Will definitely come back to get my phone repaired. Spending the $90 bucks to replace Samsungs failed charging port issue is worth not having to get locked into an extended contract with my phone company. Will post later on their repair service and efficiency.

Aron at the carpenter road location made it quick and easy to drop off my phone to have the screen replaced. I was in between meetings at a conference and literally only had 15 minutes to drop my phone off and get back when Aron took the information over the phone so i barely had to get out of the car to give him my phone. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Changed my iPhone battery in 30 minutes. The rush service cost $30.00 extra otherwise it would have been 2-3 hour wait. You basically pay extra to be pushed up in the queue.

I stopped in today because the screen on my iPhone was becoming detached. It was able to be fixed immediately at a very fair price. While I thought of doing what they did to fix it, it was done in a much more professional manner than I would have done and Im sure I would have broken something else in the process. When I entered place was very clean. The sales rep greeted me nicely and offered me all the deals they had. Also the store manger came out as well and he ensured me that they will have the phone repaired nicely. Prices were very fair and the very homely place to go very fast with the express repair. They had the best prices and the fastest repair. But more importantly, when I had a problem with the phone (related to the part they were shipped and not their work), they went back and re-did the work for free even though they could have weaseled out of doing it in the terms of the warranty. They demonstrated integrity when they didnt have to.

My iPhone 8 crashed and would not turn back on, and I thought all my data was lost forever. Tim is amazing and was able to get the broken phone back on long enough to back up my data and transfer it to my new phone, all within a very reasonable timeframe and for a cost that was a fraction of what I wouldve gladly paid.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3, that I bought a little over 3 years ago. I have no complaints with this phone, but I cracked my screen recently. My first thought was to just get an upgrade from my provider. After researching my options, I discovered I was going to spend over well over $600.00 to replace this phone. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They did not have my replacement screen in stock, but said they could have my phone done in a couple days. I decided to leave my phone with them since the screen was unusable anyways. This was Wednesday at closing. I received an e-mail from them Saturday just before noon that my phone was ready. When I picked up my phone it was repaired perfectly. The total price out the door with a new battery was less than a third of what I would have spent on a new replacement. I shattered my phone screen and closest repair location was Carpenter Road Genius....an hour drive from where I am. Originally, I was told two hours to repair but when I went back was told glass had to be ordered. It took a week but during this time I was in contact with Dillon and Michael and they were understanding of my frustration and were very nice to deal with. They mailed my phone to me overnight! I came in after 6pm, less than an hour before they close with a smashed screen iPhone 6. Mike offered to repair it on the spot. I walked out less than an hour later with a 100% repaired phone. Both Mike and his coworker were friendly, fast, and courteous. I would go here before trying other stores for cell phone repairs.

I had a screen replaced on a Samsung a few months ago. Last week there was a separation between the LCD and the glass which prevented the screen from working. The tech looked at my phone and said he would have no problem warranting the repair, then emailed me 2 days later saying he found a crack in the screen which is not covered by the warranty. The crack was not there when I handed the phone in, and when I tried to explain to the tech he gave me a lengthy speech in how much trouble hed be in if he replaced the part for free.Despite reading all the positive reviews, all Ive experienced is poor workmanship and cheap motives. Two stars because the tech apologized for being rude.

I needed help with replacing the battery in my iphone; a small screw was stripped and I was willing to pay for its removal. The staff was very courteous, quicky removed the screw for me, and would not accept a tip or charge for this service. Plus, they gave me an old screw that I could use as a replacement part, no charge. This is the kind of excellent service that builds repeat business and customer loyalty. A cellphone / Tab repairshop on carpenter road. They repair most smartphones, install screen protector film / glass and sell accessories. Cost of repair is comparable to similar repair shop brands but some accessories are way more expensive compared to online price tags ( like any other stores). Though they are not rude, I would not term the staff here as friendly. They are not very accommodative when you ask many questions. Easy access from carpenter road, parking is shared with other businesses.

They told me several different things with regard to price and what needed to be done with my phone, and ultimately they were given a phone that worked perfectly aside from a the SIM reader and gave me back a phone that not only had the broken SIM reader but now also has a broken screen. I cant even wipe it to sell it because I have no way to see what Im doing on the phone!

Stopped in to get our Asus tablet repaired, and they could not help us because of the way that Asus does their parts. Everyone there was super friendly and explain the situation which I completely understand and we ended up having to take and send our Asus tablet to the manufacture.But should we have a problem with our phones or other tablets, we will definitely bring it to Genius Phone Repair since they were so helpful.

I bought a battery to replace it myself in a Samsung S6. Not sure if they sell different parts to customers vs what they install themselves, but the battery I purchased from them didnt last more than 8 months before it started to swell. It also wasnt a genuine Samsung battery that was sold to me. It had a sticker on it that said Premium Replacement which makes it look like a cheap knockoff.If they at least offer a warranty of a year or more on their repair work then thats good, but beware buying parts to DIY. I would not trust them to help DIYers at all simply because were not the money making customers for them. Shameful...

Very friendly, I have an I phone 5s and its been having battery issues since I bought it from another vender used over time the battery started to expand and caused the LCD screen to come off. Ive been ghetto rigging my phone to work for 3 or 4 weeks now and finally broke down to try and get a new phone or at least repair what I have. A friend told me that there are places that repair screens and they are reasonable. So I googled it and this place popped up. Im grateful I did. they were able to replace my entire LCD display and battery for about 116.00 including tax. Which is a hell of a lot cheaper than purchasing a new phone. When I was in the store they were friendly and since they werent swamped the whole process took only 2 hours I dropped off the phone gave them my info and paid when I picked up. They did let me know that they guarantee their parts and labor which is comforting unless you drop it in the lake or something but thats pretty much anything you buy these days. Also they had a list of pricing located on their sight this was very helpful in deciding if I should do it or not and I noticed when I walked in the store they had refurbished phones for sale as well. Im thinking in a few months I may upgrade to the six they were pretty reasonable. Over all as an experience I couldnt have asked for more fast friendly and knowledgable.
