The crew at Rons Garage always do a great job with my car. I trust them to take care of what is needed to keep my car safe so that I can get back on the road. Their prices are reasonable for the area, similar to other places around. The employees are professional and they really care about customer service. If you want to go to a shop where the employees treat you right go to Rons Garage. Bonus points that they shuttle you home and back to the shop if you live within a certain distance.

I took my car to Ron’s Garage after getting a diagnosis from a different shop.( I did not tell Todd about the previous diagnosis).I just told them to “check the front end” I got some noise.They gave it the once over. They took pictures of what they found and suggested some other Preventive maintenance items.All and all I got the suggested work done. Been needing to get a loud clunking noise checked out before a long road trip. Went by Rons shop about once a week and finally decided to take it in. Ron and his guys looked at my car and found all the gremlins. I had them fix the clunking noise (both front axle shafts). they really treated me right and even threw in a free item that they forgot to take care of initially. Ive been taking my cars to Rons Garage for almost 20 years, ever since I moved to the area. Rons is a great family run business with professional staff thats always treated us right. This past week I brought my daughters car in for some break work. The breaks had rusted a bit due to lack of use over the pandemic. Rons team got the work done fast, for a reasonable price, and now the car drives like new.

Rons is a wonderful mechanic here in Ann Arbor. We moved up here 5 years ago and were not sure who to use and who we could trust... Rons was recommended by a friend and we could not be happier. I took my car to Rons Garage for a muffler and rear brakes. They said I needed all 4 brakes, the muffler, and the exhaust manifold. $1629. AND they wanted to charge me $80 for the estimate if I didnt use them (but Ron said Im not gonna argue when I refused.)I took it to Malleks Auto. Rear brakes and muffler. Said theres a little bit of leaking exhaust but nothing that needs fixing at the moment. $572.Rons Garage tried to rip me off for over a grand. Stay away from them.

Ive always been really anxious when it comes to auto-repair. Sure, I drive a car every day but I literally know next to nothing when it comes to vehicle maintenance. Its hard not to feel a bit pathetic when I walk into an auto-body shop since, when asked what is wrong, I can barely describe what is actually going on.So, imagine my surprise when I received such an incredibly warm welcome as soon as I stepped foot inside of Rons Garage. I explained my issue as best as my limited knowledge allowed me and it was received with literally no judgement! I was astounded by how friendly this place was! My car was actually serviced by THE Ron himself, and wow, what an incredibly pleasant man he is.I was just looking to get my windshield wipers replaced and to ask about my wiper fluid. While doing this he noticed that my tube connecting my wiper fluid to where it belonged was severed, and pointed out that the last person who fixed this did it in such a way that would eventually mean work for me. He even brought me over and pointed out all the little plastic pins this last mechanic did to keep this tube in place, which, sure, may have worked for a short while but overall proved to be ineffective.All in all, Ron really helped me out, especially since the winter season is just around the corner and having wipers that you can actually use is essential. He was just super nice and also practiced proper distancing/cleaning when handling my vehicle, too, given the pandemic.Overall, I paid way less than what I was expecting and even hung around just talking with him when it was all said and done. I honestly cant recommend this place enough. Everyone needs a mechanic they can trust and I feel 100% safe to say that I will absolutely be coming back here whenever necessary!

Ive been using Rons Garage for 2 years now, so I feel I have a pretty good understanding of them as a service provider. Ive always had good experiences with everyone at the office, with everyone being extremely friendly and welcoming. They have even offered to pick me up or drop me off to and from the garage when I didnt have other transportation (pre Covid-19). Having a daughter far away from home for the first time is worrisome, especially if she experiences car problems. My daughters car failed to start and I knew that it was more than a battery, as that was fairly new. When I called Ron answered the phone himself, this to me is a good sign, an owner cares about his customers. I did deal with a very professional Todd at the garage as well. They had my daughters car running and at their shop within 15 minutes. They didnt go the usual route of just selling me a new battery, in fact never mentioned it. What they did do is diagnose the problem. It came down to some engine and body ground wires that were worn thin over time. They also did a multi-point inspection of the rest of the cars functions, in which I chose a couple of crucial ones to keep the car running good. Overall, couldnt be happier with Rons service. I would highly recommend them for any car repairs.

As always, I had a great experience at Rons Garage. They performed an oil change and swapped the set of tires to the snow set of tires. They did this while I waited in their waiting area. They at all times practiced social distancing and masks. Todd wiped my key with antiseptic wipe when I gave it to him and again before returning the key. They are always honest about what repairs are needed and which ones can wait. Wouldnt think of bringing my vehicles to any other place!

I got my alignment fixed at this garage, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They were patient as I figured out my finances, they drove me to where I needed to be while they fixed my car, and they let me pick it up after hours. I cant speak to having any major work done, but they were super friendly and accommodating! They also included a free inspection of my car, checking everything important and including an online report, photos included!

I ordered a set of tires from TireRack and Ron’s was the only local installer who has a road force balancing machine so I elected to book with them. Todd at reception who took my booking was very courteous and accommodating and my appointment was made quickly and only a couple of days out.When I checked in for my appointment he was just as he was on the phone. I explained to him I had had bad luck at a previous garage who did some damage to my rims during an alignment. I had refinished them myself over the winter and asked that they be careful. He said that their machine would do no harm. A short while later he called me to tell me that the locating ring on the balance machine had left a mark and said they would make it right. When I picked my car up, the marks were barely visible (the tech tried to polish them out) and when I got back home a rub with a microfibre cloth took them out completely.I was very impressed with their honesty and also with the job they did! Most places would not have said anything and hope that it would not be noticed. They even charged me less than was quoted as well!5 stars, and I hope Ron reads these reviews. I have no financial affiliation in any way but I will return and have no problem recommending them.

Had my 2003 CRV in to Ron’s for some not-so-minor repairs. I love my car and want to keep it going as long as I can. Brought my beat-up Durango in for a set of tires and an alignment. Tire Rack listed them as a preferred installer, and they were close to my office. What a great find! Rons did a thorough job and found a safety issue in the suspension that was fixed on time and at a fair price. Having grown up working in my uncles repair shop, I am comfortable doing all levels of repair and am always sorry on the rare occasions I choose to let an outside shop do them for me. My experience at Rons was a welcome exception to that rule. The staff at Rons showed me that there are still shops out there that have honesty, integrity and competence to do the job right the first time with a high level of customer service. We have been taking our Toyota to Rons since 2011. The service is super--from the appointment system (online or on the phone) which is prompt, courteous and helpful, through the pick up/ drop off while the car is being serviced to the work they do (always clear, transparent and reasonable.) Could not think of a better run repair business.

I like Ron’s proactive approach to my cars’ maintenance. With a family of 5 we can’t be stranded on the side of the road. Plus minor problems can become expensive repairs if they aren’t addressed. Fast, friendly always on time.

So the oil light in my beater 2007 Saturn Vue comes on. (I love my beater Saturn, not trying to insult her/him/they.) We put oil in. Oil light comes back on 2 weeks later. Im thinking oil leak, right? I take the car to Rons Garage based on the good online reviews. MISTAKE. Instead of putting the car up on the lift and quickly determining the problem is just a corroded, rusted oil filter, Rons artistes de automobile conduct an unrequested, unwanted TEN POINT INSPECTION of the vehicle - which includes an oil leak detection dye job (NOT NECESSARY) plus quotes for ALL the maintenance weve deferred over the past few years, because, did I mention, this is an old beater of a car? They hand me an estimate for seventeen separate jobs on the car for - get this - $2,615.00. TWO THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED and FIFTEEN DOLLARS. Transfer case fluid change? Huh? Rear differential fluid change? What the --- Well, obviously I get the hell out of there as fast as a leaky old Saturn Vue can get me. (I did unfortunately have to pay them for an air conditioner recharge....more on that later). And because the cars oil is now just pouring out as fast as we pour it in, I have it towed (thanks AAA membership) to a guy I TRUST in Dexter. Marks Auto. Where they promptly replace the corroded filter and replace the oil. And, they tell me that the air conditioner issue is a compressor issue and really, theres no reliable way to fix it because GM doesnt make parts for Saturns anymore. So that $158 recharge was a waste of money. Heres the kicker. Total bill from Marks for the oil change and filter? $35.48. THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS and 48 CENTS. Moral of the story: Dont blindly trust online reviews. I think Rons Garage gets good reviews mainly because people are bringing in newish cars and they know that every little itty bit of maintenance will be done - even if its not completely necessary. Peace of mind for the highly risk-averse person for whom money is no object. Thats not me. Anyway, me and my little beater Saturn are happily back on the road - and the one thing Rons Garage recommended that probably SHOULD be done? Front strut replacement? Yeah, I wont be getting that done at Rons Garage.

Very thankful to have found Rons Garage. I was on my way to a wedding and noticed my car was slowly losing oil throughout my 4 hour trip. Quickly searching I found Rons Garage because of the stellar reviews online. Being short on time, Todd was very understanding and helpful to get my car in right away. Travis had the car on a lift, diagnosed the problem, and had the part to fix the leak quickly ordered and on its way. This is a 5 star shop! You cannot put a price on service like this.

The car suffered major engine damage and they called me with a cost to repair. It was more than the car was worth and I asked Todd for suggestions for I live 2 hours away from Ann Arbor.
